TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 FORD FIVE HUNDRED. THE CONTACT WAS DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 60 MPH WHEN A LOUD POP WAS HEARD AND SUDDENLY, THE SUN ROOF GLASS EXPLODED. THE GLASS SHATTERED INSIDE OF THE VEHICLE AND THE CONTACT SUFFERED INJURY TO THE EYE FROM SMALL FRAGMENTS OF GLASS ENTERING THE EYE. THE VEHICLE WAS MANEUVERED TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. THE REAR TRUNK AND REAR BUMPER SUSTAINED SEVERE SCRATCHES. THE WAS TAKEN TO A COLLISION CENTER FOR REPAIR. THE TECHNICIAN ALSO INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE FRONT DRIVER SIDE WINDOW GLASS EXHIBITED SPIDER CRACKS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE DEFECT. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 32,724.

THE FIRE WAS PUT OUT BY THE CONTACT BUT THE ORIGIN OF THE FIRE WAS UNKNOWN. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR INSPECTION OR REPAIRS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND ADVISED THE CONTACT THAT HE WOULD LATER BE CONTACTED BY THE LEGAL DEPARTMENT. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 40,000.
THE FRONT WINDSHIELD DEFROSTER DOES NOT DEFROST THE DRIVER'S SIDE PROPERLY. THIS CONDITION CAUSED POOR VISIBILITY WHEN DRIVING IN INCLEMENT CONDITIONS.
