The driver's side rear door panel gets caught on the door frame and will only open a couple of inches unless force is used. The car has never been in an accident, and nothing has ever been shoved or forced against the door to cause this. There are MANY reports online of similar issues with the Escape (https://www.cargurus.com/Cars/Discussion-t66217_ds936400, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TaP7DcfkJ9g, https://community.cartalk.com/t/ford-escape-door-trim-clips/179063, among others). This is a safety issue because if someone needs to enter or exit the back seat quickly, it is difficult or would be impossible if the person was physically injured or had a physical disability that limited their upper-body strength. The problem has been confirmed by a Ford dealer. I am not sure to what extent they "inspected" it. There was no warning or any other symptoms prior to the failure.

Whitish and/or whitish-blue smoke comes out of tailpipes when starting vehicle . Believe there is faulty head gasket or engine block that causes oil to be mixed with antifreeze resulting in permanent damage to engine over time which could lead to possible fires, breakdowns, and or fumes. Tried to get it looked at to confirm that the 1.5l engines from the 2019 Ford Escapes are an issue like past models but dealership tried to side step me and not properly look over vehicle in my opinion.

WHEN GOT THE ESCAPE I WAS IN TENNESSEE ORDERED IT FROM TEXAS. FORD SALES MAN BROUGHT IT TO ME, BUT I DIDNT GET TO TEST DRIVE. GOT THERE AT NIGHT SIGN PAPERS THEN THE NEXT MORNING(FIRST TIME DRIVING) WAS DRIVING AND WHEN I STOPPED AT THE RED LIGHT, THEN ACCELERATED IT STARTED SHAKING THEN IT STOPPED. STILL DOES TILL THIS DAY EITHER WHEN ITS A FULL STOP OR GOING LIKE 30 ,70. THEY DIDNT TELL ME IT WAS A REAR ENDED COLLISION CAR. AFTER A MONTH I SIGNED IN TO CARFAX FOUND OUT IT NEEDED A RECALL FOR TRANSMISSION SHIFTER CABLE BUSHING.CALLED FORD AND THEY SAID THEYLL CALL ME BACK ONCE THEY RECIEVED THE PART.NEVER CALLED ME BACK ,CALLED AGAIN AND SAID THEY STILL WAITING. MOVED TO TEXAS ABOUT 4 MONTHS AGO WENT HERE IN TEXAS.GOT IT REPLACED THOUGHT THAT WAS THE REASON IT SHAKES BUT APPERANTLY NOT. I WAS TOLD I HAVE GOLD CERTEFIED USED VEHICLE. WENT TO FOR ONE DAY AND WAS TOLD THAT ONLY THE BOLD PARTS NOTHING THAT WEARS OFF. WASNT REALLY HELPFUL. CAN YOU GUYS PLEASE LET ME KNOW. While driving at 70 mph on the expressway, the car began jerking forward and having trouble increasing/decreasing speed. It was like the car was skipping. I immediately exited the expressway because my 3 year old daughter was in the car. I drove it to the nearest Ford dealership that I could get the vehicle to safely. I bought the vehicle two weeks ago at Brighton Ford (240 W Grand River Rd, Brighton, MI 48114) on Saturday, July 23, 2022. I have only had the car about two weeks. When I bought the car they sold it to me with a nail in the tire AND an open recall. (The tire has already been replaced) This is absolutely unacceptable. They were in such a rush to make a deal, that nothing was discussed with me that day outside of the transaction including mentioning that there is an open recall (Unintentional Rollaway Due to Detached Shift Cable: A damaged or missing bushing may prevent the vehicle from shifting into the intended gear, and cause the vehicle to move in an unexpected direction. Additionally, the vehicle may roll after the driver selects the 'Park' position. Either scenario increases the risk of a crash or injury!!). The recall affects MILLIONS of vehicles, so there's no way they weren't aware the vehicle they sold me fell into this category of unsafe. I suspect who ever turned it in, did so, specifically because of the recall. Then the dealership turned around and sold it without fixing it, putting my daughter and I in danger. I am now without a vehicle until they can get it fixed. This does not need to happen to anyone else, and we are grateful we did not get into a fatal accident.

I just had these tires replaced about 2 yrs ago and the front driver's side stated loosing air and upon inspection it is starting to shred. All 4 are doing this but not as back as the front one. This is a safety hazard if they were to come apart while driving it. The warning light came on stating low tire pressure. I only have 36744 miles on this vehicle.this happened on 7 /20/2022.. tire is in my possession but i will have to have it changed. Info is 235/45R19 95M MS DOT A3E6
I was driving my car and then all of a sudden it's starts to jerk and make this clanking sound and stops in the middle of traffic...a indicator check engine light pops in and the service transmission soon..thank God there was no accident due to quick thinking. I try to restart the car and take to the dealer where I bought it and was told they could do nothing and they were backed for 3 months and they just cleared out the message. I start driving it again because I don't have a car and I have to get back and forth to work. Maybe 2 days later it's does the same thing and the car shut down and wouldn't change any gears. I had to get towed which cost money out of my pocket. The car would not move. I only had this car 2 months and I feel as if this was known before the car was sold. Know I have no car and being expected of paying a car note. I contacted Ford and they have nothing to say about it. This is unjust and creeping it's way into a civil lawsuit due to the many complaints. I just want my car fixed as it should because who pays for a car they can't drive.
Loosing antifreeze found no external leaks
The check engine light would come on at high RPMs and the car would begin to shake violently. I would generally pull over and turn off the engine in order to stop if from misfiring. This occurred after an engine replacement in the vehicle. The engine now has a crack in it and the short block needs replacing. This is the second time I am in need of an engine replacement in 90k miles on the vehicle. The cylinders continue to intermitently misfire and the engine leaks oil. The first time is needed replacing the engine overheated and told me to pull over when I was driving. The next day the engine would not start.

At 61,000 miles (1,000 miles outside Ford Factory warranty) my vehicle 2019 Ford Escape has a blown head gasket. The Check engine illuminated with a code of an engine misfire. Upon taking it to a ford dealership it was confirmed to have a blown head gasket.
On March 29, 2022 my 2019 Ford Escape suddenly started shaking with no lights coming on to tell me there was an issue. When taken to the shop and after one week was towed to ford due to not being about to fix this problem. Once it arrived at ford the issue was found to be a leaking coolant which ruined the engine. This is a known ford problem. They will not fix the vehicle and for over a month we have been fighting with ford they have made no progress. This is known to cause engine failure, or verb eating engines, and even engine fires.
2019 Ford Escape SEL. Left and right front headlamps simultaneously stopped working during nighttime driving. Dangerous safety issue. Dashboard headlamp green symbol continued to display headlamps were functioning properly. There was no warning symbol. Vehicle electrical issue was repaired at dealership at no charge. I am aware of an identical problem occurring on a similar 2019 Ford Escape SEL. My belief is the headlamp failure is not a random issue and is a serious safety defect that has not been addressed by Ford Motor Company.

After the vehicle has been running and stopped at a traffic light or an intersection, whether the auto-start is on or off, as you pull out into traffic the engine shuts off. No error code to the computer that Ford could find, it just stops. This is a life and death situation as oncoming traffic are approaching. In order to get it started again, you have to put the vehicle in park and push the stop/start button.

My vehicle is 2 yrs old and began having purge valve issues. Upon trying to fix the problem, I found that the part is on back order with no parts available anywhere in my region. Also while trying to locate the purge valve, part number: Gv6z9d289e, I found that several other people were also trying to locate the part indicating this is an issue in several vehicles. The vehicle vapor locks upon fueling possibly resulting in future engine damage.

https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2019/MC-10169807-0001.pdf My coolant is leaking into my cylinder. Making my car misfire and have P0301 code. Cylinder and spark plugs have been replaced. But error is still coming and coolant get lower every day. This needs to be recalled as many people are having this issue. Its not our fault and shouldn't have to pay to replace the short block and engine for a car's manufacturing issues. The car doesn't run right and its very pricey to fix.

I was stopped and when I stepped on the gas pedal to make my turn my car's engine accelerated at full force, stepping on the brake It wouldn't stop the car. I put the car in neutral and was able to pull over break and put it in park. It was as if the car was possessed and took me for a wild ride. I called the dealership they checked it out no dash lights came on no nothing so they were unable to detect any problem. I had my car for almost 3 years I'm an experienced driver and nothing ever happened to me like this before. The dealership tried to tell me my mat must have been stuck under my gas pedal which I know is not true due to I look down at my gas pedal while trying to break and if it was stuck under my gas pedal like they're saying my car wouldn't accelerate I would have trouble pushing the gas and making it go so nothing makes sense.
Our check engine light came on in our 2019 Ford Escape, which has 80,000 miles. It overheated with no warning. We took it to the dealership who informed us the coolant leaked and caused a crack in the engine between the 2nd and 3rd cylinders and said the engine needs to be completely replaced.

There is something wrong with either the bcm, headlight assembly, or headlight wiring harnesses. My low beam headlight bulbs only last about 6 months and then they go bad. I have tried using OEM bulbs, sylanvia bulbs, and led bulbs and have the same result = replacing within 6 months! This causes a severe safety issue as I lose visibility from a headlight. This issue is well documented all over the Internet and no one has been able to find any answers, except for a couple people being able to just use OEM bulbs and replace yearly.
The contact owns a 2019 Ford Escape. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the vehicle unintendedly decelerated and then accelerated. At 44,000 miles Engine began to idle badly on startup and misfire. Engine light came on during drive home after work. Stopped vehicle and had it towed to the nearest Ford Dealer. Dealer Service Technician checked codes and reported P0304 cylinder 4 miss fire. Dealer Technician replaced and replaced all four sparks plugs and used 446676 cleaner to clean throttle body, intake, fuel injectors and valve. Few days later engine light returned, took vehicle back to Ford Dealer. Ford Technician checked and road tested vehicle and stated 446676 cleaner may not have finished cleaning systems and that was the cause of the engine light. A few days later engine began to idle badly on startup and misfire again. Then saw white smoke came from the exhaust on startup. Two weeks earlier just had vehicle service maintenance completed by the Ford Dealer. Invoice #233228 and #782806.
I was driving along in a Eagle Grove. Iowa when my Escape's collision assist was shut off, then the traction control light started to come on and off. i tried to shut it off with a button but it wouldn't listen. Also my engine acted like it was dying I could only go about 5 miles per hour. I found a parking lot, pulled in and shut the car off hoping the computer would reset. I waited a bit, tried the Escape and everything was fine. I drove off. This Escape was in a car crash in Feb.2021 the brakes failed and my son was driving we hit another SUV. Now I wonder if someone shut off our brakes. I am scared now, I think someone is trying to harm me.
Engine began to idle badly on startup and misfire. White smoke came from exhaust on startup. Coolant levels started to decrease. Engine is burning coolant that has leaked into the cylinders due to a defect in the casting of the engine block. Dealership is now saying car needs an entire new engine block. Obviously the previous recall that was addressed did not solve the issue.
I was stopped at a traffic light and when I went to resume driving the steering froze and a steering assist warning light came on the dash. I turned the engine off and restarted the wheel turned and locked again. I then drove the car back to the dealer service(7/24/21). They said they would look at it on Monday7/26/21. Vehicle has 83,000 miles. Purchased new at Mullinax Ford New Smyrna Beach.
