The contact owns a 2022 Ford F-250 SD. The contact stated that while driving approximately 60 MPH in the center lane of a busy highway, the transmission suddenly malfunctioned and the vehicle abruptly decelerated. The contact was able to maneuver the vehicle to the shoulder. The contact stated that after turning off and restarting the vehicle, the vehicle operated as needed. The contact indicated that the vehicle had experienced the failure on five separate occasions. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer who diagnosed that the transmission coolant pump was faulty and that the transmission needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not yet repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 46,000.
This vehicle was delivered in July 2022. Shortly after receiving it the steering controls and horn were not always working. I then noticed a clicking sound in the steering wheel. In Sept 2022 My local Ford dealer said they replaced the clock spring, but two days to a week after the replacement, the same issue started again. A Ford technician is going to look at this again on Friday 2/3/23.
The contact owns a 2022 Ford F-250SD. The contact stated while driving 15 MPH and depressing the brake pedal, the trailer brakes failed to operate as designed in stopping the vehicle. The contact stated that a wiring harness fault message was displayed. The contact was able to use the stop the vehicle and trailer with the conventional brakes. The vehicle was taken to the dealer and the brake control was replaced but the failure reoccurred. The vehicle was taken to the dealer a second time, but the contact was unsure what was replaced; however, the failure reoccurred. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was contacted, and the manufacturer stated that the vehicle was not included in NHTSA Campaign Number: 22V193000 (Electrical System). The failure mileage was 10,715.
