This is the 2nd time this has happened in 2 years. I have my truck turned off completely and locked and go to get back in it a few hours later and I open my door and the gas from the airbag has completely filled up the cab of my 2015 f150. I turn the truck on and it’s like it’s been in a wreck, all the lights on the dash are on, and it’s saying my airbags are deployed which the gas that fills the airbag did deploy, and it keeps telling me to contact 911. How does this keep happening without ford making a recall or not taking responsibility. It could seriously hurt or I hurt me or my family.
The contact owns a 2015 Ford F-150. The contact stated that while his son was driving at an undisclosed speed, white smoke was coming from the base of the driver's seat belt clip. The contact stated that the air bags warning light illuminated with a message that the driver's side door was opened; however, the door was not open. The contact's son was able to safely pull the vehicle to the side of the road and the vehicle was towed back to the residence. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or the local dealer. The contact related the failure with an unknown recall; however, the manufacturer confirmed that the vehicle was not included in the recall. The contact was referred to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 191,845.
While sitting in my driveway getting ready to go to town, I pulled the seat belt to lock it into place when I hear a pop then the seat belt would not retract at all. It was as if the retractable spring broke. I left the truck sitting until I could get a replacement belt from Ford (450.00) to repair this safety issue. Had this belt failed in a collision it would have caused severe damage to the driver. This issue needs to be addressed before someone dies in an accident. There was no warning signs before this happened and I was very lucky it happened in my driveway and not on the highway.
The seat belt does not click into place it pops open .
The airbag cover on the steering wheel is separating/cracking along the mould lines and near the emblem.
The contact owns a 2015 Ford F-150. The contact stated that while driving approximately 45 MPH the braking system had malfunctioned and while pressing the brake pedal the vehicle did not stop causing the driver to lose control of the vehicle and crash into a ditch. The front end of the vehicle was damaged, but the air bags did not deploy. The driver sustained a right leg injury which did not require medical attention. The front passenger sustained a right knee injury and the rear driver's side passenger sustained and left shoulder injury, both required medical treatment. A police report was taken at the scene and the vehicle was able to be driven home. The cause of the failure was not determined. The manufacturer was notified of the failures. The local dealer was not contacted. The failure mileage was 130,000.
My airbags deployed while my truck was parked overnight. No known cause, no collision. Also when I put the keys in the truck all my dash lights were on no power steering. The truck is currently sitting at the dealership.
I started the the truck and the right siside airbags deployed
The contact owns a 2015 Ford F-150. The contact stated that soon after starting the vehicle, the passenger’s side curtain air bag deployed independently. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was then towed to a local dealer where the contact was informed that the air bag failure was related to corrosion located around the front passenger’s side kick pad area. Additionally, the contact was informed that the passenger’s side curtain air bag and the engine wiring harness and body harness needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired and remained at the dealer. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and a case opened. The approximate failure mileage was 85,000.
Moisture in a taillight housing of a 2015 Lariat F-150 caused the BLIS module and wiring harness to short out. The BLIS module is tied into multiple vehicle systems, and caused the following issues: Airbags turned off BLIS system turned off TPMS turned off Windows and door locks don't function Radio stuck in whatever setting it is in when faulted Air conditioning panel and all climate controls turn off During a road trip this happened. I was unable to egress the vehicle until I shut it off. It is summertime so the vehicle, without ac or the ability to control the windows, became very hot. I had kids in the car. Also, without airbags, window, and door control, if I were to crash the vehicle, I don't know if I could safely extract my family. The moisture in the taillight is a known issue, and is covered in GSB 22-7002, but I couldn't find a BLIS module GSB/TSB. However, the BLIS module failure is a known issue, and there are multiple diagnostic videos and write-ups describing this issue on YouTube and F-150 forums. This is a safety issue, and should promptly be addressed.
2015 F150 4d 4x4 traveling approximately 60 mph impacted a 2017 Toyota Sienna van on the driver’s side after it had impacted the center Jersey wall. F150 then impacted center Jersey wall on drivers side. None of the F150 air bags deployed.
I was driving 60 mph and a car pulled out in front of me causing me to Tbone the vehicle. Drivers Seat belt and airbag did not deploy causing me to hit the steering wheel then cracking my head on the wind shield. I bent the steering wheel gettin the force of the impacted and smashed the wind shield with my head causing my neck to bend. The accident has caused pain in my head, neck, left (hand, wrist, elbow, shoulder) right (hand, wrist) and chest that happen on 5/4/2022, in result of the safety mechanisms failing to properly work.
Experienced a head on collision with an animal at 74mph on route 93. Total damage to front end and air bags were not deployed. Injuries sustained

WAS DRIVING ON HIGHWAY, CRUISE SET AT 55MPH, CAME OVER A HILL TO A CAR STALLED IN THE ROAD. I COULDN'T STOP, BOTH VEHICLES DECLARED TOTAL LOSS. DIRECT HIT, FRONT OF MY 2105 F150 TO THE REAR END OF A FORD FOCUS, APPROXIMATELY 40MPH. SEATBELT TIGHTENED AND LOCKED UP, LEFT BRUISES ACROSS MY HIPS, AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. HIT MY FACE IN THE STEERING WHEEL, BRUISED KNEES ON DASH.
On September 13, 2020, my father was driving his 2015 Ford F150, with me in the passenger seat. We were hit in a high speed head-on collision on I-55/I-240 in Memphis, TN by an oncoming driver, which killed both my father (the driver), and the oncoming vehicle driver, and I was taken to the hospital with injuries in critical condition. My father was extracted from the vehicle and taken to the morgue, but when I was able to return to the truck at the impound lot, I found no drivers side airbag in the truck. While EMTs informed me that the airbag was cut, it was odd that the airbag was not still in the truck. His cause of death was blunt force trauma, and if the airbag did deploy, it would have had to have been a part of the immediate fatality. If it did not deploy, it would also have been a factor. On the passenger side, where I had been, all airbags were still attached, but cut in order to extract me. In the days immediately following the accident, my lip was swollen from hitting the airbag, but there was also a piece of shrapnel lodged in my lip, confirmed by XRay, which later came out. I am concerned about both my father's fatality, and how the airbag deployed and what role it played in the fatality, as well as the injury of shrapnel getting embedded in my lip. I believe that the airbag could be a contributing factor in both issues.
MY FATHER WAS INVOLVED IN A SINGLE VEHICLE ACCIDENT IN SEPTEMBER 2020, WHERE HE STRUCK A UTILITY POLE WITH THE FRONT DRIVER SIDE BUMPER ON HIS TRUCK, CAUSING THE POLE TO BREAK. HIS TRUCK WAS TRAVELING AROUND 55 MPH ON A STATE HIGHWAY, WHEN HE SUDDENLY HAD TO AVOID HITTING A TRUCK THAT BRAKED IN FRONT OF HIM, CAUSING MY FATHER TO SWERVE TO THE RIGHT. HIS TRUCK WENT THROUGH A DITCH BEFORE IT CAME TO A STOP WHEN IT STRUCK THE UTILITY POLE. THE AIR BAG IN THE STEERING WHEEL CAME OUT BUT FAILED TO INFLATE AND MY FATHER HIT HIS HEAD ON THE STEERING WHEEL. HE SUFFERED WITH INJURIES WHICH INCLUDED BLEEDING ON THE BRAIN AND HAD TO BE AIR LIFTED TO A TRAUMA HOSPITAL AND HAD TO BE PUT IN ICU!! HE'S STILL UNDER THE CARE OF HIS DOCTORS
THE AIRBAG LIGHT IS ILLUMINATED STEADY ON. IT BEGAN WITH THE LIGHT ONLY TURNING ON WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS IN WARM/HOT WEATHER. NOW, IT IS ON CONSISTENCY WITH EACH START. THE DEALER SAYS THERE IS A FAULT WITH THE SEATBELT AIRBAGS THAT WOULD INFLATE FROM THE SEATBELTS IN THE INSTANCE OF AN ACCIDENT. ALTHOUGH NO ACCIDENT HAS OCCURRED, THIS NOW REQUIRES FULL REPLACEMENT AT $1,000+ COST. *TR
I HAD A SIGNIFICANT FRONT END COLLISION AND THE AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. I WAS TRAVELING AT LEAST 70 MPH ON THE INTERSTATE WHEN I COLLIDED WITH ANOTHER VEHICLE.
