REAR GLASS EXPLODED. REAR DE-FROST TURNED ON, ELECTRICAL CIRCUIT ISSUE CAUSED REAR GLASS TO OVER HEAT AND BURN UP, ALONG WITH COLD EXTERNAL WEATHER CAUSING VERY HOT GLASS EXPLOSION WHILE DRIVING SENDING GLASS PIECES EVERYWHERE. GLASS PARTICLES VERY FINE AND CAUSED SCRATCHES AND BLEEDING.
DRIVING AT 65MPH, ALL OF A SUDDEN SAID BRAKE FLUID OUT, EMERGENCY BRAKE WAS NOT ON, SAID IT WAS, PULLED TO SIDE OF HIGHWAY, TESTED EMERGENCY BRAKE, NOT ENGAGED, HAD TO PUSH BRAKE PEDAL ALL THE WAY TO FLOORBOARD, COASTED TO DEALER NEARBY. DEALER HAS SAID, COMPLETE FAILURE OF MASTER CYLINDER AND BRAKE LINE LEAK
I WAS MERGING ONTO A HIGHWAY AND I WENT TO ACCELERATE AND LI ENDED UP WITH A COMPLETE LOSS OF POWER, NO ACCELERATION, AND A FLASHING WRENCH ON MY SCREEN TELLING ME THAT I WAS HAVING A HILL DECENT ISSUE AND SERVICE ADVANCETRAC ERROR. AS I TRIED TO GET OFF THE ROAD ONCE I LOST POWER; THE CAR STARTED SHAKING VIOLENTLY WHILE AT A COMPLETE STOP.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 FORD F-150. WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY, THE CONTACT NOTICED THAT ALL OF THE CONTROLS ON THE STEERING WHEEL WERE INOPERABLE. WESTWAY FORD OF DALLAS, TEXAS WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS OUT OF WARRANTY. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 48,500.
TRUCK LOST ENGINE POWER. TRUCK WAS STILL RUNNING, BUT PRESSING THE ACCELERATOR DID NOTHING. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM STILL FUNCTIONED (POWER STEERING AND LIGHTS) AND BRAKES WORKED NORMALLY. WHEN THIS OCCURRED, THE TRUCK STARTED DINGING, THE AIRBAG LIGHT LIT UP, AND THE PRODUCTIVITY SCREEN SHOWED A 'HILL DESCENT CONTROL DISABLED' ERROR MESSAGE, AIRBAG ERROR, OTHER ERRORS AND THE WRENCH ICON. ENGINE WAS STILL RUNNING, BUT IDLING VERY ROUGH, LIKE IT HAD DROPPED A CYLINDER, AND THE TRUCK WAS SHUDDERING AS IT WAS IDLING BOTH IN GEAR, AND IN PARK. RESUMED NORMAL OPS ON RESTART. DEALER REPLACE THROTTLE BODY UNDER TSB-16-0193 BUT THIS SHOULD BE ELEVATED TO A FULL RECALL
JUST OVER 21000 MILES ON MY 2016 F150. WHILE PULLING INTO A PARKING SPOT RIGHT AFTER GETTING MY TRUCK WASHED, THE ENGINE REVVED AND I HAD NO BRAKES. PUSHED BRAKES ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR AGAIN AND AGAIN TO NO AVAIL. TRUCK JUMPED THE CURB AND SMASHED INTO THE WALL. CRASH WARNING LIGHTS/ ALARM DID NOT GO ON AND THE AIRBAG DID NOT DEPLOY, THOUGH THE AIRBAG LIGHT CAME ON. TRUCK FILLED WITH SMOKE...BUT CLEARED OUT RELATIVELY QUICKLY. BRAKES SEEMED FINE AFTER THAT....IN THE SHOP NOW...SEE WHAT FORD HAS TO SAY.
AS A FORD OWNER WHY WAS I NOT NOTIFIED OF POSSIBLE BRAKE ISSUES WITH MY F150? I WAS DRIVING HOME FROM THE AIRPORT ON SUNDAY MORNING ON THE FREEWAY WHEN A LIGHT CAME ON ABOUT BRAKE FLUID. I TESTED MY BRAKES. THEY WORKED. I CONTINUED CAUTIOUSLY TO MY EXIT. FOR WHATEVER REASON (GRACE OF GOD) I TOOK MY FOOT OFF THE GAS WHEN I GOT OFF ON THE OFF THE EXIT. AS I NEARED THE STOP LIGHT AND APPLIED THE BRAKE, I FOUND I DIDNT HAVE ANY!!!! THE E BRAKE BARELY STOPPED ME. HAD I NOT DECELERATED WHEN I DID I WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN ABLE TO STOP! I COULD'VE BEEN KILLED!!! WHEN I CALLED FORD THEY NEVER MENTIONED ANY ISSUES!!! I PULL A TRAVEL TRAILER AND HAD A TRIP PLANNED THIS UPCOMING WEEK. HAD THIS HAPPENED THEN THE OUTCOME COULD'VE BEEN HORRIFIC! HOW CAN I TRUST THAT ONCE THE VEHICLE IS FIXED IT IS SAFE? IM AFRAID TO TAKE MY GRAND KIDS IN MY CAR! HOW CAN I TRUST FORD WHEN THEY WEREN'T UP FRONT ABOUT THE SITUATION TO BEGIN WITH. DO WE WAIT FOR FATALITIES BEFORE WE DO SOMETHING? WHAT'S MY RECOURSE? I HAVE ALWAYS BEEN A STRONG FORD SUPPORTER (MY MOM RETIRED FROM FORD) BUT AM EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED BY FORD AND BY ANY AND ALL AGENCIES THAT GOVERN NOTIFICATIONS OF SUCH ISSUES. I SHOULD NOT HAVE TO BE WEB SURFING TO FIND OUT THAT THERE ARE ISSUES. I HAVE A BRAND NEW RIG FOR A REASON AND AM PAYING FOR IT WITH THE EXPECTATION THAT I CAN FEEL SAFE IN MY RIG!
ON 8-19-17 TRUCK WAS MOVING AT ABOUT 30 MPH ON A STREET, WENT TO STOP AT A STOP SIGN, BRAKE PEDAL WENT ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR, TRUCK WOULD NOT STOP. RELEASED BRAKES, AND TRIED AGAIN, THIS TIME PUMPING THE BRAKE PEDAL. TRUCK STOPPED THIS TIME. CONTINUED ON, BRAKES FELT SPONGY BUT WOULD STOP AND STARTED FEELING NORMAL AGAIN. ON 8-26-17 SAME SCENARIO OCCURRED. DROPPED TRUCK OFF AT FORD DEALERSHIP ON 8-28-17. AS OF 8-31-17 DEALERSHIP HAS NOT DUPLICATED PROBLEM, FOUND ANY FLUID LEAKS AND HAS NOT SOLVED PROBLEM. JUST A SIDE NOTE. MY BROTHER IN-LAW HAS THE SAME EXACT TRUCK AND EXPERIENCED THE SAME SITUATION ABOUT A YEAR AGO. AT THAT TIME THE DEALERSHIP REPLACED THE MASTER CYLINDER AND HAS SEEMED TO SOLVE HIS PROBLEM. I HAVE ALSO GOOGLED THIS PROBLEM AND IT SEEMS TO BE A PROBLEM WITH OTHER OWNERS. SOME HAVE HAD THE MASTER CYLINDER REPLACED. I SUGGESTED THIS TO THE SERVICE WRITER AT THE DEALERSHIP, SERVICE WRITER HAS DECLINED TO REPLACE MASTER CYLINDER SINCE THEY CAN NOT DUPLICATE PROBLEM OR FIND ANY LEAKS.
2016 F150 WITH THE 2.7L ECOBOOST RANDOMLY DIES AFTER STARTUP. SOMETIMES IT WILL DIE WHILE IN MOTION ALMOST CAUSING AN ACCIDENT. THERE'S NO STORED CODES FOR THE DEALER. IT'S BEEN IN THE SHOP 6 TIMES TOTAL. THE FIRST TIME THEY PUT A CRANKCASE VENT SENSOR AND THEN THE 2ND TIME SPARKPLUGS. IT'S DIES AND GONE INTO LIMP MODE MULTIPLE TIMES BUT THE DEALER CAN'T DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM SO THEY CAN'T FIX IT. IT STARTED AT 9,000 MILES AND IT NOW HAS 14,000 MILES. I'M PRETTY SURE IT'S THE THROTTLE BODY BUT THEY WON'T REPLACE IT WITHOUT A CODE. IT HAS HAPPENED RANDOMLY FROM MARCH 2017 UNTIL TODAY 8-13-17. I ALSO HAVE A RECORDING SAVED ON MY SNAP-ON SCAN TOOL OF THE PARAMETERS AT THE TIME IT WENT INTO LIMP MODE.

ALSO, VARIOUS WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED, INCLUDING THE POWERTRAIN FAULT, STABILITY CONTROL, AIR BAG, AND CHECK SERVICE MANUAL. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE RUNNING BOARD FAILED TO RETRACT. THE CONTACT PULLED THE VEHICLE OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND RESTARTED THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO FORD & LINCOLN OF SMITHTOWN (440 JERICHO TURNPIKE, ST JAMES, NY 11780(631) 265-2340), BUT THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE COULD NOT BE DUPLICATED OR DIAGNOSED. WHEN THE CONTACT RETRIEVED THE VEHICLE SEVERAL HOURS LATER, THE FAILURE RECURRED AND THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED BACK TO THE DEALER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE, BUT DID NOT ASSIST. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 6,000.
BRAKES DID NOT FUNCTION PROPERLY, CHECKED RESERVOIR EMPTY BUT NO FLUID ON GROUND
2016 FORD F-150 XLT. CONSUMER WRITES IN REGARDS TO DEFECTIVE REAR DOOR LATCH. *LD THE CONSUMER STATED THE DRIVER'S SIDE DOOR LATCH WAS LIGHTLY TOUCHED CAUSING IT TO SWING OPEN. THE CONSUMER FELL FORWARD AND GRABBED THE STEERING TO PREVENT FROM FALLING INTO SOME ROCKS AND A CREEK. THE CONSUMER RECEIVED AN INJURY TO THE SHOULDER. MEDICAL ATTENTION WAS NOT NEEDED. THE TRUCK JUST TURNED 10,000 AND NOW THE BRAKE PEDAL HAS GONE VERY SOFT AND IT REQUIRES PUSHING THE PEDAL TO THE FLOOR TO GET THE BRAKES TO ACTIVATE. GENTLE DRIVING, REGULAR SERVICE, NOT A FLUID ISSUE. THIS TRUCK HAS THE 2.7 ECOBOOST ENGINE.
AFTER OWNING THIS VEHICLE FOR 1 MONTH, THE BREAKS FAILED ON ME WHILE I ATTEMPTED TO STOP AT A STOP SIGN BEFORE PULLING OUT ONTO A HIGHWAY. THE BREAK PEDAL WENT STRAIGHT TO THE FLOOR AND I ROLLED OUT INTO TRAFFIC INSTEAD OF STOPPING. THIS IS MY MAIN FAMILY VEHICLE, IT IS WHAT I DRIVE MY 2, 3-YEAR OLD CHILDREN IN 99% OF THE TIME. I LOOKED FOR A RECALL STATUS AND FOUND MULTIPLE COMPLAINTS OF THIS ISSUE ONLINE, BUT NO RECALL BEING ISSUED. I AM TERRIFIED TO USE THE VEHICLE NOW AND I AM NOW STUCK WITH IT FOR A MINIMUM OF THE NEXT 6YRS TILL IT'S PAID OFF. IF THIS HAD HAPPENED WHILE I WAS ON A FAMILY VACATION TOWING A 6000 POUND TRAILER (WHAT THIS VEHICLE IS INTEND FOR IN MY FAMILY) MY FAMILY COULD HAVE BEEN SERIOUSLY INJURED OR DIED! NOW I'M STUCK WITH A $35K VEHICLE, NOT FEELING SAFE TAKING OUR FAMILY VACATIONS AND MY $17K CAMPER JUST SITS HERE UNUSED BECAUSE I DON'T HAVE A SAFE VEHICALE TO USE FOR TOWING.
THIS VEHICLE BELONGS TO OSCEOLA COUNTY, FL (COMPANY VEHICLE). THE CAR WAS IN MOTION AT A SPEED OF 25MPH IN A CITY STREET (ST. CLOUD,FL). I WAS DRIVING THE CAR. A FRONT COLLISION ACCIDENT OCCURRED. THE DRIVER SIDE AIR BAG DEPLOYED. THE SEAT BELT RETRACTED IN A HARD MANNER. DUE TO THIS ACCIDENT MY LEFT SHOULDER/SHOULDER BLADE & COLLAR BONE WERE INJURED. SUDDEN HIGH VIBRATION AND SHAKING IN REAR DRIVE TRAIN, LOSS OF ENGINE THROTTLE POWER, WHILE DRIVING ON FREEWAY. LOSS OF TURN SIGNALS. ABLE TO PULL OVER TO SHOULDER, STOP ENGINE, AND RESTART AND EVENT GOES AWAY, ONLY TO RANDOM HAPPEN AGAIN 50-100 MILES LATER. 5 EVENTS, VERY DANGEROUS ON PUBLIC HIWAYS TO LOOSE POWER IN HEAVY TRAFFIC. 2016 F-150 PLATINUM WITH 20K MILES JUST HAD "LOW BRAKE FLUID" NOTICE COME ON AS I STARTED PULLING OUT OF PARKING LOT THAT WAS DOWNHILL AND REALIZED I HAD NO BRAKES WHEN THE PEDAL WENT TO THE FLOOR. I QUICKLY USED EMERGENCY BRAKE TO STOP THE TRUCK AND PULL BACK INTO PARKING SPACE. PULLED UP THE HOOD TO FIND THE RESERVOIR WAS LOW. PULLED UP GOOD OL GOOGLE AND WHAT DO YOU KNOW... ITS A COMMON PROBLEM WITH THE MASTER CYLINDER. GLAD I WASN'T DRIVING WITH MY KIDS TOWING THE BOAT GOING DOWNHILL. OFF FOR REPAIR.
DUAL CONTROL FOR THE A/C POPS UP . ALSO HAD RADIO NOT WANTING TO GO OFF WITH THE KEY OUT OFF THE TRUCK AND THE DOOR OPEN . ALSO HAD THE LIGHTS NOT WORKING FOR THE TRAILIOR . ALSO MY TRUCK DIDN'T WANT TO GO OVER 5 MILES AN HOUR. DEALER CAN FIND ANYTHING WRONG WITH IT. WHAT NEXT
ENGINE CUTS OUT WITH ERROR LIGHTS ON DASH, NO THROTTLE RESPONSE OR POWER. THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS AS IT HAPPENED ON A BUSY INTERSTATE AT AROUND 70MPH. WE HAD TO GET THE VEHICLE TO THE SHOULDER WITHOUT POWER NARROWLY AVOIDING OTHER VEHICLES AND LARGE TRUCKS. THIS FAULT ENDANGERED THE LIFE OF MY FAMILY!! THEY HAVE TRIED TO REPAIR THIS VEHICLE ALREADY BY REPLACING THE THROTTLE PEDAL.

MOMENTS LATER, WHILE ATTEMPTING TO STOP THE VEHICLE, THE BRAKE PEDAL EXTENDED TO THE FLOOR AND THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT IMMEDIATELY STOP. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER (CHESTATEE FORD LOCATED IN DAHLONEGA, GEORGIA). THE MECHANIC DIAGNOSED THAT THE MASTER CYLINDER AND CV BOOT WERE BOTH FAULTY AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 45,000.

FORD OF MONROEVILLE, ALABAMA WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND REPLACED THE ABS AND BRAKE SENSORS, AND REPROGRAMMED THE VEHICLE; HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED AT LEAST SEVEN TIMES. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE AND PROVIDED CASE NUMBER: CAS-12779235. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 8,558.
REAR WINDOW SHATTERING WHILE DRIVING
BACKED OUT DRIVEWAY AND HAD NO BRAKES (PUSHED ON PEDDLE ALL THE WAY AND WENT TO FLOOR. VEHICLE DIDN'T SLOW) HAD BRAKES DAY BEFORE AND NO WARNING, NOR FLUID ANYWHERE. RESERVOIR WAS VISIBLY WELL BELOW MINIMUM. LOOKING BACK, I DID SMELL HYDRAULIC OIL NIGHT BEFORE WHEN I PULLED IN GARAGE. DEALER SAID FLUID LEAKED INTO POWERBOOSTER

THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING DOWN A HILL, THE BRAKE PEDAL WENT TO THE FLOORBOARD, FAILED TO STOP THE VEHICLE AND THE CONTACT CRASHED INTO A GUARD RAIL. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE DRIVER SUSTAINED MINOR BRUISING AND NO MEDICAL TREATMENT. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED TO DETERMINE WHY THE BRAKES FAILED TO FUNCTION. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA ACTION NUMBER: RQ16001 (SERVICE BRAKES, SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC). THE CONTACT WAS WAITING ON A RESPONSE FROM THE MANUFACTURER. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
WHILE DRIVING MY TRUCK I HAD TOTAL LOSS OF BRAKE FUNCTION WITHOUT WARNING. FURTHER INVESTIGATION SHOWED THE FLUID RESERVOIR WAS EMPTY DESPITE NO EVIDENCE OF LEAKS. I FEEL THIS IS INLINE WITH THE BRAKE BOOSTER/MASTER CYLINDER RECALLS OF 2013-2014 YEAR MODELS. I SUSPECT THE BRAKE FLUID HAS BEEN DRAWN INTO THE VACUUM BOOSTER. I'M AWAITING DEALERSHIP SERVICE AT THIS TIME. I WAS ON A MOUNTAIN ROAD AND LUCKILY WE WERE ON A LEVEL SPOT INSTEAD OF ON A HILL.

MY VEHICLE CAME OUT OF PARK WHILE ENGINE WAS RUNNING WHILE I WAS IN A STORE AND CRASHED INTO A BUILDING IN REVERSE. MY VEHICLE HAD MAJOR DAMAGE AND I ALSO RECEIVED A CITATION FOR THE ACCIDENT.
TARTED MY 2016 FORD F150 SUNDAY MORNING,TURNED ON DEFROSTER DUE TO FOGGY WINDOWS FROM RAIN & HUMIDITY,WENT BACK INSIDE TO GET MY COFFEE BEFORE I LEFT TO GO FOR DONUTS,CAME BACK OUT,GOT IN TRUCK,STARTED DOWN THE HILL AND HEARD A POP BEHIND ME,LOOKED BACK,AND BOTH SIDES OF THE REAR WINDOW GLASS HAD SHATTERED,THE CENTER PWR WINDOW WAS STILL INTACT.
I EXPERIENCED A SUDDEN AND COMPLETE LOSS OF MY BRAKES WHILE BACKING OUT OF MY GARAGE. WHEN IT HAPPENED IT WAS INSTANTANEOUS AND I HAD NO BRAKING POWER AT ALL. THE BRAKE LIGHT CAME ON IMMEDIATELY AND LOW BRAKE FLUID LIGHT WAS ALSO ON. THE FORD DEALER CONFIRMED UPON REPAIR THAT THE MASTER CYLINDER DUMPED MOST OR ALL OF MY BRAKE FLUID INTO THE BRAKE BOOSTER. THEY REPAIRED THE ISSUE, BUT USED THE SAME FACTORY PARTS MY TRUCK WAS MADE WITH. WHAT'S TO SAY THIS WON'T HAPPEN AGAIN???
WHILE ON THE ROAD, BEGAN TO NOTICE BRAKE PEDAL TRAVEL WAS SOFTER AND CLOSER TO THE FLOOR BEFORE ANY BRAKING ACTION OCCURRED. STOPPED AT THE LAST RED LIGHT BEFORE ARRIVING HOME. WHILE SITTING AT THE LIGHT, I STEADILY PRESSED HARDER ON THE PEDAL, AND IT REACHED THE FLOOR. PULLED INTO DRIVEWAY AND DUPLICATED THE SAME TEST. WHEN PURCHASED NEW, THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS VERY SENSITIVE TO THE TOUCH, AND BRAKING WAS QUICK TO REACT. WE HAD TO ADAPT TO THAT SO AS NOT TO THROW OURSELVES FORWARD IN OUR SEATS WHEN APPLYING THE BRAKES. BUT THAT'S NOT THE ISSUE NOW. THE ISSUE NOW IS ONE OF FEELING THE BRAKES CAN NOT BE TRUSTED, SO MUCH SO THAT SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE FIXED. TRUCK IS IN FOR SERVICE AS I TYPE. DEALER SAYS THEY HAVEN'T BEEN ABLE TO DUPLICATE WHAT I'VE REPORTED. THAT SEEMS TO BE THE NORM IN MANY CONSUMER COMPLAINTS I'VE RESEARCHED FROM OWNERS OF THIS VERY SAME VEHICLE, WITH MUCH OF THE SAME BRAKING ISSUES. SOME OF THOSE COMPLAINTS MENTIONED MINOR ACCIDENTS, AND OTHER EVASIVE ACTIONS NEEDED TO AVOID DAMAGE OR PERSONAL INJURY. MEANWHILE, I'M WAITING FOR DEALER'S NEXT RESPONSE.

AUGUST 2016 16400 MILES BRAKE PEDAL DROPPED TO FLOOR WITH VERY LIMITED BRAKING, HAD TO USE EMERGENCY BRAKE TO STOP VEHICLE. BROUGHT TO FORD DEALERSHIP, MASTER CYLINDER WAS REPLACED, ALL WAS GOOD UNTIL MAY 2017 WHEN PEDAL AGAIN DROPPED UNEXPECTEDLY. BROUGHT TO FORD DEALER, THEY HAD THE TRUCK FOR 5 WEEKS AND I WAS TOLD THERE WAS A COMPUTER ERROR BUT THEY COULD NOT REPLICATE THE PROBLEM AND I WAS GIVEN THE TRUCK BACK. JUNE 7TH 2017 PEDAL IS SLOWLY DROPPING TO THE FLOOR, BROUGHT IT BACK TO FORD, I WAS TOLD THAT IT IS NORMAL FOR THE PEDAL TO GO ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR. HE VEHICLE IS UNSAFE TO DRIVE.

THE VEHICLE HAS FAILED ELECTRONICALLY ON SEVERAL INSTANCES. GENERALLY THE CENTER CONTROL PANEL WILL NOT COME ON WHICH MEANS THE RADIO DOES NOT WORK. OTHER TIMES THE FAN BLOWER WILL ALSO NOT COME. IN THE WORST INSTANCE, NONE OF THE LIGHTS WILL COME ON NOR THE INSTRUMENT PANEL TO BE ABLE TO KNOW HOW FAST I AM DRIVING, TEMPERATURE, ALERTS, OR ANYTHING THAT NEEDS POWER OTHER THAN TO START/DRIVE THE TRUCK. I ALSO NOTED WHEN I SHIFTED GEARS ON THE TRANSMISSION, IT DID NOT INDICATE WHAT GEAR/DRIVING MODE THE VEHICLE WAS ACTUALLY IN. THIS HAS OCCURRED ON NO LESS THAN A HALF DOWN INSTANCES. THE DEALER HAS NOT BEEN ABLE TO REPLICATE THE ISSUE AS IT IS INTERMITTENT SINCE I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE BRAND NEW OFF THE LOT. IT HAS NOT OCCURRED AFTER EVERYTHING IS ALREADY OPERATIONAL WHILE DRIVING, ONLY AT STARTUP/IGNITION POINT. I HAVE ATTEMPTED TO RESET IT MULTIPLE TIMES BY TURNING THE VEHICLE OFF/ON AND REMOVING THE KEY FROM THE IGNITION BUT IT DOES NOT SEEM TO SOLVE THE PROBLEM AS IT RANDOMLY COMES ABOUT AND THEN RANDOMLY GOES AWAY. IT DOES NOT APPEAR TO BE AFFECTED BY BUMPS (LOOSE WIRE) OR EVEN TAPPING THE DASH TO SEE IF ANYTHING CHANGES. I HAVE ALSO PULLED THE MAIN FUSES THAT CONTROL THESE AREAS AND FOUND NO PROBLEMS WITH THE FUSES. RESETTING THE ENTIRE SYSTEM DID NOT ALSO HAVE AN AFFECT BY DISCONNECTING THE BATTERY BUT DID WORK IN ONE INSTANCE HOWEVER IT DID NOT IN OTHERS.
WITH A 1/4 TANK OF GAS OR 53 MILES TO E ON AN 8% DOWN HILL GRADE THE TRUCK WILL NOT PICK UP GAS FROM THE TANK AND THE ENGINE WILL SHUT OFF AS IF IT RAN OUT OF GAS.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VIN WAS NOT PROVIDED. THE CONTACT REPLACED THE TANK. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 15,000.
I WAS DRIVING DOWN A BUSY 3 LANE STREET, WHEN I TRIED TO APPLY MY BRAKES THE PEDAL WENT ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR AND DID VERY LITTLE TO SLOW THE TRUCK, THEN THE BRAKE FLUID LOW ALARM WENT OFF. I PULLED OFF THE ROAD INTO A PARKING LOT TO AVOID OTHER CARS AND APPLIED MY EMERGENCY BRAKE TO STOP. I CHECKED THE BRAKE FLUID RESERVOIR AND IT WAS EMPTY, SO I INSPECTED ALL AROUND UNDER THE TRUCK AND FOUND NO LEAKS OR SIGNS OF LEAKING. 3 DAYS BEFORE THIS I CALLED THE DEALERSHIP AND COMPLAINED THE BRAKES WERE STARTING TO MAKE SOME NOISE AND DIDNT FEEL QUIT RIGHT, THEY SAID ITS PROBABLY DUST AND BRAKES ARE NOT COVERED UNDER THE WARRANTY SO YOU WILL NEED TO PAY TO HAVE THEM CHECKED OUT. THIS TRUCK IS NOT EVEN A YEAR OLD! I DRIVE THIS TRUCK FOR WORK AND TO HAUL MY FAMILY IN IT, NOW I DON'T FEEL SAFE, I SHOULD HAVE NEVER SOLD MY OLD F150.
Truck has an oil pan leak which FORD will not repair, but requires me to pay for the oil leak. It was a manufacturing defect and believe in time this could cause a fire down the road if it's not fixed.

THE DEALER INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE DOOR WOULD NOT LATCH PROPERLY DUE TO THE COLD WEATHER AND THE CONTACT NEEDED TO PAY FOR THE DOOR LATCH REPLACEMENT. THE MANUFACTURER WAS INFORMED OF THE FAILURE, BUT OFFERED NO ASSISTANCE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 50,200.
FRONT SEAT BACKS GET EXTREMELY HOT AFTER RUNNING THE COOLING FEATURE FOR AN EXTENDED AMOUNT OF TIME. IT APPEARS TO BE A RESULT OF POOR EXHAUST PLUMBING FROM THE HEAT EXCHANGE SYSTEM. WHEN THE SYSTEM CREATES COOL AIR FOR THE SEAT IT ALSO CREATES A STREAM OF HEATED AIR, THIS HEATED AIR IS DUMPED INTO THE REAR OF THE SEAT BACK AND ACCUMULATES GETTING HOTTER AND HOTTER. THIS RESULTS IN POOR EFFICIENCY OF THE SYSTEM. THE DRIVER'S BACK STARTS TO BE HEATED RATHER THAN COOLED WHICH MAY BE A SAFETY HAZARD IF IT RESULTS IN THE DRIVER'S LACK OF CONCENTRATION. THE SYSTEM MAY OVERHEAT IF LEFT ON TOO LONG (I NEVER LEFT IT ON LONG ENOUGH TO TEST). ALSO, IF LONG ITEMS ARE KEPT IN THE POCKET ALONG THE BACK OF THE SEAT, THEY MAY GET HOT ENOUGH TO CAUSE INJURY TO SOMEONE WHO TOUCHES THEM.
I HAVE TAKEN MY 2016 FORD F-150 IN TO HAVE THE RADIO FIXED THREE TIME, BECAUSE WHEN I GO TO START MY TRUCK THE RADIO DOESN'T POWER UP. IT HAS JUST A BLANK SCREEN. Dangerous hop that I was experiencing and would happen on a straight away going down the interstate. I did not have to be hitting a corner for the back end to hop sideways on me. It also would happen going around a slight corner. So pretty much, it happened no matter what when Id hit bumps at higher speeds. But it most definitely was a dangerous scenario for my truck and Ford should not take that lightly. But the chances of them coming up with a fix anytime soon is not likely. The shocks they come up with still do not do as good of job in front or the rear. Complete loss of the vehicle going around of the vehicle, which feels as its fishtailing or hitting black ice. I have replaced the original shocks hoping it would help, and new struts did not solve my problem. The only alternative is to purchase expensive suspension all together. The dealer should be made accountable for providing poor quality suspension which can result in the serios vehicle accident if the driver loses control.
FOR THE LAST YEAR MY CAR HAVE BEEN LEAKING FUMES AND SMELLING OF CARBON MONOXIDE. I HAVE COMPLAINED TO MISSION VALLEY FORD, BIG VALLEY FORD AND ALL STAR FORD. WHEN I START THE VEHICLE THERE IS WHITE SMOKE AND A STRONG FUME. THEY SAID IT'S THE ECOBOOST. SECONDLY THE TURBO THEY SAY HAS GONE OUT ALREADY AT 87K MILES AND I BELIEVE THE SMELL AND THE TURBO IS CONNECTED.

THE TRANSMISSION WILL NOT SHIFT AND WILL START TO BOG THE VEHICLE DOWN WHEN GOING UP A GRADE, STOP AND GO TRAFFIC OR PULLING A LIGHT LOAD. STEADILY INCREASING THE ACCELERATOR DOES NOT HELP THE TRUCK MAINTAIN OR INCREASE SPEED, ONLY TOTALLY FLOOR-BOARDING THE ACCELERATOR ALLOWS THE TRUCK TO SPEED UP. THE FORD DEALER HAS CHECKED THE VEHICLE AT LEAST 3 TIMES AND SAID THE COMPUTER COULD NOT FIND ANY THING WRONG. THE PROBLEM STARTED WITH LESS THAN 6,000 MILES ON THE TRUCK AND IS NOT AN ISSUE UNLESS IN THE PREVIOUSLY MENTIONED SITUATIONS. THE PROBLEM HAS NOT HAPPENED WHEN TEST DRIVING AT THE DEALERSHIP.
