WHEN TURNING THE STEERING WHEEL RIGHT OR LEFT WHILE TRYING TO PARK IT MAKES A WHINING NOISE
MY VEHICLE RANDOMLY SHUTS OFF. LOSES ALL ENGINE POWER, POWER STEERING, ETC. HAS BEEN AT THE DEALER 3 DIFFERENT TIMES AND NO ONE CAN FIND THE PROBLEM. ONCE WE WERE STOPPED AT A LIGHT, 2 TIMES WE WERE PULLING OUT OF PARKING SPOTS, AND THIS LAST TIME MY VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION ON THE STREET AND THE ENGINE SHUT OFF.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE ISSUE. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. PARTS DISTRIBUTION DISCONNECT.
DRIVING UP LOMBARD STREET IN SAN FRANCISCO, WHEN I STEP ON BRAKES ON STOPS WHILE UPHILL, THEN STEP ON GAS TO DRIVE AGAIN, THE VEHICLE'S TIRES SPINS (NOT CATCHING) THEN VEHICLE WOULD DROP BACKWARDS 2 TO 5 FEET. THIS IS A VERY BUSY STREET BECAUSE IT IS A TOURIST ATTRACTION, BUT OTHER CARS ARE STAYING AWAY FROM THE JOURNEY BECAUSE IT KEEPS FALLING BACK. THIS HAPPENED IN MARCH 2017. TOOK IT TO DEALERSHIP, THEY CANT FIND ANY PROBLEM, SAID THAT IT IS JOURNEY'S DESIGN TO SAVE FUEL. DIDN'T USE JOURNEY IN SF AGAIN, FOR MY SAFETY AND OTHERS. JUST WANTED TO KNOW IF THIS IS REALLY TRUE, THAT THIS IS THEIR DESIGN AND YOU ARE AWARE OF THIS HAPPENING. (NOT SURE OF SPECIFIC DATE BUT MARCH, 2017)

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 DODGE JOURNEY. WHILE DRIVING HIGH SPEEDS, THE HEADLIGHTS FLICKERED WITHOUT WARNING. THE DEALER WAS UNABLE TO DUPLICATE THE FAILURE. WHILE ACCELERATING FROM A STOP SIGN, THE HEADLIGHTS FLICKERED AND THE VEHICLE FAILED TO MOVE. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED WITH A FAULTY SEAL, AND THE TRANSMISSION WAS REBUILT. THE HEADLIGHT ISSUE CONTINUED TO OCCUR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 600.

THE VEHICLE LOST ALL POWER AND WAS TOWED TO A DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE CAM POSITION SENSOR NEEDED TO BE REPLACED, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 2,000.
I LOOSE CONTROL OF THE WINDOWS MOST OF THE TIME. I HAD THE MAIN WINDOW CONTROL SWITCH REPLACED, AND THE PROBLEM STILL DID NOT GO AWAY, PLEASE HELP.
Headlights keep flickering while driving and park on high beams and low beams
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 DODGE JOURNEY. OCCASIONALLY, WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 45-70 MPH, THE VEHICLE DECELERATED INDEPENDENTLY AND THEN STALLED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO TOWBIN DODGE LLC (275 AUTO MALL DR, HENDERSON, NV 89014, (702) 558-3800) TO BE DIAGNOSED, BUT THE MECHANIC WAS UNABLE TO VERIFY THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 16V907000 (ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING). THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED PER THE RECALL; HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FAILURE WAS INTERMITTENT. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 30. *TT THE CONSUMER STATED THE VEHICLE BEGAN TRYING TO STALL OUT THEN TURNED OFF WHILE DRIVING. AT TIME THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT START. *JS
HAD ABOUT 20,000 MI ON THE ODOMETER AND BRAKES START TO PULSATE VERY BAD, CAUSING LOTS OF VIBRATION IN THE STEERING WHEEL. HAD DEALER CHECK BRAKES AND SHOWED LITTLE SIGNS OF WEAR ON THE PADS. THIS CONTINUED TILL I FINALLY HAD THE BRAKES AND ROTORS REPLACED WITH AFTERMARKET VENTILATED ROTORS AND NEW BRAKE PADS. AFTER ONLY 200 MILES, VEHICLE IS AGAIN VIBRATING VERY BAD ON HARD BRAKING AND STEEP INCLINES. GOING TO HAVE DEALER CHECK THE CALIBERS ON THE FRONT TO SEE IF ONE IS STICKING, WHERE BRAKES WERE CHANGED. NEVER HAD THIS OCCUR IN ANY OTHER VEHICLE WHERE THE PULSATING RETURNED AFTER REPLACING BRAKES AND ROTORS.
WHEN I FIRST START THE VEHICLE IT MAKES A LOUD WHINE NOISE FOR ABOUT 2 TO 5 MIN. THEN SEEMS TO GO AWAY. IF THE VEHICLE SITS FOR 3 TO 4 HOURS IT WILL DO THE SAME NOISE AGAIN. DEALER TOLD ME THAT ALL THE SIX CYLINDERS MAKE THAT NOISE AND IT'S NORMAL. HAVE NEVER OWNED A VEHICLE THAT MAKES A WHINE NOISE WHERE SOMETHING WASN'T WRONG ESPECIALLY AT AROUND 6000 MILES ON THE VEHICLE. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 DODGE JOURNEY. WHILE APPROACHING A STOP LIGHT ,THE STEERING COLUMN LOCKED WITHOUT WARNING. IN ADDITION, THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL WAS APPLIED AND FAILED TO ACCELERATE. THE CONTACT HAD TO TURN THE VEHICLE OFF TO RESET THE COMPUTER. THE DEALER TEST DROVE THE VEHICLE, BUT COULD NOT DUPLICATE THE FAILURE. THE DEALER CLEARED A CODE CONCERNING THE POWER TRAIN CONTROL MODULE AND PROVIDED NO REPAIR SOLUTION. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 6,000.
THIS VEHICLE WAS SOLD TO ME BY CENTRAL FLORIDA CHRYSLER JEEP DODGE, 8675 COMMODITY CIRCLE, ORLANDO, FL 32819 WITH AN OPEN RECALL. I PURCHASED AND DROVE THIS VEHICLE HOME ON 8/20/2016. THIS CAR WAS A NEW VEHICLE AND SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN SOLD WITH AN EXISTING RECALL. WHEN I CALLED TO EXPLAIN THE CAR HAD A RECALL, THEY WERE VERY RUDE AND TOLD ME THE RECALL WAS NEW AND THE PART TO CORRECT IT DID NOT EXIST AT THAT TIME.
THE CAR STALLED OUT WITH NO WARNING ON THE HIGHWAY. LUCKILY I WAS GOING SLOW BECAUSE I WAS GOING ON AN OFF RAMP TO GET ONTO THE HIGHWAY. THE CAR SIEZED UP COMPLETELY I HAD NO CONTROL I BARELY WAS ABLE TO LIMP IT INTO A PARKING LOT. I WAS LUCKY. THE CAR RESTARTED WITH NO PROBLEMS AFTER THAT. I TOOK IT TO THE DEALER AND THEY SPENT 3 FULL DAYS DIAGNOSING THE PROBLEM. THEY FOUND NOTHING. I LOOKED ONLINE AND THERE ARE SIMILIAR COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS VEHICLE. AND THE SAME THING IS SAID OVER AND OVER AGAIN.........NOTHING IS KNOWN ABOUT THE PROBLEM THUS NOTHING CAN BE DONE ABOUT THE PROBLEM. MEANWHILE I AM STUCK DRIVING A CAR THAT COULD AT ANY TIME DO THE SAME THING AGAIN. IT IS LIKE PLAYING RUSSIAN ROULETTE. I DO NOT WANT TO DRIVE THIS CAR AGAIN I DO NOT WANT THIS CAR ANYMORE.
WHILE DRIVING MY BRAND NEW DODGE JOURNEY JUST PURCHASED ALMOST 2 MONTHS AGO, THE ENGINE STALLS OUT SUDDENLY WHILE DRIVING. THIS HAS HAPPENED 3 TIMES NOW, WITH THE LAST TIME BEING ON A MAJOR HIGHWAY ALMOST CAUSING A MAJOR ACCIDENT. THE ENGINE SHUTS OFF, STEERING WHEEL AND BRAKES LOCK AND CAR JUST COASTS TO A STOP. AFTER A MINUTE THE CAR CAN BE RESTARTED. NO LIGHTS COME ON TO SIGNIFY A PROBLEM DURING THIS TIME, IT JUST STALLS OUT COMPLETELY CAUSING A MAJOR POTENTIAL FOR AN ACCIDENT. BROUGHT TO THE DEALERSHIP WHO SAYS THEY CAN FIND NOTHING WRONG WITH THE CAR. I HAVE 3 CHILDREN AND THIS HAPPENED WITH 1 IN THE CAR, PUTTING US IN SERIOUS DANGER.
I BOUGHT THIS CAR WITH 11 MILES ON IT . A COUPLE WEEKS AGO I WAS GOING ABOUT 30 MPH AND I STOPPED AT A 4 WAY STOP . I DID A COMPLETE STOP THE ENGINE TURNED OFF THE STEERING WHEEL LOCKED AND I WAS STUCK IN THE INTERSECTION LUCKILY I DIDN'T GET HIT . I HAD TO PUT IT BACK IN PARK AND IT TURNED ON . SCARY SITUATION . TODAY I ATTENPTED TO TURN ON THE IGNITION AND IT JUST TURNED AND TURNED FOR 30 SECONDS AND CAR DIDN'T START. I TURNED IT OFF AND TRIED AGAIN THE CAR STARTED BUT CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS ON STILL DON'T KNOW WHAT'S WRONG WILL TAKE TO DEALER ASAP

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE ELECTRONIC THROTTLE CONTROL WARNING INDICATOR WAS ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO DRIVE TO A NEARBY PARKING LOT. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO CECIL ATKISSION MOTORS (LOCATED AT 2630 E MAIN ST, UVALDE, TX 78801, (830) 278-4124) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE THROTTLE BODY NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 56,237.
I HAD 2016 DODGE JOURNEY BOUGHT FROM SUPERSTITION DODGE IN MESA ARIZONA. THE ENGINE SHUTS OFF BY ITSELF WHILE BRAKING AND ONE TIME WHILE DRIVING. WHEN ENGINE SHUTS OFF THE CAR LOOSES POWER STEERING AND BRAKES. THIS COULD CAUSE FETAL ACCIDENT AND MAY BE DEATH. I CONTACTED DODGE TEMPE ARIZONA. I WENT TO THEM AFTER IT HAPPEN FIRST TIME AND THEY SAID NO ERROR CODE AND IT COULD BE A GLITCH!! THEN WHEN IT HAPPEN FOR SECOND AND THIRD TIME AND I WAS ABOUT TO MAKE AN ACCIDENT, I CONTACTED THEM AGAIN AND CONTACTED DODGE COMPANY. THEY OPEN A CASE # 29588743. AND TEMPE DODGE TOOK AGAIN FOR OVER A WEEK AND THEY WERE NOT ABLE TO FIND THE ROOT CAUSE. THEY WANT TO GIVE ME THE CAR BACK AND I AM AFRAID ABOUT MY FAMILY SAFETY AND PEOPLE AND CARS IN THE STREET. I CONTACTED DODGE AGAIN AND THE CASE MANAGER NAME IS [XXX] . SHE SAID THERE NOTHING SHE CAN DO AND SHE WANTS TO CLOSE THE CASE. THEY DO NOT CARE AND THEY WANT TO GIVE THE CAR BACK TO ME KNOWINGLY THAT THE CAR COULD HAVE AN ACCIDENT AGAIN IF THE ENGINE SHUTS OFF AND THE CAR FAIL TO BRAKE AND STEER. WHAT HAPPEN IS WHEN DRIVING, SOMETIMES "3 TIMES" WHEN BRAKE "2 TIMES" OR WHEN SLOWING WHILE RUNNING "1 TIME" THE ENGINE SHUTS OFF AND THE IGNITION BUTTON STILL SHOWS RUN AND AC IS STILL WORKING ON THE BATTERY. WHEN ENGINE SHUTS OFF NO BRAKES SO CAR KEEPS MOVING AND STEERING IS VERY HARD TO CONTROL BECAUSE OF LOSS OF POWER. IT IS LIFE THREATENING AND COULD CAUSE DEATH TO PEDESTRIANS AND OR PASSENGERS. VEHICLE STALLS RANDOMLY WHILE DECELLERATING, BRAKING, STOPPED OR DRIVING. ALL ELECTRICAL COMPONENTS REMAIN OPERATIONAL (A/C. RADIO, GAUGES, ETC.) BUT BRAKING AND STEERING BECOME DIFFICULT. YOU MUST COME TO A STOP, PARK AND RESTART THE VEHICLE. THIS HAS HAPPENED THREE TIMES NOW, TWICE TO MYSELF AND ONCE TO MY WIFE. TWO DEALERSHIPS HAVE FOUND NO ISSUE SO NOTHING CAN BE DONE. WHEN I MAKE A STOP IN A STREET WITH STOP SIGNS, ITHEN ACCELERATE QUICKLY THE VEHICLE TREMBLES HARD, IS LIKE TURNING ON THE ENGINE AGAIN...I HAVE THE SMALL MOTOR MODEL. HEADLIGHTS FLICKER WHILE DRIVING. HAS BEEN TAKEN IN AT LEAST 3 TIMES DEALERSHIP NOT ABLE TO PINPOINT ISSUE. CAR HAD ALL LIGHTS COME ON IN DASH AND HEADLIGHTS STROBED, THEN CAR LOST ALL POWER WHILE DRIVING, WAS NOT ABLE TO TURN ON HAZARDS AS CAR HAD NO POWER, CAR TOWED TO DEALERSHIP. SCREEN IN CAR RESETS TIME AND ALL SETTINGS. HAS BEEN UPDATED REPEATEDLY AND CONTINUES TO DO SO.
WHILE DRIVING MY 2016 DODGE JOURNEY 12MPH, THE CAR JERKED TO THE LEFT CAUSING ME TO HIT A CEMENT LIGHT POLE. I WAS IN A ROUNDABOUT TURNING TO BRING MY CHILD TO SCHOOL WHEN THIS HAPPENED. NO INJURIES.
THE TRANSMISSION DOESN'T DOWNSHIFT CORRECTLY.
WE WERE DRIVING THROUGH AN INTERSECTION AND THE BACK HATCH BACK OPENED EVEN THOUGH THE VEHICLE LOCKS WERE ENGAGED AND LOCKED SHUT. THE DOOR LOCKS WERE ENGAGED. THERE WAS NO WARNING LIGHT, NO AUDIBLE ALARM-NOT A WARNING OF ANY KIND. AT THAT POINT, WE HAD NOT IDEA THE HATCH BACK WAS OPENED, AND BECAUSE WE WERE ON A SLIGHT INCLINE, A GOLF CLUB FELL OUT OF THE GOLF BAG AND LANDED IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ONTERSECTION. WE REALIZED THE HATCH WAS OPENED AFTER WE PASSED THROUGH THE INTERSECTION ( SAQUARO AND SHEA IN FOUNTAIN HILLS , ARIZONA. MAJOR CONCERN AS THERE WAS NO WARNING OF THE INSTRUMENTATION OF ANY KIND, AND THIS WAS A RENTAL CAR. I BELIEVE IF WE HAD A FULL CARGO PAYLOAD, IT WOULD HAVE DISCHARGED FROM THE REAR CAUSING TRAFFIC IMPEDIMENT AND POSSIBLE CRASHES TO SAY NOTHING OF THE LOSS OF PROPERTY OR IF WE HAD A LIVE ANIMAL , THE LOSS OF THE ANIMAL.
"TAKATA RECALL" ON 4 OR MORE OCCASIONS MY VEHICLE HAS SHUT DOWN WHILE DRIVING. THIS NORMALLY OCCURS WHEN SLOWING DOWN OR AFTER TAPPING THE BRAKE. THE FIRST TIME WAS ABOUT 2 MONTHS AFTER PURCHASING THE VEHICLE AFTER LEAVING WORK AND STOPPING AT A STOP LIGHT. IT HAS DIED WHILE SLOWING DOWN TO TAKE A CURVE AND ALSO ON A BUSY HIGHWAY OUT OF TOWN TAPPING BRAKES IN HEAVY TRAFFIC GOING ABOUT 50MPH AND ALMOST GETTING REAR ENDED. EACH TIME I WOULD HAVE TO COME TO A COMPLETE STOP, PUT IT IN PARK AND RESTART THE VEHICLE.
THE VEHICLE WAS IN AN ACCIDENT ON NOVEMBER 26, 2015. THE STEERING WHEEL WAS SHAKING UNCONTROLLABLY. THIS HAS BEEN AN ISSUE SINCE PURCHASE. THE BRAKING WAS NOT ACCURATE. THE CAR WOULD LOSE STEERING FUNCTIONALITY ALONG WITH BRAKING CAPACITY AND HAS BECOME HAZARDOUS WHILE DRIVING. ON NOVEMBER, 26TH, 2015, AN ACCIDENT OCCURRED DUE TO THE MALFUNCTION OF THIS VEHICLE. AT THIS TIME, THE PARTS TO REPLACE THE MALFUNCTIONED PARTS WERE NOT AVAILABLE. I HAVE RECEIVED 2 RECALL NOTICES FOR MY BRAND NEW TRUCK. MY 2 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER AND I WERE INJURED IN THIS ACCIDENT. *TR
