AS A RESULT, THE CONTACT CRASHED INTO THE REAR OF THE PRECEDING VEHICLE. THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED INJURIES THAT REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED AND TOTALED BY THE INSURANCE COMPANY. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 125,000.

THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE MOTOR NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 101,000.

TIPM FAILURE CAUSING REMOTE START FAILURE
I HAVE CONTACTED THE DODGE DEALSHIP IN LUGOFF SC TWICE REGARDING THE RECALL ON THE AIRBAG. THEY PUT ME ON LIST TO CALL WHEN THEY HAVE A REPLACEMENT OR A WAY TO FIX IT. IT HAS BEEN OVER A YEAR. I STILL HAVE NOT RECEIVED A CALL BUT I GOT A 3RD RECALL NOTICE.

TIRE PRESSURE SENSOR PROBLEMS: 7/6/2012 - RIGHT FRONT TPS CRACKED AND LEAKING AIR REPLACED. (MILEAGE 33,166) SAFFORD DODGE, FREDERICKSBURG, VA. (THEY DID NOT RESET) 7/7/2012 - TIRE PRESSURE LIGHT ON - REPLACED LEFT FRONT TPS. (MILEAGE 33,700) FAIR OAKS DODGE, CHANTILLY, VA 5/12/2016 - LEFT FRONT TIRE PRESSURE SENSOR CRACKED AND NEEDS REPLACEMENT. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE. ONLY A DODGE DEALER CAN REPLACE THE TIRE PRESSURE SENSOR. IN THE EVENT OF A FLAT TIRE OR ANYTHING ELSE, IT CANNOT BE SERVICED AND REPAIRED BUT BY A DEALER. THIS IS AN IMPOSSIBLE SITUATION WHEN YOU ARE TRAVELING. I HAVE CONTACTED DODGE HEADQUARTERS IN MICHIGAN ONLY TO BE TOLD THERE IS 'NO RECALL' ON THE ITEM AND NO WARRANTY SO NOTHING WILL BE DONE. I HAVE OWNED VEHICLES FOR OVER 50 YEARS AND THIS IS THE ONLY VEHICLE THIS HAS EVER HAPPENED ON. THE FACT THAT THIS IS NOW THE THIRD TIME THE TPS HAS TO BE REPLACED CERTAINLY MAKES ME QUESTION WHY? I REALIZE THAT I AM IN DEEP TROUBLE IF I HAVE A FLAT AND ALSO I CANNOT EVEN HAVE MY TIRES ROTATED BECAUSE OF THIS. IT IS OVER $200 EVERY TIME YOU HAVE TO GO TO THE DEALER TO HAVE IT REPLACED. WHAT A RIPOFF. AGAIN, THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE AND I FEEL DODGE IS NEGLIGENT.
CAR DIED WHILE DRIVING. MADE A RIGHT TURN AND CAR KILLED.
I TOWED TO HOLLYWOOD CHRYSLER JEEP FOR CAR REPAIR. THEY SAID THEY WOULD FIX TAKE CARE OF EVERYTHING. 3/5/16 RECEIVED A PHONE CALL FROM THEM AT ABOUT 2:00 AND WAS TOLD THAT THEY HAD FIXED THE CAR AND ONLY HAD TO REPLACE THE WIRE HARNESS. I ARRIVED AT THERE BETWEEN 3:30-4:00 ON 03/05/2016. I PAID THEY THEN GAVE ME A BUSINESS CARD FOR L.A. TOWING TOLD ME I WOULD PROBABLY NEED A TOW SOON. THE STEERING WHEEL WAS UPSIDE DOWN WHEN I RECEIVED THE CAR BACK. I STARTED THE CAR IT MADE A GRINDING SOUND AND KEPT CUTTING OFF WHILE I WAS DRIVING FROM STARTER LEFT LOOSE.ASKED WHY THEY DIDN'T FIX IT JUST HAVE IT TOWED BACK WHEN IT BREAKS DOWN AGAIN.ON 03/ 07 THE CAR BROKE DOWN AGAIN COMPLETELY. FROM THE TIME I RECEIVED IT FROM HOLLYWOOD CHRYSLER JEEP THE CAR KEPT CUTTING OFF AT ALMOST EVERY TEN MINUTES. ON 3/7/16 IT WOULDN'T CRANK ANYMORE SO I HAD TO LEAVE THE CAR THERE. IT GOT TOWED ABOUT 4-5 DAYS LATER BY EMS TOWING. IT IS STILL THERE. THE CUSTOMER SERVICE SUPERVISOR HE STATED THAT THEY WERE NOT OBLIGATED TO FIX THE CAR ONLY TO GET IT RUNNING AND THAT'S IT. HE SAID THAT THEY WERE NOT OBLIGATED TO PUT THE STEERING WHEEL ON CORRECTLY EVEN THOUGH THEY PERFORMED THE RECALL. I THEN ASKED HIM TO SHOW ME PROOF OF THE WIRE HARNESS REPLACEMENT AND HE STATED THAT THEY REPAIRED NOT REPLACED THE WIRE HARNESS. I THEN ASKED ABOUT THE ESTIMATE TO SHOW EXACTLY WHAT WAS THE ISSUES BECAUSE THEIR DESCRIPTION OF THE PROBLEM ON THE ESTIMATE PAGE WAS ONLY A REITERATION ON MY OBSERVATION. HE STATED THEY DIDN'T HAVE TO TELL ME WHAT WAS WRONG, ONLY GET THE CAR STARTED THAT'S ALL. HE STATED THAT THEY WERE NOT UNDER ANY OBLIGATION TO FIX WHAT WAS WRONG,THOUGH THE ONLY REASON I TOWED TO THEM WAS TO HAVE IT REPAIRED. ASKED WHY DID HIS MECHANICS LEAVE THE STARTER LOOSE BECAUSE THAT WAS THE MAIN ISSUE THAT I BROUGHT THE CAR THERE FOR. HE SAID YOU DON'T EXPECT FOR US TO FIX THE WHOLE CAR DO YOU.

THE VEHICLE WAS SERVICED PER NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 08V642000 (TIRES) AT EARNHARDT CHRYSLER JEEP DODGE RAM (1521 E DRIVERS WAY, GILBERT, AZ 85297), BUT THE REMEDY FAILED TO REPAIR THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT THE TPMS WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED AFTER THE RECALL REPAIR. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN BACK TO THE DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING OR REPAIRS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURES. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 88,000.
POWER STEERING LINE BLEW OUT AT THE CRIMP. LOST ALL POWER STEERING. DAMAGED PUMP. MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE WHILE DRIVING. SECOND LINE TO GO BAD IN 2 YEARS.
THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE SHOP FOR A COOLANT LEAK. IN THE COURSE OF THE REPAIRS, SIGNIFICANT ENGINE SLUDGE WAS DISCOVERED IN THE ENGINE. ONCE THE REPAIRS WERE COMPLETED, THE ENGINE RAN FOR APPROXIMATELY 30 MIN AFTER REPAIRS COMPLETED BEFORE BEING UNABLE TO START AND GOING BACK TO THE SHOP. THEY NOW SAY THAT A COMPLETE ENGINE OVERHAUL IS NEEDED.
VEHICLE IS A 6 CYL. USED POLICE PACKAGE UNIT WITH 107,200 MILES. ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS, VEHICLE HAS "SHUT OFF" WHILE DRIVING REQUIRING PUTTING VEHICLE IN NEUTRAL AND RESTARTING ENGINE WHILE PULLING TO A SAFE LOCATION WITHOUT POWER STEERING OR POWER BRAKES. THE KEY AUTOMATICALLY TURNED TO THE "OFF" POSITION EACH TIME, CAUSING THE ENGINE TO SHUT OFF. ALSO, KEY COULD NOT BE REMOVED AND WHILE IN THE OFF POSITION, ALL ACCESSORIES STILL WORKED. FINALLY WAS ABLE TO REMOVE KEY AND TOOK VEHICLE TO DEALERSHIP. SERVICE ADVISOR COULD NOT REMOVE KEY. APPOINTMENT MADE TO CHECK PROBLEM (1ST ONE 4 DAYS LATER), AND WHEN HOME, HAD TO DISCONNECT BATTERY TO SHUT OFF EVERYTHING. ONLY OTHER RECALL IS FOR THE TAKATA AIRBAG REPLACEMENT WHERE PARTS ARE STILL NOT AVAILABLE AFTER ALMOST A YEAR. VERY DANGEROUS WITH VEHICLE SHUTTING OFF WHILE DRIVING, PARTICULARILY FOR A NOVICE OR INSECURE DRIVER. FRUSTATING AND UNSAFE TO HAVE TO LEAVE KEY IN VEHICLE AND HAVING HIGH DOLLAR BATTERY GO DEAD...JUST REPLACED IT LAST MONTH FOR $215.00...
MY FAMILY AND I WERE INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT AND THE AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY, NOT ONE AND IT WAS THE FRONT END OF CAR THAT WAS IMPACTED ON US HWY 19 IN THE RAIN. WE DID SUSTAIN INJURIES AND ARE STILL WORKING ON OUR RECOVERY, BUT HAD THE AIRBAGS WENT OFF WE MAY HAVE BEEN SAVED FROM SOME OF THE DAMAGE TO OUR BODIES. I JUST WANTED TO LET YOU ALL KNOW AND I HAVE ALREADY PASSED THE INFO ALONG TO MY LAWYER, I JUST HOPE SOMETHING IS DONE SO THAT WHEN AIRBAGS ARE NEEDED PEOPLE RECEIVE THEM DEPLOYED ON TIME UNLIKE OURS THAT NEVER EVEN THOUGHT ABOUT COMING OUT.

THE CONTACT COASTED TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND WAS ABLE TO EXIT THE VEHICLE WITHOUT INJURIES. THE VEHICLES ENGINE BECAME ENGULFED IN FLAMES. THE FIRE DEPARTMENT EXTINGUISHED THE FIRE. THERE WAS NO POLICE REPORT FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 130,000.
IN AUGUST 2015, MY CAR WOULD NOT START SO I HAD TO REPLACE THE IGNITION MODULE AND PURCHASE A NEW KEY ($1000). ON OCTOBER 30, 2015, I WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY AT NIGHT IN THE RAIN WHEN MY CAR JUST SHUT OFF. I WAS NOT ABLE TO STEER AT ALL BUT I MANAGED TO PULL OFF THE ROAD. EVERYTHING ELSE IN THE CAR WORKED (LIGHTS, RADIO, EVERYTHING ON THE PANEL) THE ONLY THING THAT DID NOT WORK WAS THE CAR. MY CAR WILL NOT START BACK UP. I HAD TO TOW THE CAR BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP. HOW COULD SOMETHING LIKE THIS HAPPEN WHEN I REPLACED THE IGNITION MODULE THAT SEEMS TO BE THE CAUSE OF THIS PROBLEM? I AM VERY LUCKY WE WERE NOT INVOLVED IN A TERRIBLE ACCIDENT OR EVEN CAUSE A DEATH.

GOT A 2009 DODGE CHARGER WITH 150.000 MILES WHILE NORMAL DRIVING ON HIGHWAY ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON I STOPPED RIGHT AWAY THERMOSTAT CAP BLEW OFF TOOK IT TO DEALER AFTER I REPLACED THE CAP BECAUSE IT WAS RUNNING HOTTER THAN NORMAL THEY TOLD ME MIGHT BE A SENSOR NEXT DAY THEY CALLED CAR WAS SMOKING AND NEEDED NEW MOTOR I DID CHECK IT BEFORE I TOOK IT AND IT WASN'T SMOKING THEY TOOK TWO WEEKS TO REPLACE ENGINE NOW CALLED ME NOT READY NEEDS KNOCK SENSOR THE LONGER THEY HAVE IT THE MORE BROKEN THINGS THEY FIND IF IT'S NOT ONE THING IT'S ANOTHER I AM GOING TO JUST GO GET IT BEFORE THEY FLATTEN MY TIRES AND SAY I NEED NEW ONES ??

DRIVING AT HIGHWAY SPEED MY CAR SUDDENLY LURCHED AS IT LOST POWER. I WAS ABLE TO PULL OVER TO THE SHOULDER AND TURN THE CAR OFF BUT IT WOULD NOT RESTART.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE WEEP HOLE WAS FAILED ON THE WATER PUMP AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 125,000.

RECEIVED SAFETY RECALL R25/NHTSA 15V-313. HAVE ATTEMPTED SINCE SEPTEMBER OF 2015 TO GET RECALL FIXED BY KAHLO DODGE, NOBLESVILLE INDIANA WHERE VEHICLE PURCHASED. I HAVE BEEN WITHOUT SUCCESS. CALLED SHELLY, WHO IS IN CHARGE OF RECALLS AND HAVE BEEN IGNORED. CALLED 11/7/15 AND TOLD AGAIN THE PART WAS NOT AVAILABLE STILL FROM DODGE/CHRYSLER. ORIGINALLY IN SEPTEMBER SHE TOLD ME 2-3 WEEKS. IT IS NOW ALMOST FEBRUARY AND I HAVE STILL NOT RECEIVED A CALL TO REPAIR.
THE PROBLEM IS WITH THE 2.7 TIMING CHAIN AND ENGINE. CHRYSLER HAD ISSUES WITH THIS PROBLEM AND HAD FILED FOR BANKRUPTCY. THERE WAS A CLASS ACTION REGARDING THIS ISSUE. HOWEVER, CHRYSLER CORPORATION STILL EXISTS AND THE CUSTOMERS WITH THE PROBLEM STILL HAVE THE SAME ENGINE ISSUES. THERE SHOULD BE A RECALL FOR THE 2.7 ENGINE.
DRIVER AIRBAG INFLATOR RECALL: WE HAVE BEEN TRYING TO GET OUR DEALER IN ANDERSON SC TO FIX THIS RECALL ISSUE SINCE SEPT. 2015, IT IS NOW MAY OF 2016 AND DEALER STILL SAYS THEY DO NOT HAVE PARTS. I WANT TO KNOW WHY IT IS TAKING SO LONG TO GET THIS REPAIRED.

OUR 2009 DODGE CHARGER WAS IN THE GARAGE, I NOTICED SMOKE ON THE OUTSIDE OF THE HOUSE AND WENT INTO THE GARAGE AND OUR CAR WAS ENGULFED IN FLAMES. THE FIRE CAUSED EXTENSIVE DAMAGE TO THE GARAGE AND SMOKE & WATER DAMAGE TO THE ENTIRE HOUSE. THIS THE SUMMARY FROM THE FIRE INSPECTOR THAT WAS SENT OUT BY OUR INSURANCE COMPANY: BASED ON SCENE OBSERVATIONS, WITNESS INTERVIEWS, AND INFORMATION RECEIVED, THE CAUSE OF THE FIRE WAS MOST PROBABLY RELATED TO AN ELECTRICAL FAILURE INVOLVING WIRING AND OR COMPONENTS OF THE 2009 DODGE CHARGER. MORE SPECIFICALLY, THE FIRE OCCURRED IN THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT ON THE DRIVER SIDE. THE CAUSE OF THE FIRE WAS AN ELECTRICAL EVENT OCCURRING IN THE ORIGIN AREA RESULTING IN THE IGNITION OF COMBUSTIBLE WIRING INSULATION AND OTHER COMBUSTIBLE MATERIALS WITHIN THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT AREA LEFT SIDE.

I WAS DRIVING MY 2009 DODGE CHARGER ABOUT A YEAR AGO AND THE CAR JUST CUT OFF WHILE GOING DOWN THE ROAD. I WAS ABLE TO PULL OVER (LUCKY I AVOIDED CAUSING AN ACCIDENT) AND IT RESTARTED WITH NO PROBLEM. I HAVE HAD NO OTHER PROBLEMS UNTIL A MONTH AGO I CAME OUT OF THE MALL TO GO HOME AND THE CAR WOULD NOT START. FINALLY AFTER 10 MINUTES OF TRYING AND PRAYING, THE CAR STARTED RIGHT UP AND GOT ME HOME WHICH WAS ABOUT 50 MILES AWAY. IT WOULD NOT START AGAIN AFTER THAT. I HAVE REPLACED THE BATTERY AND MANY FUSES. THE CAR STARTED ONE TIME WHEN WE FIRST REPLACED THE BATTERY BUT AS SOON AS I TURNED IT OFF IT WOULD NOT START AGAIN. WE FIGURED OUT HOW TO START THE CAR ONE MORE TIME TO GET IT TO THE DODGE DEALERSHIP. I AM HAVING TO REPLACE THE IGNITION MODULE AND PURCHASE A NEW KEY. I AM LOOKING AT A $960.00 BILL. THERE WAS A RECALL ON THIS EXACT PART FOR THE MANUFACTURE DATE OF MAY 2007 - MAY 2008. MY CAR WAS MANUFACTURED AUGUST 2008. I BELIEVE THIS FAULTY PART WAS ALSO USED ON MY CAR. AFTER READING ALL THE COMPLAINTS FOR THIS YEAR MODEL, WE SHOULD BE INCLUDED IN A RECALL. $960.00 JUST TO REPLACE A KEY!!!!

DODGE DEALERSHIP IN WATSONVILLE CA TOLD ME NEVER TO BRING MY CAR TO BE FIXED BY THEM AGAIN, MOSTLY BECAUSE I HAVE A LIFETIME WARRANTY AND PURCHASED AN ADDITIONAL SMALL PARTS LIFETIME WARRANTY AND EVERY TIME I TAKE IT IN TO BE FIXED , IT COMES OUT WITH THE SAME PROBLEM . BUT I DIGRESS.. I DO NOT BELEIVE THEY WILL CALL ME AT ALL FOR THE RECALL AIRBAG DRIVER'S SIDE REPAIR. IT HAS BEEN AT LEAST A YEAR AND A HALF , SINCE THE RECALL WAS ISSUED.
