NHTSA Owner Complaint Log
This page lists owner-reported complaints filed with NHTSA for the 2015 Ford Fiesta. Complaints are unverified consumer reports submitted to NHTSA and do not by themselves prove a defect or defect rate.
My car has been under recall now for the transmission or chip in the transmission. The car keeps jerking, stalls randomly and sometimes won't work. It's been confirmed by the Palatka FL Ford dealership. I originally took it to the Ford in Ocala FL, but they keep refusing to fix it. Now the Palatka one is saying they can't because they don't have a chip. They're refusing to buy it back or work with me on it. I am the original owner, bought it strait off the lot and it was made in 2015. It's only 8 years old, but I've stalled now multiple times on the highway, in traffic on the way to work, and at gas stations. I want this fixed ASAP, according to the laws they have to work with me on this. I just don't know how to get them to work with me.
This goes with Incident 11500972 2015 Ford Fiesta SE purchased 2.8.18 Crest Ford in Center Line, MI Right away, began having issues. Taken in to Dealership 9.18.18. In 2019, I contacted them 3-4 times, asking when I could bring in for Recall on ignition, which was Warranty. On 3.9.20, took to Costco, engine had no power, wouldn't go above certain speeds, felt like it would stall. Said needed new battery, which I purchased. Seemed OK when picked up, lights on dash off. Immediately came back on with same problems. Next day, on 3.10.20 again contacted the Dealership, my complaint via email: "Repair Services: Put in a new battery, immediately brought up submarine, wrench, Check Transmission now on screen. Was told it's under Recall or an Extended Powertrain warranty. Also has 2 other official recalls on it would like fixed while it's there." In addition, I told them it would not go above certain speeds, so shifting is broken, feels like it will stall out. Invoice from Crest Ford: "Customer states the wrench light is on, he feels like the vehicle will not shift past 3rd gear as well, a new battery was put in and after that the vehicle started to have more issues" and "Corrected by Tech: [XXX] Warranty Installed AE8Z 7Z369 F:MODULE - TRANSMISSION CONT Qty: 1 Warranty Installed WPR:WARRANTY PART RETURN Qty: 1 Warranty trans warning message on, wrench light on, ids ck found fault po606, replaced and reprogrammed tcm per 14m02, relearned adaptive memories 3 and road tested ok at this time" These are all items Ford Fiesta RECALL, replaced, repaired. NOW BROKEN AGAIN. They Installed AE8Z 7Z369 F: MODULE - TRANSMISSION CONT, Installed WPR: WARRANTY PART RETURN The issues are SAME as now: "trans warning message on, wrench light on" These issues were already repaired, and again, after a new battery was installed, needs expensive parts, dx, I don't have car to drive as it won't go above certain speed! Local Ford pretending/lying saying there's NO RECALL INFORMATION Redacted PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).
1 year ago I spent over $1,000 fixing everything on this car, no one offered any info. about Recalls. At 21,000-23,000 miles only. I noticed some odd shuddering at low speeds. Like shaking, but only going slower. Then it did other things, seemed like maybe it was when parking or backing up. Car would switch to Neutral. On its own. Another: the car kept STARTING. I have a Remote Starter, I removed RS, still doing it. I'll find car running by itself. WITH NO KEY IN THE IGNITION. I have 2 year old battery from Costco, under warranty. Last week, coming home, car LOST all power, nearby, able to glide into garage. Spent days checking, terminals, fuses, everything. Battery SHOULD be 12.5 amps, it was 3.5 amps. So could NOT be jump-started. Had towed to Costco, then Midas. $1,100 later got ride to pick up, start car, dashboard now has orange wrench, said: "Transmission Malfunction! Service Now!" Sunday, Midas closed, no choice but drive home, 10 miles. Dad drove me, stopped to eat, when came out after 2 hours, THE CAR WAS RUNNING! In the parking lot, ALL BY ITSELF! THE KEY WASN'T IN THE IGNITION! Key was in my purse way inside restaurant. It was SCARY. Then Shifting was messed up, on small hill, kick back, forth, not enough power. Don't drive stick shifts/manuals, but each gear was struggling. Also shaking, thought would stall. When home, car WOULDN'T TURN OFF! Removed key, CAR KEPT RUNNING - NO KEY! Online, see Recalls, transmission lawsuits, everything. Own TWO FORD FIESTA SE's, NEVER sent anything about. In press, Ford lies, say owners told. Called 5 local Ford dealerships, ALL playing game of "What recall?" "What transmission issues?" I have to pay $300+ have error codes run, IF recall, maybe they'll pay, "Probably Extended Warranty." What Extended Warranty? 2015 Ford Fiesta SE w/ 50,000 miles. I'll say this: I'm 100% DISABLE I use car for SSA Ticket to Work program, delivering Amazon. I'm losing $150 every day. I can't go to store, get my mail, dr. appts., I'm trapped.
Vehicle will not go in reverse and will not accelerate
The contact owns a 2015 Ford Fiesta. The contact state while driving 60 MPH, the rear passenger’s side door inadvertently unlatched. The contact stated that once he arrived home, he noticed the door was not latched correctly. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, and the contact was informed that the door latch would not be replaced. The contact was informed that the latch was already repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was 2,500.
Goes with Incidents: 11501018, 11501025, 11500972 & 11500985 I am 100% Disabled, but work occasionally via SSA Ticket to Work program, for Amazon, using Ford Fiesta to deliver packages. 9.11.22 at 4:30AM delivering package to [XXX], on North side of road. As I backed out of driveway, now facing East, and busy road, Hiller Rd. I had only just gotten in, NO seatbelt on backing up. Switched from Reverse to Drive, foot still on brake, car took off, as if I'd stomped on accelerator, but my foot was on brake still. Hitting brakes, I flew almost to Hiller Rd., brakes not working, car speeding, steering worked. Tried to slow down, was on South side of road, on people's lawns. Going so fast, I went into ditch, then came up out of ditch! Narrowly avoided mailboxes. Last house before Hiller Rd. on my right, tried to slow down in large lot next door, didn't work. They have huge boulders along edge of grass, I not only slammed into a boulder, but they had chopped down trees too, laid them down along edge of grass with boulders. Car went UP, against gravity, ONTO one of these trees, before hitting the boulder. If you can imagine, from hood to bumper, and further out each end, I was UP, on top of a tree, the bumpers dug into it, so the 4 tires were loose on each side, front hit boulder. Hadn't put on seatbelt yet, my head slammed into steering wheel, airbags didn't deploy again, $400 cell phone screen split, cracked. I hit my head so hard, it knocked me out, I'm not sure how long, seconds to minutes. Came to, was on tree, tried to somehow dig car out, with flashlight and crowbar. Ended up calling Amazon emergency, it was Sunday, too early, not there. Called Geico, then 3 other tow co.'s, after 2 hours Lakeside Towing came by, had to use winch and flatbed, had to chop up tree was on, pull back from boulder. Was stuck there for hours. Phone screen shattered, had to be replaced, pay $125 for a tow, hit head, bumpers, scratched, all b/c this Ford Fiesta. Door latching
The contact owns a 2015 Ford Fiesta. The contact stated while driving at various speeds, the transmission slipped from drive(D) to neutral(N) and the vehicle shuddered significantly. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact veered to the side of the road. The contact turned off and restarted the vehicle, and the vehicle responded as needed. The contact stated that the failure had been reoccurring while driving and would persist at times while turning off and restarting the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who informed the contact that the gear shifter failed, and the failure was related to an unknown Ford Campaign Number that had expired. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.
The contact owns a 2015 Ford Fiesta. The contact stated while driving 65 MPH, the check engine warning light illuminated as the vehicle hesitated upon depression of the accelerator pedal. The contact was able to coast the vehicle home and had her husband inspect the vehicle. Her husband discovered that a low engine compression and that the engine would need to be replaced. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed her that there were no recalls on the vehicle. The vehicle had yet to be repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 82,000
The contact's son owns a 2015 Ford Fiesta. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the vehicle would hesitate and jolt upon depression of the accelerator pedal with the check engine warning light illuminated. The contact attempted to reach two local dealers but was unable to speak to a representative. The manufacturer had yet to be notified of the failure. The vehicle had yet to be repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 90,000.
Car won't go in reverse.vehicle will only go 30 mph at times and cause safety issues
The contact owns a 2015 Ford Fiesta. The contact stated that the check engine warning light had illuminated on the instrument panel. The contact replaced the spark plugs; however, the check engine warning light remained illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where they replaced the vacuum pump and hoses. A few weeks later, the check engine warning light returned and the vehicle failed to start up after several attempts. The contact also noticed that coolant needed to be added more frequently to the reservoir. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer where it was discovered that coolant leaked into the cylinders resulting in engine failure. Upon investigation, the contact discovered NHTSA Campaign Number: 17V209000 (Engine and Engine Cooling) which she linked to the failure. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that her vehicle was not included in the recall; the contact was then referred to the NHTSA for assistance. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 99,000.
The contact owns a 2015 Ford Fiesta. The contact stated that while her son was driving at an undisclosed speed, the passenger's side front door inadvertently opened. The dealer was made aware of the failure; however, the vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and informed the contact to take the vehicle to the dealer for a diagnostic test. The contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 20V177000 (Latches/Locks/Linkages). The failure mileage was approximately 60,000.
The contact owns a 2015 Ford Fiesta. The contact stated that while idled, there was smoke observed coming from under the hood of the vehicle. The vehicle was turned off and liquid was noticed under the hood of the vehicle. The dealer was called and informed the contact that they would not be able to diagnose the vehicle. The failure occurred a second time and the contact called the dealer, however, they had not been able to bring the vehicle as of yet. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and confirmed the vehicle was not included in any recalls. The approximate failure mileage was 80,000.
When accelerating, there is a shuddering sensation as you can feel the clutches slipping. The shifting is also sluggish at times. When in "sport mode" an error state can occur where the transmission fails to shift gears altogether and a warning comes up on the dashboard to service the transmission immediately. While that error is up, the shuddering becomes much worse and the engine will try to lurch forward at random times when it chooses the wrong gear. This lurching will fight the brakes too, decreasing stopping distance if the driver isn't extra diligent. This error state is cleared by stopping and starting the car again. There are no other visible dashboard warnings associated with this issue in daily driving. I took it to a local service center to be diagnosed and they determined it was either a worn clutch or a faulty TCM in need of a replacement. I took it to the Ford dealership in the area, and they narrowed it down to the clutch and not the TCM. Ford issued an extended warranty for this issue on other 2015 Ford Fiestas, but mine fell just outside the required build date despite having identical symptoms as what the warranty was for on the other cars. The car is only 7 years old with 92k miles on it, so if it was part of the aforementioned extended warranty (7 years or 100k miles) it would qualify, but not for much longer. This seems to be a known issue that Ford never fixed despite the car being outside the extended warranty cutoff.
The contact owns a 2015 Ford Fiesta. The contact stated that while pressing the brake pedal the brakes would grab and jerk causing the vehicle to abruptly stop and making the vehicle undrivable. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic who replaced the brake pads, brake rotors, and brake lines but the vehicle continue to exhibit the failure. After reexamining the vehicle it was determined that the ABS module was faulty and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer and local dealer were contacted but no assistance was offered. The failure mileage was 130,000.
The contact owns a 2015 Ford Fiesta. The contact stated while driving 25 MPH, the vehicle began to lose forward momentum. The contact stated that the check engine warning light was illuminated. The contact pulled over and stopped the vehicle but did not turn off the vehicle. The contact attempted to shift into reverse(R) but the vehicle only revved while depressing the accelerator pedal. The contact attempted to shift into drive (D) and the vehicle revved but did not move forward. The contact turned off the vehicle and had it towed to a dealer. The vehicle was diagnosed by the dealer and determined that the TCM needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired by the dealer under Customer Satisfaction Program: 14M02 Transmission Control Module (Power Train). The vehicle had been repaired. The contact was called by the dealer, prior to retrieving the vehicle, and was informed that the actual failure was the clutch, however the dealer advised that the vehicle was no longer under warranty coverage for Customer Satisfaction Program: 19N08 Transmission Clutch Shudder (Power Train). The vehicle had not been repaired. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 114,000.
The contact's father-in-law owns a 2015 Ford Fiesta. The contact stated while the owner was driving approximately 45 MPH, the engine misfired. The contact stated that the check engine warning light was illuminated. The contact also stated that the vehicle was leaking coolant. The owner took the vehicle to the local dealer, where it was diagnosed with needing the engine to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. Upon investigation, the contact associated the failure with NHTSA Campaign Number: 17V209000 (Engine and Engine Cooling) however, the VIN was not included. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.
Dealer replaced a faulty TCM, After receiving the vehicle back it still doesn't shift correctly or seem to acknowledge input from the gas pedal. will occasionally shift into neutral before going into the correct gear. At 45 MPH the RPM was 5000
Whenever I put gas in my car, it will not start right away. I have waited close to 15 minutes for my car to finally let me start it and leave the gas station. The check engine light is on. I have a diagnostic test scheduled for next week. I was told by the dealership that there is no recall for my car.
The contact owns a 2015 Ford Fiesta. The contact stated that while at a complete stop, the vehicle would shudder upon depression of the accelerator pedal without warning. As the failure worsened, the contact initially took the vehicle to an independent mechanic who informed her that her vehicle was under warranty; and referred her to the dealer for assistance. The dealer then informed the contact that her vehicle was not covered under warranty and provided an estimate for the repair of a defective clutch assembly. The manufacturer was also notified of the failure and confirmed that her vehicle was not covered under warranty; she was then referred to the NHTSA for assistance. The vehicle had yet to be repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 63,000.
I spent $2400 on this car to have the dual clutch is replaced in the transmission it was supposed to be under warranty. The dealership charged me for it. The transmission on this car gets stuck causes it to go in reverse and blocks it heats up and is undrivable. It has been parked on the side of my house for one year now I have been in a rental car which Ford told me to get and they would refund me back up to $45 a day. I am out $8000 in rental fees. They claim that the transmission control module is recalled for this car.
Goes with Incidents: 11501018, 11500972 & 11500985 I am 100% Disabled, but work occassionally via SSA Ticket to Work program, for Amazon, using Ford Fiesta to deliver packages. 2.1.22 I bought 4 new tires from Costco. 2.3.22 I was delivering in a rural area, about 3:30PM. It had snowed. I had delivered to a farm, drove back to main road, but on the way, stopped to look at and take photo from car of some cute horses wearing coats. No one around, road pretty flat. As I went to move forward, this is really bad, the road went UP and it was angled, the car again, took off, as in my other report. Luckily I had my seatbelt on. I believe I had just shifted to Drive, foot still on brake, and this car was like I had stomped down on the accelerator. Also luckily, I was not facing those horses! I couldn't believe it, car went flying UP this road, brakes not working, I could steer, it was taking me right towards a BUSY ROAD. My heart was pounding, going UP this angled road, should have stopped the momentum, it did not. I turned the steering wheel, hard, to the right. Somehow as the tracks in the snow showed, the car did go to the right, but it kept going, across the road I was on, to the left side, into a ditch and a bale of hay! This was about 1 house from that main, busy road. With new tires. 1st a FedEx driver saw what happened, asked about the tracks going to one side then the other. He tried to pull me out, but couldn't. Then a nice farmer and his gf stopped, he had a large 4-wheel drive, after an hour, even with shovels, we couldn't get out, he went back home, brought a 2nd truck, some ropes, they slowly dragged me out, away from hay stacks. They also noticed my basic S-curve, I couldn't stop, so I drove into the hay! This Ford did what it did before, took off with no pressure on the accelerator. It was stopped. I certainly didn't stomp down, I was braking and steering. I was stuck in freezing cold for 2+ hours. Then spent $325 on new brakes, rotors.
Swollen Lug Nuts
The contact owns a 2015 Ford Fiesta. The contact stated that while driving approximately 50 MPH, the vehicle lost motive power and stalled without warning. The vehicle was towed to the local dealer who diagnosed that the transmission clutch had failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not yet repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but offered no assistance. The failure mileage was 37,600.
Since early Friday morning on 11/5/21, my Ford Fiesta has been having an intermittent involuntary braking issue associated with all of the lights flickering on/off and the gauges swiping back/forth on the cluster/dashboard while driving. I also noticed the “Hill Assist Control” alert pops up on the radio monitor with the involuntary braking. As well as the sound of the door being open with the key in the ignition will come on while the involuntary braking occurs. Additionally, the windows were resisting being rolled up while driving but will roll up when in park. I also noticed this braking problem tends to reoccur with accelerating quickly or making a turn. On friday afternoon on 11/5/21, I had cautiously drove with my hazards on, while the intermittent involuntary braking problem continued to persist, to my local Autonation Ford to ask about a safety recall associated with this involuntary braking problem and they told me there was no safety recall associated with this problem at this time. They told me that I would need to pay $1100 to replace and reprogram my cluster/dashboard computer. This is unacceptable given the inherent safety risks associated with this intermittent and involuntary braking problem. I believe I should be able to replace and reprogram my cluster/dashboard computer for free due to the safety risks. Thank you for reviewing and considering my proposal of my safety issue.
CAR DISPLAYED LOW COOLANT ON DISPLAY. ADDED COOLANT AND COOLANT LIGHT WENT AWAY. A FEW DAYS LATER, THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND THE CAR COULD NOT DRIVE FASTER THAN 20 MPH. TOOK TO THE FORD DEALERSHIP AND WAS INFORMED THAT THE COOLING SYSTEM HAD OVERHEATED AND CAUSED THE OIL TO END UP IN THE CYLINDER. THE COOLING SYSTEM OVERHEATED 1.5 YEARS AGO AND HAD THE THERMOSTAT REPLACED UNDER WARRANTY. NOW VEHICLE HAS 71,000 MILES AND OUT OF WARRANTY. FORD DEALER SAYS THAT THE WHOLE ENGINE NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. IT HAS 1.0L ECOBOOST ENGINE WHICH APPARENTLY HAS MANY ISSUES.

Transmission is stuck in gear and car will no longer operate. Check engine light is on as well as all other warning lights. This is the 3rd repair for the transmission.
The contact owns a 2015 Ford Fiesta. The contact stated while depressing the brakes at various speeds, the vehicle lunged forward before coming to a complete stop. The vehicle was diagnosed and nor repaired. There was no warning light illuminated. The manufacturer was not informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 34,000. Consumer stated vehicle is still experiencing the same problems at random times. The car has 4 engine cylinders.
THIS CAR WAS GOING DOWN THE STREET AND WOULD NOT SHIFT AND STOPPED GOING AND WE HAD TOO GET IT TOWED TO THE FORD HOUSE FOR REPAIRS,
WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD GOING TO THE HOSPITAL IT STARTED CUTTING OUT AND WOULD NOT SHIFT GEARS AND WOULD NOT GO. sO WE CALLED THE ROADSIDE SERVICE & HAD TO HAVED IT TOWED TO THE SHOP. NOW 3 WEEKS LATER IT IS COVERED BY A RECALL AND EXTENDED COVERAGE BUT IT MAY TAKE UP TO A YEAR TO GET THE PARTS, AND WE NEED A CAR. This is supposed to be due to a problem with these particular model of Ford. Well then they should at least provide us with a car until this one is fixed.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 FORD FIESTA. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING AND APPROACHING A STOP SIGN, THE VEHICLE STALLED. THE CONTACT SLOWLY DEPRESSED THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL AND THE RPM REVVED UP HOWEVER, THE VEHICLE FAILED TO RESPOND. THE CONTACT WAITED FOR SEVERAL MINUTES, DEPRESSED THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL AND THE VEHICLE RESPONDED SLOWLY. THE FAILURE PERSISTED EACH TIME THE CONTACT WAS APPROACHING EITHER A RED TRAFFIC LIGHT OR A STOP SIGN UNTIL THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO GET THE VEHICLE BACK TO THE RESIDENCE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED NOR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 79,000.
ON APRIL 11, 2021, THE 2015 FORD FIESTA I WAS DRIVING UNINTENTIONALLY ACCELERATED INTO A COMMERCIAL BUILDING AT A SHOPPING MALL. THE CAR HAD TWO INCIDENTS OF ACCELERATING WHILE APPLYING THE BRAKE PRIOR TO THE FINAL INCIDENT WHERE THE CAR RAN INTO A WALL AND WAS TOTALED. THE CAR HAD NEVER EXHIBITED ANY BRAKING OR ACCELERATION ISSUES BEFORE THIS DAY. THE FIRST INCIDENT, I WAS SLOWING DOWN TO GO OVER A SPEED BUMP. AS I WAS APPLYING THE BRAKE, THE CAR JERKED FORWARD THEN STOPPED. IT DROVE AS NORMAL THROUGH TRAFFIC FOR THE NEXT 8 MILES. I WAS CLOSE TO MY DESTINATION, AS I WAS APPLYING THE BRAKE AT A STOP LIGHT, THE CAR SPED UP AND STOPPED WHEN I PULLED THE EMERGENCY BRAKE. AGAIN, THE CAR DROVE FINE FOR THE NEXT MILE. I WAS VERY AWARE WHILE I WAS PULLING INTO A PARKING SPACE. NEITHER THE BRAKE OR ACCELERATOR WAS APPLIED AS I WAS COASTING INTO A SPACE. AS I APPLIED THE BRAKE, THE CAR SPED UP, JUMPED THE CURB AND ACCELERATED INTO THE SIDE OF A BUILDING. ACCORDING TO A WITNESS AND SUPPORTED BY PATTERN OF SKID MARKS, AT ONE POINT THE CAR WAS AIRBORNE. WITH THE DISTANCE OF ABOUT 15 FEET BETWEEN THE CURB AND WALL, THERE WAS LITTLE TIME TO REACT. IN MY ATTEMPT TO PULL THE EMERGENCY BRAKE, I INJURED MY THUMB. MY PASSENGER SUSTAINED VARIOUS BRUISES FROM THE SEAT BELT AND THE FRONT DASHBOARD. NEITHER THE DRIVER NOR PASSENGER AIRBAGS DEPLOYED. ACCORDING TO THE BLACK BOX REPORT, THE CAR ACCELERATED FROM 0-100% IN THE FINAL 5 SECONDS AND THE BRAKE WAS APPLIED AT 10%-55%, YET THE CAR CONTINUED TO ACCELERATE. I DID NOT REMOVE MY FOOT FROM THE BRAKE UNTIL AFTER THE CAR IMPACT, WHICH IS SUPPORTED BY SKID MARKS SHOWN IN PHOTOS. IN AUGUST 2019, FORD MOTOR WAS AWARE OF A TRANSMISSION CLUTCH SHUTTER ISSUE, BUT STILL PROCEEDED WITH SELLING THE CAR TO AN AUCTION. ONE MONTH LATER, I PURCHASED FROM A DEALERSHIP.
The clutch pedal sticks to the floor after driving on the highway for 30 minutes or so. The clutch pedal can be brought back up by lifting it with my foot. The clutch pedal has a very minimal amount of travel in it when this happens and can be pumped to bring back normal operation for a few minutes. There doesnt seem to be a fluid leak in the system. My local dealer inspected the clutch slave cylinder and it appeared to be operational and otherwise fine. The risk this poses is that i need to be able to shift gears and otherwise operate the car properly in case of an emergency. a sticking clutch pedal prevents me from being able to select the correct gear for my road speed, and it affects the ability for a controlled takeoff from a stop, this potentially affects my ability to react to an emergency as well. The dealer was not able to recreate the problem because it takes too long or a certain set of circumstances to replicate the issue. The car does not have a warning light or message for this.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 FORD FIESTA. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING 25 MPH, THE ENGINE OVER HEATED AS THE VEHICLE STALLED. THE CONTACT STATED NO WARNING LIGHT WAS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE FAILED TO RESTART AND THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO EWALD'S VENUS FORD (2727 E LAYTON AVE, CUDAHY, WI 53110) TO BE DIAGNOSED. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE ENGINE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE CONTACT RELATED THE ISSUE TO A HEAD GASKET FAILURE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE HEAD GASKET HAD BEEN REPLACED ONCE PRIOR TO OWNING THE VEHICLE HOWEVER, THE FAILURE OCCURRED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER HAD BEEN INFORMED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 76,000.
VEHICLE'S FRONT DRIVER SIDE WINDOW SPONTANEOUSLY FELL OFF TRACK AND INTO THE DOOR WHILE IN A CAR WASH AT DEALERSHIP. OPERATOR WAS OVERCOME WITH WATER, ENTIRE INTERIOR WAS SOAKING WET.
WHEN OPENING PASSENGER DOOR TO DEPOSIT BAGS INTO PASSENGER SEAT DOOR LATCH MALFUNCTIONED AND WOULD NO LONGER ALLOW DOOR TO FULLY LATCH AND REMAIN CLOSED. THE LATCH MECHANISM MOVED FREELY WHEN MANIPULATED AND WAS NOT STUCK IN THE CLOSED POSITION. VEHICLE WAS NOT IN MOTION AND PARKED, BUT HAD TO BE DRIVEN AFTER THE LATCH FAILURE RESULTING IN THE PASSENGER DOOR WANTING TO SWING OPEN WHEN DRIVING IF NOT HELD. THERE WAS AN ACTIVE RECALL SHOWN FOR 2014-2015 FORD FIESTA'S DOOR LATCH, BUT I WAS TOLD MY VIN DID NOT QUALIFY FOR THE RECALL AND WAS CHARGED $325.17 FOR THE REPAIR/REPLACEMENT AT THE LOCAL DEALERSHIP.
I OWN A 2015 FORD FIESTA AND AFTER REFUELING, THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT IMMEDIATELY START. AFTER SEVERAL TIME ATTEMPTING THE VEHICLE RESTARTED, THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT ACCELERATE PROPERLY AND WOULD LOSS MOTIVE POWER WHILE DRIVING AND STALLED AT A RED LIGHT. AFTER DRIVING FOR APPROXIMATELY ONE MILE, THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT OPERATE NORMALLY.

AFTER FILLING UP MY TANK, I LEFT THE GAS STATION AND IMMEDIATELY APPROACHED A RED LIGHT. WHEN I CAME TO A STOP, MY ENGINE RPM DIPPED AND MY VEHICLE STALLED OUT. I HAVE NOTICED RPM DIPPING THAT OCCURS WHEN I STOP AT A RED LIGHT, USUALLY AFTER I ADD FUEL. OTHER THAN THIS STALL EVENT REPORTED, I HAVE NOT EXPERIENCED ANOTHER, BUT THE RPM DIPS DO OCCUR OFTEN, AGAIN, AFTER ADDING GAS OR FILLING MY TANK. THE DIPPING PERSISTS USUALLY FOR AT LEAST 30 MINUTES AFTER ADDING FUEL. LUCKILY I WAS ABLE TO RESTART MY CAR RIGHT AWAY WITH NO TROUBLE. RPM DIPPING WAS OBSERVED AT EACH STOP ON MY WAY HOME. INTENSITY OF THE DIP VARIED.
ON MANY OCCASIONS WHEN MY VEHICLE IN IN MOTION THE CRUISE CONTROL COMES ON WITHOUT ANY PROMPT AND ACCELERATES WHILE TRAVELING ON STREETS AND HIGHWAYS. THIS DEFECTIVE CRUISE CONTROL HAS CAUSED MYSELF AND MY WIFE TO NEARLY HAVE AN ACCIDENT. THIS IS AN EXTREMELY DANGEROUS VEHICLE BECAUSE OF THIS FAULTY CRUISE CONTROL. THE ONLY WAY TO STOP THIS FAULTY ERROR IS TO IMMEDIATELY ENGAGE THE FOOT BRAKE PEDAL BUT THIS MAY HAPPEN AGAIN IN A SHORT PERIOD OF TIME.
THIS IS NOT MINE. I HAD LEASED IT FOR 3 YEARS AND I TURNED IT BACK IN TO AUTONATION FORD (BRADENTON, FL) IN OCTOBER 2017. I'M SURE THEY CAN TELL YOU WHO HAS IT NOW.
THE TRANSMISSION GOES INTO NUTURAL WHILE DRIVING CREATING A LOSS OF POWER WHILE IN MOTION. THE AIR BAGS WILL NOT DEPLOY AND THE LIGHT INDICATOE IS TURNED ON ON THE DASH DISPLAY. GAS MILLEAGE HAS GREATLY DECREASED.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 FORD FIESTA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT AFTER REFUELING, THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT IMMEDIATELY START. AFTER RESTARTING, THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT ACCELERATE PROPERLY AND WOULD LOSS MOTIVE POWER WHILE DRIVING. AFTER DRIVING FOR APPROXIMATELY ONE MILE, THE VEHICLE WOULD OPERATE NORMALLY. THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS NOT DETERMINED. THE LOCAL DEALER AUTONATION FORD BRADENTON LOCATED AT 5325 14TH ST W, BRADENTON, FL 34207, AND THE MANUFACTURER WERE NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 85,000.
