LOTS OF WIND NOISE, TIRES OUT OF ROUND
I WAS TRYING TO AVOID REAR ENDING THE CAR IN FRONT OF ME BECAUSE TRAFFIC HAD COME TO AN ABRUPT STOP, SO I JERKED MY TRUCK TO THE RIGHT AS HARD AS I COULD. I COULD NOT STEER OUT OF IT BECAUSE THE STEERING BOX BROKE. I HIT THE CAR IN FRONT OF ME ON HIS RIGHT REAR BUMPER WITH MY LEFT FRONT BUMPER. RON BLACKWELL FORD'S HEAD MECHANIC SAID THE STEERING BOX BREAKING IS A SAFETY FEATURE. I HAVE NEVER HEARD OF SUCH A THING. I DON'T BELIEVE THAT HITTING A CAR AT 30 MPH SHOULD MAKE THE STEERING BOX BREAK. THE ONLY DAMAGE DONE TO MY TRUCK WAS ON THE LEFT SIDE OF MY BUMPER. THE HEADLIGHT WASN'T EVEN BROKE. I THINK IT BROKE FROM THE EXTREME PRESSURE OF TURNING IT SO HARD TRYING TO AVOID A COLLISION NOT FROM HITTING THE CAR.

WHILE DRIVING THROTTLE HAD MALFUNCTIONED DUE TO FAILURE OF SOLENOID, CAUSING TRUCK TO CONTINUE FORWARD WHILE APPLYING BRAKES. *AK *ML
INTERMITTANT FAILURE OF THE POWER CONTROL MODULE CAUSES ENGINE FAILURE AT HIGHWAY SPEED WITH NO WARNING. COMPLETE POWER LOSS RENDERS STERRING/BRAKES INOPERATIVE. *AK
WHILE CHILDREN WERE CLOSING REAR WINDOW WITH FROST ON IT, WINDOW SHATTERED, AND GLASS FELL ON CHILDRENS' FACES. THERE WERE NO INJURIES. OWNER CONCERNED ABOUT THE THICKNESS OF THE GLASS AND ITS ABILITY TO HANDLE DIFFERENT TEMPERATURES. *AK *ML
ALL FOUR BRAKES WEAR OUT WITHIN 3000 MILES. BRAKES HAVE BEEN REPLACED ON 5 DIFFERENT OCCASIONS UNDER WARRANTY. DEALER REQUESTED BUYBACK FROM MANUFACTURER BUT WAS DENIED.*AK
INTERMITTENTLY BRAKES WILL NOT STOP VEHICLE. BRAKING SYSTEM HAS BEEN REPLACED TO REMEDY PROBLEMS. TWICE IN A 3- MONTH PERIOD ROTORS HAVE BEEN CHANGED. FORD AGREED THERE WAS A PROBLEM WITH ABS SYSTEM, AND WAS TRYING TO ACCOMMODATE CONSUMER.*AK
STEERING WHEEL VIBRATES WHEN TURNING LEFT OR RIGHT. *AK
HEADLIGHT SWITCH: DEFECTIVE HEADLIGHT SWITCH CAUSES INTERMENTANT LOSS OF INSTRUMENT LIGHTS AND ODOMETER DISPLAY, OTHER MORE SERIOUS PROBLEM LOSS OF HEADLIGHTS, TAIL LIGHTS AND MARKER LAMPS. HEADLIGHTS MAY ALSO REMAIN ON EVEN WHEN THE SWITCH HAS BEEN TURNED TO THE OFF POSITION. *AK
WHILE DRIVING AT APPROXIMATELY 55 MPH HIT ANOTHER VEHICLE WITH THE FRONT END. UPON IMPACT, DUAL AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY, CAUSING BRUISES. SEAT BELTS WERE WORN . PLEASE PROVIDE FURTHER INFORMATION. *AK
WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY TRAVELLING 65MPH, CHILD WAS ABLE TO REACH OVER AND UNLOCK THE PASSENGER'S DOOR. CONTACTED DEALER, AND HE WAS NOT ABLE TO FIX THE PROBLEM. OWNER WAS TOLD THAT IF HE WANTED THE WORK DONE, HE WOULD HAVE TO GET THE VEHICLE MODIFIED BY A LOCAL REPAIR SHOP. *AK *ML
VEHICLE EXPERIENCED A FIRE WHILE CONSUMER'S SON WAS FILLING THE FUEL TANK AT A GAS STATION. LOCAL FIRE DEPARTMENT ARRIVED AND EXTINGUISHED THE FIRE. FIRE DEPARTMENT INFORMED CONSUMER THAT STATIC ELECTRICITY MAY HAVE BEEN THE CAUSE OF THE FIRE. INSURANCE NOTIFIED. *AK
WHILE DRIVING THROTTLE MALFUNCTIONED, CAUSING SUDDEN ACCELERATION. DRIVER HAD TO PRESS DOWN THE BRAKES IN ORDER TO STOP VEHICLE. THIS MAY HAVE CAUSED A CRASH. ALSO, PROBLEMS WITH THE TRANSMISSION SYSTEM. AFTER TAKEN IN TO THE DEALER, DEALER CLAIMED THAT NO ADJUSTMENTS WERE NEEDED, THE FLOOR MATS WERE CAUSING THE PROBLEM. CONSUMER BELIEVES THAT ADJUSTMENTS WERE MADE HOWEVER, BECAUSE VEHICLE SHIFTS MUCH BETTER NOW. *AK *ML

VEHICLE EXPERIENCING SEVERE PROBLEM WITH WANDERING ACROSS THE ROAD FROM 30 MPH. MORE VEHICLE ACCELERATES HARDER IT BECOMES TO CONTROL. VEHICLE BEEN IN DEALER SHOP ON FOUR OCCASIONS, AND PROBLEM STILL GOES UNRESOLVED.*AK
WHILE DRIVING AT 40 MPH THE AIR BAG DEPLOYED WITHOUT WARNING, CAUSING AN ACCIDENT. DEALER HAS NOT BEEN CONTACTED. *AK *ML
THE STICK RATTLES LIKE A SNAKE-TAIL IN 2@3 GEARS MOSTLY,AT 3K-RPM: MACHANICS SAY,THIS IS NORMAL...HUH?
MY TRUCK DISPLAYS AN IDLE VIBRATION THROUGHOUT THE CHASIS, I HAVE HAD IT TO THE DEALER 5 TIMES AND THEY HAVE NO FIXED IT, AND NOW ARE SAYING THAT IT IS NORMAL *AK
CONSUMER WAS TRAVELING ABOUT 15MPH ON SIDE STREET AND THERE WAS SNOW ON GROUND, HE WENT TO APPLY BRAKES, AND BRAKES LOCKED UP. VEHICLE SKIDDED, AND HIT A GUARDRAIL. CONSUMER WASN'T INJURED, AND FORD WAS NOTIFIED. *AK
THERE ARE TWO SITUATIONS: #1: MULTIPLE REAR SPRING FAILURES ON SEVERAL F150 S-CAB 4WD VEHICLES FROM 1995 THRU 2000 BUILD DATE. THE MAIN LEAF CRACKS AT AXLE SPRING PERCH RESULTING IN A PUNCTURE OF BED FLOOR ON SOME INCIDENTS. ALL REQUIRING SPRING REPLACEMENT AND RECENTLY REPAIRED BY USING AFTER MARKET HEAVY DUTY SPRINGS ON BOTH SIDES. #2: MULTIPLE VEHICLES ALSO EXPERIENCED FRONT FENDER ALIGNMENT CHANGE RESULTING IN FRONT DOOR FORWARD EDGE BINDING. NOT CAUSED BY FRONT BUMPER OR FENDER IMPACT. SEVERAL OCCASIONS OF SEVERE BIND RESULTING IN DOOR SKIN AND FORWARD LIP DAMAGE WHEN DOOR WAS FORCED OPEN TO ALLOW EGRESS OF OPERATOR. REPAIRS WERE MADE BY REALIGNING FRONT FENDER ASSEMBLY AND SOME DOOR HINGES NEEDED REPLACEMENT DUE TO DISTORTION CAUSED WHEN DOOR WAS FORCED OPEN AGAINST THE REAR EDGE OF OFFENDING FENDER. NO COSMETIC REPAIRS HAVE BEEN DONE SO THE DOOR FORWARD EDGES AND FENDER REAR EDGES REMAIN SEVERELY BENT BUT CLEARANCE IS ADEQUATE TO PREVENT BINDING AFTER REPAIRS ARE DONE. NOTE: THESE VEHICLES ARE OPERATED OFF-ROAD AND ON GRADED GRAVEL ROADS ON KAHO`OLAWE ISLAND AS PART OF MIXED FLEET OF VEHICLES IN SUPPORT OF UNEXPLORED ORDINANCE CLEARANCE ON THE FORMER NAVAL GUNFIRE AND BOMBING RANGE. TO DATE WE HAVE EXPERIENCED NO SIMILAR PROBLEMS WITH ANY OF THE 30 OR SO 1985 TO 1986 CHEVY PICK-UPS USED IN IDENTICAL MANNER AND NO VEHICLES WERE OVER-LOADED USUALLY CARRYING ONLY ONE TO THREE PASSENGERS AND HAND-CARRIED GEAR IN THE BED. WE SUSPECT THAT SEVERE SPRING WRAP CAN OCCUR WHEN TORQUE TRANSMITTED BY THE LIMITED SLIP DIFFERENTIAL IS CHANGED FROM TIRE TO TIRE. ALL VEHICLES ARE V-8 AUTO-TRANSMISSION (GASOLINE FUELED FORDS AND DIESEL FUELED CHEVYS). *LA

ON GOING PROBLEM WITH THE VEHICLE VIBRATING. THE CONSUMER STATED AFTER DISENGAGING THE EMERGENCY BRAKES ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS AND THEN PROCEEDED TO DRIVE FOR 10 MILES OR MORE, THE VEHICLE VIBRATED WHEN THE BRAKES APPLIED. THE VEHICLE HAD SOME REPAIRS MADE ON THE THREE OCCASIONS AT THE DEALER BUT THE PROBLEM CONTINUED. PLEASE PROVIDE ANY FURTHER INFORMATION. *AK *MR
SEAT BELT ANCHORS FAILED TO BE BOLTED TO FLOOR IN THE CENTER POSITION, PROPERLY. THE SEAT BELT CAN BE LOCKED, BUT THE ANCHOR SUPPORTS ARE NOT SECURED. TAKING VEHICLE BACK TO DEALER FOR REPAIRS. *AK
2000 FORD TRUCK EXCURSION; WHILE DRIVING 30 MPH HAD A DIRECT FRONTAL IMPACT, AN DRIVER'S/PASSENGER'S AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY, WHICH DID NOT PROTECT THE OCCUPANT IN THIS CRASH. DEALER WAS NOT WILLING TO FIND THE CAUSE OF THE PROBLEM. PLEASE PROVIDE FURTHER INFORMATION. *AK
VEHICLE BODY BOUNCED AT 43 MPH ON SMOOTH ROAD. FLOOR/SEAT VIBRATED AND STEERING WHEEL SHIMMIED AT 68 TO 70 MPH ON SMOOTH INTERSTATE. DID NOT OCCUR ALL THE TIME. DEALER BALANCED WHEELS AND TIRES AND THEN REPLACED WHEELS AND TIRES BUT THIS DID NOT FIX PROBLEM. ANOTHER DEALER BOUGHT VEHICLE BACK AND SOLD ME ANOTHER. NEW VEHICLE RUNS SMOOTH AS GLASS.
MY 2000 FORD F-150 THAT I BOUGHT NEW HAS RECALLS AND I WAS NEVER NOTIFIED BY FORD. BUT THEY GLADY TOOK MY MONEY EVERY MONTH. NOW THAT WE HAVE FORDS BURNING HOUSES DOWN I WONDER HOW MANY OWNERS KNOW ABOUT THAT!
2000 FORD 5.4L SPARK PLUG EJECTION FORD KNOWS OF THE PROBLEM' THEY SHOULD HAVE TO FIX THE FLAW. THIS HAPPENED TO MY WIFE AND CHILD WHILE DRIVING, SHE NEARLY DROVE OFF THE ROAD DUE TO THE LOUD NOISE AND LOSS OF POWER. *TR
The contact owns a 1991 N/A Ford F-150. The contact stated that after parking, turning the vehicle off, and exiting, the vehicle suddenly began to roll backwards. The contact was able to get back into the moving vehicle, press the brake pedal to stop the vehicle from moving. During the incident, the contact sustained a right shoulder injury that did not require medical treatment. The manufacturer and local dealer were not contacted. The VIN was not available. The failure mileage was 250.

THE CONDENSATION PROBLEM IS EXTREMELY SEVERE IF IT STARTS RAINING WHILE I AM DRIVING. I HAVE TO PULL OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD BECAUSE I LITERALLY CANNOT SEE OUT THE WINDOWS. I CONSIDER THIS TO BE A SAFETY HAZARD. THE DEALERSHIP IS UNWILLING TO HELP ME. I FEEL THE CAR SHOULD BE REPLACED BECAUSE I HAVE BEEN TO THE DEALERSHIP 8 TIMES AND THEY TELL ME THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH THE CAR, AND THAT I JUST NEED TO INSTALL AN AIR CONDITIONER. I BOUGHT A NEW F150 PICKUP FROM KORUM FORD AND AFTER A WEEK I NOTICED AN EXCESSIVE AMOUNT OF RUST ON THE UNDER CARRIAGE AND UNDER THE HOOD OF THE VEHICLE, I TOOK IT TO THE SERVICE MANAGER TO LOOK AT AND HE SAID IT WAS NORMAL, I DID NOT AGREE WITH HIM AND TOOK IT TO TWO OTHER DEALERS AND I WAS TOLD THAT A BRAND NEW VEHICLE SHOULD NOT HAVE THAT MUCH RUST ON IT AND SAID IT WAS EXCESSIVE. I TOOK THE TRUCK BACK TO KORUM AND TOLD THEM I DID NOT WANT THE VEHICLE FOR SAFETY REASONS AND THE AMOUNT OF RUST THAT WAS ON THIS VEHICLE. KORUM WANTS TO TREAT THE VEHICLE LIKE IT IS A USED VEHICLE AND MAKE ME PAY MORE MONEY TO SWAP FOR A VEHICLE WITH LESS OPTIONS. I BELIEVE THE AMOUNT OF RUST THAT IS ON THE VEHICLE NOW WILL PREMATURELY WEAKEN THE VEHICLES PARTS AND I WILL NOT GET THE FULL USE OF THE VEHICLES LIFE WITH OUT TAKING MORE MONEY OUT OF MY POCKET. *AK
BOLT ON THE DRIVER'S SIDE LOWER CONTROL ARM IS LOOSE BECAUSE THE WHOLE IS TO BIG FOR THE BOLT, CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO SWAY. DEALER HAS BEEN NOTIFIED.*AK
VEHICLE WILL BEGIN TO HONK AND THEN IT STALLOUT WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD. SOMETIMES VEHICLE WILL START BACKING UP, AND SOMETIMES IT WILL NOT.DEALER CANNOT DETERMINE CAUSE. COMPUTER HAS BEEN REPLACED AND WIRING HAS BEEN REPAIRED, BUT DEFECT STILLS OCCURS. *AK
THE DRIVER SEAT IS DEFINITELY THE VERY WORST QUALITY SEAT I HAVE SEEN IN A VEHICLE. THERE IS NOT ENOUGH SUPPORT TO KEEP YOU FROM FEELING AS THOUGH YOU WILL FALL OUT THE DOOR. WHEN DRIVING STRAIGHT, THE LACK OF SUPPORT ON THE OUTER LEFT SIDE GIVES A FEELING THAT ONE IS LEANING OR TILTING TO THE LEFT AND YOUR ARE ACTUALLY NOT SITTING LEVEL. WHEN YOU TURN RIGHT, YOUR WEIGHT PUSHES ON THE SOFT FOAM MORE GIVING A WORSE SENSATION THAT YOU ARE TILTING. WHEN EXITING THE TRUCK, AS YOU PRESS ON THE SEAT TO GET OUT, YOU CAN FEEL THE PLASTIC TRIM AT THE SEAT BASE THROUGH THE SOFT FOAM. UNLESS YOU ARE VERY CAREFUL IN DRIVING, THE SOFTNESS IS SO BAD THAT IT INTERFERES WITH YOUR ABILITY TO STAY FIRMLY SEATED AND MAINTAIN CONTROL DURING SHARP TURNS.*AK
I HAVE BROUGHT THIS VEHICLE IN FOR REPAIR 5/6 TIMES, AND IT STILL ISN'T RIGHT!
MY CONCERN IS NOT WITH MY FORD MINI VAN...HOWEVER, IT IS WITH THE COURT SYSTEM THAT SUPPRESSES FULL DISCLOSURE OF LIABILITY CLAIMS. THIS IS AN EXAMPLE OF A DENIAL OF INFORMATION TO THE PUBLIC THAT RESULTED IN 100 PLUS FATALITIES, FIRESTONE/FORD AND OVER 200 FATALS WITH GM TRUCKS AND OUTER GAS TANKS... SOUNDS LIKE A SEVERE LEGAL GLITCH OUT THERE AND SAME SHOULD BE CLOSED, LESS PUBLIC CONFIDENCE IS ERODED IN YOUR OFFICE AND THE COURTS...*AK
