THIS VEHICLE WAS TOWED INTO OUR SHOP BECAUSE IT WOULD NOT START. WE INSTALLED A NEW STARTER AND LEFT IT OVER NIGHT IN THE STALL WHEN WE CAME BACK IN THE MORNING IT HAD ATTEMPTED TO START ITS SELF AND HAD DRIVEN THROUGH THE DOOR AND OUT ON TO THE LOT WEDGEING ITSELF IN THE NEW CARS. THIS TRUCK IS A STANDARD TRANSMISSION AND WAS LEFT IN GEAR WITH THE KEYS OUT OF THE IGNITION. IF YOU SET THIS TRUCK AND LEAVE IT IT WILL TRAY TO START IT'S SELF. SOME TIMES IT WILL TAKE A DAY OR AS LITTLE AS 10 MINUTES.
I'M JUST A LITTLE UPSET THAT FORD WILL NOT STAND BEHIND THIS ISSUE WITH THE 06 AND 07 F250 FUELING ISSUE, I WENT TO ARVIN,CA AT LUNCH TODAY TO PUT GAS IN BECAUSE I TRY TO MAKE SURE WHEN IT GETS TO A HALF OF A TANK I FILL IT UP, IT TOOK ME 17 MINUTES TO PUT IN 13 GALLONS OF GAS, THAT IS SAD AND I HAVE TO PUT IT IN SO SLOW BECAUSE IT WILL NOT LET ME GO ANY FASTER THAT TO ALWAYS OVER FILLS AND GAS COME OUT AROUND THE FUEL NOZZLE, I REALLY CONSIDER THIS A SAFETY ISSUE. ALL I WOULD LIKE IS THEM TO MEET ME HALF WAY I CAN NOT AFFORD TO SPEND OVER A THOUSAND DOLLARS TO FIX THIS ISSUE AND WHEN YOU DO A SEARCH ON THE ISSUE THERE ARE A LOT OF PEOPLE HAVING THE SAME ISSUE AND THEY WILL NOT DO ANYTHING TO HELP UNLESS YOU SAY SOMETHING ABOUT IT. YES CLARIFICATION ON HOW YOU WANT FORD MOTOR COMPANY TO ASSIST YOU I WOULD LIKE FORD TO STAND BEHIND THERE PRODUCT, LIKE I SAID I REALLY LIKE THE TRUCK AND I DON'T HAVE THE MONEY TO CHANGE THE CHARCOAL CANISTER AND THE OTHER PARTS AND TO MOVE IT FROM ABOVE THE SPARE TIRE TO SOME WHERE ELSE IF YOU DO A SEARCH ABOUT THE SLOW FILLING OF THE 07 F250 THERE ARE A LOT OF PEOPLE OUT THERE WITH THE SAME ISSUE EVEN THE 06 F250 AND FORD THERE IS A TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN FROM FORD, TSB # 07-15-4 THAT RELATES TO A SLOW FUEL FILL PROBLEM AS YOU CAN SEE BY THIS SEARCH THERE ARE A LOT OF PEOPLE HAVING THE SAME ISSUE, ALL I WANT IS TO BE ABLE TO GO TO THE GAS STATION AND FILL MY TRUCK AND NOT TAKE MY LUNCH BREAK TO DO IT IN, I REALLY JUST WANT FORD TO HELP ME FIX THESE ISSUE. I HAVE A 2007 FORD F-250SD 4X4 WITH A 6.0L DIESEL ENGINE. ON MAY 29, 2012 MY VEHICLE EXPERIENCED A NO START CONDITION AND HAD TO BE TOWED TO THE DEALER. UPON ARRIVAL I WAS ADVISED THAT I NEEDED A NEW STARTER AND POSSIBLY MORE BUT IT COULD NOT BE DETERMINED UNTIL THE VEHICLE WAS RUNNING AGAIN. STARTER WAS REPLACED AND I WAS ADVISED THAT THE VEHICLE NEEDED A FUEL INJECTION CONTROL MODULE (FICM). MY VEHICLE IS 6 MONTHS OUT OF WARRANTY BUT 50000 MILES BELOW WHAT WOULD BE ACCEPTABLE IN THE WARRANTY PERIOD. FORD HAS ISSUED 3 TO 4 TSB'S REGARDING THE PROBLEMS WITH THE FICM IT IS ONE OF THE MOST COMMON PROBLEM'S WITH THE FORD 6.0L DIESEL ENGINE. I CONTACTED FORD AND REQUESTED SOME ASSISTANCE SINCE THE VEHICLE WAS ONLY 6 MONTHS OUT OF WARRANTY AND THE MILEAGE. FORD DENIED THAT ANY ISSUE EXISTS WITH THE FICM IN THE 6.0L ENGINE. FORD ADVISED ME THAT IF I WAS NOT HAPPY WITH THEIR ANSWER I SHOULD CONTACT YOUR ORGANIZATION. *TR
LIKE MANY OWNERS OF A FORD DIESEL TRUCK THE FUEL TANK IS RUSTING. I HAVE CARED FOR MY TRUCK AS RECOMMENDED BY FORD MOTOR COMPANY. NOW MY TRUCK IS NO LONGER UNDER WARRANTY IT IS OVER 3 YEARS OLD AND IS AT 47000 MILES. THIS HAS BEEN A REPEATED PROBLEM AMONG FORD OWNERS AND IT SEEMS AS THE FORD MOTOR COMPANY IS GETTING AWAY WITH RIPPING OFF CONSUMERS. $600.00+ TO REPAIR BUT ALL THEY WILL DO IS CLEAN OUT THE TANK. THIS IS A DEFECT IN THESE TRUCKS. THIS PROBLEM HAS EXISTED FOR YEARS YET FORD IS NOT REQUIRED TO PLACE THE PROPER TYPE OF TANK IN THESE VEHICLES. LET ME REPEAT... THIS IS A KNOWN PROBLEM! FROM WHAT I UNDERSTAND MANY OTHER OWNERS HAVE SENT COMPLAINTS HERE. I REALLY HOPE FORD IS HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS ISSUE. PEOPLE ARE SPENDING THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS HAVING TO TAKE CARE OF THIS SAME PROBLEM AND FORD JUST REPLACES THE TANK FOR THE ISSUE TO ARISE AGAIN DOWN THE ROAD. IT CAUSES VEHICLES TO STALL AND SLOW DOWN UNTIL THE VEHICLE IS RESTARTED. THIS IS NOT SAFE! *TR
