I was given engine codes P144A and P1450. Whenever I fill up my gas tank completely I have to turn the key multiple times to actually get the car to start. The lower the tank is before the fill up, the more times I have to turn the key to eventually get it to start. Everytime I turn and it stalls I pray that it doesn't blow up. It will make the quick triplet sound and then won't "vroom." The component to be complained about is the Engine/Fuel system, and it is available for inspection upon request. Well for 1 I wasn't sure if this stalling would occur while actually driving, and based off of online research it could happen, and 2 as I said previously I was genuinely worried whether or not the car would blow up, let alone start. I have seen a recall regarding this issue to other cars with the exact same make, model, and engine type dating back to 2019, but for some reason the recall isn't covered under my vehicle's specific VIN. The component has not been inspected yet because I am hoping to find a way to have the recall cover my vehicle so I don't have to pay as much for it. There hasn't been an exact "failure" more of a problem with unknown consequences. The light first appeared probably about 6 months ago, but the initial engine codes I got (I have since gotten them twice more, the most recent being about a month and a half ago) indicated that the only problem I MAY experience was incorrect display of gas on the dash. I didn't notice it at all, so I figured it wasn't that serious nor a safety concern.
THE DUAL CLUTCH TRANSMISSION IS SLIPPING. I CONTACTED FORD AND THEY INDICATED THAT THIS ISSUE IS NOT COVERED UNDER THE WARRANTY EVEN THOUGH A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT HAS BEEN SETTLED REGARDING THIS TYPE OF VEHICLE.
I HAD JUST PURCHASED FORD FOCUS USED. THE DEALERSHIP TOLD ME, THAT MY CAUSE RECALL DOES NOT STAND. BECAUSE IT EXCEEDED OVER 100,000 MILES. THEY SAID IT OUT OF WARRANTY. THEY TOLD ME TO PAY $3,400 ESTIMATION TO FIX THE CAR. I TOLD THEM RECALL DON'T EXPIRE. ALSO THAT FORD MANUFACTURES TELL ME UP TO 2012-2017 HAVE RECALLS ON TRANSMISSIONS ISSUES. I'M JUST UPSET THEY DON'T HOLD UP TO THERE STANDARDS WITH FORD AND I LOVE FORD MOTORS. THEY CAR STALLS AND WON'T GO INTO GEAR. IT HAS DIFFICULTY RESPONDING TO GEARS. I BOUGHT IT USED ABS NOTICE THE PROBLEMS. SO I HAULED IT IN TO THE FORD DEALERSHIP.
I HAVE HAD THIS SITUATION HAPPEN IN SEVERAL DIFFERENT SCENARIOS. ESSENTIALLY, THE TRANSMISSION DOES NOT KNOW IF THE VEHICLE IS IN PARK / REVERSE / NEUTRAL / DRIVE AND THEREFORE I CANNOT SHIFT POSITIONS OR MOVE THE VEHICLE. SOMETIMES WHEN I TURN VEHICLE OVER, I AM PARKED BUT VEHICLE DOES NOT KNOW I AM PARKED (THERE IS P / R / N / D ON DASHBOARD AND USUALLY A GREY BOX INDICATES WHAT POSITION I AM IN. WHEN IT DOESN'T KNOW WHERE I AM, THERE IS NO GREY BOX AT ALL). SOMETIMES THIS HAPPENS AFTER DRIVING, THEN I PARK AND SIT IDLE FOR A BIT, THEN TRY TO LEAVE BUT VEHICLE DOESN'T KNOW WHAT POSITION I AM IN. IN THE MOST DANGEROUS SCENARIOS, I WILL BE DRIVING!!!!! THEN THE VEHICLE DOESN'T KNOW I AM IN D AND WHEN I TRY TO ACCELERATE, I JUST REV ON THE ENGINE AS IF I AM IN NEUTRAL. I HAVE HAD THIS HAPPEN ON THE HIGHWAY AS WELL AS WHEN GOING SLOW. IT IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS. THIS VEHICLE IS KNOWN FOR HAVING TRANSMISSION ISSUES (IT WAS NOT WELL KNOWN WHEN I ORIGINALLY PURCHASED THE VEHICLE). CAR IS CURRENTLY IN SHOP SO I DO NOT HAVE ANY INFO / FEEDBACK FROM FORD.
The transmission went bad and I had to replace the clutch , the car would not go in reverse and left me on a busy street , the car also will turn off if the gas in under 80 miles til empty
After completing door latch recall there is still an alert the the hatchback is open. And doesn't shut off. The dealer states that I have to pay for replacement since the recall shows complete. Except the instructions did not show anything in regards to this component , in regards to the fuel system, the dealer said I would have to pay for test to determine if the PCM would fix the engine ight after I took in for recall.
Transmission continually is slipping. The dual clutch transmission is the problem. Ford settled a class action law suit regarding this type of vehicle. I was never notified.
The contact owns a 2012 Ford Focus. The contact stated while driving 70 MPH, the transmission failed to shift as designed. The contact stated that the transmission malfunction service now warning light was illuminated. The contact parked on the side of the road and turned off the vehicle. The contact stated that after restarting the vehicle, the warning light was no longer illuminated. The contact was able to continue driving to his destination. The contact continued to experience the failure. The contact called the local dealer and made them aware of the failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact stated that the transmission malfunction service now warning light was again illuminated. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 120,000.
AS I GO DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY, THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER SHOWS A "STOP SAFELY NOW" MESSAGE. THE PROBLEM IS THAT HAPPENS WHEN THE VEHICLE IS IN MOTION AND LOSSES ALL POWER, THE POWER TRAIN GOES DEATH. THIS IS A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION SPECIALLY WHEN YOURE TRAVELING ON A PRETTY LOADED HIGHWAY AT 78MPH. THE ONLY GOOD THING IS THAT STEERING WHEEL IS STILL ALIVE AND BRAKES TOO. I HAD 90% OF BATTERY LIFE AND IT WAS A HOT DAY OUT THERE AT 94F DEGREES. I DID NOT TAKE A PICTURE OF THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER BUT I HAVE THE MESSAGE I RECEIVED IN MY CELL PHONE.
WHILE DRIVING MY 2012 FORD FOCUS SE ON 4/28/2021 AT 45MPH MY WINDSHIELD WIPERS BEGAN TO MOVE ERRATICALLY ON THEIR OWN - AT DIFFERENT SPEED LEVELS. THEY DID NOT RESPOND TO THE LEVER AT ALL. THE WIPERS CONTINUED AFTER IGNITION WAS TURNED OFF. AT 7:15AM THE NEXT MORNING OF 4/29/2021 WHILE DRIVING AT 20MPH, THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS RESPONDED TO THE LEVER WHEN TURNED ON AND OFF. HOWEVER AT 10:30A, THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS BEGAN TO MOVE BACK AND FORTH ERRATICALLY AGAIN WITHOUT BEING ACTIVATED BY THE LEVER. LATER IN THE AFTER NOON, 5PM WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY AT 65MPH, THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS STOPPED WORKING ALL TOGETHER IN THE MIDST OF A RAINSTORM. AS OF TODAY, 4/30/2021 THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS ARE NON-RESPONSIVE.
MY DAUGHTER BOUGHT A 2012 FORD FOCUS SEL ABOT 2 WEEKS AGO IN 1 WEEK SHE RAN OUT OF GAS AND FUEL GAUGE WAS MARKING A 1/4 QUATER TANK WE FILLED THE GAS TANK AND IT WAS WORKING FINE ON 4/19/21 SAME THING HAPPEN ON THE HIGHWAY MARKING 1/4 QUATER TANK BUT IT SHUT OFF TWICE WHILE DRIVING NO 1 GOT HURT OR NO ACCIDENT 1 TIME IT WAS ON CITY STREET THE OTHER ON THE HIGHWAY AT MIDNIGHT
TL* THE CONTACT CALLED ON BEHALF OF HIS SON WHO OWNS A 2012 FORD FOCUS. THE CONTACT STATED HIS SON WAS DRIVING TO THE AIRPORT WHEN THE VEHICLE STALLED AND FAILED TO RESTART. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO HIS RESIDENCE. THE FOLLOWING DAY THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO CHARLES GABUS FORD (4545 MERLE HAY RD, DES MOINES, IA 50310) TO BE DIAGNOSED. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE TCM NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED HOWEVER, SEVERAL MONTHS LATER THE FAILURE RECURRED WITH THE TRANSMISSION WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT A MESSAGE ON THE INSTRUMENT DISPLAY SUGGESTED THAT THE VEHICLE BE SHIFTED TO PARK. THE VEHICLE WAS SHIFTED INTO PARK, RESTARTED, AND DRIVEN TO A NEARBY PARKING LOT. THE VEHICLE WAS THEN TOWED TO THE RESIDENCE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 66,000.*DT
WHILE ACCELERATING OUT OF A PARKING LOT TO PULL OUT INTO TRAFFIC, ACCELERATING THROUGH INTERSECTIONS, OR TAKING A RIGHT ON RED, THE CAR WILL START TO ACCELERATE AND THEN SUDDENLY AS IT TRY'S TO DOWNSHIFT, IT ACTS AS IF ITS STUCK IN NEUTRAL, AND WONT ACCELERATE AT ALL. ON MULTIPLE OCCASIONS I HAVE ALMOST BEEN HIT BY OTHER MOVING VEHICLES. SOME GOING 50 MPH HAVE HAD TO SLAM THEIR BRAKES ON BECAUSE I WASN'T ABLE TO FINISH ACCELERATING TO GET OUT OF THE WAY. WHEN IT ISN'T DOING THAT, IT HAS JERKY/ ROUGH/ DOWNSHIFTS. IT ALSO VIBRATES WHEN I TRY TO SPEED UP AND SOMETIMES HAS A HESITATION AND THEN WILL KICK IN TO GEAR. THIS IS A VERY SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE AND HAS ALMOST CAUSED ME TO GET HIT BY OTHER CARS IN MOTION MULTIPLE TIMES . ESPECIALLY TRYING TO PULL OUT INTO TRAFFIC! I BROUGHT IT TO THE USED DEALERSHIP I BOUGHT IT FROM AND THEY DISCOVERED THERE WAS A COMMUNICATION ERROR CODE WITH THE TCM. THEY DID A SYSTEM RESET AND 24 HOURS LATER, IT WAS BACK TO DOING THE SAME THING AGAIN. AFTER DOING RESEARCH I LEARNED THAT THERE WAS A RECALL ON THIS ISSUE AND THE RECALL DOES A FREE RESET FOR YOU. WELL, THIS DOES NOT FIX THE SAFETY ISSUE! IT ACTUALLY NEEDS TO BE REPLACED TO THEIR NEWER UPDATED MODEL THAT ISN'T DEFECTIVE LIKE THIS ONE. SO, THEIR CURRENT SAFETY RECALL DOES NOTHING. ALSO, OTHER RESEARCH SHOWED ME THAT FORD WENT THROUGH A GIANT LAWSUIT OVER THESE EXACT PROBLEMS IN 2016 AND ONE RESULT WAS AN EXTENDED WARRANTY OF 10 YEARS OR 150K MILES. THIS DOESN'T HELP THE PEOPLE THAT ARE ALREADY OVER THE 150K MILES! THEIR SAFETY ISSUE IS STILL PRESENT! NEXT I'M CONTACTING THE BBB, ATTORNEY GENERAL, THE LOCAL NEW CHANNELS, AND THE GOVERNOR! TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 FORD FOCUS. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY, THE FRONT DRIVER'S SIDE SEAT BELT LATCH FAILED TO UNLATCH. THE RELEASE BUTTON WAS DEPRESSED SEVERAL TIMES FOR THE SEAT BELT TO UNLATCH. THE CONTACT STATED THAT AFTER THE SEAT BELT WAS FINALLY UNLATCHED IT HAS FAILED TO RELATCH.THERE WAS NO WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO THE LOCAL DEALER OR INDEPENDENT MECHANIC TO BE DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER HAD NOT BEEN INFORMED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 132,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 FORD FOCUS. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE POWER STEERING ASSIST WARNING LIGHT WAS ILLUMINATED AT START-UP. THE CONTACT WOULD RESTART THE VEHICLE AND THE VEHICLE WOULD RESUME NORMAL OPERATION. RECENTLY, THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT RESUME NORMAL OPERATION AFTER THE WARNING LIGHT WAS ILLUMINATED AND THE VEHICLE WAS RESTARTED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT EXCESSIVE FORCE WAS NEEDED TO STEER THE VEHICLE ONCE THE WARNING LIGHT WAS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO BE DIAGNOSED AND REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 128,000. Consumer stated steering was replaced.
The contact owns a 2012 Ford Focus. The contact stated while driving at various speeds, the vehicle stalled without warning. The contact also stated that after refueling, the vehicle fails to start up after several attempts. The vehicle was towed to the residence twice due to the failure. The following day the vehicle failed to start up with the check engine warning light intermittently flashing on the instrument panel. The vehicle was taken to the dealer and the contact was informed that the Vin was not under recall. Upon investigation, the contact linked the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 19V515000 (Fuel System, Gasoline). The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 115,000.
FOR YEARS MY CAR HAS RANDOMLY SHUT DOWN WHILE DRIVING AND HAS BEEN NEEDED TO BE TOWED TWICE. IT AND HAS HAD 10 RECALLS PERFORMED, INCLUDING THE TRANSMISSION. MY CAR SHUT DOWN AGAIN ON MONDAY NIGHT COASTING ALONG A FLAT ROAD AT 45 MPH SO I DECIDED TO CALL FORD TODAY AND ASK WHAT NEW RECALLS HAVE COME OUT AND THEY STATED MY CAR HAS A FIELD SERVICE ISSUE FOR THE TRANSMISSION THAT IS COMMON BUT THEY HAVE NOT RECALLED IT. WHY? THEY ALSO MENTIONED THAT THEY HAVE TO LOOK INTO WHETHER OR NOT I WOULD HAVE TO PAY TO FIX THIS COMMONLY REPORTED PROBLEM.
VEHICLE STEERING ASSIST FAILED AS I WAS MAKING A TURN AT APPROXIMATELY 20 MPH. STEERING THE VEHICLE BECAME EXTREMELY DIFFICULT. VEHICLE WAS PARKED AND TURNED OFF THEN RESTARTED. POWER RETURNED AFTER RESTART.
Slow acceleration rough shifting in transmission E8 and E9 Code's detected on my OBD reader at auto zone
AT RANDOM TIMES I RECEIVE THE 'STEERING ASSIST FAULT' NOTICE AND CAN'T STEER. I TURN THE KEY OFF, TRY AGAIN AND IT DRIVES LIKE NORMAL. I TOOK IT TO THE DEALER ONCE, BUT THERE IS NO DTC CODE TO TELL THEM WHAT TO DO, SO NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE. TODAY WAS THE FIRST TIME IT HAPPENED TWICE IN ONE DAY. THE FIRST TIME TODAY WAS WHILE BACKING OUT OF A PARKING SPACE LIKE ALL THE OTHER TIMES, BUT THEN A FEW HOURS LATER SOMETHING NEW HAPPENED AND IT WENT OUT WHILE GOING FORWARD AND PULLING AWAY FROM A RESIDENTIAL CURB. LUCKILY THERE WAS NO TRAFFIC AND I ONLY MOVED A FEW FEET AWAY FROM THE CURB. I RESTARTED IT AGAIN AND IT DROVE LIKE NORMAL.
THE 6 SPEED POWER ASSIST TRANSMISSION HESITATES. SHIFTS ROUGHLY, AND SHUTTERS WHEN SHIFTING. THE HESITATION IS SOMETIMES FROM A DEAD STOP AND THAT'S A HAZARD WHEN ENTERING TRAFFIC. MOSTLY HIGHWAY DRIVING. THIS HAS BEEN ONGOING. IT WAS REPAIRED BY THE DEALER ONCE BUT IS HAPPENING AGAIN.
THE VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION DRIVING ON EXPRESSWAY AND THE POWER STEERING WENT OUT. I HAD MY TWO GRANDCHILDREN IN THE VEHICLE. I HAD A VERY HARD TIME GETTING THE VEHICLE OVER ON THE SIDE OF THE HIGHWAY. ALL FORD 2012 VEHICLES WERE RECALLED FOR THIS PROBLEM EXCEPT THE FOCUS.
I STARTED MY CAR THIS MORNING TO WARM UP, I LIVE IN MAINE, SO AFTER 10 MINUTES I WANT TO GO TO WORK AND MY POWER STEERING WAS OFF , I COULDN'T TURN THE STEERING WHEEL EASILY LIKE NORMAL AND THE CAR WAS RUNNING. GOOD THING IT DIDN'T HAPPENED LATER TONIGHT ON HOCKEY 🏒 PRACTICE WITH MY SON. IT'S VERY BIG SAFETY ISSUE. PLEASE ADVISE. THANKS.
TRANSMISSION ISSUE FOR 2012 FORD FOCUS IS CODE PO7A3 A RECALL ITEM? TRANSMISSION ISSUE MAKES IT UNABLE TO DRIVE SAFELY. LOCAL FORD DEALERSHIP STATES NOT A RECALL ITEM. BUT I NEVER RECEIVED ANY RECALL NOTICE FROM THEM REGARDING ANY TRANSMISSION ISSUES AND I JUST WANT TO VERIFY IT IS NOT A COVERED RECALL REPAIR AS IT WILL BE COSTLY.
MY CAR WAS DRIVING PERFECTLY FINE, THEN OUT OF NOWHERE I GOT AN ERROR SAYING MY STEERING ASSIST WAS MESSED UP. I PULLED INTO A PARKING LOT BECAUSE MY STEERING WHEEL STARTED TO LOCK ON THE HIGHWAY. I TURNED MY CAR OFF, AND WHEN I TURNED IT BACK ON I GOT AN ERROR STATING THAT THERE WAS A "STEERING LOSS" AND TO "STOP SAFELY." MY STEERING WHEEL IS COMPLETELY LOCKED OUT OF NOWHERE AND IS UNABLE TO DRIVE WITH VIRTUALLY NO WARNING OR ERROR MESSAGE PRIOR TO TODAY. I LOOKED UP TO SEE IF OTHERS HAVE HAD THIS ISSUE AND THERE ARE HUNDREDS OF COMPLAINTS ABOUT THE FORD FOCUS WITH THIS EXACT ISSUE. FORD HAS IGNORED THIS ISSUE FOR YEARS AND NEEDS TO MAKE A SAFETY RECALL FOR AN ERROR THAT WAS MADE ON THEIR END INSTEAD OF CAUSING PEOPLE TO PAY THOUSANDS OUT OF POCKET FOR AN ERROR THAT WAS MADE BY THE DEALER.
I WAS DRIVING MY 2012 FORD FOCUS AND THEN IT STARTED TO NOT SHIFT WHEN I WAS ON A BUSY ROAD WITH THE SPEED LIMIT 50 MPH AND GOING UP HILL. WHEN THE CAR STOPPED SHIFTING I ONLY WENT 20 MPH OR LESS. THE CAR ONLY HAS 64,500 MILES AND THE MECHANIC SAYS IT'S A BAD CLUTCH AND COMPUTER. THERE'S NO REASON FOR A CAR WITH THAT MANY MILES TO BREAK DOWN LIKE THAT EVEN IF IT'S 9 YEARS OLD. THERE'S A FLAW IN THE DESIGN OF THE TRANSMISSION AND EVERYONE IS LETTING FORD GET AWAY WITH IT. I DON'T HAVE THE MONEY TO DO THIS, DOESN'T FORD MAKE ENOUGH MONEY. THEY SHOULD'VE AT LEAST GAVE ME THE WARRANTY FOR IT.
The contact owns a 2012 Ford Focus. The contact stated that the doors of the vehicle would intermittently fail to lock when engaged with the key fob. The contact received a recall notification for NHTSA Campaign Number: 20V331000 (Latches/Locks/Linkages) and the vehicle was taken to the dealer who inspected the vehicle and diagnosed that no issues were found. The contact stated that sometime later, she noticed that the key fob and the vehicle master power door lock window switch would no longer lock or unlock the doors of the vehicle. There were no warning lights illuminated. The contact stated that she would lock each door manually in order to secure the vehicle. The contact also stated that the doors would make an abnormal clicking sound and unlock while driving. The door lock indicator on the instrument cluster would not indicate that the doors were locked while driving. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who advised the contact that the OBD reader was not reading any codes. The contact stated that the failure had been reoccurring increasingly. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but did not provide any assistance. The manufacturer referred the contact to NHTSA. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 153,000.
The contact owns a 2012 Ford Focus. The contact stated that while driving the vehicle overheated. Additionally, the contact stated while accelerating the vehicle shakes and shutters. There were no warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer who diagnosed the air conditioner, transmission module, thermostat sensor, and control fan module needed to be replaced. The contact was informed the head gasket was leaking oil. The vehicle was repaired however the failure recurred. The manufacturer was notified. The failure mileage was 41,260. VIN invalid
The contact owns a 2012 Ford Focus. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the vehicle hesitated and stalled while depressing the accelerator pedal, with the service transmission and check engine warning lights illuminated. The local dealer was contacted and made aware of the failure and the contact was informed that the failure was most likely related to the transmission. The contact later received a Customer Satisfaction letter related to the transmission control module (TCM). The vehicle was taken to the dealer and remained in the dealer possession for a week. The contact was informed that the transmission might need to be replaced. The vehicle was not yet repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 150,000.
FORD RECALL 20530, NHTSA RECALL 16V-643. CAR WAS SERVICED UNDER RECALL BUT HAS EXHIBITED ISSUE WITH DOOR OPENING SINCE RECALL SERVICE. WITHIN THE LAST 6 MONTHS THE CAR WILL GIVE A WARNING THAT THE DOOR IS AJAR WHILE DRIVING. THE ISSUE IS INTERMITTENT BUT HAS HAPPENED ON MULTIPLE OCCASIONS. CONTACTED FORD DIRECTLY AND IT WAS STATED THAT THEY WILL NOT REPAIR CAR UNDER THE RECALL. THE "WARRANTY FOR THE RECALL HAS EXPIRED" ALL REPAIRS EVEN THOUGH THEY ARE DIRECTLY RELATED TO THE RECALL WILL HAVE TO BE REPAIRED "OUT OF WARRANY". THIS IS CLEARLY A SAFETY ISSUE. A CAR DOOR SHOULD NOT OPEN WHEN TRAVELING AT 65MPH
WHILE DRIVING HOME LAST NIGHT JUST AFTER EXITING THE HIGHWAY, MY STEERING WHEEL SUDDENLY BECAME STIFF AS IF IT WAS LOCKED. POWER STEERING FAULT LIGHT CAME ON. I HAD TO USE ALL MY MIGHT TO KEEP IT IN A STRAIGHT LINE JUST SO I CAN MAKE IT HOME.
I WAS INVOLVED IN A CAR ACCIDENT AND MY CAR SLIDE ACROSS A HIGHWAY, HIT A MEDIAN, AND CAME TO A STOP HITTING A TREE HEAD ON. IT DEMOLISHED THE DRIVERS SIDE AND NO AIR BAGS DEPLOYED. I UNHOOKED MY SEAT BELT AND MERELY LEANED AGAINST THE DOOR. TO MY SURPRISE, IT OPENED BY ITSELF AND I FELL OUT. CONSEQUENTLY I WAS LAYING IN THE SNOW AND MUD FOR 5 MINUTES BEFORE A GOOD SAMARITAN PULLED ME OUT OF THE MUD. I SUBMITTED MY CAR TO A FORD DEALER/BODYSHOP TO CORRECT ANY RECALLS LAST YEAR, AND I HAVE PROOF THAT THIS WASN'T DONE PROPERLY. NOW I HAVE I HURT DISK IN MY BACK AS WELL AS LITTLE MOBILITY IN MY LEFT LEG.*DT*JB

The contact stated that the failure recurred twenty times. The contact felt it was unsafe to drive the vehicle. THIS IS A PROBLEM RELATED TO SAFETY RECALL 18S32. FORD FOCUS 2012 STALLED AND SHUT OFF WHILE BACKING OUT OF DRIVEWAY AND WOULDN'T TURN BACK ON. I WENT TO AN INDEPENDENT CAR SHOP AND WAS TOLD THE PURGE VALVE MALFUNCTIONED AND CAUSED THE GAS TANK TO DEFORM. I CALLED MY FORD DEALER AND REQUESTED THEM TO REPLACE THE PARTS BECAUSE IT WAS THE SAME PROBLEM FROM THE 2018 RECALL. THEY CONFIRMED THAT IT WAS THE SAME ISSUE BUT SAID THEY WOULDN'T REPLACE THE PARTS FOR FREE BECAUSE THEY ALREADY CLOSED THE RECALL. HOWEVER, WHEN THEY CLOSED THE RECALL FOR ME IN 2019, THEY DIDN'T TELL ME THAT THEY ONLY REPROGRAMMED AND DIDN'T ACTUALLY REPLACE THE PARTS. IF THEY HAD REPLACED THE PARTS IN 2019, THEY WOULDN'T HAVE MALFUNCTIONED NOW. OBVIOUSLY THE FORD DEALER MUST HAVE MADE A MISTAKE WHEN ATTEMPTING TO REPAIR MY CAR AND DIDN'T ACTUALLY FIX IT. THIS IS A HUGE SAFETY ISSUE FOR FORD CARS BECAUSE THE CAR CAN STALL AND TURN OFF AT ANY TIME. EVEN IF THEY FIXED IT BACK IN 2019 (WHICH OBVIOUSLY THEY DIDN'T), IT'S NOT WORKING NOW, MEANING THEY NEED TO DO ANOTHER RECALL AND ACTUALLY SOLVE THE PROBLEM. I'M NOW STUCK DRIVING MY CAR WITH A HUGE SAFETY ISSUE UNTIL I CAN AFFORD TO PAY FOR THE REPAIRS OR UNTIL THEY REOPEN THE RECALL.

MAJOR ELECTRONIC COMPONENT ISSUE. DEALING WITH THE FORD STEREO SYSTEM. HAD THE CAR FOR ROUGHLY 3 YEARS NOW, AND ABOUT A YEAR AGO, I COULD BE LISTENING TO MUSIC, OR HAVING THE RADIO TURNED OFF. AND AT RANDOM TIMES, IF I WAS LISTENING TO MUSIC, THE MUSIC WOULD CUT OFF AND THEN ALL I HEAR IS A BUNCH OF POPPING AND CRACKLING COMING FROM THE SPEAKERS. THIS HAPPENS EVEN WHEN I HAVE THE RADIO OFF! IT HAS RECENTLY GOTTEN SO BAD, THAT I WAS SO CLOSE TO GET INTO A ACCIDENT WHEN THE RADIO DECIDED TO TERRORIZE ME WITH THE OBNOXIOUS CRACKLING AND POPPING, I ENDED UP JERKING THE WHEEL BECAUSE IT SCARED THE LIVING DAYLIGHTS OUT OF ME. IT RECENTLY HAS BEEN DOING IT NON STOP, AND NOW IT HAS GOTTEN TO THE POINT THAT IT WILL BE DOING THIS, WHEN THE KEY IS NOT EVEN IN THE IGNITION. I ENDED UP PULLING THE FUSE FOR THE RADIO BECAUSE IT IS A MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE. THERE SHOULD BE NO REASON A RADIO SHOULD CUT OUT, AND START POPPING AND CRACKLING AT THE LOUDEST VOLUME POSSIBLE. IT HAPPENS EVEN WITH THE RADIO OFF. IT IS A SERIOUS SAFETY HAZARD. I HAVE ALMOST BEEN IN A FEW ACCIDENTS BECAUSE OF THIS RADIO/ELECTRICAL IUSSE. I HAVE DONE RESEARCH. AND IT IS A VERY VERY COMMON PROBLEM. THIS RADIO, CAR, OR ELECTRICAL THAT IS CAUSING THIS NEEDS TO BE REMEDIED, RECALLED, FIXED. IT IS A LIFE THREATENING ISSUE. WHEN THIS ISSUE FIRST STARTED, I HAD ROUGHLY 78,000 MILES ON THE CAR. I AM NOW AT 100,200 AND IT IS GOTTEN SO BAD. IT NEEDS TO BE RECALLED,FIXED,REMEDIED. THERE HAVE BEEN SO MANY PEOPLE COMPLAINING ABOUT THE FORD RADIO SYSTEMS.

THE VEHICLE WAS SEEN AT AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED THE VEHICLE AND DETERMINED THAT THE RACK IN PINON NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE DEALER EL CAJON FORD (1595 E MAIN ST, EL CAJON, CA 92021(619) 579-8888) WAS CONTACTED AND INFORMED THE CONTACT TO SPEAK WITH FORD MANUFACTURER TO DISCUSS OPTIONS FOR REPAIR. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 96,000.

Yes , Yes , No there were no warning signs until after the jerking and shaking started after 39 days then the engine light came on. After that a that the sign said transmission over heating pull over and let car cool down. what was most scary is that it shut off while driving.

THIS HAPPENED WHILE DRIVING HOME ON 125TH ST IN NYC. WHILE WE STOPPED TO GET PIZZA,I NOTICED STEAM BILLOWING FROM UNDER THE HOOD. CHECK IT OUT AND SAW ANTIFREEZE SPEWING OUT FROM THE FIREWALL AND LEAKING ONTO THE GROUND.
