BRAKES GAVE OUT AND PEDAL BECAME HARD WHILE IN MOTION GOING UP ON GEORGE DIETER , EL PASO TEXAS. UNABLE TO STOP UNTIL I PRESSED THE BRAKE HARDER. WHILE PUSHING THE PEDAL MAKING A AIR NOISE AND REALLY STIFF.
CAR STOPS WITHOUT WARNING, WILL NOT ACCELERATE AND DIES, NO WARNING INDICATORS BEFOREHAND, ONLY POPPING THE BATTERY LIGHT AFTER IT STOPS ACCELERATING. WAS TRYING TO MERGE ONTO THE HIGHWAY AT THE TIME. RADIO, INTERIOR LIGHTS, AND EMERGENCY FLASHERS STILL WORKED, ENGINE WOULD NOT RESTART. CAR HAD TO BE TOWED HOME FOR REPAIRS. PROBLEM WAS NOT BATTERY RELATED.
DRIVING CAR NORMALLY. I PARKED IN A PARKING LOT AND WENT INTO A STORE. WHEN I CAME OUT TO START THE CAR IT WOULD NOT START. CHARGING INDICATOR LIGHT AND CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. AUTO ZONE WAS IN THE PLAZA SO I HAD THE GUY COME OUT AND DO A DIAGNOSTIC. CODES WERE P0123, P2122, P2127, P0222, U0401. WHEN THE GUY WENT BACK INTO THE STORE THE CAR STARTED. WHEN I PARKED AGAIN 10 MINUTES LATER THE CHECK ENGINE AND CHARGE LIGHT DISAPPEARED. CAR RAN FINE FOR ONE DAY. ABOUT 33 HOURS AFTER THAT INCIDENT I PARKED THE CAR AT A PARK FOR LUNCH FROM WORK. TOOK A WALK AND WHEN I RETURNED CAR NEVER CAME ON. DASH WAS FLICKERING, ALL LIGHTS ILLUMINATED, MILEAGE WAS FLASHING, GAUGES WERE FLICKERING, CAR WOULD NOT TURN OVER. ACTED AS IF BATTERY WAS DEAD. HAD TO WALK BACK TO WORK AND HAVE CAR TOWED BY AAA AFTER WORK. CAR HAS BEEN SITTING FOR 4 DAYS AND WILL NOT TURN ON. NEW MESSAGES CAME UP: CHECK ELECTRIC BRAKING SYSTEM, CHECK AIR BAGS, SERVICE TIRE PRESSURE SYSTEM AND CHECK ANTI LOCK BRAKES SYSTEM. THE TIRE LIGHT IS ON ME BECAUSE A SENSOR IN THE PASSENGER TIRE BROKE WHEN I GOT A FLAT HITTING A CURB WHILE PARKING. I REPLACED THE TIRE BUT NOT THE SENSOR. ALSO NOW THE UCONNECT AND RADIO NOT COMING ON AND BATTERY LIGHT COMES ON, AND WHEN I MADE ATTEMPT TO START A MESSAGE CAME UP STATING ENGINE WARMING UP??? THAT WAS WEIRD. THIS ALL HAPPENED ALL OF A SUDDEN WITHIN A TWO DAY SPAN. NOW I AM STUCK PAYING FOR A CAR I CANT DRIVE THAT IS GOING CRAZY ELECTRONICALLY.
THE VEHICLE IS"STUCK IN NEUTRAL". THE SHIFTER MOVES FREELY BUT VEHICLE WILL NOT LEAVE NEUTRAL.
THE TRANSMISSION SHIFT CABLE AND WAS NOT ABLE TO DRIVE CAR OR SHIFTGEAR
DRIVING ON THE OPEN ROAD THE CAR LOOSES POWER, CAN'T STEER CAN'T ACCELERATE. VERY DANGEROUS WHEN TRAVELING AT 70 MPH EVEN AT 35 THRU THE CITY. I HAVE NOTICED ONLINE OF ALL THE COMPLAINTS AND DODGE JUST SAYS I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO TELL YOU. THIS NEEDS TO BE FIXED AS SOME ONE WILL DIE DRIVING THESE CARS IN THIS CONDITION!! READ WERE NUMEROUS PEOPLE HAVE BEEN INVOLVED IN ACCIDENTS BECAUSE OF THIS. HAPPENS MORE WHEN TURNING IN MY CASE.
THE HEADLIGHTS HAVE BEEN INTERMITTENT SINCE I PURCHASED THE CAR, I ENDED UP HAVING TO HAVE BOTH BALLASTS AND BULBS REPLACED, STILL EXPERIENCING THIS ISSUE INTERMITTENTLY. IT IS NOT SOMETHING THAT IS A RECALL OR COVERED UNDER ANY WARRANTY PAST 40,000 THIS CAR HAS 50,000 AND I'M ALREADY GOING TO HAVE A COMPUTER MODULE REPLACED AS IT CONTROLS THE HEADLIGHTS THIS WILL NOT BE A CHEAP REPAIR. THIS SHOULD BE A RECALL AS MANY DART OWNERS ARE EXPERIENCING THIS ISSUE. THE FOG LIGHTS ARE THE ONLY FORWARD FACING LIGHTS I HAVE THAT WORK AT TIMES, STATIONARY OR MOVING, OTHER TIMES IT'S ONE OR THE OTHER,
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 DODGE DART. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE STALLED PERIODICALLY WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS WITHOUT WARNING. THE CONTACT PULLED OVER, RESTARTED THE VEHICLE, AND IT RESUMED NORMAL OPERATION. RECENTLY, WHILE ATTEMPTING TO PLACE THE VEHICLE INTO PARK, IT CONTINUED TO MOVE WITHOUT WARNING AS IF IT WERE IN NEUTRAL. THE CONTACT HAD TO APPLY THE EMERGENCY BRAKE TO STOP THE VEHICLE. THE KEY WOULD NOT EJECT FROM THE IGNITION BECAUSE THE ENGINE WAS STILL IN NEUTRAL; HOWEVER, THE CONTACT WAS ULTIMATELY ABLE TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE HOME. THE VEHICLE WAS INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 19V293000 (POWER TRAIN), BUT THE CONTACT WAS UNAWARE OF THIS PRIOR TO THE FAILURE. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT NOTIFIED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.
THE CAR JUST WILL RANDOMLY STALL. NO INDICATION IT IS GOING TO DO THIS. THIS CAR IS UNSAFE. I AM TO THE POINT I HATE DRIVING IT. I TOOK IT TO SHOP AND EVERYONE SAYS NOTHING IS WRONG WITH IT. THIS HAS HAPPENED MULTIPLE TIMES. I HAVE ONLY OWNED THE CAR SINCE 5/19
THE PROBLEM WITH THE VEHICLE IS THAT THE CLUTCH PEDAL GOES STRAIGHT TO THE FLOOR AND STAYS THERE, THE ONLY WAY TO GET IT TO THE UP POSITION IS TO REACH DOWN OR USE YOUR FOOT. THE MASTER CYLINDER OF THE BRAKE SYSTEM WAS BELOW THE MINIMUM LINE. NO BRAKE WARNING LIGHT OR ANY OTHER WARNING/CAUTION. THE CLUTCH WENT TO THE FLOOR. THE INCIDENT HAPPENED I WAS ON A 7 LANE CITY STREET DURING RUSH HOUR TRAFFIC I WAS DRIVING AND EVERYTHING WAS NORMAL. I WAS THE FIRST VEHICLE IN LINE WHEN I TRY TO START GOING THE CLUTCH FELT LIKE IT WAS SLIPPING IN FIRST GEAR WHICH IS HIGHLY UNUSUAL FOR MY VEHICLE BECAUSE FIRST GEAR HAS ALWAYS BEEN VERY TOUCHY.. SHIFT TO SECOND GEAR IN THE CLUTCH ONCE AGAIN WAS SLIPPING AND THE ENGINE REVED THE VEHICLE DID NOT ACCELERATE PROPERLY. I WAS ABLE TO GET IT TO GO AND I MADE IT TO THE NEXT TRAFFIC LIGHT. I WAS THE SECOND CAR FROM THE INTERSECTION. WHEN THE LIGHT TURNED GREEN I RELEASED THE CLUTCH AND THE GEAR ENGAGED IMEADIATLY WITH THE GEAR IN FIRST, THE VEHICLE LURCHED FORWARD AND KEPT DOING THAT ABOUT THREE TIMES UNTIL THE VEHICLE STALLED OUT. PUSHING IN THE CLUTCH PEDAL DID NOTHING IT'S STAY STUCK TO THE FLOOR. IN THE MIRROR I SEE THAT THE VEHICLE BEHIND ME ALMOST RAN INTO ME AND ALMOST CAUSED A HUGE PILE UP BEHIND ME BECAUSE OF THE HESITATION OF MY VEHICLE I WAS NOT ABLE TO MOVE THE VEHICLE OUT OF THE LANE WITHOUT HELP FROM A FELLOW CITIZEN THAT WAS DANGEROUS IN ITSELF. ONCE I GOT THE VEHICLE TO A SAFE PLACE PUSHING IT I CHECKED UNDER THE HOOD AND I SEE THAT THE BRAKE FLUID RESERVOIR ON THE MASTER CYLINDER WAS EMPTY. I CHECK THE FLUIDS IN MY VEHICLE AT LEAST TWICE A WEEK . WHERE DID ALL THAT FLUID GO? I HAVE BEEN WITHOUT MY VEHICLE FOR A WEEK OR TWO NOW DUE TO TRYING TO FIGURE OUT WHAT TO DO BECAUSE THE CAR HAS 40, 000 MILES ON IT SO ITS OUT OF WARRANTY.
PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE IN LATE JANUARY AND APPROX 6 MONTHS LATER WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY THE MOTOR WILL RANDOMLY STALL. THESE ARE INTERMITTENT EVENTS.

CAR RANDOMLY SHUTS OFF WHILE DRIVING. WITH NO WARNING, UNSAFE AND COULD CAUSE ACCIDENTS.
TRANSMISSION RANGE SENSOR CIRCUT PRNDL INPUT MALFUNCTION
IN MOTION - ON I-75 EXPRESSWAY, ENTRANCE RAMP MERGE. COULD HAVE BEEN LIFE THREATENING OR FATAL TO STALL WHILE MERGING ONTO EXTREMELY BUSY EXPRESSWAY. WHEN DRIVING THE VEHICLE IT WILL STALL AT DIFFERENT TIMES, NO WARNING, NO WARNING LIGHTS, ETC.. VERY DANGEROUS. GRANDDAUGHTER WAS ENTERING THE EXPRESSWAY AND JUST AS SHE WAS MERGING THE CAR STALLED. SHE WAS STILL ROLLING AND SWERVED OFF THE EXPRESSWAY ONTO THE EMERGENCY STRIP AND THEN GRASSY AREA. SHE BARELY AVOIDED A SEMI SIDESWIPE/COLLISION. BEFORE TAKING CAR TO DEALERSHIP, WAS TOLD OVER THE PHONE IT COULD BE CAUSED BY A DROP IN OIL PRESSURE. THAT IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS. THEY WANTED TO JUST DO AN OIL CHANGE TO SEE IF THAT CORRECTED THE PROBLEM, BUT I INSISTED THE CHECK FUEL PROPULSION, BECAUSE IT SEEMED LIKE FUEL PUMP/INJECTORS OR FUEL LINE WAS CAUSING PROBLEM. COME TO FIND OUT IT HAS A FAULTY THROTTLE BODY. WE JUST BOUGHT THIS CAR IN APRIL 2018 AND IT ONLY HAS ABOUT 40,000 MILES ON IT. WITH ALL THE COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS SAME TYPE OF ISSUE, SHOULD THE THROTTLE BODY BE CHECKED FOR PROBLEMS AND POSSIBLE RECALL??? I SPENT 3 HOURS ON THE SIDE OF THIS EXPRESSWAY WAITING FOR A TOW BECAUSE THE CAR WAS NOT DRIVEABLE.
MY TRANSMISSION PLACES ITSELF INTO NEUTRAL. BUT IT IS NOT UNDER A RECALL EVEN THOUGH IT FITS THE CATEGORY
I PURCHASED MY 2015 DART NEW FROM THE DEALERSHIP. SINCE 7/2017, THE CAR HAS STALLED OUT IN THE MIDDLE OF DRIVING AND LEFT ME STRANDED ON 3 SEPARATE INSTANCES. THE BATTERY LIGHT COMES UP ON THE DASH AFTER THE CAR STALLS OUT BUT THERE IS NO WARNING BEFORE THAT. THE CAR DOES NOT RESTART AND HAS TO BE LEFT FOR 5-10 MINUTES BEFORE IT WILL TURN OVER. EVEN THEN YOU CAN ONLY DRIVE IT UNTIL YOU PUSH THE BRAKE AGAIN AND IT STALLS OUT. THE DEALERSHIP INSISTS THAT THIS IS NORMAL FOR THE DART AND THAT IT BURNS MORE OIL THAN OTHER VEHICLES. EVERY TIME THIS OCCURS, THERE IS NOT A DROP OF OIL IN THE CAR. WHEN IT HAPPENED TODAY, THERE ARE LESS THAN 5,000 MILES ON THE CAR SINCE THE LAST OIL CHANGE AND IT HAS BEEN LESS THAN 3 MONTHS SINCE THE LAST OIL CHANGE. THE LAST TWO TIMES THIS HAS HAPPENED, I HAVE NEARLY GOTTEN HIT BECAUSE THE ENGINE JUST SHUTS DOWN WITHOUT WARNING.
WHEN I GO TO PUT THE CAR IN PARK TO TURN IT OFF TO GET OUT OF IT, IT TELLS ME IT ISN'T IN PARK SO I HAVE TO PUT IT BACK IN DRIVE AND SLAM THE SHIFTER AS HARD AS I CAN INTO PARK TO MAKE IT GO INTO PARK AND UNLESS THE CAR IS IN PARK IT WON'T SHUT OFF. THIS HAS HAPPENED A FEW DIFFERENT TIMES TO ME.
THE PLASTIC BUSHING THAT CONNECTS THE SHIFT LINKAGE TO TRANSMISSION COMPLETELY CRUMBLED CAUSING CAR TO NOT SHIFT AT ALL. CAR ONLY HAS 57000 MILES. THIS IN TURN CAUSED CHECK ENGINE LIGHT TO COME ON AND READ CODE FOR THE TCM (TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE) WHICH IN TURN CAUSED THE CAR TO RUN IN LIMP MODE FOR THE DAYS. MAJOR LOSS OF POWER! AFTER THREE DAYS CODE FINALLY CLEARED. THIS ALL HAPPENED WHILE CAR WAS BEING DRIVEN AT A LUCKILY SLOW SPEED IN A RESIDENTIAL NEIGHBORHOOD.
I PURCHASED A 2015 DODGE DART 3/19/18 FROM A DEALERSHIP. I JUST HAD THE OIL CHANGE DONE WHICH WAS RECOMMENDED. THE CAR JUST RECENTLY STARTED TO STALL WHILE DRIVING. NO WARNING LIGHTS WENT ON. WE CHECKED THE BATTERY (WHICH WAS A YEAR OLD) AND THE ALTERNATOR AND THEY WERE FINE. I WENT TO AUTO ZONE TO CHECK IT OUT. I CALLED THE DEALERSHIP I BOUGHT IT AT AND THEY SAID IT COULD BE A NUMBER OF THINGS. NEVER DID THEY MENTION THE OIL BEING THE ISSUE. I GET A CALL FROM THE DEALERSHIP THAT THE BECAUSE THE OIL WAS LOW THE CAR WILL STALE TO PROTECT THE ENGINE. FIRST OF ALL, IT'S A SAFETY HAZARD IF THIS CAN RANDOMLY STALL, AND SECOND NO LIGHTS CAME ON FOR THE WARNING. THE CARS METERS SHOWED THAT THE OIL QUALITY WAS AT 85% AND GOOD. THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS. I CHECKED THE OWNERS MANUAL AND THERE IS NOTHING THAT PERTAINS TO THIS CAR STALLING.
MAJOR SAFETY CONCERN - SHOULD BE RECALLED!!! BRAKES QUIT WORKING PROPERLY; SOUNDS LIKE AIR WHEN PUSH DOWN ON BRAKES....WILL HARDLY SLOW DOWN AND BRAKE PEDAL TRY'S TO PUSH BACK UP WHILE HOLDING IT DOWN. RECALL THIS DODGE - YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED.
I WAS ON MY WAY TO WORK AND WHEN I CAME TO A STOP SIGN AND TRIED TO STOP BUT MUNCH BRAKES DIDN'T WANT TO WORK. IT SOUNDED LIKE AIR WAS COMING OUT WHEN I PUSHED BRAKE PEDAL AND THEN THE PEDAL WAS HARD TO PUSH DOWN AND TRIED TO COME BACK UP WHILE I WAS HOLDING IT DOWN. I'M AT A MECHANICS AND HE THINKS IT THE BRAKE BOOSTER. HE THOUGHT THERE WAS A RECALL ON IT SO I CALLED THE DODGE PLACE IN DOTHAN AL AND THEY SAID THERE WAS NO RECALL FOR MY CAR. I COULD HAVE BEEN IN AN ACCIDENT AND HAD TO DRIVE SLOW ALL THE WAY HERE. NOW I HAVE NO WAY TO GO TO WORK OR HOME CAUSE MY BRAKES ARE NOT WORKING CORRECTLY. NOW I'M WAITING TO HAVE I TO FIXED. DODGE SAID IT WOULD BE AROUND $450 OR MORE TO FIX

THE TRUNK GOES CRAZY POPPING OPEN OVER AND OVER AND THE ONLY WAY TO CLOSE IT AND TO KEEP IT SHUT IS TO HAVE YOUR CAR IN DRIVE OR REVERSE WITH THE EMERGENCY BRAKE SET WHICH IS NOT SAFE AT ALL ESPECIALLY WITH CHILDREN IN THE CAR!

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO LARRY ROESCH CHRYSLER, DODGE, JEEP, RAM (200 WEST GRAND AVENUE, ELMHURST, IL 60126, 630-834-8000) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE ENGINE OIL WAS LOW. THE DEALER STATED THAT THE ENGINE OIL MIGHT BE RELEASING THROUGH THE EXHAUST SYSTEM AND THAT THE 2.4 LITER ENGINE WAS KNOWN TO BE FAULTY. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT WAS CONCERNED THAT THE ENGINE MAY STALL IN TRAFFIC ON THE HIGHWAY. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 43,600.
CAR SUDDENLY WENT INTO NEUTRAL , WHILE IN PARKING LOT GOING 10 MPH. , SHIFTER COULD NOT MOVE IT , KEY CANNOT BE REMOVED

WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 55 MPH, THE REAR PASSENGER SIDE TIRE BLEW OUT AND SHREDDED INTO PIECES. ALSO, THE FRONT DRIVER'S SIDE TIRE LOST AIR PRESSURE. THE VEHICLE CRASHED INTO A GUARD RAIL. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE PASSENGER SUSTAINED INJURIES THAT REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. A POLICE REPORT WAS NOT FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC. THE DEALER WAS NOT CALLED. THE VEHICLE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE TIRE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE TIRE FAILURES AND STATED THAT SOMEONE WOULD CALL THE CONTACT BACK. THE CONTACT WAS NOT CALLED BACK. THE FAILED TIRES WERE NOT THE ORIGINAL TIRES. THE FAILURE MILEAGE OF THE VEHICLE WAS 41,803 AND THE FAILURE MILEAGE OF THE TIRES WAS APPROXIMATELY 1,000.

THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE LOCAL DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 45,400.
JUST NOTICED THAT THE YOKOHAMA 225/40 R18 AVID S34 TIRES ON MY 2015 DODGE DART HAVE SPLIT SIDE WALLS. I BOUGHT THE CAR NEW. IT HAS APPROXIMATELY 18,000 MILES. I HAD THE CAR IN THREE TIMES FOR THE TIRES LOOSING AIR. I'VE READ THAT YOKOHAMA HAVE BEEN HAVING PROBLEMS ON THIS MODEL TIRE FOR YEARS WITH MANY DIFFERENT SIZES BUT HAVE ONLY RECALLED ONE SIZE. I'M TAKING THE CAR TO THE DEALER 05-02.
RIGHT REAR CALIPER BEGAN TO STAY ENGAGED AS I WAS DRIVING, AFTER IT COOLED IT STOPPED UNTIL I DROVE AGAIN, IT BECAME SO BAD THAT IT BURNED MY ROTOR AND COOKED ALL OF THE GREASE IN THE SLEEVES. REPLACED THE ROTOR, PADS AND REGREASED THE SLEEVES, I STILL HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM.

ALSO, AN ABNORMAL GRINDING NOISE WAS HEARD AND THE CHECK ENGINE AND TPMS WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC, BUT THEY WERE UNABLE TO DUPLICATE THE FAILURES. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT CONTACTED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 60,000.
THERE SEEMS TO BE ISSUE WITH DODGE, CHRYSLER VEHICLES WHERE CAR SHUTS OFF WHILE DRIVING. THIS HAS HAPPENED WITH MY DAD CHRYSLER 300, MY MOM DODGE DURANGO AND NOW MY DODGE DART AND IT APPEARS IT IS THE ALTERNATOR KILLING THE BATTERY. IT IS DANGEROUS TO PUT MY CAR ON THE ROAD AS IT CAN SHUT OFF ANY GIVEN TIME AND NO ONE CAN SEEM TO FIGURE OUT THE ISSUE.
OUR 2015 DODGE DART HAS ONLY 18,700 MILES ON IT AND TWICE IN THE LAST 10 MONTHS WHILE DRIVING ON A FREEWAY, THE CLUTCH PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED IN ORDER TO SHIFT GEARS AND THE PEDAL STUCK TO THE FLOOR. THE FIRST TIME THIS HAPPENED IN AUGUST 2017, THE MASTER CYLINDER WAS REPLACED AT NO COST TO US. IT JUST HAPPENED AGAIN ON APRIL 28, 2018, SAME SCENARIO - DRIVING ON FREEWAY, TRIED TO SHIFT - AND WE ARE TOLD THE CLUTCH KIT AND THROW OUT BEARING NEEDS TO BE REPLACED AND DODGE IS REFUSING TO PAY FOR IT, SAYING IT IS NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR AND NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY. AND BECAUSE IT IS DIFFERENT PARTS IT IS NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY OF WORK IN AUGUST 2017. I HAVE SEEN MANY COMPLAINTS OF SIMILAR ISSUES AND EVEN A COUPLE OF LAWSUITS. EVEN IF REPAIRED AGAIN, I AM VERY CONCERNED THAT THIS COULD HAPPEN AGAIN AND AM NOT COMFORTABLE DRIVING THIS CAR OUTSIDE OF CITY STREETS. DODGE REFUSES TO ACKNOWLEDGE THIS IS A KNOWN ISSUE NOR DO THEY SAY THAT MY CAR IS COVERED UNDER AN EXTENDED WARRANTY ON THE HYDRAULIC CLUTCH THAT THEY ISSUED IN 2016.
I HAD JUST CAME HOME AND RAN INTO MY HOUSE TO GRAB SOMETHING AND IMMEDIATELY RETURNED BACK TO THE CAR AND WHEN I STARTED THE ENGINE AND ATTEMPTED TO PUT MY CAR INTO DRIVE THE LIGHT ON THE GEAR SHIFT FOR NEUTRAL LIT UP. THE CAR IS NOW STUCK IN NEUTRAL AND THE KEY WILL NOT COME OUT OF THE IGNITION DUE TO IT BEING IN NEUTRAL. WE HAVE CALLED SEVERAL NUMBERS FOR DODGE AND THEY ARE TELLING US THAT THE CAR IS NOT QUALIFY FOR THE RECALL BECAUSE THE VIN IS NOT SHOWING UP WITH A RECALL EVEN THOUGH THE SIGHT SHOWS THAT THERE IS A RECALL FOR THE EXACT ISSUE FOR 2011 - 2015 DODGE DARTS. WE NEED ASSISTANCE WITH THIS BECAUSE IF THEY KNOW THESE CARS HAVE THIS ISSUE THERE IS NO WAY THEY SHOULD BE TELLING US THAT THIS CAR DOES NOT QUALIFY FOR THE RECALL. PLEASE HELP.

MY DODGE DART HAS BEEN HAVING ISSUES FOR A COUPLE WEEKS. IT WILL START JERKING LIKE YOU'RE DRIVING A STANDARD AND DON'T KNOW HOW TO DRIVE IT. THE ABS LIGHT, TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT, CHECK ENGINE LIGHT AND A COUPLE OTHER LIGHTS WILL ALL COME ON. WHEN IT DOES THIS THERE ARE TIMES THAT YOU CAN PRESS THE HAD PEDAL ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR AND IT DOES NOTHING. THEN THE CAR STARTED SAYING TO CHECK THE TRANSMISSION AND WHEN YOU SHIFTED INTO CERTAIN GEARS IT WOULD SAY THE GEAR WAS UNAVAILABLE AND YOU NEED TO SHIFT TO DRIVE OR REVERSE. AFTER TROUBLESHOOTING I FOUND THAT MY FUSE BOX, NEXT TO MY BATTERY, LOOKS LIKE SEVERAL OF THE FUSES HAVE CAUGHT ON FIRE. I DON'T KNOW HOW THE CAR HASN'T GONE UP IN FLAMES. AREN'T FUSES SUPPOSED TO BREAK WHEN SOMETHING LIKE THIS HASTENS
ENGINE SHUTDOWN WHILE DRIVING. APPEARS TO BE SENSOR DETECTING LOW OIL AND RATHER THAN TRIGGERING THE MIL OR A LOW OIL INDICATOR, IT SHUTS THE ENGINE DOWN. HAPPENED TO MY WIFE WHILE SHE WAS DRIVING ON A HIGHWAY. ENGINE POWER LOSS, AND ALSO LOSS OF POWER STEERING AND BRAKING. ALL DASH LIGHTS CAME ON, RADIO CONTINUED PLAYING, AND LIGHTS KEPT WORKING SO IT WASN'T A COMPLETE ELECTRICAL POWER LOSS BUT A CONTROLLED ENGINE SHUTDOWN.
WHEN I DRIVE AND BRAKE THE CAR CUTS OFF AND THE STEERING WHEEL LOCKS AND ITS HARD TO START BACK UP IM IN THE MIDDLE OF THE STREET
UPON DRIVING A FEW MONTHS AFTER GETTING THIS VEHICLE I NOTICED IT WAS BURNING OIL RATHER FLUENTLY. WHEN TURNING CORNERS WHILE DRIVING IT WOULD SHUT OF AND I'D HAVE TO WAIT ABOUT TEN MINUTES AND IT WITHHOLD TURN ON LIKE NOTHING HAPPENED. AFTER ADDING MORE OIL IT WOULD OPERATE A BIT BETTER. THEN THE THROTTLE SYSTEM KICKED OUT. I WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY AND BEGAN TO LOSE SPEED. I PULLED OVER FOR SAFETY AND TURNED THE CAR OFF. AFTER RESTARTING IT I LEARNED THE THROTTLE BODY SYSTEM WAS BAD. I INITIALLY DIDN'T KNOW WHAT IT WAS UNTIL AFTER RESEARCHING THE VEHICLE AND IT'S FUNCTIONS...I CANNOT GET SPEED GOING UP HILL AND CANNOT REACH DOES IF MORE THAN 40-45MPH.

THE CONTACT COASTED THE VEHICLE TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND NOTICED THAT IT WAS OUT OF OIL. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER OR INDEPENDENT MECHANIC TO DETERMINE THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURES. SO I LEAVE AND A DAY LATER THE ENGINE LIGHT IS GONE LIKE IT WAS NEVER THERE. AND HERE IT IS 2018 AND THE [XXX] ENGINE LIGHT IS BACK ON AGAIN. I TAKE IT TO FIRESTONE ON BASE AND GUESS WHAT THE [XXX] THEY TELL ME?! YOU GUESSED RIGHT! THE [XXX] THERMOSTAT. AT THIS POINT I'M JUST PISSED AND FRUSTRATED AND THEY TELL ME I'M LOOKING AT A $500 FIX AND THAT THIS IS A COMMON ISSUE WITH THE DODGE DART! WHY WAS I NOT TOLD THIS WHEN THE CAR WAS PURCHASED! I WAS TRYING TO PULL OUT OF AN PARKING SPACE THAT WAS ANGLED UP AND WHILE DOING THAT I NOTICED THAT THE BRAKES DID NOT WORK. IT HAD BEEN PARKED FOR 30 MINUTES. ALL I COULD HEAR WHEN PRESSING ON THE BRAKES WAS AIR. IT WOULD NOT WORK UNLESS PUTTING EXTREME PRESSURE ON IT.

IN ADDITION, THERE WAS A DRASTIC LOSS OF POWER AND SPEED DUE TO THE TRANSMISSION ASSEMBLY. THERE WAS NO MENTION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBERS: 15V542000 (POWER TRAIN) OR 16V113000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM). THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURES. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
I GOT INTO A CAR ACCIDENT IN THE CITY OF SIMI VALLEY, CA. BETWEEN FIRST ST. AND ARCANE ST. GOING HOME ON SUNDAY 2/25/2018 AND THE AIR BAG NEVER CAME OUT AND I ENDED IT P WITH A SWOLLEN LIPS AND NECK/BACK PAIN DUE TO THE IMPACT RECEIVED AT THE TIME OF ME HITTING THE STEERING WHEEL AS I DID NOT HAD ANY PROTECTION. AT THE PREVIOUSLY MENTIONED THE STOP LIGHT WAS RED AND THERE WAS AN SUV IN FROM OF ME AND MYSELF WAITING FOR THE STOP LIGHT TO TURN GREEN WHEN THE ONLY THING I FELT WAS THE IMPACT FULL SPEED FROM BEHIND THAT ME BEEN THE MIDDLE CAR END IT UP HITTING THE CAR IN FROM OF ME. THE TRUNK POPS OPENS WITHOUT WARNING. THREE TIMES NOW MY TRUNK HAS OPENED WHEN DRIVING DOWN THE FREEWAY. THERE ARE NO WARNING LIGHTS, I SUDDENLY HAVE NO REAR VISION. THE GLASSES CASE (BETWEEN THE TWO FRONT SEATS OVER THE WINDSHIELD) HAS OPENED WITHOUT WARNING AND DROPPED A PAIR OF SUN GLASSES ONTO ME WHILE I WAS DRIVING. IT STARTLED AND DISTRACTED ME. I HAVE REPORTED THIS THE DEALER WHO CAN "FIND NOTHING" WRONG. HEGGS AUTO WHICH WAS SUPERSTITION SPRINGS AUTO, SOLD IT TO ME. 480-293-0219 THE CAR HAS A MYRIAD OF "OTHER ISSUES" THAT ARE NOT NECESSARILY SAFETY RELATED BUT PARTS ARE FAILING WELL BEFORE THEY SHOULD.
DRIVING CAR AT 25 MPH AND IT STALLED WITHOUT WARNING AND WITHOUT ANY CLEAR INDICATION WHAT THE PROBLEM WAS. AFTER 10 MINUTES THE CAR STARTED AND WAS DRIVEN HOME. A SIMPLE GOOGLE SEARCH REVEALED LOW OIL COULD BE THE PROBLEM. OIL WAS CHECKED AND NOTED THAT IT WAS VERY LOW; THERE HAD BEEN NO INDICATION THAT THE CAR HAD LOW OIL. WE CALLED THE DEALER TO SET UP AN OIL CHANGE APPOINTMENT AND DESCRIBE THE STALLING PROBLEM AND THEY SAID "YOU MUST HAVE A DART", LIKE IT IS A COMMON PROBLEM. IT IS A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION TO SHUT OFF THE ENGINE WITHOUT WARNING. CAR HAS APPROXIMATELY 40,000 MILES...... WEREN'T LOW OIL INDICATORS INVENTED IN THE 70'S?
CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND WENT AND HAD IT READ. SAID IT WAS LOW ON COOLANT, PUT COOLANT IN AFTER CAR WAS NOT HOT AND LIGHT CONTINUED TO STAY ON AND ALL READ UP THE SAME, LOW COOLANT, BUT IT WASN'T. APPARENTLY IT WAS THE THERMOSTAT. WHY IS THERE NOT A RECALL ON THESE FAULTY THINGS? I HAVE SEEN MORE PEOPLE REPORTING PROBLEMS FOR THESE AND THERE IS STILL NO RECALL!!! I WILL NEVER OWN ANYTHING CHRYSLER MADE AGAIN, THEY NEVER STAND BEHIND THEIR MISTAKES, BUT EXPECT THE OWNERS OF THE VEHICLES TO PAY A RIDICULOUS AMOUNT OF MONEY TO HAVE THE VEHICLE FIXED.
WHETHER I AM DRIVING MY CAR ON THE FREEWAY AND STOPPED W/TRAFFIC OR ON A CITY STREET AT STOP LIGHT/SIGN AND MY FOOT IS ON THE BREAK, THE CAR HAS A TENDENCY TO TAKE OFF ON ITS OWN. I DID TAKE IT TO A MECHANIC TODAY 1/15/18 WHO PUT IT ON DIAGNOSTIC MACHINE AND A PROBLEM WAS DETECTED WITH CODE P2122 THROTTLE/POSITION SENSOR/SWITCH"D" CIRCUIT LOW INPUT. MECHANIC SAID I SHOULD CHECK FOR ANY SAFETY RECALLS.
