I was driving on a city street at about 30mph up a slight incline when the truck just seem to shut off. But it didn't die, the engine was still running but barely. It was running very rough, like miss firing on several cylinders. It would not accelerate, no change of engine sound or power, the throttle was totally unresponsive. It also felt as if the brakes were being applied slightly. A message came on the dash saying something about hill assist and another wrench message. I had no chose but to pull over in traffic before it quit. This was on or about July 18 then again today on July 26. This time I was one a city street down to one lane due to construction. I was barely able to make it to a turn off before it totally quit moving, with traffic backed up behind me. I shut off the engine to let the computer reboot and got a message that hill assist was now off. After a longer than normal crank time it started and ran ok. I called Stivers Ford to make an appointment and was told it was probably a fluke, and wait and see if it did it again. I now have an appointment for August 4 to have it checked. I went on Google after the first time and found many complaints about the same situations, but with no fixes. If this were to happen under the right circumstances it could be very serious. I'm a recently retired auto technician , and shop owner of 48 years. I understand the difficulty in finding intermittent failures. But after reading all the same symtoms in Ford pickups for years it seems there should be more done from the manufacturer to address this problem.
My 2015 Truck will occasionally lag in acceleration for no reason. It creates dangerous issues when going through intersections. It only has 56k miles . It should not be lagging like this by reasonable means.
Rear power windshield shattered while it was parked in the sun. We were on a hike and came back and the window was shattered. Temp was approximately 85 degrees. Rear bed cover was on and metal button was touching the window. Not sure what caused it to shatter
The contact owns a 2015 Ford F-150. The contact stated while driving 70 MPH, the vehicle downshifted from 6th gear to 5th gear and the engine revved up. The maintenance warning light illuminated. The contact continued to drive the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to a transmission specialist where it was diagnosed that the lead frame rain sensor had failed and needed to be replaced. The contact stated that the vehicle was repaired with an aftermarket part; however, the failure reoccurred while driving. The vehicle was taken back to the transmission specialist, where it was awaiting to be repaired with an OEM part. The dealer was not notified of the failure. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the transmission specialist that the vehicle could not be repaired under an unknown recall as the VIN was not included. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 75,000.
The contact owns a 2015 Ford F-150. The contact stated that while operating the vehicle, the check engine warning light remained illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who replaced the catalytic converter and Oxygen sensors. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure reoccurred. The cause of the failure was not yet determined. The local dealer and manufacturer were notified of the failure and informed the contact that the vehicle was not under an Extended Warranty coverage related to the failure. The failure mileage was 90,000.
The rear sliding window and it's frame on my 2015 F150 keeps falling out. Ford used sticky tape to hold it in place but the tape does not last very long before it falls out again. The local Ford agency said Ford had no fix except total replacement (at great expense). Seems foolish to replace it if sticky tape is still the Ford "fix." I suspect that the changing temperatures may be part of the problem but the main problem seems to be securing a window frame with nothing more than double-sided sticky tape. This could be a safety hazard to a rear seat passenger or to the driver (or another passing vehicle) if the window frame departs during travel.
as i was driving home. i noticed that my brake pressure was getting low. when i came to a complete stop my foot went to the floor of the truck. LUCKILY i was able to pull over. when i checked the brake master cylinder reservoir the brake fluid was COMPLETLY gone. i was reading that Ford issued a Recall on on the 2014-17 Ford F-150 vehicles built at Kansas City Assembly Plant, Sept. 1, 2014 to Aug. 1, 2016 which mine was. i contacted Ford Motor Company and they stated that the recall was on a the 3.4 eco boost engine and and not the 2.7 which mine has. How does Engine Displacement make a difference on a defective Hydraulically master cylinder.
The contact owns a 2015 Ford F-150. The contact stated while driving 50 mph, the vehicle downshifted independently. The contact stated that the check engine warning light was illuminated. The contact was able to park on the side of the road, restarted the vehicle, and drove to his residence. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. A dealer was not contacted. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 60,000
Sounds like an exhaust leak near the turbo possibly at the manifold. It is very loud and can tell there is a significant loss of power.
When driving on the highway an alert popped up on the dash stating Hill Descent Control Fault which was followed quickly by Service Advancetrac and a yellow wrench and see manual. These warning continued to cycle and the truck seemed to lose ability to maintain speed as is slowed down and the steering became difficult. I was able to get it off the highway without incident as there were not many vehicles on the road, but if it would have been busy, I would have been in trouble. Once on the shoulder I placed it in park and the truck began to shudder and run rough. I turned the truck off and let it sit for a few minutes and then restarted it. Upon restart everything appeared normal and there were no warnings, I was able to continue to my destination. I called the dealership and they sounded like they had heard this story before and told me I could bring it in within a weeks time. I was also told that it would not cause any damage to continue to drive it. While waiting for the repair I did have to continue to drive it and this same thing would happen randomly just going down the road and all of the sudden you get a warning lose the ability to maintain speed and steering becomes difficult. Being on the highway in this situation is dangerous since you never know when it might occur. After going to the dealership they listed the repairs on my form as: installed BL3Z9E926 B Throttle Body and Motor Asy installed BL3Z 12029 C Coil Asy - Ignition installed BL3Z 12A402 A Boot - Ignition wire prot (5 items) installed CYFS 12 YT4 Spark Plug (6 items) The parts and labor of this repair came to $972.56. I have read forums online that that state others have had this repair done as well and some people say their steering rack was replaced as well. This repair was just done yesterday (6-26-21) and I am hopeful that it will fix the problem. I feel that based on the reading I have done this has happened to lots of people and is dangerous, so I wanted to report my incident.
While driving on the freeway the truck completely lost throttle, note electrical stayed and engine idled roughly during this time. Had to emergently pull to the side of the freeway while the truck coasted nearly causing several accidents and people swerved around the truck. Since this initial incident this has happened approximately 15 times on various roads and in intersections. Dealership is saying that some of the electronic throttle bodies (TSB 16-0139) were defective which causes this issue.
driving on highway lost power steering on vehicle, steering assist fault-advancetrac warning and hill start assist not available warnings came on on dashboard. There were no prior warning lights leading up to the incident. Car was very difficult to handle and was not easy to get off the road - luckily it was 5 am and no other cars were on the road. car was taken to dealership where the said new steering gear rack and pinion is needed the car has only 52,000 miles on it
The contact owns a 2015 Ford F-150. The contact stated while attempting to stop the vehicle in the driveway, the brake pedal went to the floorboard. The low brake fluid warning light was illuminated. The contact stated that the brake fluid was leaking out of the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to the dealer and the contact was informed that the front brake lines were leaking and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 140,000.
The drivers side lower A arm bracket that is welded on the frame and the A arm bolts up to the metal failed and broke completely off. this was not a weld but the bracket itself that failed.
VEHICLE LOST ALL SPEED CONTROL WHEN TAKING OFF FROM A STOP AND ENGINE WAS SHUTTERING/VIBRATING/MISFIRING AND DASH PANEL LIT UP LIKE A CHRISTMAS TREE WITH ALL KINDS OF WARNINGS. PULLED OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD SHUT DOWN AND LET SIT FOR SEVERAL MINUTES. RESTARTED AND ENGINE LIGHT STAYED ILLUMINATED. TRUCK WAS RUNNING OK AND LIMITER WAS NOT ENGAGED WAS A SHORT DISTANCE FROM HOME SO I BEGAN TO DRIVE. MADE IT UP TO 55 MPH AND ABOUT 1/2 A MILE AND WITHOUT ANY WARNING IT BEGAN TO ACT UP AGAIN SO TO PREVENT AN ACCIDENT I PULLED OVER AND CALLED A TOW TRUCK TO HAVE IT TOWED TO DEALERSHIP. THEY DIAGNOSED TO TO BE A FAULTY THROTTLE BODY. $502.46, A HEART AND PANIC ATTACK LATER IT SEEMS TO HAVE FIXED THE PROBLEM.
THE FOLLOWING HAS HAPPENED MULTIPLE TIMES. I AM DRIVING IN TOP GEAR (5TH OR 6TH) AT APPROXIMATELY 55 MPH. I ATTEMPT TO PASS SOMEONE AND SUDDENLY LOSE ACCELERATION AS I PRESS THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL. THE TRANSMISSION SEEMS TO GO LIMP. AFTER A FEW SECONDS MY ACCELERATION RETURNS.
WHILE DRIVING THE VEHICLE A GRINDING NOISE EMANATED FROM SOMEWHERE NEAR THE FRONT WHEELS. THE WAS ALSO THE FEELING OF A SHUTTER OR A SHAKE FROM THE SAME AREA. THIS WAS FELT IN THE STEERING WHEEL. AFTER TAKING IT TO THE FORD DEALER, WE WERE TOLD THEY TOOK A FLUID SAMPLE FROM THE TRANSFER CASE AND FOUND IT CONTAMINATED WITH METAL. AT 44,576 MILES, WE HAD TO REPLACE THE TRANSFER CASE.
This issue is about high pressure (D.O.T. safety regulated) brake line going to the right caliper, this line ruptured for no reason. This ruptured high pressure line was noticed & replaced during the Master Safety Recall (20S31/NHTSA 20V-332) repair completed on 04-06-2021. The vehicle had 58,616 miles at the time of the high pressure brake line was replaced, the high pressure brake line is not a wear item such as Front Hub, Drums, Shoes, Linings, Disc Rotors, & Pads. These wear items are listed in my Premium Care Ford Motor Company extended warranty as not being covered, the high pressure brake line is not listed as an exclusion as a covered warranty part. I paid $2,765.00 for this extended warranty, the high pressure brake line has (banjo) fittings (important) on each end and the rubber hose, the rubber hose (flexible) part is comprised of multiple layers of rubber with metal braiding (important) for strength because the rubber can't withstand the pressure without the steel. The Premium Care Warranty under brakes states it covers metal brake lines and fittings. Elk Grove Ford, Ca. stated they receive a list of warrantied items from Ford Motor Company and reject warranties based on what Ford Motor Company says is not under warranty from the list. This is a safety issue because we lost our brakes on the way home from the grocery store and almost wrecked going through intersections putting others and my family in danger. Additional important information pertaining Elk Grove Ford, Ca. and Ford Motor Company Master Cylinder Safety Recall 20S31/NHTSA 20V-332, received 6/2020 had brake fade in 9/2020 called Elk Grove Ford and was told I would have to pay for this recall if the Master cylinder was not defective, this recall was for a known defect by Ford Motor Company. I received a second recall notice 3/2021 urging me to have the recall completed, my brakes completely failed at the end of 3/2021. I have additional supporting information about other warranty issues
MY TRUCK WON'T START SOMETIMES AND TURNS OFF IN THE MIDDLE OF DRIVING. IT HAPPENS EVERY FEW WEEKS. IT SHOWS A MESSAGE SAYING THE OIL I LOW BUT WHEN I CHECK THE OIL, IT IS FINE.
THE CAPLESS FUEL CAP FLAP IS ALLOWING AIR INTO THE TSNK CSUSING THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT TO COME ON. I KNOW NUMEROUS FORD VECHICLES HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM. I FEEL FORD SHOULD RECALL THESE PROBLEMS .
a)When using the adaptive cruise control on interstate, the cruise control periodically resets to a much lower speed for no apparent reason. I have had the cruise set to seventy-five miles per hour on interstate highways and suddenly the cruise resets to thirty-five or forty-five miles per hour. This could become somewhat dangerous if someone is following me and does not notice the sudden reduction in speed. b)I have encountered problems when using the combined systems. For example, in a long line of vehicles approaching a stop sign, the autonomous systems operated efficiently. When the vehicle immediately in front of me leaves the stop sign, my vehicle attempts to accelerate through the stop sign. c)The lane keeping seems to pull hard to the right at various times. It may be due to the striping at interstate highway exits where to right hand lane marking follows the exit and the vehicle seems to attempt to remain centered between the lane markings. The lane keeping feature is very tiring to operate. The system seems to require operator intervention every minute of two so that the system may assure operator vigilance. This continued need to move the steering wheel slightly is extremely tiring. d)Speed sign recognition identifies school zone speed signs and reduces the preset speed of the vehicle even when the school zone is not active, such as off hours or holidays. This could become somewhat dangerous if someone is following does not notice the sudden reduction in my speed. e)Law requires the vehicle to be at the reduced / posted speed immediately upon passing the sign. Since the vehicle requires a few feet to recognize the change in speed limit and slow down, a traffic ticket may result. This has been reported to Ford and as a result the local dealer aligned the cameras with no resulting change in performance.

DRIVERS DOOR LOCK STOPPED WORKING USING THE REMOTE AND THE POWER DOOR LOCK ON THE DOOR. STARTED AFTER A COLD SPELL IN NC. DOOR WOULD NOT LOCK. TOOK IT TO THE DEALER AND THEY COMPLETED THE LATCH RECALL WORK. THEY THEN CHARGED ME FOR A NEW LATCH AS THEY SAID THE ELECTRONICS IN THE LATCH FAILED WHICH CAUSES THE DOOR LOCK TO NO LONGER WORK.
VEHICLE SUDDENLY LOST DRIVE/POWER, THEN IT DRIVE/POWER CAME BACK. SLOWED DOWN AND I DID NOT HAVE ANY ENGINE BRAKING, FELT LIKE IT WAS IN NEUTRAL. ONCE STOPPED, VEHICLE COULD ONLY DRIVE IN FIRST GEAR, AT VERY SLOW SPEED AND IT COULD NOT HOLD A STEADY SPEED.
WHILE IN MOTION AND ON THE FREEWAY THERE IS POWER LOSS, SHAKING, ENGINE SPUTTERING AND BARELY HAS ENOUGH POWER TO GET OFF THE ROAD, HILL START ASSIST DISABLED, DECENT CONTROL DISABLED, SERVICE WRENCH INDICATOR, SERVICE ADVANCE TRAC. I POWERED OFF THE TRUCK, WAITING 10 SECONDS AND IT STARTS AND RUNS FINE UNTIL IT DOES IT AGAIN.
ON 2-24-2021 THESE TWO THINGS HAD NEVER HAPPENED BEFORE 1. I NOTICED WHEN ARRIVED TO WORK THE P FOR THE GEAR SELECTOR STAYED ILLUMINATED AFTER VEHICLE IS SHUT OFF. A CO-WORKER POINTED THIS OUT ALSO THIS HAD NEVER HAPPENED BEFORE 2. WHILE IN A PARKING SPACE ON SIDE OF CVS DRUG STORE NO OTHER CARS NEAR AFTER STARTING THE VEHICLE AND PUTTING INTO REVERSE THE VEHICLE ACCELERATED ON ITS OWN WHILE APPLYING BRAKE DIDN'T STOP HIT A CEMENT POLE BARRIER, TRUCK KEPT TRYING TO JERK BACKWARDS AFTER 2-3 SECONDS IT STOPPED SHIFTED VEHICLE FROM REVERSE TO DRIVE TO MOVE BACK INTO PARKING SPACE VEHICLE ACCELERATED ON ITS OWN; QUICKLY SHIFTED FROM DRIVE TO PARK VEHICLE CONTINUE TO MOVE FORWARD WHILE BRAKE PEDAL APPLIED AND HIT A TREE AND TRUCK TURNED OFF IF NOT FOR TREE WOULD HAVE WENT DOWN EMBANKMENT ON TO A FREEWAY
AS IT RAIN OR DURING VEHICLE WASHINGS, NOTICE THAT WATER WAS LEAKING FROM THE A-FRAME TRIM ON THE DRIVER SIDE OF THE VEHICLE. ALSO FOUND THAT WATER WAS COLLECTING INSIDE OF THE DRIVERSIDE REAR DOOR BETWEEN THE SHEET METAL. UNSURE OF HOW THE WATER MANAGE TO GET INSIDE AND COLLECT BETWEEN THE SHEET METAL. I REMOVED THE DOOR GASKET AND THE WATER DRAINED FROM THE BOTTOM HOLES THAT HOLDS THE DOOR GASKET ANCHORS AT THE BOTTOM OF THE DOOR. COLLECTED CLOSE TO A HALF GALLON OF RAIN WATER. AS I WAS DRIVING I COULD HEAR THE WATER MOVING AROUND IN THE DOOR PANEL AND ORIGINALLY ASSUMED THAT IT WAS THE GAS IN THE GAS TANK, HOWEVER, AFTER I OPENED THE REAR DRIVERSIDE DOOR, I HEARD THE WATER MOVING AROUND INSIDE THE DOOR PANEL. WATER COLLECTS WHEN DRIVING AND WHEN VEHICLE IS STATIONARY.
WHILE ON OPEN FREEWAY WITH ADAPTIVE CRUISE SET AT 70MPH PASSED A SEMI TRUCK THE BRAKES WERE APPLIED VIOLENTLY. THIS OCCURED 3 SEPARATE TIMES.
Brakes locking up! Master cylinder leaking brake fluid. Have had to replace brakes 2 times in a 10 month period

MY 2015 F150 KING RANCH REAR WINDOW GLASS SHATTERED. I WAS DRIVING ON HE INTERSTATE I20 AND HEARD A BIG BANG AND THE GLASS SHATTERED AND I STOPPED. NO MARKS ARE ANYONE CLOSE TO ME WHILE DRIVING. IT JUST EXPLODED AND I DID NOT HAVE REAR DEFROSTER ON. TO REPLACE IS $430 PLUS TAX. FORD NEEDS TO ISSUE A RECALL.
DRIVING DOWN THE STREET, WITHOUT THE REAR DEFROST ON, AND HEARD A LARGE BOOM, WHICH I DISCOVERED THE NEXT MORNING WAS THE REAR WINDOW BLOWING OUT ON MY TRUCK. LOOKS LIKE THIS IS A COMMON SITUATION WITH THESE TYPES OF VEHICLES AND FORD IS NOT TAKING RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE PROBLEM. THERE IS A MASSIVE BLOG, WITH DOZENS OF ACCOUNTS OF SIMILAR EXPERIENCES. VEHICLE WAS GOING ABPROX 5 MPH AS I WAS JUST LEAVING FROM A STOP LIGHT. I WAS ON A CITY STREET IN RENO, NV. THIS HAPPENED ON 1/27/21 ABOUT 5:30PM. I CONTACT NV ENERGY TO SEE IF A TRANSFORMER HAD BLOWN, CHECKED VEHICLE FOR IMPACT FORM AN OBJECT, AND NO EVIDENCE OF EITHER. GLASS NOW IN THE VEHICLE AND CONTINUES TO FALL APART. JUST LUCKY I DIDN'T HAVE PASSENGERS IN THE BACK SEAT!!
I HAVE A2015 F 150 WITH 47,500 MILES. I WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY WHEN THE ENGINE JUST STOPPED. I WAS ABLE TO GET TO THE SHOULDER WITHOUT GETTING HIT. WHEN I TRIED TO START THE TRUCK IT WOULD CRANK BUT WOULDN'T START. I ENDED UP CALLING MY MECHANIC HE TRIED TO JUMP IT DIDN'T START. HE TOWED THE TRUCK TO THE SHOP, HE ENDED UP CHANGING THE FUEL PUMP AND FUEL PUMP MODULE. I LOOKED UP THE PROBLEM ON THE INTERNET AND FOUND MANY OTHER FORD TRUCK OWNERS HAD THE SAME PROBLEM. I CONTACTED FORD THEY SAID THERE IS NOTHING THEY CAN DO. MY MECHANIC SAID THE PUMP SHOULD NOT GO BAD WITH THE MILEAGE MY TRUCK HAD. WHAT HAPPENED COULD HAVE LEAD TO AN ACCIDENT.
DURING COLD TEMPERATURES OUR TRUCK DOORS WILL NOT LATCH AND SEAL. THE ONBOARD SYSTEM READS THE PROBLEM AS AN OPEN DOOR SENDING WARNINGS. TO DRIVE, WE MUST HOLD THE DOOR SHUT AND LOCK IT SO IT WON'T FLY OPEN. ONCE TEMPERATURES RISE DURING THE DAY, THE PROBLEM RESOLVES ITSELF.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2015 FORD F-150. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING 45 MPH, WHILE COMING UP ON A CORNER TO MAKE A SHARP RIGHT TURNED, WHILE SLOWING DOWN, DEPRESSING THE BRAKE PEDAL TO MAKE THE RIGHT TURNED, THE VEHICLE FAILED TO STOP. WHEN TURNING ONTO A ROAD AND STARTING TO ACCELERATE, THE TRUCK SUDDENLY LOST ALL POWER AND THE TRACTION CONTROL, ADVANCE TRACTION CONTROL, HILL DESCENT CONTROL, MAINTENANCE REQUIRED LIGHT ALL CAME ON AND THE TRUCK WENT INTO LIMP MODE. LUCKILY I WAS ABLE TO PULL OFF THE ROAD AND AVOID BEING HIT.
TRUCK FAULT CODE FLASHES AND TRUCK SHUTS DOWN INTO SAFE MODE. THREE TIMES IT OCCURRED WHILE DRIVING ON FREEWAY AT 70 MPH AND THE FOURTH TIME IT HAPPENED IN AN A SIDE ROAD DOING 35 MPH. EVERY TIME THE SAME THING HAPPENED, THE TRUCK SHUT DOWN IN SAFE MODE SHOWING FAULT CODES. I WOULD STOP, IT WOULD IDLE VERY ROUGH, I WAS NOT ABLE TO MOVE IT AS IT WOULD NOT REV OR LET ME INCREASE RPM. I WOULD HAVE TO SHUT OFF TRUCK, TURN IT BACK ON, IT WOULD RESET AND DRIVE LIKE NORMAL. TOOK TO COURTESY FORD FOUR TIMES TO DIAGNOSE AND THEY COULD NOT FIND ANYTHING, I BOUGHT A CODE READY AND THE TRUCK WENT INTO FAULT CODE AND SAFETY MODE AGAIN, THE CODE READ P2112. FORD FOUND TSB 16-0139 APPLIED AND REPLACED THROTTLE BODY AND CHARGED ME $496.95 FOR REPAIR. 2015 FORD F150 WITH 58K MILES.
THE VEHICLE WENT INTO "LIMP MODE"
HOOD AND TAILGATE LATCHES ARE FROZEN. THE LATCHES ARE NOT RELIABLE. NOTICED DURING OIL CHANGES FOR HOOD LATCH AND DURING DAILY USE ON TAILGATE. A SIMILAR RECALL FOR THE VEHICLE DOOR LATCHES WAS ISSUED IN 2018 AND COMPLETED. HOOD AND TAILGATE LATCHES WERE NOT ADDRESSED. HOOD LATCH AND TAILGATE LATCH COULD CAUSE OBSTRUCTION WHILE DRIVING TO MYSELF AND OTHER VEHICLES.
WHILE PARKED, WITH ENGINE OFF, HAD NOT BEEN RUNNING, KEYS OUT OF IGNITION, THE ENGINE COOLING FANS COME ON AT HIGH AND WILL NOT GO OFF UNTIL BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTED. UPON RECONNECTING CABLE NEXT DAY, FANS COME ON HIGH AGAIN. HAS HAPPENED SEVERAL TIMES. HAS KILLED THE BATTERY AND FEARFUL OF ELECTRICAL FIRE.
I GOT A FLAT TIRE AND TIRE COULD NOT BE REMOVED. THE LUG NUTS HOLDING THE TIRE HAD SWELLING TO A DIFFERENT SIZE SO TIRE CAN'T BE REMOVED. I WAS STUCK ON SIDE OF ROAD.
DRIVER SIDE DOOR WILL NOT LATCH AT TIMES. THIS HAS HAPPENED 3 TIMES ALREADY AND I HAVE ONLY HAD THE VEHICLE 2 MONTHS. THE FIRST TIME I HAD TO UNLOCK AND LOCK IT MULTIPLE TIMES OT GET IT TO OPEN THE NEXT I HAD TO SHUT OFF THE ENGINE AND THE THIRD TIME I HAD TO PRESS IN THE MAUAL LOCK FOR IT TO LATCH. IT DID NOT LATCH WHEN STATIONARY OR WHEN IN MOTION.
SUNROOF STICKS ,BINDS AND MAKES CRACKING POPPING SOUND
DRIVE IN THE INTERSTATE I FELT SOMETHING TAP MY SHOE AND AT THE SAME TIME CRUISE CONTROL DEACTIVATED AND THE HILL ASSIST WARNING LIGHT COME ON. I THEN TRIED TO ACCELERATE AND FOR A SECOND THERE NOTHING HAPPENED AND THEN ACCELERATION CAME BACK ON AND IT WOULD CUT OUT LIKE TRACTION CONTROL IS KICKING IN. PULLED OVER ON TO THE SIDE OF THE INTERSTATE AND FOUND A BROKEN PLASTIC PIN LOOKS LIKE A BODY PANEL PIN ON THE FLOORMATT. ME BEING A MECHANIC SOMETHING TOLD ME TO LOOK AT MY BRAKE LIGHT TO SEE IF THERE BEING ACTIVATED WITH NO PRESSURE ON THE BRAKE PEDAL . THE LIGHTS WERE ON TELLING ME THAT THIS PIN HAD TO DO SOMETHING WITH THE BRAKE PEDAL AND THE BRAKE LIGHT SWITCH. ONCE I LOOKED UNDER THE DASH, I DID FIND THAT THIS PIN CAME FROM THE BRAKE PEDAL AND WAS NO LONGER PUSHING ON THE BRAKE SWITCH AND THAT'S WHAT ACTUALLY CAUSE MY CRUISE CONTROL TO SHUT OFF AND TRACTION CONTROL KICK IN AS I WERE DRIVING ON INNERSTATE. I WAS ABLE TO TEMPORARILY FIX THE ISSUE WAS A BODY PANEL PIN THAT I BY LOCK HAD IN MY GLOVE BOX FROM OTHER PROJECTS AND WAS ABLE TO GET BACK ON THE ROAD AND MAKE IT HOME .THE ISSUE IS THE THIS ORIGINAL PLASTIC PIECE IS A CERTAIN THICKNESS THAT IF YOU REPLACE IT WITH A THINNER PIECE YOU STILL HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM AND IF YOU GET THIS TO THICK YOU HAVE TO PUSH HARDER ON THE BRAKE PEDAL TO ACTIVATE THE BRAKE LIGHTS AND DEACTIVATE CROUSE CONTROL, AND THAT'S WERE IT CAN GET SCARY GOING 70 MPH ON THE INTERSTATE AND NOT BEING ABLE TO DEACTIVATE THE CROUSE CONNECTOR. SO I CALL THE LOCAL FORD PARTS STORE AND THE ISSUE IS THAT THIS PLASTIC PIN CAN NOT BE PURCHASED BY ITSELF AND THAT THIS PIN HAS TO BE PURCHASED WITH A $150 PEDAL. SO I LOOKED ON THE INTERNET TO SEE IF MAYBE THIS IS AN ISSUE WITH THIS VEHICLE AND I FOUND MULTIPLE COMPLAINTS OF THE SAME ISSUE AND NO RECALL FORM FORD FOR THIS ISSUE WITCH IN MY OPINION IT'S A SAFETY ISSUE. 2015 F-150 WITH 76000 MILES.

I WOKE UP AND REMOTE STARTED MY TRUCK BEFORE LEAVING FOR WORK ON A 40 DEGREE FAHRENHEIT DAY. I WAS 2 MINUTES INTO MY DRIVE AND THEN ALL I HEARD WAS A HUGE BANG, I SERIOUSLY THOUGHT SOMEONE HAD JUST SHOT A GUN. I LOOKED BACK AND MY REAR WINDOW WAS JUST COMPLETELY SHATTERED FOR NO REASON. THIS MAKES ME VERY UPSET BECAUSE I HAD JUST GOTTEN THE TRUCK BACK FROM GETTING A NEW WINDSHIELD THAT CRACKED FOR NO REASON 2 DAYS AGO, THANKS.
