ENGINE STALLS AT IDLE, DUE TO ON-BOARD COMPUTER.
DOOR LOCKS FAILED.
THIS IS IN RE: TO A VIBRATION ISSUE WHICH HAS BEEN ONGOING SINCE BEFORE MY VEHICLE REACHED 11,000 MILES. I HAVE GIVEN NO LESS THAN 25 OPPORTUNITIES TO 2 FORD DEALERS, AND THIER REPRESENTATIVES, AND HAVE GOTTEN NO MORE THAN A "NO PROBLEM FOUND" OR "THIS IS A TIRE ISSUE" (OR THE 2 TECHNICIANS WHO STATED THE OBVIOUS "I HAVE NO IDEA..." ONE STATED, " IF YOU FIND OUT WHAT IT IS, LET US KNOW, ALL RIGHT?". I HAVE SINCE THE LAST DEALER VISIT, AND SUBSEQUENT FORD MOTOR COMPANY CUSTOMER SERVICE CENTER CALLS, TAKEN MY TRUCK TO 3 DIFFERENT AUTO REPAIR SHOPS. 3 OF 3 SAID IT WAS DRIVE TRAIN RELATED. 2 OF 3 SAID IT WAS THE DRIVESHAFT OR ATTACHED COMPONENTRY. PATTERSON DRIVESHAFTS IN INDIANAPOLIS REBALANCED AND TRUED THE DRIVE SHAFT AND 50% OF THE VIBRATION PROBLEMS WERE IMMEDIATELY DONE AWAY WITH, (THIS WAS IN ONE DAY, FIRST VISIT). ONE FORD DEALER SERVICE SHOP ASSERTED THEY HAD REPLACED THE DRIVESHAFT ON ONE OF THE SERVICE CALLS. BUT THIS IS ONLY SOMETHING WRITTEN ON A RECEIPT TO ME, SINCE THIS PARTICULAR SERVICE CALL SEEMED TO DO LITTLE, IF ANYTHING FOR THE PROBLEM. I CALLED FORD C.S.D. TO ASK HOW THIS CAN BE THAT AN "OUTSIDE" SERVICE COMPANY COULD FIND THIS PROBLEM CAUSE WITH SEEMINGLY LITTLE EFFORT. I WAS TOLD BY THE FMC REP. THAT WE(FORD)DO NOT RECOGNIZE THE 'OPINION' OF OUTSIDE CONTRACTORS, RELATIVE TO REPAIRS". (I HAVE SINCE BEEN TOLD THAT PATTERSON DRIVESHAFT IS ONE OF FORD'S MOST USED DRIVESHAFT CONTRACTOR/TECHNICIANS), THEY KNOW FROM WHENCE THEY SPEAK. THEN RECENTLY, I HEARD FROM A FRIEND ABOUT YOUR WEBSITE, (I HAD CALLED ONCE SEVERAL MONTHS AGO). THIS IS GREAT! I CAN SEE NO LESS THAN 3 TSB'S ON MY PARTICULAR ISSUE, AND SOME MORE COMPLAINTS THAT I'VE VOICED TO FORD ("NO PROBLEM FOUND"), I SEE ARE LISTED TOO. NOW IF I ONLY KNEW WHAT TO DO FROM HERE. I HAVE PAID FOR FURTHER DIAGNOSTICS, AND BEEN TOLD THAT THIS MAY TAKE UPWARDS OF 16 HOURS @ $78.00 PER HOUR TO PINPOINT THE LAST OF THE VIB. PROBLEMS(THOUGH THE VIBRATION NOW FEELS MORE PREVALANT (PLEASE CONTACT ME FMI).
DRIVING VEHICLE, SUDDENLY THE DRIVER'S SIDE SEAT BELT STRAP CAME APART AND THE BOLT FELL OUT ON THE FLOOR OF THE VEHICLE. *AK *SLC
STEERING ARM WORN, CAUSING NOISE.
WHILE DRIVING THE STEERING WHEEL IS VERY LOOSE AND IT IS NOT AN SAFE TO DRIVE VEHICLE. *AK
WAS DRIVING AND MADE A TURN, THE TRUCK ACCELERATED, CRUISE CONTROL WASN'T ON . PLEASE DESCRIBE . *AK
CAMSHAFT FAILED, CAUSING FRONT END TO BOUNCE, DAMAGING TIRES.
THE CONSUMER WHEN DRIVING AT ANY SPEED AND THERE WA S A PROBLEM WITH THE OVERDRIVE. ALSO, WHEN CONSUMER APPLIED BRAKES, THEY WENT STRAIGHT TO THE FLOORBOARD AND THE VEHICLE ACCELERATED BY ITSELF. VEHICLE HAS BEEN INTO REPAIR SHOP 20 TIMES FOR REPAIRS, AND THE DEALER CAN'T DETERMINE THE PROBLEM. *AK
ELECTRIC DOOR LOCK ACTUCTOR FAILED.
THE VEHICLE WAS IN PARK POSITION AND THE KEY WAS IN THE IGNITION AND THE VEHICLE JUMPED OUT OF GEAR IN REVERSE. *AK
TRANSMISSION JUMPED OUT OF GEAR FORWARD WHEN GOING FROM PARK INTO DRIVE AND FROM REVERSE INTO DRIVE. *AK
OXYGEN SENSOR FAILED TWICE.
TACHOMETER INOPERATIVE.
PROBLEM WITH FRONT WINDSHIELD.
WHEEL LUG FAILED.
EVAPORATION SYSTEM KEEPS FAILING, CAUSING GAS FUMES TO COME INTO VEHICLE AND OVERFLOW GAS FROM TOP OF TANK. ALSO ENGINE CHECK LIGHT KEEPS COMING ON.
ODOMETER FRAUD.
CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON WHILE DRIVING, ALSO BRAKE CALIPER FAILED, VEHICLE WOULD SHIFT FROM LANE TO LANE. *AK
WHILE DRIVING AT HIGHWAY, ABS BRAKES WERE APPLIED AT A SUDDEN STOP, BRAKES FAILED TO DISENGAGE, PEDAL WENT ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR, RESULTING IN EXTENDED STOPPING DISTANCE. *AK
WENT THROUGH AN 18 INCH PUDDLE, THE WATER CAME THROUGH THE MANIFOLD AND NOW THE ENGINE HAS CEASED. *AK
WATER SPLASHED UP INTO THE AIR INTAKE PORT, CAUSING ENGINE TO SEIZE.
ENGINE FLOODED BY WATER THRU AIR INTAKE.
WHILE DRIVING VEHICLE ONTO THE INTERSECTION, GOING DOWN MAIN STREET, CAME TO STOP SIGN, ANOTHER VEHICLE PULLED OUT OF THE INTERSECTION, FORD HIT SIDE DOOR OF OTHER VEHICLE, AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY AND BRAKES (ABS) DID NOT HOLD.*AK
NO DEPLOYMENT OF AIRBAGS DURING COLLISION, CAUSING INJURIES.
FAN BELT FAILED.
EMISSION CONTROL GAUGE FAILED.
JACK HANDLE FAILED.
STEERING LOCK IGNITION FAILED.
PE00 020; CONSUMER WAS TRAVELING ABOUT 70MPH ON HIGHWAY AND HEARD LOUD POPPING NOISE. REAR TIRE TREAD HAD SEPARATED. AND EXPLODED. TIRE WAS A FIRESTONE ATX, AND SIZE #P23575/R15. ALSO, TIRE DAMAGED THE FENDER. *AK
WHILE DRIVING VEHICLE ON THE EXPRESSWAY VEHICLE ACCELERATED TO A VERY HIGH SPEED, GAS PEDAL WENT ALL THE WENT TO THE FLOOR, VEHICLE WENT WIDE OPEN. THIS CONDITION CONTINUED WITH FOOT ON BRAKES, ALMOST CAUSED A SERIOUS ACCIDENT. THIS HAPPENED TWICE.*AK
WHILE DRIVING ON INTERSTATE HIGHWAY AND ATTEMPTING TO CORRECT DIRECTION OF VEHICLE. IT ROTATED CONTER-CLOCKWISE AND WENT INTO A SLIDE. VEHICLE ROLLED OVER 4 TIMESS. IN ADDITION, DURING ITS FIRST ROTATION, DOOR LATCH FAILED, DOOR OPENED AND DRIVER PARTIALLY EJECTED. DRIVER DIED FROM FATAL INJURIES AND PASSSENGER WA S INJURED. DRIVER WAS NOT INFORMED BY FORD OF RECALL REGARDING DOOR LATCHES AND LOCKS (96V-070). *AK

ABS BRAKES FADED/PEDAL WENT TO FLOOR; BRAKES GAVE OUT WHILE DRIVING DOWNHILL/OVERHEATED NOT GRABBING ROTORS, ONCE COOLED DOWN WORKED AS NORMAL; CAUSED ACCIDENT, REARENDED ANOTHER VEHICLE; NO WARNING; FORD SAYS BRAKES ARE OPERATING AS DESIGNED. *AK
CONSUMER HAS NOT RECEIVED HER DOOR LATCH PARTS UNDER RECALL 96V070000. *AK
11:00 POSITION, WAS HIT BY ANOTHER VEHICLE, DRIVER'S AND PASSENGER'S AIRBAGS FLOPPED OUT WITH OUT ANY INFLATION.*AK
POWER SEAT CONTROLS FAILED.
ANTI LOCK BRAKES FAILED.
CONSUMER APPLIED THE BRAKES FOR AN UPCOMING TURN WHEN THE VEHICLE ROLLED OVER AND WENT DOWN AN EMBANKMENT, THE ROLLOVER RESULTED IN 3 PEOPLE SUSTAINING INJURIES. *SLC

GAS PEDAL TOO CLOSE TO BRAKE PEDAL, CAUSING THEM TO BE DEPRESSED SIMULTANEOUSLY/ACCIDENT.
FRONT AXLE HAS A MANUFACTURING DEFECT WHICH DOES NOT ALLOW THE AXLE TO VENT PROPERLY, THIS CAUSES OIL TO FOAM AND SPRAY OU OF THE VENT TUBE, OIL HAS GOTTEN ALL OVER THE UNDERSIDE OF THE VEHICLE INCLUDING THE BRAKE SYSTEM, WHICH CAUSES FADED BRAKING. *SLC

EXPLORER SPORT (4X2),( MANUAL TRANSMISSION)(18,462 MILES) DODGING TRUCK TIRE RETREAD ON INTERSTATE WAS OVERSTEERED. THEN OVERSTEERED BACK WHEN LEFT REA HUB ASSEMBLY BROKE OFF. THEN CAR FLIPED 6 TIMES. WHEN THE CAR LOST THE REA WHEEL, CONTROL WAS LOST.*AK
ORDER RECALL PART FROM DEALER. STILL HAS NOT CAME IN, HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR MORE THAN A MONTH. RECALL 96V007000. *AK
DRIVESHAFT CAME OFF WHILE DRIVING THE VEHICLE. *AK WHILE DRIVING ABOUT 15-20 MPH THE DRIVESHAFT BECAME DISCONNECTED WHICH FORCED CONSUMER TO GLIDE OF TO THE SHOULDER .*JB
