DOOR LOCKS FREEZING IN COLD TEMPERATURES, UNABLE TO ENTER VEHICLE, ALSO DOORS WONT LATCH CLOSED IN FREEZING TEMPERATURES, HAVE TO HOLD DOOR CLOSED WHILE DRIVING. *TR
THE DOOR LOCKS AND LATCHES WILL NOT WORK IN FREEZING WEATHER. THERE ARE OTHER ISSUES SUCH AS THE WINDSHIELD WASHER FLUID CHECK VALVE FREEZING...HUGE IN ICEY CONDITIONS BECAUSE IF YOU DON'T HAVE A WAY TO CLEAN WINDOW IN CAR U ARE UNABLE TO SEE WELL. ON MINE IT IS THE DRIVER'S DOOR LATCH SO YOU CANNOT GET DOOR TO STAY CLOSED. KNOW ISSUE BUT RESPONSE BY FORD AND HOW THEY ARE HANDLING IS A FAILURE!! THE PARTS ARE OUT TO MARCH AND THEY WANT U TO JUST DEAL WITH IT.
VEHICLE IS A SUPERCREW (4 DOOR). DOOR LOCKS DO NOT LATCH IN WEATHER BELOW FREEZING. THANKFULLY, VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY WHEN DISCOVERED. THERE IS A FORD TSB ALREADY (TSB 16-0155). DEALER APPLIED A "TEMPORARY" FIX BECAUSE PARTS ARE NOT AVAILABLE, BUT I WOULD THINK THE DOORS STAYING CLOSED PROPERLY SHOULD BE A LARGER ISSUE THAN A TSB.
UNDER FREEZING CONDITIONS, PASSENGER DOOR WILL NOT RE-LATCH CLOSED AFTER BEING OPENED FROM THE OUTSIDE. THE PASSENGER DOOR WILL OPEN USING THE OUTSIDE HANDLE, BUT WILL NOT SECURELY LATCH CLOSED. THE ISSUE RESOLVES AS TEMPERATURE WARMS UP.
I WAS SITTING STILL AS I WAITED IN A DRIVE THROUGH LINE WITH MY TRUCK IN DRIVE AND MY FOOT ON THE BRAKE, WHEN SUDDENLY THE BRAKE PEDAL PUSHED ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR. SCARY. I TRIED TO PUMP THE BRAKE - THE PEDAL PUMPED ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR SEVERAL TIMES BEFORE IT CAUGHT AND BEGAN BEHAVING AS EXPECTED. THE WAS NO SOUND OR ALARM FROM THE CONSOLE DURING ALL OF THIS. THE DEALERSHIP REPLACED THE MASTER CYLINDER AS A WARRANTY REPAIR. THEY HAD NO COMMENT ABOUT WHETHER THIS WAS A RECALL. I ASKED IF THE PART NUMBER WAS DIFFERENT ON THE REPLACED PART AND THEY TOLD ME IT WAS. REPLACEMENT PART WAS GL3Z-2140-A CYLINDER ASY ALONG WITH PM-20 FLUID - BRAKE. *TR
I HAVE A 2016 F150 3.5 ECOBOOST WITH 14000 MILES, LAST NIGHT AS I WAS GOING HOME, I WAS GOING DOWN A LITTLE HILL LIKE I DID MANY TIMES BEFORE AS I APPROACHED THE STOP SIGN AT THE BOTTOM OF THE HILL I STARTED TO PUSH ON MY BRAKES THEN AS THE TRUCK WAS ABOUT TO COME TO A STOP OUT OF NOWHERE IT SEEMED LIKE MY TRUCK LOST PRESSURE OR SOMETHING CAUSE THEN MY BRAKE PEDAL SUNK IN ALL THE WAY IN !!! WITH THE TRUCK GAINING MOMENTUM AGAIN WITH QUICK THINKING I STEPPED ON THE PARKING BRAKE RIGHT NEXT TO THE BRAKE PEDAL AND CAME TO A STOP!!! ME AND MY GIRLFRIEND WERE SCARED WE WERE A MILE AWAY FROM MY HOUSE I CAREFULLY DROVE THE TRUCK HOME AND AT THREE STOP LIGHTS, I STOPPED AND I PRESSED THE BREAK AND I WAS WAITING FOR THE LIGHT TO TURN GREEN I PUSHED THE BRAKE IN A LITTLE BIT MORE THEN THE BREAK WOULD SINK IN ALL THE WAY IN. I GOGGLED THE SITUATION TO FIND OUT THAT THEY ARE INVESTIGATING THIS MATTER, THIS IS THE SECOND TIME FORD HAS LET ME DOWN I HAD A 2006 LINCOLN MARK LT SAME SITUATION HAPPENED TO ME IT HAD A RECALL ON THE BRAKE BOOSTER, I HAVE ALREADY CALL FORD CUSTOMER SERVICE TO MAKE A COMPLAINT, FORD THIS IS MY FAMILY TRUCK I DRIVE MY DAUGHTER IN THIS TRUCK THAT'S THE ONLY TIME I DRIVE IT , WITH PAYING 50000 ON A TRUCK I DESERVE A GOOD QUALITY TRUCK CAUSE JUST LIKE YALL BE RAISING THE PRICES LIKE NOTHING WE THE PEOPLE DESERVE A GOOD QUALITY TRUCK!!!
WHILE DRIVING, I EXPERIENCED A SUDDEN LOSS OF BRAKING ABILITY IN A FORD F-150 2016 3.5L V6 ECOBOOST WITH 10,600 MILES ON THE ENGINE. PEDAL, WHEN PRESSED ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR, PROVIDED SOME ABILITY TO SLOW DOWN IN GREAT LENGTH, BUT NO ABILITY TO COMPLETE STOP IN A TIMELY MANNER. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 FORD F-150. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE DOORS FAILED TO REMAIN CLOSED. THE CONTACT HAD TO SECURE THE DOORS WITH THE SEAT BELTS. IN WARMER WEATHER, THE DOORS FUNCTIONED NORMALLY AND WOULD SECURELY CLOSE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FAILURE WAS SIMILAR TO THE SYMPTOMS LISTED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 17V652000 (LATCHES/LOCKS/LINKAGES). THE DEALER (IMPERIAL FORD, 8 UXBRIDGE RD, MENDON, MA 01756, (888) 814-8373) DIAGNOSED THE FAILURE AND EXTENDED THE CONTACT'S WARRANTY WHILE THEY FIGURED OUT A SOLUTION. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED WHEN THE WEATHER BECAME COLD. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. THE CONTACT WAS UNABLE TO CONTACT THE CASE MANAGER WHO WAS ASSIGNED BY THE MANUFACTURER. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 20,000.
I HAVE BEEN LOCKED OUT OF THE TRUCK SEVERAL TIMES IN THE PAST MONTH WHEN IT HAS BEEN COLD AND SOME OF THE TIMES WHEN I COULD ACTUALLY GET BACK IN, THE DOORS THEN WOULD NOT LATCH SHUT UNTIL THE VEHICLE COMPLETELY WARMED UP ENOUGH TO "THAW" THE LOCKS. BUT OFTEN THE ISSUE WOULD COME RIGHT BACK ONCE THE TRUCK WAS COLD AGAIN. I UNDERSTAND THERE IS A TSB ABOUT THIS ON 2015 AND 2016 TRUCKS (16-0155) BUT I HAVE BEEN TOLD THE PARTS ARE NOT AVAILABLE UNTIL AROUND FEB 1 AND THAT THE SERVICE TAKES ATLEAST 5 HRS TO PERFORM
MY DOORS FAIL TO RE-LATCH AFTER OPENING DURING COLD WEATHER. MY DOORS HAVE OPENED WHILE DRIVING SEVERAL TIMES WHEN THE DOOR IS CLOSED AND LOCKED WITHOUT ANYONE TOUCHING THE DOOR LATCH. *TR

THE CONTACT CALLED KOONS FORD OF BALTIMORE (LOCATED AT 6970 SECURITY BLVD, WINDSOR MILL, MD 21244, 410-298-3800), BUT THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE COULD NOT BE DETERMINED. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 33,000. THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN.
DURING FREEZING CONDITIONS, MY FACTORY WASHER FLUID WOULD NOT PUMP. IT APPEARED FROZEN, AS WHEN THE TEMPERATURES ROSE, IT STARTED WORKING AGAIN. THIS HAPPENED WITH ABOUT 1000 MILES ON THE TRUCK, AND STILL HAVING THE FACTORY WIPER FLUID.
WHENEVER OUTSIDE TEMPERATURE IS BELOW FREEZING THE DRIVERS DOOR WILL NOT LATCH AT ALL AND HAS TO BE HELD CLOSED WHILE DRIVING. WHEN THE TEMPERATURE OF THE DOOR WARMS THE LATCH FUNCTIONS NORMALLY. THIS HAS HAPPENED AT LEAST SIX TIMES AND I HAVE IT DOCUMENTED ON VIDEO HOWEVER THE FILE IS TO LARGE TO ATTACH I CAN EMAIL IT ANOTHER WAY IF NEEDED WHEN I'M CONTACTED. *TR
WHILE THE VEHICLE IS IN MOTION THERE IS A CONSTANT RATTLING COMING FROM THE PANORAMIC SUNROOF WHILE IT IS CLOSED.
VEHICLE HAS BEEN INTO DEALER MULTIPLE TIMES FOR ISSUES WITH DOOR AND TAILGATE MECHANISMS FREEZING AND BECOMING INOPERABLE IN TEMPERATURES UNDER 32 DEGREES. DOORS WILL FREEZE AND 'LOCK' ME OUT OF THE VEHICLE -OR- THE DOORS WILL OPEN BUT NOT LATCH SHUT UPON CLOSING. FORD HAS ISSUED A RECALL FOR THIS WIDELY-KNOWN ISSUE, BUT MY VEHICLE'S VIN IS NOT INCLUDED. THE DEALER HAS BEEN GREAT AT EXPERIMENTING WITH VARIOUS PART REPLACEMENTS, BUT THEY HAVE RECEIVED LIMITED GUIDANCE FROM FORD IN ORDER TO SOLVE THIS PROBLEM FOR GOOD.
PASSENGER SIDE REAR DOOR WOULD NOT CLOSE IN COLD WEATHER. HAD TO HOLD DOOR SHUT AND USE THE KEY FOB TO TRY AND LOCK THE DOOR. AFTER SEVERAL ATTEMPTS IT FINALLY LOCKED. COUPLE DAYS LATER. NONE OF THE DOORS WOULD OPEN. TEMP AROUND 18 DEGREES. TRIED TO UNLOCK WITH KEY FOB, NOTHING. LOCKS WOULD NOT BUDGE, DOORS WOULDN'T OPEN. NEXT DAY LEFT REAR PASSENGER DOOR WOULD NOT LATCH SHUT. HAD TO DRIVE TO WORK WITH A BUNGEE CORD HOLDING THE DOOR SHUT. NEXT DAY DOORS WOULD NOT OPEN AGAIN, FROZEN SHUT 19-20 DEGREES OUT. HAS HAPPENED ON NUMEROUS OCCASIONS. ONCE IT WARMS UP SLIGHTLY EVERYTHING WORKS FINE. TOOK IT TO THE DEALER, HEY ORDERED PARTS, MAYBE THE END OF FEBRUARY. I HAD TO PUT MY 8 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER IN THE FRONT SEAT BECAUSE I COULD NOT GET THE REAR DOORS TO LATCH SHUT.

THE LOCAL DEALER (FREEDOM FORD WV, 501 MARY JANE WOOD CIRCLE, UNIVERSITY TOWN CENTRE, MORGANTOWN, WV 26501) WAS CONTACTED AND CONFIRMED THAT THE PARTS WERE NOT AVAILABLE FOR THE RECALL REMEDY. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE AND WAS NOT ABLE TO CONFIRM WHEN THE PARTS WERE TO BECOME AVAILABLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 5,000. PARTS DISTRIBUTION DISCONNECT. *TT *TR
DOORS AND TAILGATE FAIL TO LOCK AND UNLOCK IN COLD WEATHER. MAKING IT IMPOSSIBLE TO GET IN OR OUT OF TRUCK IN AN EMERGENCY.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 FORD F-150. IN COLD WEATHER, THE FRONT DRIVER SIDE DOOR WAS DIFFICULT TO OPEN AND FAILED TO LATCH. THE CONTACT WAS REQUIRED TO SECURE THE DOOR FROM THE INSIDE IN ORDER FOR THE DOOR TO NOT OPEN WHILE DRIVING. THE FAILURE OCCURRED ONLY DURING COLD WEATHER CONDITIONS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE FRONT DRIVER SIDE DOOR LATCH, THE FRONT DRIVER AND PASSENGER SHIELDS, AND THE FRONT DRIVER AND PASSENGER RODS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED DUE TO THE PARTS NOT BEING AVAILABLE. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT IT HAD BEEN TWO WEEKS SINCE THE PARTS WERE ORDERED AND WERE NOT AVAILABLE FOR THE REPAIR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 13,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
I WENT OUT TO MY TRUCK THIS AM TO GO TO WORK AT 6AM - 22 DEGREES. I HAD STARTED MY TRUCK REMOTELY A COUPLE OF MINUTES PRIOR. I OPENED THE DRIVER DOOR AND IT WOULD NOT LATCH CLOSED WHEN I TRIED TO CLOSE THE DOOR. I WENT TO PASSENGER SIDE, IT OPENED BUT WOULD NOT LATCH. I TURNED THE ENGINE OFF, EXITED TRUCK, DOOR STILL WOULD NOT LATCH SHUT. I LEFT IT SIT FOR A BIT. CAME BACK AN HOUR LATER AND DOORS STILL WOULD NOT LATCH SHUT. I THEN CLOSED THE DOORS, UNLOCKED THE LOCKS WITH REMOTE, LOCKED THE DOORS, DOORS WERE NOW LATCHED SHUT BUT NOW CANNOT UNLOCK DOORS WITH REMOTE.
DOOR LOCKS FREEZING IN COLD (<32%) WEATHER. THIS IS MOSTLY A MAJOR INCONVENIENCE, BUT COULD, GIVEN THE RIGHT CIRCUMSTANCES, BE A SAFETY ISSUE WHERE IMMEDIATE INGRESS/EGRESS IS REQUIRED.
WHEN THE OUTSIDE TEMPERATURE DROPPED THE VEHICLE LOCKS AND DOOR LATCHES STOPPED WORKING. THE DOORS WILL NOT LATCH, WHICH PREVENTS ME FROM SECURELY CLOSING THEM. THIS IS EFFECTING ALL OF THE DOORS. TEMPERATURE IS 32 AND BELOW.
PASSENGER SIDE DOOR WON'T LOCK SHUT ON 2016 F150 SUPERCREW. THE LATCH DOESN'T SEEM TO ENGAGE AND LOCK. THE DOOR SHUTS BUT BOUNCES BACK OPEN. IT STARTED IN VERY COLD TEMPS, MAYBE TEMP IS TO BLAME?
TWO OCCASIONS (OVERNIGHT TEMPERATURES LESS THAN 32F WITH LIGHT RAIN AND FREEZING FOG) - BOTH REAR DOORS (CREW CAB) WERE FROZEN SHUT AND FAILED TO OPEN FIRST THING IN THE MORNING. ON ONE OCCASION, BOTH REAR DOORS OPERATED NORMALLY AFTER THE ENGINE WARMED UP AND INTERIOR TEMPERATURE ROSE TO 72F. ON THE SECOND OCCASION, THE DRIVER'S SIDE REAR DOOR BECAME AJAR (NOT LATCHED AT ALL) ABOUT 10 MINUTES AFTER LEAVING HOME AND WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD. THE DOOR SWUNG OPEN WHEN TURNING RIGHT ON A CURVE IN THE ROAD. TWO OCCASIONS (OVERNIGHT TEMPERATURES LESS THAN 32F WITH LIGHT RAIN OR FREEZING FOG): WHILE ENTERING A MILITARY INSTALLATION, THE DRIVER'S DOOR POWER WINDOW WOULD NOT OPEN (FROZEN SHUT). I OPENED THE DRIVER'S DOOR TO SHOW MY ID TO THE GATE GUARD AND THE DOOR FAILED TO LATCH SHUT. IT OCCURRED ABOUT 10 MINUTES AFTER LEAVING HOME WITH THE INTERIOR WARM (72F). I USED A BUNGEE CORD STRETCHED BETWEEN THE DRIVER AND PASSENGER DOOR HANDLES TO HOLD THE DOOR SHUT WHILE DRIVING SEVERAL MORE MILES TO WORK. I WAS ABLE TO SHUT THE DRIVER'S DOOR AFTER ARRIVING AT WORK AND CYCLING THE POWER DOOR LOCKS AND HANDLE SEVERAL TIMES. THREE OF THE FOUR INSTANCES ARE SAFETY ISSUES SINCE THE DOORS EITHER UNLATCHED OR FAILED TO LATCH SHUT WHILE DRIVING. ALL DOORS OPERATE NORMALLY WHEN TEMPERATURES ARE ABOVE 32F. IT IS UNCOMMON FOR TEMPERATURES TO DROP BELOW 32F IN MY AREA SO THE PROBLEM CANNOT BE EASILY REPRODUCED. *TR
DURING TEMPERATURES BELOW FREEZING (32 F) ONE OR MORE OF THE DOOR LOCKS AND/OR LATCHES WILL FREEZE AND BECOME INOPERABLE. POWER LOCK BUTTONS WILL NOT FUNCTION TO UNLOCK THE DOOR AND DOOR HANDLES WILL NOT OPEN THE DOORS (FROM THE OUTSIDE). DOORS HAVE TO BE UNLOCKED FROM THE INSIDE, BY MANUALLY CYCLING THE PULL KNOB MULTIPLE TIMES TO LOOSEN THE FROZEN LOCK. FROZEN DOOR LATCHES ARE ONLY ABLE TO BE OPENED FROM THE INSIDE (USING THE INSIDE HANDLES). AT TIMES, THE FROZEN DOOR LOCKS AND LATCHES WILL NOT RE-SECURE THE DOORS AND THE DOORS WILL NOT LOCK OR THE LATCH WILL NOT SECURE AND THE DOOR WILL REMAIN UNSECURED/OPEN AND/OR UNLOCKED. TWICE I HAVE HAD THE DOORS POP OPEN WHILE DRIVING. *TR
THE BRAKE PEDAL IS GOING ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR WITH LITTLE RESISTANCE AND NO WARNINGS ON THE DASH. IT STARTED ON 12-14-2016 AND HAS HAPPENED MANY TIMES BETWEEN THE 14TH AND THE 17TH. SINCE THEN THEY APPEAR TO BE WORKING AS DESIGNED. WHEN THEY WERE ACTING UP WITH THE TRUCK IN PARK OR MOVING I COULD PUSH THE PEDDLE ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR BOARD WITH LITTLE RESISTANCE. *TR
THE DOORS (ALL 4) FREEZE IN TEMP BELOW 30 DEGREES. FORD REPLACED THE HARDWARE 4 TIMES AND THEY STILL FREEZE. AFTER YOU OPEN THE DOORS THEY WILL NOT CLOSE UNTIL THEY THAW. WHILE DRIVING ON 2 OCCASIONS THE DOORS FLEW OPEN WHILE MOVING. NOW USE DUCT TAPE TO HOLD DOORS CLOSED
The contact owns a 2016 Ford F-150. The contact stated while driving at various speeds, extra effort was needed while depressing the brake pedal to slow and stop the vehicle. The contact stated there was no warning light illuminated. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. The contact was relating the failure to NHTSA campaign number: 20V332000 (Service Brakes, Hydraulic). The manufacturer had been informed of the failure and referred the contact to the NHTSA for assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 3,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 FORD F-150. WHILE DRIVING 40-45 MPH, THE DRIVER'S DOOR INDEPENDENTLY OPENED. AFTER NUMEROUS ATTEMPTS AND APPROXIMATELY 30 MINUTES LATER, THE DOOR LATCHED. I RECENTLY PURCHASED A NEW 2016 FORD F150 XLT 2.7L ECOBOOST TRUCK. ON DECEMBER 6, 2016 I WAS INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT WITH THIS VEHICLE. I FEEL THAT THIS TRUCK DID NOT ADEQUATELY STOP IN AN EMERGENCY SITUATION WITH AMPLE STOPPING DISTANCE. I HAVE DRIVEN TRUCKS OF THIS SAME SIZE TOWING A BOAT AND UNDER AN EMERGENCY SITUATIONS GOING DOWNHILL AND HAVE BEEN ABLE TO STOP WITH LESS DISTANCE THAN I HAD WITH THIS TRUCK TOWING ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. I WAS NOT SPEEDING AND ONLY TRAVELING BETWEEN 30 TO 35 MILES AN HOUR ON A FOUR LANE HIGHWAY WHICH IS CURRENTLY UNDER CONSTRUCTION, THE SPEED LIMIT FOR THIS AREA IS 45 RIGHT NOW BECAUSE OF THIS CONSTRUCTION. I WAS TRAVELING IN THE LEFT HAND LANE PLANNING TO MAKE A LEFT HAND TURN ONTO A ROAD THAT WAS A FEW MILES AWAY AT A MAIN INTERSECTION. SEVERAL VEHICLES AHEAD OF ME SOME INDIVIDUAL DECIDED THEY WERE GOING TO JUST MAKE A LEFT HAND TURN TO GET TO A STREET CLEAR ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE HIGHWAY CAUSING EVERYONE BEHIND THEM TO SLAM ON THEIR BRAKES, HAVING TWO TO THREE CAR LENGTHS IN FRONT OF ME I HAD SLAMMED ON THE BRAKES AND THE TRUCK WAS SLOWING DOWN BUT NOT FAST ENOUGH SO THEN I PUT MY OTHER FOOT ON THE BRAKES AND STOOD ON THE BRAKES HOLDING THE STEERING WHEEL AND STILL THE TRUCK WAS NOT STOPPING ABSOLUTELY NO CHANGE IN THE RESPONSE OF IT BREAKING, KEEP IN MIND I WAY AROUND 235 LBS. I JUST DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY MY BRAND NEW TRUCK WITHOUT EVEN HAVING ITS FIRST OIL CHANGE HAS FAILED TO STOP AND EVERY OTHER VEHICLE ON THE ROAD WITH LESS DISTANCE THAN ME WAS ABLE TO STOP . I WAS ALSO PONDERING IF THE ECOBOOST SYSTEM MAY HAVE CONTRIBUTED TO IT SOMEHOW WITH THE START AND STOPPING OF THE MOTOR CAUSING SOME SORT OF PRESSURE LOSS IN THE SYSTEM. I NO LONGER TRUST THIS VEHICLE, I HAVE DRIVEN FORD TRUCKS FOR OVER 20 YEARS. *TR
I BOUGHT THE TRUCK IN JULY WITH 63 MILES ON IT. A MONTH OR SO LATER I NOTICED THE BRAKE PEDAL GOING TO THE FLOOR WHEN STOPPED AT A TRAFFIC LIGHT. I TOOK TO THE DEALER AND THEY LOOKED AT IT AND TOLD ME IT WAS NORMAL FOR THE PEDAL TO GO TO THE FLOOR UNDER PRESSURE BECAUSE THE SYSTEM CALCULATED HOW MUCH PRESSURE WAS NEEDED TO STOP THE VEHICLE. TODAY 12-6-2016 I WAS DRIVING THE TRUCK AND THE PEDAL WENT TO THE FLOOR WHEN STOPPING, WHILE THE TRUCK WAS STILL MOVING. I DROPPED IT OFF AT THE DEALER THIS MORNING AND WILL HAVE TO WAIT AND SEE WHAT THEY SAY. I THINK IT IS A BAD MASTER CYLINDER AND THINK THE STORY ABOUT THE COMPUTER CONTROLLING THE BRAKES IS JUST TO GET ME OUT OF THE SHOP. *TR
PURCHASED TRUCK NEW, AT AROUND 5000 MILES THE DRIVERS DOOR WOULD NOT CLOSE, AFTER REPEATEDLY SLAMING THE DOOR THE LATCH FINALLY LATCHED, IT HAPPEND SEVERAL TIMES SINCE. I TOOK IT TO THE DEALER THEY SAID I NEEDED NEW LATCHES IN BOTH DOORS. THAY SAID IT IS A ISSUE ON ONLY THE UPPER LEVELS. AFTER WAITING A WEEK I TOOK THE TRUCK IN THAN THEY TOLD ME SOME OF THE PARTS ARE ON BACK ORDER AND DON'T KNOW WHEN THEY WILL RECEIVE THEM. I LEFT THE TRUCK UNTIL THEY GET IT FIXED. SEEMS LIKE A MAJOR SAFTY ISSUE IF YOU HAVE TO DRIVE WITH THE DOOR OPEN.
NAVIGATION SYSTEM. FORD HAS NOT MADE AVAILABLE AN UPDATED NAVIGATION MAP FOR THE 2016-2018 F150, EXPEDITION AND PROBABLY OTHER VEHICLES INCLUDING LINCOLN THAT I AM NOT AWARE OF. THE DEALERS SEEM TO BE IN THE DARK ABOUT THIS SUBJECT AND NO WORD FROM FORD EITHER. I HAVE HAD TO QUIT USING MY NAV SYSTEM FOR FEAR THAT IT WILL DIRECT ME TO A STREET THAT HAS BEEN REMOVED DUE TO NEW CONSTRUCTION OR THROUGH AN UNSAFE PART OF TOWN WHEN NEWER SAFER OPTIONS ARE AVAILABLE. THERE ARE TIMES WHEN I WOULD LOOK AT MY NAV SCREEN AND IT LOOKED LIKE I WAS DRIVING IN THE MIDDLE OF A FIELD WITH NO ROADS AROUND ME. IT'S AN UNSETTLING FEELING WHEN DRIVING THRU A STRANGE TOWN AT NIGHT. THIS ISSUE IS ALL OVER THE FORD FORUMS AND I THINK MANY OF US WOULD LIKE TO SEE THIS ISSUE RESOLVED BEFORE SOMEONE GETS ;OUT AND HURT OR WORSE. THIS HAPPENS WHEN DRIVING AND IT HAPPENS ANYWHERE THERE HAS BEEN NEW CONSTRUCTION OR DEMOLITION. IT HAPPENS EVERYDAY AT ALL SPEEDS, IT HAS BEEN AN ISSUE SINCE THE DAY THE TRUCK WENT INTO SERVICE 5/30/16. IT WAS DELIVERED WITH AN OUT DATED NAV MAP.YOU SEE THIS ON THE NEWS FROM TIME TO TIME WHERE THE NAV/GPS SENDS SOMEONE THE WRONG DIRECTION AND SOMETHING BAD HAPPENS TO THEM. ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED. I AM SURE THERE ARE THOUSANDS, OR 10'S OF THOUSANDS OF VEHICLES WITH THIS SAME PROBLEM.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 FORD F-150. AFTER PURCHASING THE VEHICLE, THE CONTACT DISCOVERED THAT THE LIFT KIT AND BRAKE LINES WERE NOT INSTALLED CORRECTLY. THE CONTACT NOTIFIED THE DEALER AND ADVISED THE CONTACT TO BRING THE VEHICLE BACK TO THE DEALER FOR REPAIRS; HOWEVER, THE CONTACT WAS NOT LOCATED NEAR THE DEALER. WHILE VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION. OPERATING OK AND THEN ENGINE STARTED TO SHUDDER AND CONTINUED TO DO SO. WEATHER WAS CLEAR 75 DEGREES AND SUN SHINE. - ENGINE LIGHT IS ON. ECOBOOST ENGINE WITH 4,200 MILES. I TURNED THE AC OFF STILL SHUDDERS. THIS HAS GONE ON NOW FOR 3 DAYS. I AM TAKING DO DEALER TOMORROW 28NOV2016.
WHEN COLD ENOUGH, DOOR WILL NOT LATCH AND SOMETIMES OPENS WHILE DRIVING
WHEN STATIONARY, THE TRUCK BACK PASSENGER SIDE DOOR DOES NOT ALWAYS CLOSE. THE DRIVER SIDE FRONT DOOR DOES NOT STAY OPEN WHEN ON A MINOR GRADE AND STATIONARY. THE DEALER TOOK THE VEHICLE TO A BODY SHOP TO ALIGN THE DOORS, AS THEY WERE OFF ALIGNMENT ABOUT 1/8-1/4". WHEN I COMPALINED THAT THE DRIVER SIDE DOOR WAS STILL MISALIGNED I WAS TOLD THAT "THESE ARE MASS PRODUCED AND THIS JUST HAPPENS". I RECENTLY RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE ABOUT THE DOORS COMING OPEN WHILE DRIVING, NOT SHUTTING COMPLETELY, ETC. I CALLED FORD MOTOR CO AND TOLD THEM I'D ALREADY HAD THE DOOR ISSUES ADDRESSED ONCE. I WAS TOLD THAT I COULD MAKE ANOTHER APPOINTMENT WHEN THE CORRECT PARTS WERE DELIVERED TO MY DEALER. I ASKED IF A RENTAL CAR WOULD BE AUTHORIZED. THE ANSWER WAS NO. I ASKED IF I SHOULD DRIVE THE VEHICLE AND WAS TOLD THAT WAS MY CALL. SO, NO PARTS, NO FIX, POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS SITUATION, AND NO RECOURSE WITH FORD. ANY ADVICE?
WHEN APPROACHING A STOP LIGHT, MY BRAKE PEDAL JUST WENT TO THE FLOOR. I MADE IT TO A PARKING LOT WITH SPONGY BRAKES. ONCE IN A PARKING SPACE, WHEN PRESSURE WAS APPLIED TO THE PEDAL, THE PEDAL SLOWLY WENT COMPLETELY TO THE FLOOR.
THE BRAKE PEDAL WENT ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR. I WAS IN A PARKING LOT AND HAD TO PUMP THE BRAKES SEVERAL TIMES TO HAVE PRESSURE. THERE WERE NO WARNING LIGHTS OR SIGNALS. DROVE HOME CAREFULLY AND CUT OFF THE VEHICLE. RESTARTED THE TRUCK AGAIN AND HAD THE SAME PROBLEM. I WAS GETTTING READY TO GO OUT OF TOWN TOWING A 7000 POUND CAMPER. IF THE BRAKES HAD FAILED WHILE TOWING THE CAMPER IT COULD HAVE BEEN DEADLY. THE TRUCK WAS TOWED TO THE DEALERSHIP AND THE MASTER CYLINDER WAS REPLACED. READ ON LINE THERE HAD BEEN A RECALL ON THE 2013 & 2014 F-150S MASTER CYLINDER BUT NOT ON THE 2015 & 2016. THERE NEEDS TO BE A RECALL !!!! I OWNED THE TRUCK FOR APPROXIMATELY 9 MONTHS AND IT HAD 9700 MILES ON IT WHEN THIS OCCURRED.
I NOTICED A FAINT SMELL OF GAS WHILE DRIVING THE VEHICLE AND AFTER A FEW MILES A CAR NEXT TO ME AT A STOPLIGHT ASKED ME TO ROLL DOWN MY WINDOW. THEY TOLD ME MY TRUCK WAS LEAKING GAS ALL OVER THE ROAD SO I IMMEDIATELY PULLED OVER AND CALLED FOR HELP. IT WAS TOWED TO A DEALERSHIP WHERE THEY TOLD ME A FUEL LINE FITTING WAS LOOSE WHICH CAUSED THE LEAK. MY FRUSTRATION WAS THIS WAS A NEW VEHICLE WITH ONLY 1500 MILES. THE LEAK WAS SEVERE ENOUGH TO DRAIN A FULL TANK OF GAS PRIOR TO BEING REPAIRED. *TR
JUST BOUGHT OUR TRUCK 3 WEEKS AGO AND THE REAR-CAMERA WENT OUT. FROUGHT IT INTO THE DEALER AND THEY FOUND THAT THE CAMERA HARNESS WAS CHEWED BY A RODENT AND HAD TO REPLACE THE HARNESS. PER MESSAGES OFF THE WEBSITE, FOUND THAT ALL WIRE HARNESSES IN FORD TRUCKS AND OTHER VEHICLES, HAVE A SOY COATING ON THEM THAT ATTRACTS RODENTS. IF THIS IS HAPPENING TO ALL VEHICLES NOW OF DAYS, THEY BETTER FIND A DIFFERENT WAY TO COAT WIRES IN ALL VEHICLES. MAJOR PROBLEM AND VERY COSTLY. IT WILL RUN US $1800.00 FOR THE FIX AND ITS A BRAND NEW TRUCK.
TO WHOM THIS MAY CONCERN, ON NOVEMBER 18TH WHILE DRIVING WITH MY THREE CHILDREN, THE BRAKES ON MY 2016 FORD F150 FAILED. WHEN APPROACHING A STOP LIGHT, I PUSHED THE BRAKE PEDAL ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR WITHOUT SLOWING. I VEERED THE TRUCK INTO THE LEFT TURN LANE IN ORDER TO AVOID REAR ENDING THE VEHICLE IN FRONT OF ME. THE TRUCK SLOWLY CAME TO A STOP BY THE TIME I REACHED THE LIGHT. LUCKILY THERE WERE NOT ANY VEHICLES IN THE LEFT TURN LANE. ON 11/19/16, I TOOK THE TRUCK INTO MY LOCAL FORD DEALER AND THEY REPLACED THE MASTER CYLINDER. AFTER DOING SOME RESEARCH, I WAS DISAPPOINTED TO FIND THAT MULTIPLE OWNERS HAVE ALREADY HAD THIS SAME ISSUE. I WOULD EXPECT SUCH A POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS PROBLEM WITH THE TRUCK WOULD ILLICIT A RECALL. THIS IS THE FOURTH FORD F150 VEHICLE I HAVE OWNED. THIS TRUCK WAS AN EXPENSIVE VEHICLE AND I AM DISAPPOINTED TO HAVE HAD SUCH A SERIOUS MALFUNCTION AFTER DRIVING IT FOR ONLY 7,300 MILES. I AM EVEN MORE DISAPPOINTED IN THE COMPANY FOR BEING AWARE OF AN ISSUE AND NOT HAVING TAKEN ACTION. MY THREE-MONTH-OLD 2016 FORD F150, HAS 10,000 MILES ON IT. I BOUGHT IT BRAND NEW, WITH 9 MILES ON THE ODOMETER. UP UNTIL FRIDAY, 11-18-16, IT HAD BEEN A PRETTY GOOD VEHICLE. ON THE AFOREMENTIONED DATE, WHEN APPROACHING A STOPLIGHT, I APPLIED THE BRAKES. MUCH TO MY DISMAY, THE PEDAL WENT TO THE FLOOR & THE TRUCK DID NOT SLOW DOWN. COMPLETE BRAKE FAILURE. I TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALERSHIP FOR DIAGNOSIS & REPAIR. THEY STILL HAVE IT & I'M IN A LOANER CAR. I ALSO NOW SEE THAT THERE ARE OTHER REPORTS OF THE SAME THING HAPPENING TO OTHER 2015/2016 FORD F150 TRUCKS. I WOULD THINK THIS TYPE OF A FAILURE WOULD BE DEEMED CATASTOPHIC, AS ONE COULD IMAGINE WHAT COULD HAPPEN WHEN DRIVING A VEHICLE AT ANY SPEED, AND NO WAY TO STOP IT.
DRIVER SIDE DOOR WON'T LATCH; USING REMOTE, DOOR WON'T UNLOCK. UNDER FREEZING CONDITIONS THE DRIVER SIDE DOOR WON'T LATCH UPON CLOSING AFTER SITTING FOR AN HOUR OR SO. AMOUNT OF FORCE USED TO CLOSE THE DOOR MAKES NO DIFFERENCE. USING THE REMOTE, THE DOOR WON'T UNLOCK. THE KNOB ON THE DOOR GOES UP ABOUT HALFWAY AND THEN IMMEDIATELY DROPS BACK DOWN. THE DOOR WILL UNLOCK WITH THE KEY, BUT YOU CAN FEEL THE STRESS AS THE LOCK MOVES. APPEARS TO BE WATER RELATED. ONCE THE INTERIOR WARMS UP ENOUGH (UPWARDS OF 20-30 MINUTES OF IDLING, DEPENDING ON OUTSIDE TEMPS), THEN THE DOOR WILL LATCH AND THE LOCK WILL ENGAGE/DISENGAGE. PASSENGER DOOR UNAFFECTED AT THIS TIME, BUT IS VERY RARELY USED, MAYBE 30 TIMES IN THE FIRST SEVEN MONTHS OF OWNERSHIP. WET ENVIRONMENT, 100+ INCHES OF RAIN PER YEAR. PROBLEM ONGOING.

BOUGHT A BRAND NEW, 2016 F150 LARIAT V8 4X4. AT CIRCA 2500 MILES THE VEHICLE STARTED TO MAKE AN UNUSUAL NOISE WHEN DRIVING AT 45 TO 60-MPH. TOOK THE VEHICLE FOR REPAIR TO THE DEALERSHIP. DEALERSHIP HEARD THE NOISE ALSO, BUT WERE NOT ABLE TO LOCATE/FIX IT. THEY ADVISED ME TO CONTINUE DRIVING THE CAR TO SEE IF THE NOISE INCREASED. AT CIRCA 3750 MILES, I TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALERSHIP FOR A SECOND TIME SINCE THE NOISE WAS STILL PRESENT AND EVIDENT. THE DEALERSHIP HAS KEPT THE CAR FOR 10 DAYS, AND ALTHOUGH THE NOISE STILL CAN BE HEARD, THEY DEALERSHIP IS INFORMING ME THAT THEY ARE NOT ABLE TO LOCATE AND FIX THE NOISE. THEY HAVE INSTRUCTED ME TO PICK UP THE VEHICLE ALTHOUGH THEY DO NOT KNOW WHAT IS WRONG WITH IT. I AM WORRIED TO PICK UP A CAR THAT HAS NOT BEEN FIXED, THAT HAS A NOISE THAT WAS NOT PRESENT WHEN NEW, AND THAT IS HAPPENING WHEN DRIVING AT HIGH SPEEDS. THE DEALERSHIP/ FORD MUST ASSUME OWNERSHIP OF THE VEHICLE SINCE THEY CAN'T FIX IT, AND CAN'T ADVISE CUSTOMERS TO KEEP DRIVING THE VEHICLE "SINCE WE CAN'T FIND WERE THE NOISE IS COMING FROM, THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH IT". *TR
