WHILE DRIVING ON HIGHWAY AT SPEED 60 MPH THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY ACCELERATED TO A SPEED OF 95 MPH, THE CONSUMER STOPPED VEHICLE BY PUTTING INTO NEUTRAL.
TRANSMISSION JUMPS OUT OF PARK.
TORQUE CONVERTER FAILED, PREVENTING TRANSMISSION FROM SHIFTING GEARS PROPERLY.
GREASE FROM THE SUSPENSION FELL ON THE LEFT BRAKE ROTOR, CAUSING BRAKE FAILURE, COULD NOT STOP VEHICLE. *AK

4 WHEEL DRIVE FAILED, CAUSING ACCIDENT.
WHILE DRIVING 15 MPH THE STEERING WHEEL SEPERATED FROM THE STEERING COLUMN, CAUSING LOSS OF CONTROL. DEALER STATES THAT MOUNTING BOLT IS MISSING. PLEASE GIVE FURTHER DETAILS. *AK
I NO LONGER OWN THIS TRUCK, HENCE THE MISSING INFORMATION. I WAS DRIVING AT HIGH SPEED ON A NICE SUNNY 70- SOME DEGREE DAY WHEN A PART OF THE TREAD PEELED OFF AND THE SIDEWALL BLEW OUT. I WAS ABLE TO STEER TO THE SHOULDER AND STOP, WITH SIGNIFICANT DIFFICULTY. I DID NOT KNOW THIS INFO MIGHT BE SIGNIFICANT UNTIL NOW. I WAS NOT IN A SOUTHERN STATE IN HOT WEATHER. THE TIRE WAS ONLY SIX MONTHS OLD, I HAD RUINED THE ORIGINAL EQUIPMENT TIRE AT A CONSTRUCTION SITE. *AK( DOT NUMBER: )
FIRESTONE RADIAL ATX II TIRES (P235/75R15) EXPERIENCED AN AIR LEAK BETWEEN THE TREAD AND SIDEWALL, THE DEALER RECOMMENDED ALL TIRES BE REPLACED, THE CONSUMER IS REQUESTING REIMBURSEMENT FOR THE 2 FAULTY TIRES. *SLC

WHILE DRIVING CONSUMER HIT SOME ICE AND SLID OFF ROAD AND RAN OVER A SMALL TREE, VEHICLE BEGAN TO SPIN. WHILE SPINNING, CONSUMER HIT TWO MORE TREES ON THE DRIVER'S SIDE, AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY AT ALL. CONSUMER WAS INJURED SLIGHTLY. *AK
LIMITED SLIP REAR END CLUTCH DOES NOT ALWAYS ENGAGE.
WHILE DRIVING TURNED ON THE DEFROSTER, WINDOWS GOT FOGGED UP, DRIVER UNABLE TO SEE, DRIVER LOST CONTROL OF VEHICLE. RAN INTO DITCH. VEHICLE BEING TOWED TO DEALER. INSURANCE ADJUSTOR LOOKED AT VEHICLE. *AK
ELECTRICAL: DROVE VEHICLE FROM GEORGIA TO FLORIDA, PULLED INTO DRIVEWAY, NOTICED SMOKE COMING UP AROUND THE WINDSHIELD, TURNED THE IGNITION OFF AND WAS GETTING OUT OF VEHICLE WHEN HE NOTICED SMOKE COMING FROM THE FLOORBOARD.THERE WAS NO WARNING LIGHTS OR ANY TYPE OF WARNING TO LET KNOW THAT THE VEHICLE WAS ABOUT TO CATCH FIRE. VEHICLE WAS TOTALED. *AK
CONSUMER RECEIVED A INFORMATION BROCHURE REGARDING AIRBAGS & ON/OFF SWITCHES. HOWEVER, CONSUMER WANTS A AIRBAG ON/OFF SWITCH INSTALLED, DEALER SAYS THEY KNOW NOTHING ABOUT BROCHURE, DENIED INSTALLATION. *YC
UPON PRESSING ACCELERATOR PEDAL AND WHILE ACCELERATING ONTO HWY. EXPERIENCED THROTTLE STICKING, STAYED IN WIDE OPEN POSITION, CAUSING EXCESSIVE ENGINE SPEED AND POWER, HAD TO PULL UP PEDAL WITH HAND TO DECELERATE ON TWO OCCASIONS, HAS BEEN FIXED. *AK
ANTILOCK BRAKES FAILED FIVE TIMES, ONCE CAUSING ACCIDENT/ROLLOVER/INJURY.
ACCELERATOR STICKS TO THE FLOOR.
SINCE 1997, VEHICLE HAS HAD PROBLEMS WITH THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT. RESPONSE FROM FORD WAS THAT DUE TO THE LARGE NUMBER OF SENSORS THAT ACTIVATE THE LIGHT, IT WOULD BE IMPOSSIBLE TO TELL WHAT WAS SETTING IT OFF. THEN TOLD FORD TO RUN PCM DIAGNOSTIC TEST TO OBTAIN CODES, DIDN;T KNOW WHAT I WAS TALKING ABOUT. FINALLY GOT THEM TO DO IT, AND IT CAME UP WITH FAULTY O2 SENSOR. REPLACED SENSOR, AND PROBLEM PERSISTED. WENT BACK, RAN TEST, CAME BACK WITH SAME RESULTS. FORD HAS BEEN NO HELP, CONTACTED FORD, SAID NOT SAFETY RELATED, THEREFORE NOT THEIR PROBLEM. WILL NEVER BUY A FORD AGAIN. *AK
HEADLAMP ASSEMBLIES WERE ORIGINALLY CLEAR PLASTIC BUT HAVE AGED NOT VERY WELL TO THE POINT WHERE THEY ARE OPAQUE (CLOUDY) AND I FEEL THE LIGHT OUTPUT HAS DIMINISHED CONSIDERABLY BELOW ORIGINAL LUMEN LEVELS. I HAVE NOTICED MAJORITY OF FORD PRODUCTS THAT ARE OVER 3-4 YEARS OF AGE HAVE CLOUDED PLASTIC HEADLAMPS. CLOSE EXAMINATION REVEALS SLIGHT CRAZING OF THE PLASTIC OUTER SURFACE AS WELL AS GENERAL DULLNESS OF THE PLASTIC.*AK
TRANSMISSION WOULD SLIP IN & OUT OF OVERDRIVE WHILE DRIVING. WOULD JERK WHEN THIS HAPPENED. VEHICLE WAS CONTROLLABLE, SPEED WAS NOT A FACTOR. NOT AN INTERMITTENT PROBLEM. TOOK VEHICLE TO DEALERSHIP & WAS INFORMED THAT A NEW TRANSMISSION WAS REQUIRED. *AK
TRANSMISSION SLIPPED IN AND OUT OF OVERDRIVE WHILE DRIVING. WOULD HAVE NO WARNING. THIS CAUSED VEHICLE TO JERK. PROBLEM WAS NOT INTERMITTENT. TOOK VEHICLE TO DEALERSHIP & WAS INFORMED BY MECHANIC THAT TRANSMISSION NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. *AK
WHEN VEHICLE WAS ENGAGED IN 4-WHEEL DRIVE HIGH AT A LOW SPEED (28 MPH) , HIT BLACK ICE AND THREW VEHICLE ACROSS HWY. VEHICLE ROLLED ON ONE SIDE, SKIDDED AND CAME UP AGAIN. VEHICLE HAS BEEN REPAIRED. THE 4X4 WHEELTRANSFER MOTOR FAILED. *AK
WHILE DRIVNG THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY WENT INTO OPEN THROTTLE POSITION, RPMS UNKNOWN, SHUT THE ENGINE OFF, WAITED A FEW SECONDS, TURNED THE IGNITION ON AGAIN AND THE ACCELERATOR WAS STILL IN OPEN THROTTLE POSITION. *AK
ABS: BRAKES TOTALLY FAILED WITHOUT WARNING WHILE COMING ONTO MAJOR ST, PEDAL WENT TO FLOOR, DRIVER SHIFTED INTO PARK GEAR TO STOP VEHICLE, SPEED 5 MPH. *AK

WHEN APPLYING THE ABS BRAKES, THE BRAKES FAILED. *AK CONSUMER STATED MASTER CYLINDER FAILED IT WAS A DEFECTIVE PART AND DEALERSHIP REPLACED AT NO CHARGE, ALSO FRONT BUMPER AND FRONT STRIP IS DAMAGED.*JB
BRAKES FAILED THREE TIMES.
THE CONSUMER WAS IN AN ACCIDENT AND THE FRONT SEAT BELTS UNLOCKED FROM THE BUCKLE. *AK
ABS LOCKED UP WHEN APPLIED AND WHEN CAR HIT A TELEPHONE POLE THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. PLEASE GIVE MORE DETAILS. *AK
AFTER DRIVING THROUGH WATER ENGINE DIED AFTER WATER WAS SUCKED INTO ENGINE PISTIONS DUE TO AIR INTAKE BEING LOCATED ON BOTTOM OF VEHICLE.
WATER GOT SUCKED INTO THE AIR INTAKE, THROUGH THE AIR FILTER, AND INTO THE ENGINE, RESULTING IN HYDROSTATIC LOCK-UP AND TOTAL ENGINE FAILURE.
TRUCK WAS INVOLVED IN REAR -END ACCIDENT, ANOTHER VEHICLE WITH FRONTAL IMPACT 45 MPH, NEITHER DUAL AIR BAGS DEPLOYED. .*AK
CHILD'S FINGER TIP AND NAIL WAS SNAPPED OFF BY ROLLER PIN LOCATED IN THE DOOR.*AK
LOCATION OF REAR VIEW MIRROR INTERFERES WITH FORWARD VISIBILITY.

NO DEPLOYMENT OF DRIVER'S AND PASSENGER'S AIR BAGS DURING AN ACCIDENT, RESULTING IN INJURIES. *AK
THE VEHICLE STALLS IN TRAFFIC WHEN DRIVING AT SLOW SPEEDS OR COMING TO A STOP, IT CUTS OFF COMPLETELY. *AK

DUE TO THE DESIGN OF THE FLOOR MAT, THE FLOOR MAT IS STICKING UNDER THE GAS PEDAL, CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO ACCELERATE. *AK
CONSUMER HAD NOTICED THAT WHEN DRIVING AND UPON DEPRESSING THE ACCELARTOR PEDAL AND RELEASING FOOT FROM PEDAL, THE VEHICLE CONTINUES TO ACCELERATE AS IF FORCE WAS STILL BEING APPLIED TO THE PEDAL, CAUSING THE CONSUMER TO HAVE HAVE SOME NEAR MISHAPS. CONSUMER ALSO CONTACTED THE DEALER ON A NUMBER OF OCCASIONS DUE TO THE ABOVE LISTED PROBLEM. *AK
PE 00-020; ORIGINAL TIRES ON FORD EXPLORER 1995 P23575R15. COSNUMER WAS DRIVING AT APPROXIMATELY 65-70 MPH WHEN REAR RIGHT TIRE TREAD SEPARATED AND THEN BLEW OUT. *AK THE TIRE WAS USED FOR ONLY 7300 MILES. FIRESTONE CLAIMED IT ROAD HAZARD. *YH
WHILE PARKED, WIRES BEGAN TO SPARK IN THE DASH BOARD AND SMELLED OF SMOKE THEN CAUGHT ON FIRE. MORE INFORMATION PLEASE. *AK
