CHANGED FLUID AND FOUND COURSE ALUMINUM SHAVINGS IN PAN, BUT ONLY EXTREMELY FINE FERROUS METAL PARTICLES ON MAGNET. AFTER INITIAL FLUID CHANGES(I HAVE DONE SEVERAL) THE TRANSMISSION OPERATES SMOOTHLY FOR ABOUT THE FIRST 20 TO 30 MILES THEN BEGINS SHIFTING HARSH AGAIN. *AK

BOUGHT A USED FORD F-150 EQUIPPED WITH WILDERNESS AT'S. STEERING PULLED TO THE RIGHT. ON 7-13-00, TOOK IT TO HAVE THE FRONT END ALLIGNED. WAS TOLD THE TRUCK WOULD NEVER DRIVE RIGHT WITH THOSE TIRES. A MONTH LATER FIRESTONE RECALLS BUT NOT THE TIRES I HAVE. NOW FIRESTONE IS REPLACING RECALLS WITH THE SAME BAD TIRES THAT I AM STUCK WITH.( DOT NUMBER: W2HLIPY347 TIRE SIZE: 23575R15 )

CONSUMER CALLED COMPLAINING ABOUT FUEL SYSTEM PROBLEMS.ALSO STATED THAT WHILE STANDING IN THE VEHICLE AND THE VEHICLE WAS RUNNING WITH AIR CONDITIONING ON GASOLINE HAD LEAKED ALL OVER THE FLOOR. MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED, AND STATED THAT THEY WON'T FIX THE VEHICLE BECAUSE THERE WAS NO RECALLS, AND BECAUSE THE VEHICLE HAD NO WARRANTY. CONSUMER HAD REPLACE THE FUEL TANK THREE TIMES SO FAR.*AK
