WINDSHIELD WIPERS WILL COME ON, ENGAGING WITHOUT OWNER TOUCHING CONTROLS. PLEASE DESCRIBE DETAILS. *AK
GAS PEDAL BRACKET BROKE AND DISMOUNTED FROM VEHICLE. BRAKE PEDAL AND GAS PEDAL ARE TOO CLOSE TOGETHER , COULD RESULT IN A COLLISION.*AK
THE AIR BAG LIGHT CAME ON AFTER THE OWNER PURCHASING TRUCK ACCUMULATING SEVERAL MILES. HE HAD THE "ALL RSPR ASY AIR BAG" REPLACED. NINE MONTHS LATER,SAME SITUATION ACCURRED DEALING WITH THE AIR BAG LIGHT STAYING ON. PLEASE DESCRIBE DETAILS.AK
HAD INTERMITTENT PROBLEMS OVER APPROX 3 WEEK PERIOD. TOOK CAR INTO DEALER WHO INSPECTED CAR AND SAID PROBLEM IS PROBABLY A GASKET IN THE TRANSMISSION WHICH FAILED. ALSO SAID THIS IS KNOWN TO HAPPEN IN THESE TRANSMISSIONS AND THAT HE COULD PROBABLY GET FORD TO PAY ABOUT 70% OF REPAIR COST, LEAVING ME TO PAY ABOUT $125. IF THIS IS A COMMONLY OCCURRING SAFETY PROBLEM, THEN FORD SHOULD RECALL THESE TRANSMISSIONS AND PAY FOR COMPLETE REPAIR COSTS. MY CAR WENT FROM HAVING SHIFTING PROBLEMS TO FINALLY HAVING THE MOTOR DIE AT INTERSECTIONS WHEN STOPPING, DUE TO TRANSMISSION FAILING. TRANSMISSION IS NOT ACTING LIKE IT IS SUPPOSE TO. EVERY TIMEE CONSUMER HIT THE BRAKES PASSENGER SIDE WILL MAKE A REAL HARD NOISE. TRANSMISSION HAS BEEN FIXED FIVE TIMES, AND IT IS UNDER WARRANTY. BUT BRAKE DEALER STATED THAT THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG WITH IT. TS
THE SEAT LATCH ASSEMBLY BROKE. *AK *JB
CONSUMER HIT AN ICY PATCH ON THE ROAD, THE VEHICLE STARTED TO SKID, THE VEHICLE WAS OVER CORRECTED, HIT SIDE OF ROAD AND VEHICLE TURNED OVER SEVERAL TIMES. DRIVER SUSTAINED INJURIES, AND VEHICLE WAS TOTALED. *AK *JB
THE FORD MANUAL FOR THE 1999 FORD EXPEDITION STATED THE CONSUMER SHOULD STOP FUELING AFTER THE AUTOMATIC SHUTOFF OF THE SERVICE STATION PUMP STOP FUELING TWICE. THE CONSUMER WAS INFORMED BY A MECHANIC THAT OVER FILLING THE TANK COULD CAUSE A CARTRIDGE FILTER IN THE FILLER NECK TO MALFUNCTION. *AK *JB
WHEN THE CONSUMER APPLIED THE BRAKES TO SLOW DOWN, THE VEHICLE SKIDDED, HIT A BARRIER AND FLIPPED OVER 3 TIMES. THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. *JB
WHILE DRIVING 65 MPH WITH THE CRUISE CONTROL ENGAGED, THE VEHICLE LOST CONTROL AND WOULD NOT STOP. THERE WAS NO ACCIDENTS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHO INDICATED THAT THE MAIN BRAIN OF THE CRUISE CONTROL UNIT FAILED. *NLM
WHILE DRIVING THE ACCELERATION PEDAL STUCK AND CAUSED THE VEHICLE TO SURGE FORWARD AT A RAPID SPEED. *NLM
THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS TURNED ON BY THEMSELVES WHICH OBSTRUCTED THE DRIVERS VIEW. *NLM
WHILE DRIVING THE VEHICLE STALLED WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TOT HE DEALER WHERE THEY REPROGRAMMED THE PCM AND REPLACED THE IAC VALVE. THE CONSUMER PAID FOR THE REPAIRS OUT OF POCKET BECAUSE THE WARRANTY EXPIRED AND THE VEHICLE WAS NOT PAR OF RECALL 00V395. THE CONSUMER COULD NOT BE REIMBURSED FOR THE REPAIRS. *CB *NLM
COMPLAINT AGAINST FORD MOTOR COMPANY DEFECTIVE PARTS AND REFUSAL OF A REFUND EVEN AFTER RECALL. *MR THE STEERING HAD BECOME UNCONTROLLABLE AND THE VEHICLE DIED OUT. THE PCM HAD TO BE REPROGRAMMED ALONG WITH THE REPLACEMENT OF THE IAC VALVE. THE SAME THING HAPPENED TO THE CONSUMER'S BROTHER'S SUV AS WELL. *SCC *JB
VEHICLE SHUT OFF WITHOUT WARNING.*MR WHILE ATTEMPTING TO MERGE INTO TRAFFIC, THE VEHICLE MADE A GRINDING NOISE AND DID NOT MOVE. THERE WAS NO WARNING LIGHTS INDICATING THERE WAS A PROBLEM. *TS. THE DEALER INFORMED THE CONSUMER THE TRANSMISSION HAD EXPERIENCED AN INTERNAL FAILURE.*JB
CONSUMER STATES THAT REAR WINDSHIELD WIPER OPERATED POORLY AFTER A PART WAS REPLACED.*AK
ALL FOUR ROTORS WERE REPLACED AT 20,000 MILES CAUSING VEHICLE TO SHUTTER WHEN BRAKING. DEALER NOTIFIED, AND REPLACED AT NO COST. CURRENTLY AT 40,000 MILES THE ROTORS AND THE CALIPERS HAVE TO BE REPLACED AGAIN, CAUSING A GRINDING SOUND WHEN BRAKING.*AK VEHICLE AT THE DEALER.*AK
THERE WERE PROBLEMS WITH THE BACK SEAT AS FAR AS NOT HAVING THE TETHER POINTS WHERE BOOSTER SEAT COULD BE SECURELY FIT INTO THE SEAT(S). THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED, AND STATED THAT THEY WILL NOT BE ABLE TO FIND ANY SOLUTION FOR THE CONSUMER. THE DEALER WAS CONTACTED, AND STATED THAT THE ONLY THING THAT THEY COULD SUGGEST WAS TO PURCHASE A NEW VEHICLE. *AK *SCC
WHILE DRIVING, A GRINDING NOISE CAN BE HEARD AND THE BRAKE PEDAL HAS TO DEPRESSED ALMOST DOWN TO THE FLOOR TO STOP THE VEHICLE. THE DEALER HAS ATTEMPTED TO REPAIR THE BRAKES SIX TIMES; CAUSE OF PROBLEM HAS NOT BEEN DETERMINED. PLEASE PROVIDE FURTHER DETAILS.
WHILE DRIVING DRIVER'S SEAT FELL ALL THE WAY BACK AND INJURED THE DRIVERS' BACK. CONSUMER RECEIVED RECALL NOTICE 03V28100 FOR THIS PROBLEM AFTER THE INCIDENT. BUT DEALER REFUSED T0 HONOR RECALL.*AK
FRONT RIGHT REPLACEMENT TIRE FOR THE FIRESTONE RECALL 01 X 001 000, EXPERIENCED TREAD SEPARATION. THIS OCCURRED WHILE DRIVING AT 56 MPH, WHICH CAUSED LOSS OF CONTROL. THE VEHICLE IMPACTED THE MEDIUM.*AK
PROBLEMS WITH WINDSHIELD WIPERS, BRAKE LIGHTS, SEAT HANDLES, INTERIOR LIGHTS AND DOOR LOCKS.*MR REAR WINDSHIELD WIPERS DO NOT WORK. BOTH SEAT HANDLES BROKE OFF. INTERIOR LIGHTS REMAIN ON, BRAKE LIGHTS ARE REPLACED TWICE A WEEK. DOOR DOES NOT UNLOCK PROPERLY.*TS
CONSUMER STATED WHILE TRAVELING DASH INDICATOR PANEL AIR BAG INDICATOR WOULD FLASH THROUGHOUT TRAVEL. DEALER HAD BEEN CONTACTED. *AK
OWNER RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE, AND TOOK THE VEHICLE TO DEALERSHIP. TO INSTALL BOLTS FOR THE RECLINING SEAT MECHANISM, WHICH WAS PART OF THE RECALL. HOWEVER, DEALER DECLINED TO DO REPAIRS BECAUSE VEHICLE WAS DIAGNOSED WITH A BROKEN SEAT FRAME. OWNER WAS TOLD HE WOULD HAVE TO PAY FOR BROKEN SEAT FRAME REPAIRS. *AK
VEHICLE WAS INVOLVED IN A MINOR SIDE COLLISION WHILE DRIVING AT 15 MPH. UPON IMPACT, VEHICLE ROLLED OVER. DRIVER SUSTAINED INJURIES FROM BROKEN WINDOW GLASS.*AK
SIDE VIEW MIRROR FILM IS WARPED CAUSING IT HARD TO SEE OUT OF SIDE VIEW MIRROR EQUIPMENT.*MR CONSUMER COULD NO LONGER USE THE SIDE VIEW MIRRORS. SHE HAD TO RESULT TO LOOKING BEHIND HER AND DIDN'T FEEL SAFE DOING THIS. ONE GUY SHE SPOKE WITH AT A FORD BODY SHOP HAD THE SAME PROBLEM WITH HIS EXPLORER. CONSUMER THOUGHT THE REPAIR WOULD BE APPROX. $200. DOLLARS BUT HE INFORMED HER IT WOULD BE MORE LIKE $250. DOLLARS. CONSUMER NOTED SHE WOULD PAY FOR THE REPAIRS BUT FEEL SHE SHOULDN'T HAVE TO BECAUSE THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE. *PH
THE CRUISE CONTROL WOULD NOT STAY SET AT DESIRED SPEED. THE VEHICLE KEPT ACCELERATING ALTHOUGH THE ACCELERATOR WAS NOT APPLIED. *AK WHEN THE CRUISE WAS AT 70 MPH, THE VEHICLE ON AN OCCASION WOULD CONTINUE TO ACCELERATE. *SC *JB
STEERING VERY UNSTABLE?.......HAVE TO STRUGGLE TO KEEP VEHICLE ON THE ROAD WHEN THERE ARE PAVEMENT PROBLEMS SUCH AS CRACKS AND CREVICES, ETC..... HAVE NEVER DRIVEN A VEHICLE WITH THIS PROBLEM BEFORE AND HAVE DRIVEN QUITE A FEW CARS..DIDNT NOTICE IT UNTIL AFTER THE MILEAGE METER GOT TO 54,000 MARK...... ALSO HAVE READ THE DEATH RATING IN 40 MPH CRASHES WAS MUCH HIGHER THAN USUAL AT CRASH TEST. COM......WHY??????
THE DRIVER'S SEAT BACK RECLINED WHILE DRIVING. THE DEALER REPLACED THE BOLT. THE CONSUMER STATED AFTER THE VEHICLE WAS PICKED UP, THE SEAT BACK CONTINUED TO RECLINE. *JB

THE VEHICLE EXPERIENCED PROBLEMS WITH THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS WHICH WORKED INTERMITTENTLY. PROVIDE FURTHER DETAILS. *JB
AT 40,000 MILES AIR BAG WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED WHILE DRIVING. AIR BAG WARNING INDICATOR CONTINUED TO ILLUMINATE, AND WOULD NOT TURN OFF. THE CAUSE OF THE PROBLEM HAD NOT BEEN DETERMINED. *AK
VEHICLE'S SEAT BOLT RECALLED, AND THE SEAT BACK COLLAPSED UNEXPECTEDLY. *LA THE DEALERSHIP INFORMED THE CONSUMER THAT THE PROBLEM HE EXPERIENCED WITH THE SEAT WAS NOT THE RECALLED PART, BUT INSTEAD A SAT BACK FRAME THAT BROKE. *JB
WHEN VEHICLE IS IN PARK ON A INCLINE WITH THE ENGINE OFF VEHICLE WILL NOT START. *AK
RECALL# 03V281000 SUBJECT: HIGH BACK SEATS. THE DEALER INFORMED THE CONSUMER THAT THE RECALL REPAIR COULD NOT BE DONE BECAUSE THEY WAITED TOO LONG TO BRING THE VEHICLE IN FOR REPAIR/REPLACEMENT. *JB
WHILE DRIVING CONSUMER NOTICED THAT CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ILLUMINATED AND STAYED ON DURING THE DURATION OF THE DRIVE. TECHNICIAN REPLACED A CRACKED ENGINE HEAD/HEATER CORE/FOUR DIFFERENT SPARKS PLUGS/ GASKETS, AND FILLED AND CHANGED THE OIL. *AK
WHILE DRIVING 60 MPH CONSUMER HEARD A LOUD NOISE COMING FROM THE REAR. CONSUMER NOTICED THAT THE REAR WINDOW BROKE. CONSUMER CONTACTED THE DEALER, AND THE DEALER INFORMED CONSUMER THAT A NEW WINDOW WOULD TO BE REPLACED. *AK
