THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 198,000. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE PASSENGER SEATED IN THE MIDDLE ROW OF THE VEHICLE WAS UNABLE TO BUCKLE THE SEAT BELT. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTICS OR REPAIRS. CONSUMER NOTICED SOMETHING WHITE IN REAR MIRROR, AND WITHIN SECONDS, CONSUMER WAS REAR ENDED AT ABOUT 40 MPH BY OTHER VEHICLE. NONE OF AIRBAGS DPLOYED. IF CONSUMER DIDN'T HAVE A SEAT BELT ON WOULD HAVE BEEN KNOCKED THROUGH WINDOW. *AK
