I AM AWARE THAT THE 2013 AND 2014 FORD FOCUS' HAVE A ISSUE THAT WAS RECALLABLE. MY 2015 FORD FOCUS HAS THE SAME ISSUE. DURING THE TRANSITION FROM 1ST TO 2ND GEAR THE CAR SHUTTERS WHICH INDICATES A TRANSMISSION ISSUE. I AM WORRIED THE TRANSMISSION WILL GO OUT OR CAUSE ME TO WRECK IN THE FUTURE. AGAIN, I DO KNOW THAT PREVIOUS YEAR CARS OF THE SAME MAKE AND MODEL HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM AND WERE RECALLED.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 FORD FOCUS. WHILE DRIVING 35 MPH, THE VEHICLE STALLED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE CHECK ENGINE AND BATTERY WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED, AND THE BRAKES FAILED WHEN THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO MOON TOWNSHIP FORD (5304 UNIVERSITY BLVD, CORAOPOLIS, PA 15108) FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING, BUT NO FAILURES WERE FOUND. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT THE CHECK ENGINE AND BATTERY INDICATORS ILLUMINATED PRIOR TO THIS FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE SAME DEALER, BUT THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE COULD NOT BE DETERMINED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURES, BUT OFFERED NO ASSISTANCE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 40,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
The contact owns a 2015 Ford Focus. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle shuddered and was not properly shifting gear. No warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where the vehicle was diagnosed with a failed clutch. The vehicle was not repaired due to cost. However, the clutch had been replaced three times prior, but the failure recurred. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 26,000.

2015 FORD FOCUS. CONSUMER WRITES IN REGARDS TO POWERSHIFT TRANSMISSION SETTLEMENT. *LD THE CONSUMER STATED THE TRANSMISSION WAS REBUILT, BUT THE FAILURE CONTINUED. WHEN THE CONSUMER ATTEMPTS TO ACCELERATE THE VEHICLE STALL AND THEN LURCHES FORWARD BERFORE RESUMING NORAL DRIVING. THE FAILURE WAS INTERMITTENT. THE DEALER COULD NOT DUPLICATE THE FAILURE; THEREFORE, THE COULD NOT REPAIR THE VEHICLE. *JS
THE POWER ASSIST STEERING HAS COMPLETELY GONE TO NOT FUNCTIONING. THE VEHICLE IS EXTREMELY DIFFICULT TO STEER AT SPEEDS BELOW 10-15 MPH, OR WHEN TURNING THE STEERING WHEEL WHEN STATIONARY.
THE POWER STEERING ASSIST HAS COMPLETELY STOPPED FUNCTIONING. THE VEHICLE IS EXTREMELY DIFFICULT TO STEER AT SPEEDS BELOW ABOUT TEN TO FIFTEEN MPH, SUCH AS IN PARKING LOTS AND INTERSECTIONS OF ROADS AND WHILE ATTEMPTING TO PARK AT HOME OR IN PUBLIC LOTS.
ROUGH IDLING AT STOPPING POSITION, STALLING, CUTTING OFF IN TRAFFIC, CHECK ENGINE LIGHT, CODE P0507 IDLE AIR CONTROL VALVE THROTTLE BODY. CAR CUTTING OFF IN TRAFFIC WHILE SHIFTING DOWN
MY HAZARD LIGHTS DID NOT WORK BECAUSE THE SWITCH DIDN'T WORK. HAD TO GET IT REPLACED SO I COULD USE THEM IF I HAD A BREAK DOWN.
THE CAR SHUDDERED AND JERKED WHEN STOPPED AND ON ACCELERATION FROM A STOP. A METAL GRINDING CAN BE HEARD FROM THE ENGINE WHILE DRIVING DURING THIS JERKING FROM ACCELERATION. THE CAR WOULD LOSE POWER WHILE DRIVING. ONE TIME, THE CAR STALLED, RESULTING IN LOSE OF POWER, WHILE I WAS TURNING LEFT THROUGH AN INTERSECTION. I HAVE BROUGHT THE CAR INTO THE DEALERSHIP FOR REPAIR MANY TIMES WITH NO RESOLUTION OF THESE SYMPTOMS.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 FORD FOCUS. WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY, THE REAR MIDDLE SEAT BELT WOULD NOT LATCH WHEN PROMPTED. IN ADDITION, THE POWER STEERING FAILED ON MORE THAN OCCASION. OXMOOR FORD IN LOUISVILLE, KENTUCKY WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT THERE WAS NO RECALL ON THE VEHICLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 70,000.
THERE IS NOW THIS GRINDING NOISE COMING FROM MY CAR ENGINE. WAS ACTING UP A MONTH AFTER I BOUGHT IT IN 2017. EVERYONE SAID OH IT'S FINE THERE'S NOTHING WRONG WITH IT. WELL IT ACTS UP AS SOON AS I START TO DRIVE IT SLOW.... OTHERS SAY IT'S THE TRANSMISSION. AND OTHERS SAY I'M STUPID. IT SLIPS WHEN YOU START TO GO. I WANT THIS FIXED
2015 FORD FOCUS SHUTTERS UPON ACCELERATION. THE CLUTCH ASSEMBLY FOR THE AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION NOW HAS TO BE REPLACED FOR THE THIRD TIME IN OWNING IT LESS THAN 4 YEARS. FORD WILL NOT PAY FOR THE REPLACEMENT AND THERE SHOULD BE A RECALL.
The contact owns a 2015 Ford Focus. The contact stated while driving at various speeds and depressing the accelerator pedal, the vehicle shuddered. There was no warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was diagnosed with transmission clutch shudder. The vehicle was repaired under Ford Campaign Number: 19N08; however, the failure persisted. The vehicle was taken to a second dealer, Eide Ford Mandan (3205 Memorial Hwy, Mandan, ND 58554), where it was diagnosed and determined that the transmission clutch assembly and other unknown parts needed to be replaced. The dealer informed the contact that the vehicle was no longer covered under Ford Campaign Number: 19N08. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, but no assistance was provided. The failure mileage was approximately 15,000.
THIS VEHICLE HAS SEVERE ISSUES WITH THE TRANSMISSION. IT WILL SHUDDER UPON ACCELERATION AND SLIP GEARS. AT LEAST ONCE WHILE IN MOTION, THE VEHICLE SHIFTED ITSELF INTO NEUTRAL AND I LOST THE ABILITY TO ACCELERATE WHILE ON THE HIGHWAY. MY REQUEST FOR RELIEF IN THE CLASS ACTION SUIT WAS DENIED WITH NO EXPLANATION OR WAY TO APPEAL.
I OWNED THE VEHICLE 2 YEARS AND THEN REPLACED THE WIPER BLADES AT NAPA. THEN THEY STARTED STOPPING MIDWAY ON THE GLASS OR SLOWING AND STOPPING. I REPLACED THE BLADES WITH GENUINE FORD BLADES AT THE DEALER'S QUICK LANE, BUT THE PROBLEM CONTINUED. THE SERVICE DEPT. COULDN'T FIND ANY PROBLEM ON TWO VISITS, AND SAID IT HAS AN ADVANCED SENSOR SYSTEM AND "IT'S SUPPOSED TO DO THAT." I AM AFRAID THE WIPERS WILL GIVE OUT IN A STORM. THE SERVICE ADVISOR SNAPPED AT ME "IF YOU KEEP COMING BACK, WE MAY HAVE TO CHARGE YOU," EVEN THOUGH I HAVE TIME LEFT ON THE FULL WARRANTY. THIS IS A HAZARD, AND THEY SHOULD WARN PEOPLE THAT THE SYSTEM USES SO-CALLED SMART TECHNOLOGY, AND TO BE CAREFUL WHEN CHANGING THE BLADES.
WHEN YOU START TO DRIVE FROM A COMPLETE STOP, THE TRANSMISSION HESITATES A LITTLE BEFOR IT GETS GOING.
I HAVE BROUGHT THIS VEHICLE,OR ATTEMPTED TO BRING IT,INTO THE DEALERSHIP SERVICE DEPARTMENT MULTIPLE TIMES FOR THE SHUDDERING,STALLING,OVERHEAT FOR NO REASON WITH SYSTEM SHUT OFF,ETC . AT TAKE-OFF FROM DRIVEWAY,HIGHWAY METERING LIGHTS,LIGHTED SIGNALS,& STOP SIGNS THE CAR(AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION)WILL EITHER SHUDDER AND BOUNCE LIKE A MANUAL TRANSMISSION NOT PROPERLY SHIFTED OR INITIALLY ROLL SLIGHTLY AND THEN STALL AS IF IN NEUTRAL.THE RPMS WILL REV, BUT THE CAR WILL NOT MOVE.I HAVE NARROWLY MISSED MANY REAR-END ACCIDENTS.I HAVE PAID WELL OVER A THOUSAND DOLLARS JUST ON RENTAL CAR FEES WHILE NOT ABLE TO DRIVE THIS CAR.THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT REFUSED TO GIVE ME AN APPOINTMENT OR TAKE IT IN FOR MANY MONTHS BECAUSE ACCORDING TO THEM THEY DID NOT HAVE THE REQUIRED PARTS. ON OTHER ATTEMPTS THEY WOULD TELL ME THEY DID NOT HAVE THE CODE POP UP THAT ANYTHING WAS WRONG. AUGUST 2017, AFTER THE DEALERSHIP HAD MY CAR FOR MULTIPLE DAYS WHEN PROMISED BACK SAME OR NEXT DAY,THEY TOLD ME THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG & I SHOWED THEM A PICTURE I TOOK OF THE CONTROL PANEL,THEN THEY FINALLY TOOK IT BACK TO WORK ON. I ALSO HAD THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ON & SHUDDERING IMMEDIATELY WHEN PICKING IT UP FROM SERVICE.I WAS TOLD THERE WAS NOTHING MORE THEY COULD DO AND THEY REFUSED TO PUT WHY I BROUGHT IT IN FOR IN THE WORK ORDERS EACH TIME I BROUGHT IT IN.NOV 7-DEC 5 2017,THEY HAD THE CAR FOR AN ENTIRE MONTH.SERVICE TOLD THE FORD FACILITATOR & ME THAT THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG WITH THE CAR NO SHUDDERING, NO SOUNDS. AFTER ALMOST AN ENTIRE MONTH THEY SUDDENLY DECIDED THE CAR NEEDED A FULL BRAKE JOB WHICH DID NOTHING FOR THE SHUDDERING/STALLING.THEY ALSO LET THE BATTERY DIE.FORD MOTOR COMPANY REFUSED BUYBACKS BECAUSE THE WORK ORDERS DID NOT SAY WHY IT WAS BROUGHT IN. I TOLD THEM I WOULD HAVE AN ACCIDENT. I WAS TRYING TO LEAVE MY DRIVEWAY. THE CAR STALLED AND THE FRONT OF MY CAR WAS SLAMMED INTO BY AN SUV.

CAR WAS PULLING OUT OF A PARKING LOT WHEN THERE WAS SUDDEN MAXIMAL ACCELERATION RESULTING IN A CRASH WITH PERSONAL INJURY AND PROPERTY DAMAGE.
I BOUGHT A NEW 2015 FORD FOCUS. FOR THE LAST 24 MONTHS THE VEHICLE HAS DRIVEN VERY POORLY ON MANY OCCASIONS. I HAVE HAD THE FORD DEALER KEEP THE VEHICLE DAYS AT A TIME TO FIX IT. THE VEHICLE ACTUALLY DRIVES WORSE THEN EVER, TO THE POINT THAT AT TIMES IT IS DANGEROUS. I AM 68 YEARS OLD AND CANT JUST BUY A NEW CAR ON SS. I AM ATTACHING A CHAT LOG WITH FORD TODAY. THIS HAS GONE ON FOR APPROXMITLY 24 MONTHS. THANK YOU.
SOME MONTHS AGO, WHILE HAVING REPAIRS TO MY TRANSMISSION, THE SERVICE MANAGER STATED THERE WAS A RECALL ON THE DOOR LOCK (HANDLE), BUT THEY DID NOT HAVE THE REPLACEMENT PART. HE STATED I WOULD BE CONTACTED. I WAS AGAIN AT FORD HAVING REPAIRS AND ASKED ABOUT THE RECALL, STILL NO PARTS. I HAVE CONTACTED THEY SEVERAL MORE TIMES. I HAVE MAJOR TRANSMISSION PROBLEMS TOO, THEY HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO FIX IT. I WILL START ANOTHER COMPLAINT FOR THAT PROBLEM. I WILL ATTACH A FILE OF A CHAT LOG WITH FORD THIS MORNING. SINCE PURCHASING MY 2015 FORD FOCUS BRAND NEW IN JULY 2015, I WAS STONEWALLED BY TWO DEALERSHIPS OVER THE CLUTCH SHUDDERING/JERKING/JUMPING ISSUE BEFORE A THIRD DEALERSHIP (IN ANOTHER STATE!) FINALLY REPLACED IT. SHORTLY AFTER I HAD A FRONT COVER OIL LEAK THAT WAS REPAIRED UNDER WARRANTY. THEN, ONE DAY I WAS DRIVING AND THE LIGHTS ON THE VISOR AND RADIO CONTROLS STOPPED WORKING, THEY FIXED MOST OF IT BUT THE PASSENGER VISOR LIGHT STILL DOESN'T WORK. SHORTLY AFTER THAT I STARTED HEARING A POPPING SOUND IN THE RADIO, THEN THE RADIO STOPPED WORKING COMPLETELY. TODAY AS I WAS DRIVING ON THE FREEWAY ON MY WAY TO WORK THE TRANSMISSION BLEW WITH NO PRIOR WARNING. I HEARD A LOUD NOISE, THEN THE ENGINE REVVED AND THE CAR SLOWED DOWN. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT STARTED FLASHING AND I WAS ABLE TO MOVE TO THE SHOULDER OF THE HIGHWAY. A PUDDLE OF TRANSMISSION FLUID WAS UNDER THE CAR AFTER IT WAS TOWED AWAY.
The contact owns a 2015 Ford Focus. Four years ago, the contact stated that while driving at 40 MPH, excessive force was needed to steer his vehicle without warning. The vehicle was taken to a dealer and the rack and pinion were replaced. Recently, the contact stated that while driving at various speeds, an abnormal creaking noise would emit from the power steering without warning. The vehicle was towed to Woody Sander Ford (235 W Mitchell Ave, Cincinnati, OH 45232) and he was informed that the rack and pinion needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed him that there were no recalls on the vehicle; the contact was then referred to the NHTSA for assistance. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 38,000.
MY 2015 FOCUS SE HAD TRANSMISSION SHUTTERING FROM THE FIRST DAY I BOUGHT IT. I WAS TOLD BY THE DEALER (PADUCAH FORD) THAT IT WAS NORMAL WITH THE TRANSMISSION IN THE CAR. AFTER WRITING FORD ABOUT THE TREATMENT THAT I RECEIVED FROM THIS DEALER I GOT A CALL FROM THE DEALER THAT THEY WOULD NOT SERVICE MY NEW CAR SINCE I FILED A COMPLAINT WITH FORD. FORD CUSTOMER SERVICE THEN TOLD ME TO START HAVING MY SERVICE DONE AT PENNYRILE FORD. RIGHT BEFORE 30,000 MILES I TOOK IT TO THE DEALER BECAUSE THE SHUTTERING HAD GOTTEN WORSE. THE TRANSMISSION WAS REBUILT AFTER WAITING A WEEK FOR PARTS. NOW AT 33,800 THE TRANSMISSION IS SHUTTERING AGAIN AND I WAS TOLD OVER THE PHONE TODAY THAT IT WILL PROBABILITY NEED TO BE REBUILT AGAIN. THE TRANSMISSIONS IN THESE CARS ARE UNSAFE AS I HAVE HAD MINE NOT SHIFT INTO GEAR AS IS WAS MERGING ONTO THE HIGHWAY ALMOST CAUSING A ACCIDENT. I HAVE ALSO HAD THE TRANSMISSION GO OUT OF GEAR AND THE ENGINE ACCELERATE.
"MAJOR TRANSMISSION ISSUES"! WARNING & BUYER BEWARE: THIS VEHICLE IS NOT SAFE TO DRIVE AND HAS AN OPEN CLAIM UNDER THE STATES LEMON LAW POLICY. ON 7/22/17 AFTER MULTIPLE REPAIRS AS STATED IN THIS COMPLAINT, THE VEHICLE PROPELLED FORWARD BEHIND TRAFFIC ON A MAJOR ROADWAY AT A RAILROAD STOP TOWARDS THE GATES WITH AN ONCOMING TRAIN. REPORTED THE INCIDENT TO FORD AND FORD WILL NOT COVER THE REPAIRS. THE TRANSMISSION NEEDS TO BE REPLACED ON THIS VEHICLE AND HAS HAD MULTIPLE CLUTCH REPLACEMENTS AT FORD. THERE HAVE BEEN APPROXIMATELY 18 SERVICE VISITS AT THE DEALERSHIP SINCE THE DELIVERY DATE OF 12/15/15. ONBOARD SYNC SYSTEM- DOES NOT WORK PROPERLY AFTER MULTIPLE REPAIRS. FORD SERVICE MANAGER HAS WARNED THAT THE TRANSMISSION ISSUES ARE NOT REPAIRABLE AND THE ISSUES WILL CONTINUE TO OCCUR DESPITE CLUTCH AND TRANSMISSION REPAIRS.
WHEN STARTING FROM A STOP OR ACCELERATING THE TRANSMISSION SLIPS AND SUDDENLY GAINS TRACTION. NOTICEABLE SLIPPING AND MISSED SHIFTS ARE ALWAYS OCCURING.
I HAVE ALREADY HAD THE CLUTCH REPLACED 2 TIMES AND IT IS STILL SHUTTERING AND SLIPPING AND NO ONE WILL DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT. I HAD GOTTEN A LETTER STATING MY CAR WAS ON A RECALL BUT NOW IT'S NOT . I AM A SINGLE MOM WITH A SON, I NEED TO KNOW THAT MY CAR IS SAFE . NOT SURE WHAT TO DO PLEASE HELP.
ON JULY 13,2017,I WAS IN STOP AND GO TRAFFIC,I BARELY ACCELERATED AND MY CAR JERKED FORWARD INTO A LARGE 4X4 TRUCK. WHEN I FINANCED MY CAR IN FEBRUARY OF 2017,MY CAR WAS JERKING WHENEVER I ACCELERATED. I ASKED THE SALES MAN ON MY FIRST TEST DRIVE,AND HE TOLD ME IT WAS NOTHING TO WORRY ABOUT CUZ IT HAD SOMETHING TO DO WITH GAS ECONOMY, BUT HE RAMBLED IT OFF SO FAST, I DIDN'T UNDERSTAND WHAT HE SAID IT WAS. TRANSMISSION LOSES POWER RANDOMLY. ALSO, SHIFTING IS JUMPY, WHEN GOING FROM STOP, AT TIMES. HAVE CONTACTED DEALER AND WAS TOLD THIS WAS COMMON OF THIS PARTICULAR TRANSMISSION. THIS HAS HAPPENED MORE THAN ONCE. I AM JUST USING TODAY'S DATE AS ONE OF MANY! STARTED ON THE FIRST DAY I HAD THE CAR.
VEHICLE HESITATED/LOST POWER UPON ENTERING 55MPH HIGHWAY. TOOK TO DEALER, WAITING ON CLUTCH. SALES PERSON HAD TOLD ME THIS VEHICLE HAD REDESIGNED TRANSMISSION. AT FIRST IT PERFORMED MUCH SMOOTHER THAN MY 2012 FORD FIESTA. NOT NOW. SERVICE DEPT. CLAIMS NEW CLUTCH IS MUCH BETTER. THERE IS A CLASS ACTION SUIT AGAINST FORD NOW FOR "POWER SHIFT" TRANSMISSION.
EXTREME SHAKING WHILE STOPPING AND STARTING TO ACCELERATE, WILL SOMETIMES SUDDENLY START TO MOVE FORWARD AT A STOP WITH BRAKE LIGHTLY APPLIED, THIS IS A KNOWN PROBLEM AND HAS HAD CLUTCHES IN DPS6 TRANSMISSION REPLACED TWICE, WHILE AT OTHER TIMES DEALER INFORMED REPAIRS WERE NOT IN THE PARAMETERS OF REPAIR
THE TRANSMISSION IS NOT SHIFTING GEARS PROPERLY. WE TOOK IT TO THE MECHANIC AND HE SAID THAT IT IS A COMPUTER PROBLEM. THE ONLY THING THAT CAN SOLVE THE PROBLEM IS A MASTER RESET. THE MECHANIC SAID THAT THAT IT IS NOT SOMETHING THAT CAN BE FIXED AND THE VEHICLE SHOULD BE RECALLED.
WHEN ACCELERATING OR DRIVING UP A HILL, THE VEHICLE STALLS. THE CLUTCH WAS REPLACED ONCE AND THE ISSUE WAS TEMPORARILY FIXED, BUT HAS STARTED AGAIN. ALSO HAS ISSUES WHERE THE RADIO WILL MAKE A POPPING NOISE AND STOPS WORKING.

POWERSHIFT DUAL CLUTCH AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION.. I PURCHASED MY 2015 FOCUS A YEAR AGO WITH 17K MILES ON IT. AT 21K MILES I HAD TO REPLACE THE POWER SHIFT DUAL CLUTCH, AND I AM NOW AT 33K MILES AND I AM ON MY SECOND CLUTCH REPLACEMENT DUE TO SLIPPING, BUCKING, KICKING, AND JERKING FROM THE TRANSMISSION. FORD IS REFUSING TO LIST THIS AS A RECALL; . MY CAR IS ACTUALLY GETTING THE NEW CLUTCH INSTALLED THIS WEEK. I JUST RECEIVED IN THE MAIL A CLASS ACTION SETTLEMENT IS BEING PURSUED AGAINST FORD FOR THIS ON GOING ISSUE WITH THESE FOCUS'S. I JUST WANT TO MAKE OTHER MOTORIST AWARE IF THEY ARE FEELING THESE SAME THINGS FROM THEIR FOCUS OR FIESTA YEARS 2011-2016 PLEASE SEE ABOUT GETTING IT CHECKED OUT. IT'S NOT NORMAL FOR THESE CARS TO BE DOING THIS.
TRANSMISSION SLIPS/SHUTTERS/JERKS. THE AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION HAS HAD PROBLEMS SINCE NEW. THEY HAVE REPAIRED IT SEVERAL TIMES AND THE PROBLEM JUST COMES BACK. IT CAUSES HESITATION WHEN ACCELERATING FROM A STOP AND IS DANGEROUS TO DRIVE WHEN IT HAPPENS. FORD WILL NOT REPAIR IT UNTIL THE SLIPPAGE IS OUTSIDE THEIR THRESHOLD, BUT BY THAT TIME IT IS A HAZARD. THESE CARS NEED TO BE REPLACED.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A LOCAL DEALER (NALLEY FORD SANDY SPRINGS 7555 ROSWELL ROAD, ATLANTA, GA 30350), BUT THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE COULD NOT BE DETERMINED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED, BUT DID NOT OFFER ANY ASSISTANCE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 51,000.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 FORD FOCUS. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING AT APPROXIMATELY 55 MPH THE VEHICLE SHUDDERED WITH NO WARNING LIGHTS ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FAILURE WAS DIAGNOSED AS A TRANSMISSION FAILURE AS THE CLUTCH HAD BEEN REPLACED TWICE. THE VEHICLE WAS DIAGNOSED AND REPAIRED AT BILL MACDONALD FORD (200 S CARNEY DR, ST CLAIR, MI 48079). THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FAILURE HAS RECURRED FOR A THIRD TIME. A DIAGNOSTIC WAS SCHEDULED WHICH WAS STILL PENDING. THE CONTACT RECEIVED AN EXTENDED WARRANTY NOTICE FROM THE MANUFACTURER IN SEPTEMBER OF 2019 FOR INTERMITTENT TRANSMISSION SHUDDER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE WAS 16,320.
RECALL NHTSA # 15V436 (FORD RECALL #15C06) IS ON THE C-MAX BODY CONTROL MODULE. THIS HAS CAUSED THE ENTIRE CAR TO NOT START. IT WAS BROUGHT IN FOR SERVICE 7/3/17 AND I HAVE NO UPDATES. THE RECALL WAS ISSUED 7/1/15 AND THE CAR, ITSELF, WAS PURCHASED THE NEXT 8/2015 SO IT WAS SOLD WITH A KNOWN RECALL AND NOW, 2 YEARS LATER, IT'S VERY CONCERNING THAT A FIX IS STILL NOT READILY AVAILABLE WHEN BROUGHT IT FOR SERVICE.
A/C NOT HEATING PROPERLY, DEALER SAYS CAN'T FIND PROBLEM, I EXPECT AS MUCH FOR WARRANTY WORK. SOUNDS LIKE STRANGE NOISES UNDER DASH.

WHEN ACCELERATING FROM A COMPLETE OR ALMOST COMPLETE STOP THE CAR JERKS/ HESITATES FROM FIRST GEAR TO SECOND GEAR.
THERE HAS BEEN A RECALL ON CLUTCH FOR TRANSMISSION. THE CAR BUCKS WHEN YOU MAKE LEFT TURNS OR WHEN IT IS HOT OUTSIDE. I DO NOT TRY TO GET ON FREEWAY UNLESS THERE IS NO ONE COMING BECAUSE CAR WILL START TO BUCK AND I AM AFRAID IT WILL STALL OUT AND CAUSE AN ACCIDENT. I BROUGHT THE VEHICLE TO FORD AND THE DEALER SAID THAT THEY WILL NOT REPAIR IT UNTIL AUGUST 2018. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE THEY TAKE MY PAYMENT EACH MONTH BUT I FEEL THAT I BOUGHT A VEHICLE THAT IS A LEMON. I FEEL THAT THEY SHOULD BE MADE TO REPAIR THE VEHICLE OR TAKE IT BACK. I CAN NOT TRADE VEHICLE IN FOR A DIFFERENT BRAND OF VEHICLE BECAUSE OF RECALL SO I AM STUCK WITH VEHICLE

I HAVE CONTACTED YOU ON THIS MATTER BEFORE AND I HAVE JUST TALKED TO FORD REGARDING THE SEATBELT ISSUE AND WAS TOLD THAT THEY CANT MAKE AN INDEPENDENT DEALER STAND BY A WARRANTY I BELIEVE SEATBELTS ARE A SAFETY ISSUE MY SEATBELT DOESN'T RETRACT IT HAS LOCKED ON ME AFTER I HAVE GOTTEN IT BACK AND I COULDN'T PUT IT ON FOR ALMOST A BLOCK WHEN IT FINALLY RELEASED SO I COULD PUT IT ON , IT ALSO DOESN'T LOCK WHEN I JERK IT FORWARD WHILE DRIVING. MY WORRY IS IF WE WERE TO GET IN AN ACCIDENT AND MY SEATBELT DOESN'T LOCK I WOULD STILL HIT THE WINDSHIELD TO ME THAT IS A SAFETY CONCERN AND FORD SHOULD STAND BY THEIR LIFETIME SAFETY WARRANTY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO HERRING FORD (LOCATED AT 820 MEMORIAL BLVD, PICAYUNE, MS 39466, (601) 798-8682) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE POWER TRAIN CONTROL MODULE AND CLUTCH ACTUATOR NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 153,000.
PASSENGER SIDE FRONT BALL JOINT SNAPPED, CAUSING LOWER CONTROL ARM BOLT TO SNAP-SEPARATED AND DAMAGED AXLE. CAR SKIDDED APPROXIMATELY 70 FT BEFORE STOPPING. VEHICLE WAS MOVING FORWARD ON A CITY STREET.
