THE ENGINE RUNS VERY ROUGH AT IDLE AND OTHER TIMES DURING OPERATION, ITS LOSING COOLANT LEVEL AND SHOWS A MILKY WHITE RESIDUE IN THE OIL FILL CAP. DEALER SAYS THE MILKSHAKE STUFF IS NORMAL, NOT!!! DEALER SAYS LOSS OF COOLANT LEVEL IS NORMAL FROM ATMOSPHERIC CONDITIONS. DEALER SAYS THAT THESE 3.5L V6'S JUST NORMALLY RUN ROUGH. TRANSMISSION HESITATES AND PULSES WHEN PULLING A LOAD. RECENTLY I GET A LOAD SNAP/CLICK SOUND AT THE HEATER CONTROL. THIS TRUCK IS BRAND NEW AND FEELS LIKE AN OLD BEAT UP TRUCK. FORD GOT RID OF THE 3.5L V6 AND REPLACED IT WITH A NEW REVAMPED 3.7L V6. THEY COULDN'T FIX THE PROBLEMS WITH THE 3.5L V6 BUT WON'T FIX THOSE ISSUES WITH MINE AND OTHERS WHO ARE STUCK WITH A PROBLEMATIC ENGINE. THERE SHOULD BE A NATIONAL RECALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *TR
STUTTERING, LOSS OF POWER , BAD FUEL MILEAGE. *TR
WHILE TRAVELING IN RAIN ON THE HIGHWAY - OUTSIDE TEMP 40 DEG F / DEWPOINT 40 (THIS IS RELEVANT - THIS ISSUE OCCURS WHENEVER TEMP & DEW POINT ARE WITHIN 10 OF EACH OTHER FOR MANY OTHERS) AT 65MPH - I ATTEMPTED TO PASS A SLOWER MOVING VEHICLE. AFTER MY LANE CHANGE, I ATTEMPTED TO ACCELERATE & THE VEHICLE DOWNSHIFTED & REVVED HIGH FOR A SECOND AND THEN ILOST 90% OF MY ENGINES POWER, THE VEHICLE BEGAN TO SHUDDER & SHAKE AND A CHECK ENGINE LIGHT (CEL) BEGAN TO BLINK ON MY DASH. I WAS NEARLY HIT BE 2 FAST MOVING SEMI TRUCKS AS I TRIED TO CROSS 3 LANES OF TRAFFIC TO GET TO THE BERM WITH 0 ABILITY TO ACCELERATE ANY FURTHER. STOPPING & STARTING THE ENGINE MADE THE ISSUE GO AWAY. A SIMILAR EVEN OCCURRED THIS MORNING AS WELL BUT CLEARED ITSELF AFTER I LET OFF OF THE GAS. I HAVE HEARD NUMEROUS REPORTS OF THIS ISSUE ON DIFFERENT F-150 FORUMS. THE ISSUE IS APPARENTLY TOO MUCH CONDENSATION IN THE ECOBOOST ENGINES TWIN TURBO INTERCOOLER (HENCE THE TEMP/DEW POINT CORRELATION). FORD HAS BEEN ATTEMPTING TO RESOLVE THIS FOR 3 YEARS NOW - AND JUST RELEASED A NEW TSB 12-10-19 WHICH I HOPE WILL RESOLVE IT. I HAVE HAD THE VEHICLE FOR 14 DAYS - AND IT SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN SOLD TO ME WITH THIS KNOWN DANGEROUS FAILURE POSSIBILITY BEING PRESENT. THE TSB IS BEING APPLIED TO MY VEHICLE TOMORROW & I HOPE IT WORKS. NUMEROUS OTHERS HAVE HAD DIFFERENT ATTEMPTS AT REPAIR & NONE HAVE MADE THE ISSUE PERMANENTLY GO AWAY. THIS IS A MAJOR SAFETY CONCERN. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 FORD F-150. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING 55 MPH, THE VEHICLE DECELERATED WITHOUT MANUAL FORCE WITH THE ILLUMINATION OF THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT. THE FAILURE RECURRED ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS. THE VEHICLE THE DEALER WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR DIAGNOSIS BUT THEY WERE UNABLE TO DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 200.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 FORD F-150. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING 50 MPH THE VEHICLE HESITATED AND STALLED ON MULTIPLE OCCASIONS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER WHO WAS UNABLE TO REPLICATE THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 350.
PULLING OUT TO MERGE INTO TRAFFIC ENGINE SHUT DOWN, ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON . NO POWER , ENGINE MISSING VERY BAD. PULL OVER TO SHOULDER KILL ENGINE WAIT AND RESTARTED. FORD SAID NO COMPUTER CODE CAME UP BUT RESET COMPUTER FOR TURBO. 2ND FORD F-150 WITH 3.5 ECOBOOST THAT HAS DONE THIS. *TR
ENGINE STOPS ON HARD ACCELERATION ALL MOST GOT HIT ON MORE THAN ONE OCCASION. *TR
HAD BEEN DRIVING IN RAIN ALL DAY. PULLED OUT TO PASS ON TWO LANE HIGHWAY AND CHECK ENGINE LIGHT STARTED FLASHING. ENGINE STARTED SPUTTERING AND STOPPED ACCELERATING. HAD TO PULL BACK BEHIND VEHICLE I WAS TRYING TO PASS. DEALER SAID I HAD SAME PROBLEM OTHER ECOBOOST OWNERS WERE HAVING AND REPLACED INTERCOOLER. IT DID NOT FIX PROBLEM AS IT HAS HAPPENED 3 MORE TIMES. DEALER SAID FORD WAS "WORKING ON A SOLUTION". I HAVE TO WAIT FOR RECALL AND JUST BE AWARE THAT PROBLEM COULD OCCUR IF CONDITIONS ARE RIGHT. *TR
SAID VEHICLE DOES NOT GET THE MILEAGE STATED ON WINDOW STICKER AND ADVERTISEMENTS. 2013 4X4 ECOBOOST STATES 15CITY/21HWY, IT DOES ONLY GET ABOUT 13-15MPG IN CITY, BUT ON HIGHWAY; AVERAGE IS ROUGHLY 17MPG, WHICH COMPARED TO THE STICKER IS A 4MPG DIFFERENCE. *TR
WHEN FIRST ACCELERATING EARLY IN THE MORNING THE TRUCK ACCELERATES SUDDENLY WHEN 1ST TAKING OFF. THIS REALLY BECAME A PROBLEM WHEN SOMEONE STEPPED IN FRONT OF ME, THE TRUCK TOOK OFF AND THEN I HAD TO STOP SUDDENLY. I HAVE REPORTED TO FORD AND TAKEN IT IN TWICE, BUT THEY INSIST NO ONE HAS HAD THIS PROBLEM. THE MOTOR'S RPM FLUCTUATES ABOUT 200-300, THEN SETTLES DOWN.THE VISIBILITY HAS BEEN A PROBLEM SINCE DAY ONE. FORD REPLACED THE WIPER BLADES, BUT THE PROBLEM IS STILL THERE. I HAVE BACK TO THE DEALER 3 TIMES AND ALL THEY SAY IS "WE CAN DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM". *TR
