CONSUMER EXPERIENCED HIGH ACCELERATION WHILE DRIVING. THROTTLE CABLE GOT HOOKED ON SOMETHING, CAUSING GAS PEDAL TO STAY OPEN, CAUSING OUTER CONTROL SPEED. DEALER NOTIFED. *AK
LUG NUTS FAILURE.
SUDDEN ACCELERATION EXPERIENCED.
GAS RAIL LEAKS ONTO THE MANIFOLD OF THE ENGINE. ALSO, THE "O" RINGS HARDEN AND THE GAS JUST STARTS LEAKING OUT AND VEHICLE OVERHEATED. CONSUMER CONTACTED THE DEALER, AND THEY TOLD HIM IT WAS OUT OF WARRANTY. THE CONSUMER WOULD HAVE TO PAY FOR THE REPAIRS. *AK
THROTTLE UNABLE TO RETURN TO IDLE DUE TO ICE FORMING IN THROTTLE BODY. *BF RECALL CAMPAIGN; ID NUMBER : 98V007000. THE CONSUMER STATED THAT HE IS HAVING TROUBLE WITH THE CRUISE CONTROL NOT TURNING OFF WHEN HE PRESSES ON THE BRAKE PEDAL OR HIT THE OFF BUTTON. *TC *JB

1998 FORD F-150 FUEL TANK FAILURE. CONSUMER STATES THAT THE FUEL TANK FELL FROM BENEATH THE VEHICLE WHILE BACKING OUT OF HIS GARAGE. HE STATED THAT BOTH THE STRUTS HOLDING THE FUEL TANK IN PLACE BROKE. *KB
1998 FORD F150. CONSUMER COMPLAINT ABOUT FORD RECALL. CONSUMER STATES THAT HE HAS BEEN TRYING TO REACH SOMEONE AT FORD ON THE PHONE AND HAS BEEN UNSUCCESSFUL. HE BELIEVES THAT THERE SHOULD BE A REAL PERSON TO ANSWER THE PHONE NOT A MACHINE. *KB
1998 FORD F-150 MUFFLER BOLTS SHEARED OFF ON BOTH SIDES. CONSUMER STATES THAT THE MUFFLER BOLTS CAME OFF OF THE ENGINE SIDES. *NJ THE CONSUMER STATED THE TRANSMISSION WAS REPLACED AT 90,866 MILES, AND THE REAR WHEEL BEARING WAS REPLACED. *JB
WHILE DRIVING FRONT TORSION BAR BROKE ALMOST RESULTING IN COLLISION DUE TO LOSS OF CONTROL. MJS
WHILE DRIVNG VEHICLE AT 63-68 MPH THERE IS VIBRATION IN ENGINE COMPARTMENT. DEALER STATED NEW VEHICLES WITH TRYTON ENGINE HAVE THESE PROBLEMS. CAUSE HAS NOT BEEN CORRECTED. *AK
PASSENGER WAS BLINDED IN ONE EYE DUE TO VIOLENT DEPLOYMENT OF AIR BAG DURING COLLISION.
DEALER REPLACED DEFECTIVE ALUMINUM RIM. BRAKING PEDAL EFFORT IS EXCESSIVE UNDER NORMAL CONDITIONS. APPLIED BRAKES IN WET CONDITIONS, VEHICLE FAILED TO STOP IN TIME.
ARM REST ON THE 60/40 BENCH SEAT FLIPS UP ALL THE TIME.
WINDSHIELD PROBLEMS.
THERE IS A BLIND SPOT WHEN TURNING HEAD TO THE LEFT TO SEE IF THERE IS ANY TRAFFIC ON THAT SIDE. THIS BLIND SPOT ALMOST CAUSED A VEHICLE CRASH. *AK

LOCATION OF THE 4WD SWITCH IS NEAR A/C FAN SPEED SWITCH RESULTING IN ACCIDENTAL ACTIVATION.
WHILE DRIVING THE VEHICLE CONSUMER TRIED TO MAKE A SUDDEN STOP BY DEPRESSING THE BRAKE PEDAL TO THE FLOORBOARD, THE VEHICLE SLOWLY CAME TO A STOP. CONSUMER CONTACTED DEALER.*AK
WHEN THE DEFROSTER AND HEATER ARE ACTIVATED FUMES ENTER VEHICLE, BURNING OCCUPANT'S EYES.
UNKNOWN RATTLING COMING FROM UNDERNEATH HOOD THROUGH THE STEERING SHAFT. BRADY BUSHEY FORD/JEEP/EAGLE INSPECTED THE TRUCK AFTER DEFECT REOCCURRED WHILE AT DEALERSHIP, AND REPLACED THE PITMAN ARM. PROBLEM STILL EXISTS WITH CAUSE STILL UNKNOWN. PLEASE DESCRIBE DETAILS. *AK
REAR END JUMPS OUT OF CONTROL WHEN DRIVING OVER BUMPY SURFACES.

FLOOR MAT STICKS UNDERNEATH ACCELERATOR PEDAL, CAUSING THE PEDAL TO STICK TO FLOOR. VEHICLE LOST CONTROL, RAN INTO DITCH. *AK
IT APPEARS THAT A FUEL LINE ON THE REAR DRIVER'S SIDE NEAR REAR AXLE HAS A PIECE OF RUBBER MISSING FROM IT. THE LINE RUNS NEAR DRIVER'S REAR BRAKE LINE. *AK
WHILE DRIVING FRONT PASSENGER'S SIDE WHEEL LUGS: NUTS CAME OFF, CAUSING DRIVER TO LOSE CONTROL OF VEHICLE. *AK
CONSUMER WAS INVOLVED IN A 35 MPH FRONTAL COLLISION, AND THE DRIVER'S AND PASSENGER'S AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. PLEASE GIVE ANY FURTHER DETAILS. *AK
PIECES OF RUBBER MISSING FROM FIRST GROOVE ON ALL FOUR TIRES. TIRES WERE LIKE THIS AT TIME OF PURCHASE. GOODYEAR SAYS NOTHING IS WRONG, DEALER SAYS THEY ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE. TIRES ARE P275/60R-17 BSW ALL SEASON TIRES.
CONSUMER HAS ABS BRAKES. BRAKE FAILURE OCCURRED TWICE IN RAINY CONDITIONS IN WHICH THE BRAKE PEDAL WENT TO FLOOR OF VEHICLE, CAUSING VEHICLE NOT TO STOP. ALSO, VEHICLE HAS NO CONTROL WHEN BRAKES ARE APPLIED. PROBLEM IS INTERMITTENT. DEALERS CANNOT FIND A PROBLEM. *AK
SERPINTINE BELT BROKE, CAUSING LOSS OF CONTROL AND STEERING. COULD HAVE RESULTED IN AN ACCIDENT, DEALER HAS REPLACED BELT 3 TIMES, DEFECT IS STILL OCCURRING. *AK
SUSPENSION MALFUNCTION.
VEHICLE EXPERIENCES EXTREME VIBRATION ON CONCRETE HIGHWAYS GOING AT HIGH SPEEDS RESULTING IN DIFFICULTY IN MAINTAINING CONTROL OVER VEHICLE.
ARM REST CONTAINS DRINK RECEPTACLE, WHEN LEANING ON THE BACK OF THE ARM REST TO REACH INTO BACK SEAT THE ARM REST FLIPS UP, DUE TO DESIGN FLAW.
SEAL LEAK IN THE REAR WINDOW.
LOWER REAR LEAF SPRING MOVING OUT OF POSTION. THIS WAS A RECALL ON FORDS 4 WHEEL DRIVE PICKUP BUT NOT ON THE STANDARD 2 WHEEL DRIVE. THE SPRING WAS FIXED THE FIRST TIME BUY IT BEING KNOCKED BACK IN PLACE WITH A HAMMER. I HAVE YET HAD IT FIXED A SECOUND TIME. THE FIRST TIME THE SPRING MOVED OUT OF PLACE ABOUT 3
WHEN DRIVING 50 TO 60MPH THE VEHICLE MAKES EXCESSIVE WIND NOISE AROUND THE DOOR AND CAB AREA. DEALER SAYS IT'S NORMAL. *AK
CONSUMER RECEIVED RECALL LETTER CONCERNING A PROBLEM WITH THE LUGS: NUTS. CONTACTED THE DEALER, NO PARTS AVAILABLE TO REMEDY THE PROBLEM. DEALER STATES THE PARTS ARE ON A FIRST COME FIRST SERVED BASIS. RECALL NUMBER 98V095000, PLEASE GIVE ANY FURTHER DETAILS. *AK
WHILE TOWING A 19' TRAVEL TRAILER, THE TRAILER FISHTAILED WILDLY CAUSING VEHICLE TO LOSE CONTROL AND FLIP TRAILER. I HAD TOWED THE TRAILER A PREVIOUS 5 YEARS WITHOUT INCIDENT. THIS WRECK OCCURRED ONLY 2 MONTHS AFTER PURCHASING THIS VEHICLE. NOT SURE AT THIS TIME IF IT INDEED WAS THE TRUCK OR NOT.
TRANSMISSION FAILED RESULTING IN THE VEHICLE NOT CHANGING GEARS.
LEAF SPRING NOT STABLE AND MOVING OUT OF ALIGNMENT AND NEEDS REPLACEMENT.
RECALL # 98V095000, WHEEL LUGS: NUTS; RECALL HAS NOT BEEN DONE TO THIS VEHICLE BECAUSE OF NO PARTS. AS STATED IN THE RECALL, FAILURE CAN CAUSE LOSS VEHICLE CONTROL AND ACCIDENT. *AK
WHILE DRIVING OR PROCEEDING TO TURN A CORNER THE VEHICLE WILL STALL, AND COMPLETELY SHUT DOWN WITHOUT WARNING. PLEASE GIVE ANY FURTHER DETAILS. *AK
REAR SEAT BELTS NOT COMPATIBLE WITH SAFE INSTALLATION OF CHILD SAFETY SEATS
ACCELERATOR PEDAL HAS A KNOB THAT WEARS INTO THE FLOOR MAT, CAUSING THE PEDAL TO SOMETIMES STICK TO THE FLOOR. DEALER HAS REPLACED FLOOR MAT AND PROBLEM STILL EXISTS. *AK
WHEN APPLYING THE ACCELERATOR, THE PEDAL STUCK AND CAUSED THE DRIVER TO RUN INTO A FENCE. DEALER COULD FIND NO CAUSE FOR FAILURE. *AK
WHILE DRIVING FRONT END OF THE VEHICLE JUST DROPPED BECAUSE THE TORSION BAR BROKE IN HALF. THE BAR NEEDS TO BE REPLACED DUE TO THE COLD WEATHER. *AK
