ENGINE FIRE.(OHIO TRAFFIC REPORT).
FRONT AXLE CRACKED IN HALF AT THE SPRING BRACKET.
CLUTCH MASTER CYLINDER FAILED RESULTING IN A COLLISION.
WAS GOING ABOUT 45MPH WHEN VEHICLE STARTED BOUNCING. STOPPED, CHECKED TIRES FOR FLAT; NO PROBLEM. NOTICED SMOKE ON THE RIGHT FRONT. PULLED VEHICLE OVER & CHECKED BRAKE CALIPERS. HAD TO RELEASE BRAKE PRESSURE TO GET VEHICLE HOME. NEEDS TO REPLACE BRAKE CALIPERS. *AK
DRIVER'S SIDE SEATBACK HAS BROKEN TO THE RECLINING POSITION. CONSUMER HAS CONTACTED THE DEALER, DEALER REFUSES TO REPLACE THE SEAT. PLEASE PROVIDE ANY FURTHER DETAILS. *AK
THE SLAVE PISTON HOUSING FAILED, IT CRACKED AND STARTED TO LEAK.
MY TRUCK HAD A REBUILT TRANSMISSION IN JUNE OF 1997 ONLY ONE YEAR AFTER I PURCHASE IT. SMALL PROBLEMS STILL OCCURRED HERE AND THERE, BUT IN JUNE OF 1999 MY TRANSMISSION BEGAN TO ACT UP AGAIN NOT SHIIFTING RIGHT, WHEN I BROUGHT IT TO A FORD DEALER FOR REPAIR I DROVE IT IN, WHEN THEY WERE DONE WITH THE TRUCK I HAD TO HAVE IT TOWED OUT OF THERE AND THEY STILL CHARGED ME 700 DOLLARS, I BROUGHT IT TO THE MAN WHO DID THE REBUILT ONE AND HE GOT IT RUNNING SAID IT WAS FIXED SO I PAID ANOTHER 640 DOLLARS THEN DROVE DOWN THE STREET AND IT STILL WAS NOT REPAIRED, IT WAS EXACTLY LIKE IT WAS WHEN I BROUGHT IT TO THE FORD DEALERSHIP. I HAVE SPENT 3400 DOLLARS ON REPAIRS FOR THE TRANSMISSION AND IT STILL DOES NOT WORK, WHAT RIGHTS DO I HAVE. I KNOW I OWN A LEMON. *AK
CONTROL ARM BOLTS STRIPPED OUT, CAUSING LOSS OF CONTROL.
STEERING WHEEL MISALIGNED.
THE TWO FRONT BRAKE ROTORS WERE SEVERELY CRACKED.
WHEN VEHICLE WAS PARKED IN DRIVEWAY WITH IGNITION OFF IT CAUGHT ON FIRE IN THE STEERING COLUMN. MULTI-FUNCTION SWITCH MELTED. VEHICLE HAS NOT BEEN TAKEN TO DEALERSHIP. *AK
BRAKES,ROTORS: ROTORS ON BOTH SIDES OF VEHICLE CRACKED WHICH CREATED A VIBRATION WHEN APPLIED THE BRAKES. AFTER 48,000 MILES EXPECTED PADS TO WEAR BUT THE CRACKED ROTORS HELPED IN THE WEAR OF THE PADS. *AK
WINDSHIELD WIPERS DO NOT FUNCTION CORRECTLY ON THE DELAY SPEEDS. THE SWITCH ON THE TURN SIGNAL LEVER WILL NOT MAKE CONTACT ON THE DELEAY SPEEDS. *AK
VEHICLE WAS SHIFTED INTO 4- WHEEL DRIVE; HUB DID NOT ENGAGE. VEHICLE STILL IN 2-WHEEL DRIVE. FRONT AXLE DID NOT LOCK. IF TRUCK IS ROCKED BACK & FORTH, CANNOT TELL IF IN 4-WHEEL DRIVE OR STILL IN 2-WHEEL DRIVE/MIGHT ENGAGE OR MIGHT NOT ENGAGE. TOOK TO DEALER & MECHANIC REPLACED HUB, BUT DID NOT CHECK VEHICLE BEFORE DOING SO. *AK
ELECTRICAL SHORT, THE WIRING HARNESS CONNECTING THE HEAD LIGHTS OVERHEATED, CAUSING A DASH FIRE. *AK HEADLIGHT SWITCH FAILURE RESPONSIBLE FOR HARNESS CATCHING ON FIRE.*JB
ABS: WHEN APPLYING BRAKES DURING PANIC STOPS, REAREND SWINGS AROUND ABOUT 90 DEGREES, VEHICLE GOES INTO SIDEWAY, SLIDES DOWN ROAD, SPEED 25 TO 30 MPH, HAPPENS ON WET SURFACE, NO ACCIDENTS.*AK
SWING ARM FELL OFF, CAUSING LOSS OF CONTROL.
FRONT END SUSPENSION, WHEN DRIVING VEHICLE MAKES A LOUD NOISE COMING FROM FRNT END ON UNDER PAVEMENT. *AK
FUEL PUMP FAILURE, CAUSING VEHICLE TO STALL. *SD
I OWNED A 1994 FORD F-250 4X4 AND FROM DAY ONE THE BRAKING SYSTEM HAD A PROBLEM. WHEN THE ANTI-LOCK BRAKING SYSTEM WOULD ACTIVATE INSTEAD OF WORKING THE WAY IT WAS SUPPOSE TO THE BRAKE PETAL WOULD JUST BOTTOM OUT AND THAT WOULD RESULT IN FAILURE TO STOP THE TRUCK. THE RESULT OF WHICH CAUSED MORE THAN A FEW CRASHES WITH THE TRUCK. MY EMPLOYER'S BROTHER WAS A MECHANIC FOR A FORD DEALERSHIP AND TOLD ME THAT FORD HAD SENT OUT A SERVICE BULLETIN FOR THE ANTI LOCK COMPUTER ON MANY DIFFERENT VEHICLE'S OF THAT MODEL YEAR SAYING THAT IF A VEHICLE CAME IN FOR ROUTINE SERVICE TO CHECK THE NUMBER OF THE COMPUTER AND IF IT WAS ANY DIFFERENT THAN ONE CERTAIN NUMBER. TO REPLACE IT WITH OUT THE OWNER KNOWING IT WAS REPLACED. SEEING AS I DO ALL THE WORK ON MY VEHICLE'S MYSELF MY TRUCK NEVER SAW ANY DEALER FOR REPAIRS AS MY 5/60 WARRANTY DID NOT LAST ME MORE THAN 2.5 YEARS. AND THE TRUCK RAN FINE DURING THOSE 2.5 YEARS EXCEPT FOR THE BRAKING SYSTEM. IS THERE ANY WAY FOR YOU PEOPLE TO CHECK INTO THIS NOTICE TO SEE IF IT IS TRUE? THE RESULT OF THESE CRASHES WITH THE BRAKING SYSTEM HAS CAUSED MY INSURANCE RATES TO RISE TO A RIDICULOUS FIGURE. I KNOW IT COULD BE SAID IT IS JUST THE WAY I DRIVE. HOWEVER I HAVE DRIVING MANY A COMPANY VEHICLE IN MY MANY YEARS IN THE CONSTRUCTION TRADE. FROM PICKUPS TO DUMP TRUCKS TOWING BULLDOZERS AND NEVER HAD ANY ACCIDENTS WITH A COMPANY TRUCK. *TR
THE ABS SYSTEM CAUSES THE BRAKES TO RESPOND SLOWER WHEN THE PEDAL IS PRESSED. PLEASE DESCRIBE. *AK
THE 8 BOLTS THAT HOLD THE SUSPENSION TO THE FRAME CAME OFF, CAUSING ERRATIC AND LOSS OF STEERING. PLEASE DESCRIBE. *AK
WHILE DRIVING WENT TO APPLY BRAKES AND THE BRAKES DID NOT RESPOND AND THE BRAKE LINES BROKE. PLEASE DESCRIBE. *AK

TRANSMISSION BELT LEAKED FLUID IN THE ENGINE RESULTING IN A ENGINE COMPARMENT FIRE PE94-089. *AK
OWNER STATES THAT WHILE BACKING INTO REVERSE THE FRONT WHEELS TURNED IN, RESULTING IN POSSIBLE SAFETY HAZARD. *AK
FRONT END VIBRATES DUE TO BROKEN COMPONENTS.
FRONT AXLE MOUNTING BOLTS LOOSEN, CAUSING PROBLEMS WITH STABILITY/HANDLING. (FOURTH VEHICLE ON 501504, 601386, 601387, 601389, 601390) *DSH
HIGH BEAM LIGHTS WENT OUT, CAUSING POOR VISIBILITY. *SD
INVOLVED IN RECALL NO. 94V018000 TOOK TO THREE DEALERS TO GET IT REPAIRED, BUT MADE NO REPAIRS, ONE DEALER FALSELY CLAIMED THAT HE REPAIRED THE RECALL. *AK

AFTER LONG TRIP, BRAKES WOULD BURN, SMOKE AND SMELL, AND FRONT END WOULD SHAKE BADLY WHEN BRAKES WERE APPLIED.
MASTER CYLINDER HOUSING CRACKED TWICE.
CONSTANT ABS BRAKE PROBLEMS. THEY LOCK UP. PLEASE EXPLAIN. TT

DURING VEHICLE OPERATION THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS WILL INTERMITTENTLY WORK. THEY SHUT OFF WHEN THE TURN SIGNAL IS USED OR WHEN MAKING A TURN. *AK

SERPENTINE BELT BROKE AT 14,000 MILES, DESTROYING OIL NBOOLER LINES THAT PASS BELOW THE ENGINE. *AK
POWER DOOR LOCKS SHORT OUT.
INTERMITTENTLY, AT ANY SPEED WHEN HITTING A BUMP, THE TRUCK SHIMMIES. THE CONDITION IS WORSE WHEN NOT PULLING A LOAD. THE DEALER IS AWARE OF THE PROBLEM. A SHOCK ABSORBER KIT WAS PUT ON THE STEERING LINKAGE WHICH HELPED SOMEWHAT TO RELIEVE THE PROBLEM. NO WORN OR DAMAGED PARTS, FRONT END ALIGNED, TIRES CHECKED. *AK
FRONT SUSPENSION TIE RODS FAILED. *SD
FRONT BRAKE LOCK UP AND PULL TO THE SIDE THAT LOCKUP, ABS BRAKE SYSTEM, REPLACE PADS/ROTOR. TT
FRAME BENT CAUSING NOISY SUSPENSION/MISALIGNMENT/BRAKE FAILURE/UNEVEN WEAR OF TIRES. *SD
CONSUMER CONCERNED ABOUT F250 CATCHING ON FIRE WHILE PARKED IN GARAGE. *TS ***NO ANSWER REQUIRED*** UPDATED 11/7/2005 - THE CONSUMER INDICATED THAT HIS VEHICLE HAS THE SAME TYPE OF SWITCH IN HIS FORD F250 THAT IS BEING RECALLED ON THE FORD F150. THE CONSUMER WOULD LIKE A WIRING DIAGRAM TO DETERMINE WHETHER OR NOT HIS VEHICLE IS SAFE. *NM UPDATED 01/23/06. *JB
CONSUMER COMPLAINT CONCERNING THE 1995 F250 UNDER HOOD FIRE DEFECT. *TS THE CONSUMER STATED SHE HAS 2 OTHER FORD VEHICLES A 1994 FORD F250 AND 1994 FORD F350 THAT DID HAVE UNDER HOOD FIRES, BUT NOT THE 1995 F250 WHICH A RECALL LETTER WAS SENT. *JB
