As I was driving on the highway, my car lost power as if it wasn't in gear anymore. Fortunately, I was in a side lane and was able to coast to the side of the road safely; I doubt I would be as lucky if I was in a middle lane. That being said, the side of the road is still dangerous. Shifting the gear selector did nothing to give me power. I put the vehicle in park and turned it off. I waited a few seconds and tried to turn it back on. It wouldn't start. I tried several more times. I then waited a few minutes and tried to start it again, this time with the car starting. I was able to get to work and drive without any issues. After work, however, my car failed to start and had to be towed. There were zero warning lights or messages displayed during this event.

THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE TRANSMISSION NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE HAD BEEN REPAIRED TWICE HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER HAD BEEN INFORMED OF THE FAILURE AND REFERRED THE CONTACT TO NHTSA TO FILE A COMPLAINT. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 105,000.
VEHICLE RANDOMLY STALLS IN TRAFFIC WHILE ACCELERATING ON THE INTERSTATE. TURNING OFF VEHICLE FOR A FEW MINUTES AND TURNING IT BACK ON USUALLY TEMPORARILY FIXES THE ISSUE. THIS HAS NEARLY CAUSED AN ACCIDENT WITH AN EIGHTEEN WHEELER.

THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT INFORMED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 150,000.
PURCHASED USED ON MARCH 2021 DEALERSHIP SOMEHOW MADE IT DRIVE PERFECT UNTIL I DROVE IT FOR 2 DAYS. THEN NOTICED ENGINE SHIFTING ISSUES, LOSS OF TRANSMISSION ENGAGEMENT WHILE DRIVING, NO-START, OR A LACK OF POWER. IDLES VERY ROUGH IN PARKED POSITION- SPITTING AND SPUTTERING. VEHICLE STALLING, LOSING POWER WHILE DRIVING, RPMS AT 4 WHILE ON HIGHWAY @ 65-70 MPH AS IF IT NEVER CHANGED OUT OF 2ND OR 3RD GEAR. CALLED FORD AND HAD THE TCM UPDATED APRIL 2021 AT GABRIEL FORD DEALERSHIP,LIVINGSTON TEXAS.THE UPDATE DID NOT HELP AND I WAS TOLD THAT I NEEDED TO DRIVE IT LIKE I STOLE IT BUT THAT MAKES THE POWER-TRAIN ISSUES WORSE. FORD DEALERSHIP POINTED ME TO NHTSA TO WRITE A COMPLAINT. AS OF MAY 15, 2021 IT DOESN'T MATTER IF ITS ON HIGHWAY, LOCAL IN TOWN, LOW MPH OR 65 MPH THE TRANSMISSION CONTINUES TO JERK, LOSE POWER, SPUTTER, AFTER UPDATING THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING LIGHT NEVER CAME ON WHEN TRANSMISSION ISSUES HAPPENED. VEHICLE JERKING. AFTER DRIVING ABOUT 20 MILES WITH RPMS AT 4 STOPPING AT A LIGHT THEN TRYING TO ACCELERATE THE VEHICLE SPUTTERED AND WOULD NOT GAIN ACCELERATION, VERY SLOW TO GAIN ACCELERATION. LOSS OF ACCELERATION POWER WILL CUT OUT & CAR WILL BUCK & SPUTTER, ALSO MAKES A GRINDING OR NOISE THEN STOPPED. IT'S ALMOST CAUSED ACCIDENTS WITH MY CHILDREN IN THE CAR!. RPM REVS UP REALLY HIGH BUT THE SPEED DOESNT CHANGE. AT A RED LIGHT MY CAR BEGAN ACTING FUNNY WHEN THE LIGHT TURNED GREEN THE CAR WAS HESITANT TO GO IT WAS HAVING TROUBLE SHIFTING AND ACCELERATING THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT NEVER CAME ON. The contact owns a 2013 Ford Fiesta. The contact stated while driving at night the low-beam headlights would turn off and on and eventually remained permanently inoperable. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer who diagnosed that the headlight relay was faulty due to excessive corrosion. The relay was replaced, and the failure was remedied. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 66,000.
BOUGHT THIS CAR USED 2013 ON 12-01-2020 HAD LESS THAN 2 WEEKS AND IT COMPLETELY SHUT DOWN ON MY DAUGHTER DRIVING TO WORK, TOOK TO LOCAL DEALER THEY SAID NOTHING THEY COULD FIND, BUT THIS IS A VERY DANGEROUS THING TO HAPPEN FOR NO REASON THE CAR JUST DOWN THANK GOODNESS SHE WAS NOT ON THE HIGHWAY! AGAIN, THE DEALER THAT SOLD US THE CAR DEFENDS THAT THEY HAVE CHECKED IT OUT BUT WE ARE AFRAID GOING FORWARD THE NEXT TIME SHE WONT BE SO LUCKY WE HAVE NO WARRANTY AND THE DEALER WHO SOLD US THE CAR KEPT INSISTING WE PAY AN EXTRA 2000 FOR A WARRANTY I FEEL MAYBE THEY KNOW SOMETHING IS WRONG OR ABOUT TO BE FOR THEM TO BE SO PUSHY AGAIN, SHE WAS DRIVING TO WORK AND IT JUST SHUT DOWN LIGHTS STARTED TO FLASH AND THEN A NOISE WAS MADE, THE BRAKES WORKED STILL AND THE STEERING WHEEL WORKED BUT NOTHING ELSE

The manufacturer was contacted, and the manufacturer stated that there was no recall for the failure and referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline to file a complaint. All 4 door airbags spontaneously deployed while driving. The air bag deployment knocked me unconscious and I woke up on the shoulder of the road. The vehicle dialed 911 after the incident occurred.
WHILE DRIVING THE VEHICLE ALL POWER WAS LOST AND THE CAR WAS NOT CONTROLABLE. THE ENGINE MALFUNCTION LILGHT DID COME ON. I DID HAVE THE CAR TOWED AND IS APPARENTLY A KNOW WIRING ISSUE RELATED TO SERVICE BULLETIN TSB-131115.
LOSS OF ACCELERATION POWER WILL CUT OUT & CAR WILL BUCK & SPUTTER. IT'S ALMOST CAUSED ACCIDENTS. FAULTY TRANSMISSIONS
THE CAR HAS AN ISSUE WITH THE PCM. IT HAS A RECALL THAT WAS NEVER FIXED, BUT A CODE POPS UP REGARDING THAT ISSUE WHEN I SELF DIAGNOSE THE CAR. ALSO, MY TRANSMISSION IS ACTING UP AND A WRENCH LIGHT POPS UP SAYING "ENGINE MALFUNCTION. SERVICE NOW." THE TRANSMISSION SHUDDERS TOO WHEN ACCELERATING AND NOW THE CAR DRIVES SLOW CONSTANTLY.

6/18/20 CAR SEIZED UP AS IF HAND BRAKE WERE ON. LOUD GRINDING, SHAKING, BARELY MOVE ON ACCELERATION. FORD DEALER SAID NOTHING WRONG. 6/20/20. RETURNED TO FORD WITH SAME COMPLAINT BUT WORSE. REPAIRED TRANSMISSION LEAK. 8/11/20 TOWED TO AAA RECOMMENDED MECHANIC. SAID PROBLEM WAS BRAKES. MADE REPAIR. 8/31/20 SAME SYMPTOMS BUT MUCH WORSE. TOWED TO SAME MECHANIC. DO NOT HAVE RESPONSE YET. RESEARCHED SYMPTOMS ON MOTORBISQUIT, CARCOMPLAINTS, FORD CORPORATE WEBSITE. ALL SAY 2013 FIESTA TRANSMISSION IS A LEMON. MY CAR IS DANGEROUS TO DRIVE.

CARS SHUDDERS FALLS OUT OF GEAR WITH LOST OF POWER. WAS REPAIRED IN AUGUST 2018 AND AGAIN IN NOVEMBER 2019 AND IT STILL DOING THE SAME THING. LAST VISIT TO DEALER THEY SAID IT WAS NOT BAD ENOUGH FOR ANOTHER REPAIR.

THE DOOR ON MY 2013 FORD FIESTA OPEN!! MY DAUGHTER WAS MAKING A LEFT TURN TO MERGE ON TO THE INTERSTATE WHEN THE REAR PASSENGER DOOR FLEW OPEN AND ALL THE THINGS SHE HAD FELL OUT! SUPPOSE MY LITTLE NIECES WERE IN THERE OR THE DOOR FLIES OPEN AND A CAR HITS IT! I LOOKED UP HOW TO FIX WHEN I CAME ACROSS A RECALL STATING THE DOORS UNLATCH!! RECALL: 20S30 IS THE RECALL; I WENT TO THE DEALERSHIP. THE SERVICE ADVISOR STATED THEY DON?T HAVE THE ?KITS? TO FIX ALL 4 DOORS RIGHT NOW AND THEY WON?T HAVE THEM UNTIL SEPTEMBER !! IN THE MEANTIME I COULD HAVE ONE DOOR FIXED FOR ABOUT $500! I COULD SAVE MY INVOICE AND ASK FOR REIMBURSEMENT AFTER ALL DOORS HAVE BEEN FIXED; AFTER RECALL IS PERFORMED. THIS IS A HUGE SAFETY ISSUE BECAUSE IF I FIX ONE DOOR WHAT?S TO SEE ANOTHER DOOR JUST OPEN AND SOMETHING TRAGIC OCCURS! I NEED TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE; WE DON'T HAVE ANY OTHER MEANS OF TRANSPORTATION. THE VEHICLE DOESN'T EVEN HAVE 74K ON IT AND THE TRANSMISSION IS SLIPPING. YOU ACCELERATE AND IT LIKE THE WHOLE CAR SHIMMIES AND IT JUST DOESN'T WANT TO GO. THEN WHEN UR DRIVING IT WHEN SWITCHING FROM 1ST GEAR TO 2AND YOU HAVE TO WATCH IT BECAUSE IT ACTS LIKE IT DOESN'T WANT TO KICK OVER. SOMETIMES IT REACHES A LITTLE OVER 4K IF YOU HAVE TO SLOW A BIT SO IT WILL KICK TO 2ND. ALSO WHEN YOU ACCELERATE AND GO INTO A TURN, IT FEELS LIKE THE WHEELS ARE TRYING TO GO BUT THE WHOLE CAR SHIMMIES AND NOW A METALLIC CLANGING FROM TIME TO TIME. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING ABOUT 45 MPH, THE SECOND VEHICLE IN FRONT SLAMMED ON THEIR BRAKES CAUSING THE VEHICLE IN FRONT TO ABRUPTLY STOP AS A RESULT THE CONTACT REAR END THE VEHICLE IN FRONT. THE BRAKE WAS STIFF AND WAS UNABLE TO BRAKE. THERE WERE NO WARNING LIGHTS. THE HOOD, HEADLIGHT, RADIATOR, AND FRONT BUMPER WERE DESTROYED BUT THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED MUSCLE ACHES AND PAINS AND WAS TAKEN TO THE EMERGENCY CENTER. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT THERE WAS NO BROKEN BONES BUT SUFFERS FROM PANIC ATTACKS. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOTALED AND WAS TOWED TO A TOW YARD. THE DEALER WAS NOT CALLED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND DID NOT OFFER ANY HELP. THE CONTACT ALSO MENTIONED THAT IN FEBRUARY OF 2020 A DEER JUMPED IN FRONT OF THE VEHICLE CAUSING THE CONTACT TO HIT THE DEER. THE AIR BAGS ALSO FAILED TO DEPLOY ON THAT OCCASION. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 175,000.

THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE SHIFTER, INPUT SEAL, AND CLUTCH WHERE DEFECTIVE AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE WARRANTY WAS EXPIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 74,300.
WHILE DRIVING AT NIGHT, THE LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS STOPPED WORKING. IT APPEARS TO BE CORROSION AT THE RELAY. THE HIGH BEAMS STILL FUNCTION. THERE IS A RECALL IN CANADA FOR THIS PROBLEM.
THERE IS AN ISSUE WITH THE BATTERY LIGHT RANDOMLY COMING ON WHEN THE VEHICLE IS STARTED, MAKING ONE BELIEVE THE VEHICLE'S CHARGING SYSTEM IS IN NEED OF REPAIR. WHEN THIS FIRST OCCURRED IT WAS RECOMMENDED SINCE I WAS TRAVELING CLOSE TO 200 MILES EVERYDAY, THAT I HAVE THE ALTERNATOR REPLACED AS IT WAS THOUGHT A DIODE WAS GOING OUT. THE ALTERNATOR WAS REPLACED, AND THE VEHICLE STILL HAS THIS LIGHT COME ON AND ILLUMINATE, MAKING YOU THINK THERE IS A PROBLEM. EVEN WHEN LIGHT IS ON THE CHARGING SYSTEM IS OPERATING AS IT SHOULD. ALL COMPONENTS ARE GOOD. IT RANDOMLY COMES ON AND STAYS ON, UNTIL THE CAR IS TURNED OFF AND RESTARTED, SOMETIMES A COUPLE CYCLES OF THE KEY IS NEEDED. I HAVE SEEN ON FORUMS WHERE OWNERS HAVE PAID SOME MAJOR DOLLARS TRACKING THIS ISSUE. PROBLEM IS SINCE IT IS RANDOM, THE CAR'S DRIVER DOESN'T KNOW WHETHER THERE IS AN ISSUE OR NOT. THE ALTERNATOR ITSELF WITHOUT LABOR WAS AROUND $300 (ESTIMATED). ISSUE USUALLY OCCURS AT STARTUP AND REMAINS UNTIL VEHICLE IS TURNED OFF AND RESTARTED. The contact owns a 2013 Ford Fiesta. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the transmission unintendedly shifted into neutral(N). Additionally, the contact stated that the transmission failed to shift into reverse(R) as needed. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who performed a relearn, a visual inspection, and an adaptation test. No failure was found; however, the contact stated that the failure recurred. Additionally, the check engine warning light was illuminated. CAR REMAINS STUTTERING IDILING HIGH THEN LOW ATEMPS TO SHUT OFF FROM TIME TO TIME, I HAVE TAKING VEHICLE TO GET CHECKED AT LOCAL FORD DEALER ONLY WHEN CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON AND SAYS TCM FAILURE OR MAL FUNCTION, THEY REPAIR THE PART IF IT'S AVAILABLE BUT NOW CAR STILL DOES THE SAME THING ONLY DIFFERENCE NO ONCHECK ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON NOW ALL REPAIR HAS TO COME OUT OF MY POCKET BECAUSE THEY SAY NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHT DISPLAYED SONRHWY HAVE TO GUESS WHATBITNIS. THIS IS A KNOWN PROBLEM FROM THIS MODEL VEHICLE EVEN HAD A CLASS ACTION LAWSUITS WHICH I DIDN'T PARTAKE IN AND FORD JUST WON'T RECALL THIS STUPID VEHICLE. I TRUSTED FORD AND FINANCED THIS CAR FOR WHAT IT EVENTUALLY WILL GET US HURT OR EVEN KILLED.
HEADLIGHTS ON 2013 FORD FIESTA BEGAN WORKING INTERMITTENTLY WHILE DRIVING AT NIGHT. UPON FURTHER INSPECTION, THE LOW BEAM LIGHT RELAY WAS SO BADLY CORRODED THAT IT HAD BROKEN OFF INSIDE THE FUSE BOX, MAKING THE RELAY IMPOSSIBLE TO REPLACE. THE CORROSION APPEARS TO BE A RESULT OF A DESIGN FLAW ALLOWING MOISTURE IN THE FUSE BOX. CANADA HAS A SIMILAR RECALL REFERENCE NUMBER 19S28 ASSOCIATED WITH THIS EXACT ISSUE.
THE VEHICLE IS STRAINING TO PICK BACK UP SPEED ONCE IT COMES TO A STOP OR SLOWS DOWN. THERE ALSO SEEMS TO BE A CLICKING SOUND COMING FROM THE TRANSMISSION ON THE DRIVER SIDE. IT SEEMS TO HAVE TROUBLE SWITCHING OVER THE YEARS BECAUSE IT'S A DUAL TRANSMISSION I'M SUSPECTING SOMETHING'S WRONG WITH THE CLUTCH THERE SEEMS TO BE A SHUTTER.
FORD FIESTAS HAVE RECEIVED NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS DUE TO THE POWERSHIFT TRANSMISSION FORD INSTALLED IN THE CARS. THIS CAUSES THE CAR TO HAVE MAJOR DELAYED ACCELERATION, SPORADIC JERKING WHILE DRIVING, SHUDDERING UPON ACCELERATION. I HAVE HAD TO DROVE OFF THE ROAD MULTIPLE TIMES, INCLUDING TONIGHT ON MY WAY HOME FROM WORK, TO AVOID BEING HIT WHILE MERGING ONTO HIGHWAYS OR ROADS DUE TO THIS DELAY IN ACCELERATION AND I KNOW IT'S ONLY A MATTER OF TIME BEFORE I'M IN AN ACCIDENT. FORD REFUSES TO DO ANYTHING OTHER THAN JUST REPLACING THE TRANSMISSION WITH ANOTHER ONE THAT DOES THE SAME THING IN LESS THAN A MONTH AFTER BEING INSTALLED. DON'T WAIT FOR PEOPLE TO GET HURT OR KILLED DUE TO FORD'S NEGLACANCGE IN THEIR TERRIBLE DESIGN OF THESE VEHICLES.
VEHICLE WAS PARKED WHILE WE ATE DINNER. WHEN WE STARTED IT, HEADLIGHTS WOULD NOT COME ON. DROVE HOME USING HIGH BEAMS. UPON INSPECTION DISCOVERED HEADLIGHT RELAY WAS CORRODED. RESEARCH YIELDED A RECALL IN ATLANTIC CANADA FOR THE SAME ISSUE (19S28) BUT FORD USA DOES NOT RECOGNIZE THE ISSUE. WHEN WE TOOK OUR VEHICLE TO THE DEALERSHIP, THE TECH SAID HE'D SEEN THE ISSUE BEFORE. RESOLVED BY REPLACING THE BATTERY JUNCTION BOX AT GREAT EXPENSE.
DOOR LOCK CAN BE A SAFETY ISSUE FOR MANY. ONLY 1 LOCK TO 4 DOORS THAT LOCK/UNLOCK BUTTON IS IN DASHBOARD JUST BEFORE THE RADIO. VEHICLE WAS PARKED. KEY WAS NOT ON IGNITION I GOT IN VEHICLE SHUT THE DOOR AND LOCKED IT. I MISPLACED MY KEYS INSIDE CAR I TRIED GETTING OUT BY PRESSING UNLOCK.WHILE THE IGNITION WAS OFF AND VEHICLE DID NOT UNLOCK NO SOUND NOTHIN. I PANICKED NONE OF THE DOOR WOULDN'T OPEN UNTIL I FOUND KEY AND TURNED IGNITION TO OPEN DOORS. SOMETIMES IT DOES OPEN BUT I CAN'T IMAGINE IF MY CHILD WOULD GET STUCK IN THE CAR FOR NOT HAVING DOOR LOCKS
IM NOT SURE IF I HAVE SELECTED CORRECT OPTIONS. BUT ALL I KNOW IS WHEN I SLOW MY CAR AND THEY TRY TO ACCELERATE THE CAR DOES NOT SPEED UP IMMEDIATELY IT TAKE FEW MINUTES. HENCE I HAVE TO ACCELERATE MORE TO MAKE THE CAR RUNNING. THIS HAS ALWAYS BEEN AN ISSUE. QUITE DIFFICULT WHILE SWITCHING LANES ON HIGHWAYS OR TAKING TURNS. SPECIALLY DRIVING IN WINTER IS SCARY. I FIND THE CAR VERY UNPREDICTABLE. I TOOK IT TO THE SERVICING CENTRE IN TORONTO CA AT DUFFERIN FOR THE RECALL THAT WAS ISSUED AND THE ISSUE IS STILL NOT RESOLVED. AFTER INFORMING THEM THEY JUST DISREGARDED SAYING THIS IS AN ISSUE WITH ALL FORD. THINKING IM A WOMEN AND DONT UNDERSTAND MUCH OF CARS I FORGOT ABOUT IT. EVEN WHEN IT RAINS WHILE APPLYING A BRAKE IT STARTLES AND DOESN'T STOP IMMEDIATELY. THIS ISSUE WAS ALSO DISCUSSED WITH THE FORD CENTRE AT DUFFERIN ST IN TORONTO. I SOMETIMES FEAR TO DRIVE MY CAR AS I HAVE MY CHILD AND PETS ALONG WITH ME. THIS IS ONGOING THING DAILY SO CANT SPECIFY WHICH DATE EXACTLY AS WHENEVER WE DRIVE WE HAVE THIS ISSUE.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO KUNES COUNTRY FORD STATELINE SUPERSTORE OF ANTIOCH (847-395-3900, LOCATED AT 104 ROUTE 173, ANTIOCH, IL 60002) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE DUAL CLUTCH ACCELERATOR NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS OUT OF WARRANTY. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 165,000.
THE TRANSMISSION IS VERY ROUGH WHEN SHIFTING, HESITATING, SKIPPING, DOES NOT SHIFT SMOOTHLY OR EASILY. I HAVE HAD THE VEHICLE SERVICED AND BEEN TOLD OTHER TRANSMISSIONS HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM. ON NOVEMBER 3 2019 THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT AND MAINTENANCE LIGHT CAME ON THE DASHBOARD. THE WARNING MESSAGE SAID TRANSMISSION NEEDS TO BE SERVICED.
MY CAR HAS HAD TRANSMISSION ISSUES SINCE I BOUGHT THE VEHICLE. I HAVE HAD IT SERVICED SEVERAL TIMES UNDER THE WARRANTY BUT AM STILL HAVING ISSUES, EVEN AFTER ALL THE SERVICES AND NOW I AM OUTSIDE OF THE EXTENDED WARRANTY & THEY WANT ME TO PAY FOR ALL REPAIRS DUE TO THE FAULTY TRANSMISSION IN THE FORD FIESTAS. I WAS FIRST TOLD IT WAS A LIFETIME WARRANTY BUT TURNS OUT THEY JUST EXTENDED IT TO 150,000 MILES, WHICH I WAS BARELY OVER. I EXPERIENCED LUNGING FORWARD, LOSS OF POWER AND WHAT SOUNDS LIKE METAL SCRAPING AGAINST METAL.

THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE TRANSMISSION NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT INFORMED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 143,000.
4/2019 FOUND OUT ABOUT DOOR RECALL. QUIRK FORD SAID THEY FIXED ALL 4 DOORS BEFORE I BOUGHT THE CAR IN 9/2016 HOWEVER 4/2019 MY BACK DRIVERS SIDE DOOR LATCH BROKE AND I COULD NOT LOCK THE DOOR. IT KEPT OPENING WHILE DRIVING. FIXED IT. 10/19 MY FRONT PASSENGER DOOR HAD THE SAME ISSUE AND THE CABLE IN THE DOOR BROKE AS WELL. KEPT OPENING WHEN DRIVING EVEN THOUGH I TIED IT WITH A CORD. NOTHING HAPPENED TO THE DOORS PRIOR TO THE LATCHES FAILING. GOT THIS FIXED I AM AFRAID THIS MAY HAPPEN WITH THE OTHER DOORS AND RESULT IN A SERIOUS ACCIDENT. I FEEL THEY ARE STILL USING DEFECTIVE LATCHES.
