HAVE CONTACTED SEVERAL PEOPLE WITH NO SOLUTION. SHUDDERING PROBLEM WHEN ACCELERATING FROM A STOP.
2017 FORD FOCUS SHUDDERS WHEN SHIFTING FROM 1ST TO 2ND GEAR WHEN HOT. WHEN COLD, NO ISSUES. AFTER A LONG ROAD TRIP ON THE HIGHWAY, WE STOPPED FOR A QUICK BREAK AND STARTED THE CAR UP AGAIN. THIS TIME, I NOTICED A VERY HARSH SHUDDER AND SHAKE AS I ACCELERATED FROM A STOP. NO INDICATORS ON THE DASH, NORMAL PRESSURE AND TEMP LEVELS, OIL LEVEL PERFECT.
MY 2017 FORD FOCUS FOR A WHILE NOW HAS HAD MANY TRANSMISSION PROBLEMS INCLUDING STUTTERING, SHUDDERING, AND EVEN ROLLING BACKWARDS WHILE ON A HILL IN DRIVE. I HAVE HAD MY FORD FOCUS FOR ALMOST 2 YEARS NOW AND HAVE UPDATED IT ON ALL OF ITS RECALLS. BUT, NOT TO LONG AFTER I GOT IT, THE TRANSMISSION STARTED SHOWING PROBLEMS AS THE ONES I LISTED EARLIER. IT BEGAN FIRST WITH THE STUTTERING AND THEN PHYSICALLY BECAME NOTICEABLE WHEN I ROLLED BACK ON A HILL. I KNOW THERE HAVE BEEN RECALLS AND A LAWSUITS AGAINST FORD FOR THE PREVIOUS MODELS, PRIMARILY BETWEEN 2012-2016. BUT, I THINK THE 2017 HAS THE SAME ISSUES BUT NO RECALLS ON IT YET. I'M HOPING THAT BY FILING A REPORT, SOMETHING WILL COME OFF IT BECAUSE IT IS A SUBSTANTIAL PROBLEM. DEALERSHIPS ARE REAPING EVEN MORE BECAUSE AS SOON AS I HAD MY PROBLEMS, I IMMEDIATELY WENT BACK TO MY DEALERSHIP TO TELL TO THEM AND THEY TOLD ME THAT IT WAS A MATTER OF GETTING USED TO. SOMETHING ABOUT THE CAR ADJUSTING TO MY FOOT PRESSURE BUT IT'S ONLY BEEN GETTING WORSE. AFTER MUCH USAGE IS WHEN IT'S VERY NOTICEABLE BUT THERE IS SOMETHING DEFINITELY WRONG. I'VE BEEN IN INSTANCES WHERE I'M TRYING TO TURN ON CITY STREETS BUT BECAUSE THE CAR STUTTERS, IT MAKES ME SLOW DOWN OR PAUSE; HENCE, PLACING ME IN POSITIONS OF ACCIDENTS OR SOMETHING WORSE. I JUST HOPE SOMETHING CAN BE DONE.
2017 FORD FOCUS S, SHUDDERS/SHAKES WHEN ACCELERATING FROM A FULL STOP. THE CAR ACTS AS IF THE TRANSMISSION IS SLIPPING. THE CAR IS PARKED AND I REFUSE TO MOVE IT UNTIL THIS ISSUE IS ADDRESSED. FORD NEEDS TO FIX THIS ISSUE OR ISSUE EVERYONE WHO OWNS THIS VEHICLE A FULL REFUND OR A DIFFERENT MODEL! THIS IS NOT SAFE AND CAN CAUSE SERIOUS INJURIES TO ANYONE DRIVING IT, ESPECIALLY ON A HIGHWAY OR BELTWAY AT A GREAT AMOUNT OF SPEED AND THE CAR REFUSES TO ACCELERATE WITHOUT SHUDDERING OR SHAKING.
ON FEB 1ST 2021 THE POWER STEERING FAIL WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD ON CITY STREET. A COLLUSION WAS AVOID THANKS TO OTHER DRIVERS SWERVING OUT OF THE WAY. A ERROR MESSAGE APPEAR ON THE DASH REPORTING POWER STEERING FAULT. WE PARK THE CAR IN A PARKING LOT FOR SEVERAL HOURS UNTIL TRAFFIC WAS CLEARED UP IN THE HOPES WE COULD GET THE CAR HOME. WHEN WE WENT BACK THE ISSUE WAS RESOVLED AND WE DROVE TO THE DEALER TO DIAGNOSE. THE DEALER WAS ABLE REPRODUCE THE ISSUE AND REPLACED THE ENTIRE STEERING RACK.
WHEN ACCELERATING "NORMALLY" THE TRANSMISSION WILL SLIP BETWEEN 1ST AND SECOND GEARS. WHEN ACCELERATING FROM A ROLLING START LIKE ON A FREEWAY, THE TRANSMISSION WILL REV AND THEN SHIFT AND/OR SLIP CAUSING TEMPORARY LOSS OF POWER
TWO THINGS HAPPENS AFTER I WOULD PUSH ON THE BREAK THE CAR WOULD ACCELERATE UNTIL I PUSHED ON THE BREAK AGAIN AND IT SHUTTERS AND ACT AS IF IT WILL STALL OUT WHEN I FIRST START TO DRIVE WHEN I FIRST ACCELERATE FROM ANY STOPPED SITUATION
I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE JANUARY 9TH 2021. I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE AS THE HEAD GASKET RECALL HAD BEEN DONE ALREADY. I COULDN'T HAVE THE CAR CHECKED OUT AS I WAS 3 HOURS EACH WAY FROM HOME AND HAD TO MEET THE DEALER AT 9 PM. I DROVE THE CAR AND ALL SEEMED GOOD. ON THE 3 HR DRIVE HOME I NOTICED OIL PRESSURE WAY GOING BACK AND FORTH AND THE CAR DIDN'T SEEM TO HAVE THE POWER IT DID 1 HR BEFORE, I THOUGHT IT WAS JUST IN MY HEAD. SO MONDAY I PUT THE CAR ON THE LIFT AT WORK AND SEEN THEIR WAS OIL COMING FROM THE HEADGASKET AREA AGAIN. I HAVE THE ORIGINAL PAPERWORK FROM WHEN IT WAS DONE AT A DEALER BUT IT ALSO IS KNOWN THAT THE EARLY RECALLS THAT WERE DONE DID NOT USE THE CORRECT GASKET EVEN FOR THE RECALL. I AM ASKING FOR THIS TO GET FIXED AS I DIDN'T PAY 30,000 FOR A CAR THAT I CANT DRIVE AND HAVE TO PAY 11,000 TO FIX THE MOTOR. THE CAR HAD 51522 MILES WHEN I BOUT IT. IT IS 200 MILES FOR THE DRIVE HOME. AND IT HAS 51833 ON IT RIGHT NOW AND I DRIVE IT DAILY.
MY FORD FOCUS HATCHBACK IS A AUTOMATIC AND CAN SHIFT INTO SUPER AUTO/MANUAL ARE AVAILABLE. MY VEHICLE STAGGERS, SHUTTERS, AND SHAKES ONCE IN DRIVE MODE. MY VEHICLE ALSO ROLLS BACKWARDS WHEN ON A INCLINE IF I DO NOT PRESS THE BREAK PEDAL, AND IF I DO NOT ACCELERATE AT ALL OR TOUCH THE BREAKS IT WILL LOSE MOMENTUM AND BEGIN TO ROLL BACKWARDS IF THE FRONT OF THE VEHICAL IS INCLINED. THIS ISSUE IS NOT SOLELY THE MANUAL MODELS MY 2017 FORD FOCUS FWD AUTOMATIC SHUTTERS WHILE ACCELERATING FROM A COMPLETE STOP. I CHECKED TRANSMISSION FLUID ALL LEVELS WERE GOOD THERE. MY ELECTRONIC 'ANTICIPATION' SCORE IN MY CARS ECO FAQS DASHBOARD IS 5/5. 5/5 IS THE BEST YOUR SCORE CAN BE. THIS IS A SERIOUS ISSUE FOR NOT JUST 2014-2016 BUT 2017 AUTOMATICS AND MANUALS BOTH! IF YOU CAN'T ACCELERATE YOUR VEHICLE WITHOUT TRANSMISSION STAGGERING, SHUTTERING, SHAKING AND RELATED ISSUES WITH DRIVING NEW TO PREOWNED 60K-100K AND UNDER VEHICLES THIS IS VERY CONCERNING. MY VEHICLE IS UNDER 52K MILES I GOT IT AROUND 49K. IT WAS BRAND NEW ONE OWNER BEFORE ME AND THE CAR FACS REPORT WAS DETAILED ON ITS SERVICE HISTORY AND VERY WELL MAINTAINED. IF MY VEHIC IS AUTOMATIC WITH ECO AND TECHNOLOGY AS WELL AS UP TO DATE SYNC UPDATES THENT ELECTRONICALLY MY VEHICLE IS COMPUTING INCORRECTLY AND THIS FLEX FUEL IS CAUSING SOME COMPUTER ISSUE WITH MY TRANSMISSION. IF MY UP TO DATE VEHICLE TECHNOLOGY IS CAUSING ISSUES THEN I CAN'T TRUST MY VEHICLE TO KNOW HOW TO KEEP ME SAFE. IF I NEED TO ACCELERATE BUT HAVE TO PRESS THE BREAKS OR LET OFF THE GAS UNTIL THE SHUTTERING/STAGGERING/SHAKING COMPLETELY GOES AWAY THEN HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO ACCELERATE TO AVOID SOMETHING, TO MERGE AND GET UP TO ONCOMING TRAFFIC SPEED? MY ANTICIPATION IS 5 OUT OF 5 FOR MY ACCELERATION RATINGS TO BE THE BEST POSSIBLE. MY VEHICLE IS UNSAFE FOR AVOIDING SAFETY HAZARDS AND DRIVING FROM A COMPLETE STOP INTO 1ST, AND 2ND GEAR. THE STEERING IS GREAT.
The contact owns a 2017 Ford Focus. The contact stated that while stopped at the bank drive-thru line, the vehicle stalled. After several attempts, the vehicle restarted. The failure was progressively worsening. The vehicle was taken to a dealer, and the fuel pump, AX Sender, and pump assembly, AA gasket, B sensor, and fuel injector pressure parts were replaced. The contact stated that on another occasion, while driving in heavy traffic at 35 MPH, the vehicle stalled with several warning lights illuminated. The contact stated that several months ago, on a separate occasion, while driving at various speeds, the vehicle failed to accelerate as intended while depressing the accelerator pedal, and the vehicle stalled. The contact was able to coast to the side of the road. The vehicle failed to restart, and the contact waited for approximately an hour before the vehicle restarted. The vehicle was taken to several dealers to be repaired. While an employee from one of the dealers was test-driving the vehicle, the vehicle stalled. The vehicle was diagnosed, and it was determined that there were fuel vapors in the line, and that the high side sensor pressure dropped, and low side sensor pressure dropped. The vehicle was repaired. Most recently, the contact stated that the transmission had failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and advised the contact to file a claim. The failure mileage was approximately 30,000.
The catalytic converter which is essential for the vehicle to pass smog going to be registered has failed at less than 100,000 miles for a component that should last potentially the life of the vehicle this is unacceptable tell us the approximate

The fuel gauge was faulty, and the check engine warning light was illuminated. The dealer was made aware of the failure but informed the contact that the VIN was not included in a recall. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the stuck canister purge valve had deformed fuel tank. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure but informed the contact that the VIN was not under recall. The contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 18V735000 (Fuel System, Gasoline). The failure mileage was approximately 49,500.

WHILE DRIVING MY 2017 FORD FOCUS SE, I RECEIVED A MESSAGE ON THE DISPLAY INDICATING STEERING FAILURE. THE MOMENT THE MESSAGE DISPLAYED, I LOST STEERING IMMEDIATELY AND THE CAR PULLED DRAMATICALLY TOWARDS THE RIGHT EDGE OF THE ROAD. UP TILL THIS POINT, THERE WAS NO INDICATION OF A STEERING ISSUE. THANKFULLY, I WAS DRIVING EARLIER IN THE MORNING ON A RURAL ROADWAY WITH A VERY LITTLE TRAFFIC AND ON A STRAIGHT SECTION OF THE ROAD. IT SEEMS AS THOUGH THE SYSTEM AFFECTED IS THE EPAS. AFTER CONTACTING MY LOCAL DEALERSHIP FOR REPAIR IT WAS MENTIONED THAT THEY HAD JUST REPLACED THE SAME SYSTEM IN A SIMILAR VEHICLE. I ALSO SPOKE WITH MY LOCAL GARAGE WHO CONTACTED A DIFFERENT DEALER THAT ALSO INDICATED THEY HAVE REPLACED THIS PART ON NUMEROUS VEHICLES (NO SPECIFIC NUMBER WAS GIVEN).
WENT TO JUMPSTART DAUGHTER'S CAR, JUMP STARTED CAR AND IT WOULD NOT GO IN REVERSE. HAD IT TOWED TO A LOCAL FORD DEALERSHIP AND WAS TOLD I NEEDED A NEW TRANSMISSION. THERE WERE NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHTS OR TRANSMISSION PROBLEMS BEFORE CAR WAS JUMP STARTED. SCANN ED CAR AND FOUND TRANSMISSION CODE P2837. DEALERSHIP SAYS THE TRANSMISSION IS NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY. THE CAR ONLY HAS 69,000 MI ON IT AND IT'S 3 YEARS OLD. GETTING A HOLD OF A LEMON LAWYER IN REGARDS TO GETTING SOME COMPENSATION FOR THESE FAULTY TRANSMISSION.
POWER STEERING ASSIST, IN-OP. VEHICLE HAS 60K MILES. SERIOUS INJURIES MAY OCCUR, IF VEHICLE WAS TO LOOSE ASSIST WHILE DRIVING. LUCKILY ASSIST GAVE UP IN THE PARKING LOT. THIS IS A DESIGN FLAW, THEIR ARE THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE WITH THE SAME PROBLEM. NHTSA SHOULD FORCE FORD TO REMEDY THIS ISSUES.
I'VE FILLED OUT A COMPLAINT BUT NEEDED TO UPDATE IT. NOT SURE HOW TO DO IT SO I JUST FILLED OUT ANOTHER. I WAS TOLD THAT I HAVE A BAD TRANSMISSION BECAUSE I'VE BEEN DEALING WITH STUTTERING FROM MY CAR FOR A WHILE. I JUST GOT A LETTER IN THE MAIL THAT IN 2019 THEY REALIZED THEY INSTALLED IMPROPER THINGS INTO THE CAR OR SOMETHING. THIS IS RIDICULOUS HONESTLY. I PUT SO MUCH MONEY INTO THIS CAR BRO AND NOW WHAT. I HAVE TO GET RID OF IT?

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO CHAPMAN FORD, 1255 COLUMBUS AVE, MARYSVILLE, OH 43040, AND WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE CLUTCH NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE DEALER CALLED FORD MANUFACTURER AND WAS INFORMED THAT THE RANGE WAS NOT WITHIN THE PARAMETER FOR THE REPAIR. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED AND REMAINED AT THE DEALER. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 60,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
MY TRANSMISSION IS GARBAGE. MY CAR SHAKES WHEN I ACCELERATE ESPECIALLY FROM A STOP. I TOOK IT TO A SHOP AND THEY CONFIRMED IT WAS THE TRANSMISSION AND THST IT WAS MADE WITH THE BAD TRANSMISSION. THEY SAID ME GETTING A NEW ONE IS POINTLESS BECAUSE THERE ISN'T A GOOD ONE MADE FOR THE 2017 FORD FOCUS BECAUSE FORD MADE IT THAT WAY KNOWING IT WAS BAD. ALSO I DON'T KNOW IF MY ADAS SYSTEM IS JUST NON EXISTENT OR WHAT BECAUSE I'VE NEVER HEARD IT EVER GO OFF BEFORE.
THE CAR IS HAVING TROUBLE SWITCHING GEARS. THE CAR ACTS AS IF IT DID NOT WANT TO ACCELERATE. THEN COMING TO A STOP THE CAR SEEMS TO WANT TO STILL GO AND STOPS VERY HARD WHEN IT WANTS TO. THIS IS THE SECOND TIME IT AS DONE THIS WITHIN MONTHS. I HAVE READ COMPLAINTS AND THERE ARE MANY MORE SAYING THE SAME THING.
I BOUGHT MY 2017 FORD FOCUS SE WITH 8 MILES ON IT WHEN IT GOT ABOUT 5,000 MILES ON IT MY TRANSMISSION BEGAN TO SHUTTER. BROUGHT IT TO 3 DIFFERENT FORD DEALERSHIPS TO BE TOLD NOTHING WRONG WITH IT. ABOUT 20,000 MILES I NOTICE THE SHUTTER BECOMING WORST AND WORST TO BE TOLD ONCE AGAIN NOTHING WRONG WITH IT. NOW MY CAR IS AT 50,000 AND ANYTIME IT'S UNDER THE HALF WAY MARK WITH GAS THE SHUTTER BECOME MORE INTENSE. STILL FORD WANTS TO TELL ME THERE IS NO PROBLEMS
I FINANCED MY 2017 FORD FOCUS SE IN OCTOBER 2018. IT HAD 43,600 APPROX MI ON THE VEHICLE. AFTER DRIVING THE VEHICLE FOR A COUPLE MONTHS JUST TO WORK AND HOME (6 MI ONE WAY) MON - FRI AND WEEKEND ERRANDS IN TOWN, I NOTICED THE CAR STARTED HAVING A SHAKE WHEN I WOULD DRIVE AFTER COMING TO A COMPLETE STOP. MY DAD CAME AND GOT THE CAR TO HAVE A RECALL FOR THE FUEL FIXED AND THE DEALERSHIP REPLACED THE CLUTCH IN THE TRANSMISSION. HE ADVISED THIS WOULD HAPPEN AGAIN BECAUSE THERE IS NO PERMANENT FIX FOR THIS ISSUE. I HAVE HAD THE VEHICLE IN THE SHOP 2 MORE TIMES SINCE AND I HAVE 68,500 MI ON THE VEHICLE NOW. THE SHAKING IS WORSE THAN EVER AND I AM AFRAID TO DRIVE MY VEHICLE. I NEED FORD TO FIX THIS ISSUE PERMANENTLY. FORD HAS NOW TOLD ME THERE IS NO WARRANTY FOR THE VEHICLE BECAUSE I WENT 30 MI OVER AT THE TIME. I DO NOT KNOW WHAT TO DO. I FEEL THE DEALERSHIP FAILED TO DISCLOSE INFORMATION AND IS REFUSING TO ADMIT FORD HAS MADE A MISTAKE. WHAT IS MY RECOURSE? THIS SHOULD HAVE BEEN REPAIRED THE FIRST TIME, NOT A RECURRING ISSUE THAT PUTS ADDITIONAL STRESS AND FEAR. ISN'T COVID ALREADY CAUSING ENOUGH OF THAT? THE VEHICLE ACTS LIKE IT WANTS TO CUT OFF WHEN I HAVE TO STOP AND GO FORWARD DRIVING.

RECALL 19S22 NEEDS TO BE EXTENDED FOR 2017 FORD FOCUS WITH A BUILD DATE EXTENDED FROM APRIL 2017 TO AT LEAST OCTOBER 2017. MINE IS EXPERIENCING THE EXACT SYMPTOMS OF THIS RECALL AND IS NOT INCLUDED. THIS IS FOR THE FUEL TANK DEFORMATION RECALL FOR A STUCK CANISTER PURGE VALVE. CAR STALLS AFTER REFUELING WITH CODES P0456 AND P1450
WHILE BACKING UP OUT OF PARKING SPOT THE CAR STALLED. ADDITIONALLY AT TIMES WHEN BACKING UP THE CAR, IT REPORTS LOW GAS OR INCORRECT GAS AMOUNT. THIS ALIGNS WITH A KNOWN RECALL OF 18S32 FROM THE SAME DATE RANGE AND MANUFACTURING PLANT AS MY CAR BUT MY VIN IS NOT LISTED IN THIS RECALL.

MY 2017 FOCUS CONTINUES TO SHIFT INTO NEUTRAL PERIODICALLY WHILE DRIVING. IT HAPPENS WHILE ACCELERATING. I HAVE BROUGHT IT IN 3 TIMES FOR THIS AND FOR THE SHUDDER/VIBRATION ISSUE WITH THE TRANSMISSION. IT NEUTRAL SHIFTS AT LEAST ONCE A WEEK. FORD COULD NOT REPLICATE THE ISSUE WITH THE NEUTRAL SHIFT AND WILL NOT FIX IT. THEY WILL ALSO NOT CORRECT THE SHUDDER / VIBRATION BECAUSE EVEN THOUGH THEY CONFIRMED THE SHUDDER, IT WAS STILL "WITHIN SPEC". 2 DAYS AFTER I PICKED IT UP FROM SERVICE FOR THE ISSUES, THE NEUTRAL SHIFT HAPPENED AGAIN AND I WAS NEARLY HIT BY ANOTHER CAR. I FEAR MY FIANCE WHO DRIVES THE CAR WILL GET INTO AN ACCIDENT BECAUSE OF THESE PROBLEMS THAT FORD IS NOT CORRECTING. I HAVE ALL THE PAPERWORK FROM THE FORD DEALER THE ISSUES WERE "CORRECTED" AT.
ON 11/02/2020 I STARTED MY CAR, WARMED IT UP AND THEN STARTED DRIVING. I NOTICED THAT THE CAR SHOOK AND PULLED WHEN SWITCHING GEARS FROM 1ST TO SECOND AND SEEMED TO WANT TO STALL. ALSO, WHEN BREAKING THE CAR WANTED TO KEEP ACCELERATING. THIS IS THE SECOND TIME THIS HAPPENS IN A MATTER OF A YEAR.

THE CAR WAS FULLY STOPPED AT A RED LIGHT ON A STATE NUMBERED HIGHWAY. I PUT THE CAR INTO 1ST GEAR (MANUAL TRANSMISSION) AS USUAL AND GOT THE CAR MOVING. WHEN SHIFTING FROM 1ST TO 2ND THE CLUTCH PEDAL GOT STUCK FULLY ENGAGED TO THE FLOOR, NOT ALLOWING ME TO PUT THE CAR IN GEAR AND KEEP MOVING. I WAS ABLE TO FORCE THE CLUTCH TO DISENGAGE AFTER A FEW SECONDS AND GET THE CAR INTO 2ND GEAR. THE SAME ISSUE HAPPENED AGAIN GOING FROM 2ND TO 3RD. THE CLUTCH WAS BURNED IN THE PROCESS OF TRYING TO GET THE CAR MOVING UP TO SPEED AND IT TOOK THE ENTIRE NIGHT FOR THE SMELL TO DISSIPATE. I WAS ABLE TO GET HOME AFTER THAT AND TOOK THE CAR TO THE DEALERSHIP THE FOLLOWING MORNING. SINCE THE DEALER CANNOT RECREATE THE ISSUE, THEY WILL NOT DO ANYTHING FURTHER THAN A DIAGNOSTIC CHECK.

I WAS TOLD THE THE ENGINE WAS BLOWN IT IS 2017 VEHICLE WITH 94000 MILES AND I REGULARLY HAD IT SERVED AT THE DEALERSHIP WHERE I BOUGHT IT. I STILL OWE ON IT AND WILL NOW HAVE TO PAY FOR A NEW ENGINE TO BE PUT IN THIS VEHICLE. I HAD READ WHERE THE SAME VEHICLE HAD THIS SAME PROBLEM AND WANTED TO SHARE MY EXPERIENCE WITH OTHERS. STEERING ASSIST FAILURE ON 3 YEAR OLD CAR WITH 6600 MILES. THIS OCCURRED AT THE END OF THE WARRANTY PERIOD. CAR WAS BROUGHT TO DEALER FOR REPAIR ONE WEEK AFTER WARRANTY ENDED, DUE TO QUARANTINE. DEALER STATES REPAIR NOT COVERED AND IS TRYING TO CHARGE $2700 FOR THE REPAIR. I SEE RECALLS ONLINE FOR THIS PROBLEM, BUT NOT FOR MY SPECIFIC CAR. I NEED TO GET REPAIRED, BUT I BELIEVE IT IS A VEHICLE FAULT AND FORD SHOULD COVER COST.
WHILE GOING FROM A STOP TO ACCELERATING, MY VEHICLE SHUTTERS AND WILL ATTEMPT TO STALL. IT FINALLY STARTED BUT WOULDN'T GO OVER 11 MILES THEN IT DROPPED DOWN TO 4 MILES. SO, I HAD PARKED IT AND WENT TO TURN IT BACK ON BUT IT WOULDN'T TURN ON, IT WAS LIKE MY BATTERY HAD DIED.

THE CAR HAS HAD MULTIPLE FUEL MALFUNCTIONS. THE FIRST ONE WAS THE PURGE VALVE WHICH I REPLACED. NOW THE CAR IS THROWING A CODE FOR A FUEL RAIL LOW PRESSURE AND STALLS OUT IN THE MIDDLE OF DRIVING EVEN WHEN I'M ON THE INTERSTATE. THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS AND I'VE NOTICED FORD HAS THE RECALL LISTED ON OTHER MODELS OF THE SAME YEAR BUT NOT MINE.

USER HAD A QUARTER OF A TANK OF GAS BEFORE HEADING HOME. SHORTLY AFTER, USER STARTED THE CAR AND IT STALLED. USER DID NOT THINK MUCH OF IT. USER SHUT IT DOWN AND TURNED KEY TO THE "ON" POSITION AND THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT TURNED ON. THE CAR TURNED OVER AND WORKED. SHORTLY AFTER, USER WAS DRIVING CAR DOWN THE ROAD TOWARDS HIS HOUSE AND THE ENGINE STALLED. SYSTEMS AND ELECTRONICS SCREEN WERE ON, BUT EVERYTHING ELSE GLITCHED AND NOTHING REALLY WORKED, THE CAR TORQUE STEERED THE USER INTO ONCOMING TRAFFIC LANE. USER HAD TO USE E-BRAKE TO PROPERLY SLOW DOWN AND PULL TO THE SHOULDER OF THE ROAD AND TURN KEY ALL THE WAY OFF INTO THE "OFF" POSITION. USER WAITED 5 MINUTES TO ENSURE ALL SYSTEMS WERE SHUT DOWN, AND STARTED CAR BACK UP AGAIN TO SAFELY DRIVE THE REST OF THE WAY HOME. USER HAS EXTENDED WARRANTY AND WILL IMMEDIATELY HAVE DEALERSHIP LOOK AT VEHICLE.
I AM COMPLAINING ABOUT THE TRANSMISSION. AFTER OWNING IT THEY HAD TO REPLACE PRESSURE PLATES IN THE VHICLE AFTER 25K MILES. NOW IT HAS 50K MILES AND IS DOING THE EXACT SAME THING AGAIN. AFTER READING MANY FORUMS THERE CLEARLY IS A PROBLEM WITH THIS AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION.
1) BATTERY WAS REPLACED. CORROSION SURROUNDING BATTERY & ALL PARTS OF BATTERY. TOOK THE CAR TO INSPECTION <2 MONTHS LATER AND CORROSION WAS JUST AS BAD. 2) HAVE TAKEN CARE IN EVERY 2-4 MONTHS SINCE PURCHASING NEW IN 2018. UPON ACCELERATION AND TURNING, CAR SHAKES AND STUTTERS. EACH TIME IT IS TAKEN IN, THERE IS NOTHING DONE BECAUSE "IT'S A KNOWN PROBLEM AND THERE'S NO FIX."

WHILE DRIVING THE POWER STEERING WENT OUT SUDDENLY AND BECAME VERY HARD TO DRIVE HOME. SECONDS AFTER THE POWER STEERING WENT OUT A NOTICE OF POWER STEERING FAULT CAME UP AND SERVICE IS NEEDED. NO SIGN OF THIS GOING OUT OR ANY PRIOR STEERING ISSUES.
