TAKATA RECALL. MY VEHICLE WAS RECALLED DUE TO THE POTENTIAL SEVERITY OF HARM TO OCCUPANTS WHEN AN AIRBAG INFLATOR RUPTURES. I WAS NOTIFIED ON JUNE 1 2016 OF THIS PROBLEM. I HAVE CALLED THE FORD DEALER A FEW TIMES DURING THE LAST 19 MONTHS AND THE ANSWER IS THE SAME. NO PARTS AVAILABLE. MORE RECENTLY, I RECEIVED A LETTER FROM FORD ADVISING THAT I SHOULD NOT USE THE FRONT SEAT FOR PASSENGERS. NOW MY SUV IS ESSENTIALLY A TAXI CAB. I'M SURE YOU WOULD AGREE THIS IS A VERY SERIOUS MATTER. AT THIS TIME, FORD HAS CHOSEN NOT TO ASSIST CONSUMERS WHO UNFORTUNATELY PURCHASED A POTENTIALLY LETHAL PRODUCT FROM THEM. I THINK THE NHTSA SHOULD REQUIRE ALL MANUFACTURERS TO COMPENSATE CONSUMERS WHO NOW HAVE 1/2 A VEHICLE. IN ADDITION, I AM CONCERNED ABOUT THE VALUE OF THIS VEHICLE. I DO HAVE ONE QUESTION YOU MAY ASSIST WITH. IN THE 3RD AMENDMENT TO THE CRO, PARAGRAPH 33 ASSIGNS A PRIORITY GROUP TO VEHICLES. ACCORDING TO MY CALCULATIONS, MY RECALL NOTICE OF JUNE 1 2016, ALONG WITH THE HAH AND AGE OF MY VEHICLE (2007), PUTS ME IN PG4. (MARCH 31 2018 CORRECTION DATE). THIS IS A SIMPLE FIX THAT FORD HAS REFUSED TO PROCURE PARTS TO FIX AT THE RISK OF KILLING MY FAMILY MEMBERS. 1.5 YEARS TO COME UP WITH A SIMPLE PART THAT COULD SAVE MY FAMILY'S SAFETY AND LIFE.
