The passenger occupancy sensor is not working correctly, giving an airbag indicator on the dashboard. It is not recognizing when a person is in the seat. This causes a huge safety risk if airbags don’t deploy in a collision.
Unknown, I was pulling into a parking spot, at Sam's Club, and lightly tap the gas petal for the turn and the truck lunched forward in the one carlink, and hit a concrete parking pole (Sam's club in Southgate Michigan has security cameras) it warped around the pole and bent the frame as if though it was 90 mph and a telephone pole.. I had taken it in twice under warranty for the gas pedal not working correctly, the warranty company would not allow a 3rd repair nor did Ford dealership take that warranty company. The airbags did not deploy, and I now have a T4 fractured vertebrae.
All push button controls on steering wheel are not functioning. Appears the Steering Wheel Clock Spring is going bad. Which in turn affects airbag, steering, cruise control ect.

On Friday, May 21, 2021, the horn pad / airbag cover on the steering wheel cracked beneath the Ford emblem on my 2016 Ford F150 with approximately 44k mi on the vehicle. A quick web search shows identical cracks on many F150 horn pads of this body style. There are no recalls and no TSBs, but there are many online reports of this failure, indicating it is common. Likewise, there are many stories of Ford faulting drivers for improper horn use to decline warranty coverage. Without improper use in my case, I can assure that the failure of the horn pad cover is a design flaw. Because the issue presents a safety concern by exposing the airbag or related hardware, I recommend a recall be issued to proactively address this common design failure. I look forward to Ford resolving this issue for me under their CPO warranty, but online commenters leave me cautious about the likelihood of warranty support.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 FORD F-150. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT 45 MPH, THE VEHICLE IN FRONT OF HIM STOPPED ABRUPTLY AND HIS BRAKES FAILED WHILE DEPRESSED WITHOUT WARNING. DUE TO THE FAILURE, THE CONTACT REAR ENDED THE VEHICLE. THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY UPON IMPACT. THERE WERE NO INJURIES REPORTED AT THE SCENE AND A POLICE REPORT WAS NOT FILED. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE HOME FROM THE SCENE OF THE ACCIDENT. THE CONTACT INITIALLY TOOK THE VEHICLE TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE THEY REPAIRED THE DAMAGE TO THE VEHICLE; HOWEVER, UPON A TEST DRIVE, THEY DISCOVERED THAT THE BRAKES REMAINED FAULTY. THE INDEPENDENT MECHANIC THEN TOOK THE VEHICLE TO ANOTHER INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE THEY DIAGNOSED THE VEHICLE WITH A FAULTY MASTER CYLINDER. UPON INVESTIGATION, THE CONTACT DISCOVERED THAT HIS VEHICLE HAD BEEN PLACED UNDER NHTSA RECALL NUMBER: 20V332000 (SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC); HOWEVER, THE PARTS TO REPAIR THE VEHICLE ARE UNAVAILABLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND INFORMED HIM THAT THEY WOULD REIMBURSE HIM FOR THE REPAIR TO THE MASTER CYLINDER. THE VEHICLE HAD YET TO BE REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 82,000.
DRIVERS SIDE AIR BAG COVER SPLIT OPEN EXPOSING THE AIRBAG. THIS WAS NOT THE RESULT OF A COLLISION. APPEARS TO BE A FAULTY COVER.

I HAVE A 2016 F150 LARIAT. WHILE STATIONARY AND IN MOTION MY REAR BLINDSPOT SPOT MODUALE KEEPS SHOWING ON MY DASH COVERING MY SPERDOMETER. WHEN THIS HAPPENS I LOSE MY HEAT, AIRBAGS, GPS, FRONT POWER WINDOWS, POWER MIRRORS AND POWER SEATS. I'VE BEEN CHECKING ONLINE OF THIS PROBLEM AND SOUNDS QUITE COMMON. THIS WAS HAPPENING ABOUT 3 TIMES A DAY FOR ABOUT 2 WEEKS AND NOW IT STAYS TO WHERE ITS CONSTANT. SEEING THIS IS ON GOING WITH THESE VEHICLES I THINK THE DEALERSHIPS SHOULD BE RELIABLE TO FIX THIS EXPENSIVE ONGOING PROBLEM. THE FORD DEALERSHIP IN UTICA, NY WANTS 1500.00 DOLLARS TO FIX THIS PROBLEM.

ONE WEEK AGO LEFT WORK AND TURNED ON TRUCK. WHEN STARTING TO PULL OUT OF PARKING SPACE ABS LIGHT CAME ON DASH. AFTER GETTING HOME AND CALLING DEALER TO HAVE INSPECTION, WAS INFORMED IT WOULD BE 2 WEEKS TO GET IN FOR SERVICE. AS VEHICLE IS DAILY DRIVER CONTINUED TO DRIVE AROUND TOWN AND TO WORK, A FEW DAYS AFTER REGULAR USE STEERING COLUMN STARTED GETTING HARDER TO TURN AND DEVELOPED CLICKING SOUND. CALLED ANOTHER MECHANIC TO GET IN SOONER AND BEFORE COULD MAKE THAT APPOINTMENT SCHEDULED FOR TWO DAYS LATER ENTIRE STEERING COLUMN LOCKED UP AND VEHICLE IS UNUSABLE. BEING TOWED TO REPAIR SHOP TODAY. LUCKILY WAS NOT DRIVING WHEN COLUMN LOCKED UP. HAD STARTED VEHICLE IN DRIVEWAY AND WAS PLANNING ON GOING TO STORE WHEN UNABLE TO BACK UP BECAUSE STEERING COLUMNS/WHEEL WOULD NOT MOVE. NOW AWAITING WORK FROM REPAIR SHOP ON DOAGNSOSTICS AND ISSUE TO REPAIR. VERY FRUSTRATED AS VEHICLE LESS THAN 3 YEARS OLD AND WITH ONLY 70K MILES.
THE PASSENGER SIDE SEAT BELT WILL NOT RETRACT ON IT'S ON. THE PASSENGER HAS TO PUT THE SEAT BELT ON AND THEN MANUALLY PUSH THE SEAT BELT IN AND THEN LEAN FORWARD FOR IT TO LOCK IN PLACE. THE VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY
I am writing because I had the 3 recalls on my vehicle repaired 3 years ago but the dealership apparently may not have completed these because I just received a letter from Ford stating a quality audit discovered it may not have been done. Your website states they are incomplete which is beyond frustrating. I had to go through a lot just to get the dealership to work with me to give me a loaner car in order to get them done. Now I may have been driving around for 3 years in a vehicle I thought was fixed which could still injure me.
I HIT SOME ICE ON THE INTERSTATE AND LOST CONTROL. I RAN OFF THE ROAD DOING BETWEEN 45 & 50 MPH. I WENT DOWNHILL FOR AROUND 100 YARDS AND HIT A TREE. THE TREE CENTERED THE BUMPER AND THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY.
