SERVICE ENGINE LIGHT INDICATED EVAP,VERY SMALL LEAK. RESET CODE AND A DIFFERENT CODE CAME UP FOR A VACUUM IN THE FUEL TANK. UNABLE TO EFFECT REPAIRS MY SELF AND MADE AN APPOINTMENT AT CARDINAL FORD DEALERSHIP. 11400 NEW HALLS FERRY RD. STL, 63033. ATTACHED DOCUMENTS DETAIL REPAIR AND COST.
CAR STALLED WHILE DRIVING AND WOULD NOT RE-START. CAR WAS LOW ON FUEL (APPROXIMATELY 1/8 OF TANK) BUT WAS NOT OUT OF GAS.
WHILE DRIVING THE TRANSMISSION FEELS LIKE IT IS STUTTERING. NOT MUCH MORE INFORMATION THAN THAT IT'S CLOSE TO WHAT WAS HAPPENING ON THE OLDER FOCUSES HAPPENS MORE UPON ACCELERATION
The transmission has shuddered and demonstrated excessive slippage for a year. This has caused problems when I accelerate into traffic. I reported it several times to the dealership (Liberty Ford in Canton, Ohio), and the dealer has finally confirmed the issue (several thousand miles after the warranty expired).
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2018 FORD FOCUS. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING AT VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE VEHICLE STALLED WITHOUT WARNING. THE CONTACT STATED THAT UPON RESTARTING THE VEHICLE, THE VEHICLE WOULD SHAKE ABNORMALLY. THE CONTACT STATED THAT SEVERAL UNKNOWN WARNING LIGHTS WERE ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED WITH THE SOLENOID NEEDING TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE CONTACT RELATED THE FAILURE TO AN UNKNOWN RECALL. THE MANUFACTURER WAS INFORMED OF THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE VIN WAS NOT UNDER RECALL. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 50,000.
THE ENGINE STALLS AFTER ADDING FUEL AT A GAS STATION, THEN HESITATES TO START. ALSO, THE TRANSMISSION (AUTOMATIC) SLIPS GEARS, ESPECIALLY WHEN VEHICLE HAS BEEN DRIVEN FOR LONG PERIOD OF TIME. TRANSMISSION ALSO MAKES CLICKING NOISES WHEN DRIVING OFF.
THERE ARE MORE THAN A FEW FAULTY PURGE VALVE AND SIMILAR TYPE VALVES ON THE FORD FOCUS POSSIBLY CAUSING EXCESSIVE VACUUM IN FUEL VAPOR MANAGEMENT SYSTEM. THE EXCESSIVE VACUUM MAY RESULT IN AN ENGINE STALL WHILE DRIVING,. WITHOUT WARNING AND WITHOUT THE ABILITY TO RESTART THE VEHICLE, INCREASING THE RISK OF A CRASH. AND YET MY YEAR MODEL AND MOTOR SIZE DID NOT MAKE THAT LIST. BUT YET I HAVE THIS PROBLEM ON MY 2018 FORD FOCUS SE ONLY @ 40,0000 MILES . THIS COULD HAVE BEEN A HUGE SAFETY ISSUE W/ MY YOUNG COLLEGE STUDENT DRIVING ALL HOURS OF NIGHT ON BACK ROADS DUE TO HER SCHEDULE. SHE HAD NO WARNING NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHT NOTHING. SHE WAS VERY LUCKY THIS DID NOT STALL ON THE HIGHWAY. SHE COULD HAVE BEEN REAR-END OR WHO NO WHAT ELSE. I BELIEVE THIS SHOULD ME FORD MANUFACTURING ISSUE AND THAT IT SHOULD BE ADDED TO SAFETY RECALL LIST
Purchased with less than 50k miles with warranty. 2k miles until warranty expired car started jerking and shuddering when taking off. Took to dealership no codes or recalls. A month later car would not start after refueling. Had mechanic replace fuel evap. Fixed one problem but not the shuddering. Problem seems to be worsening. Recall for half of the 2018 focus models for same issues but recall does not include all!
THE LCD SCREEN IS TOTALLY BLACK. NO VISIBLE CONTROLS WITHOUT SCREEN.
MY CAR HAS BEEN STALLING, NOT WANTING TO TURN ON AND ITS ALSO USING WAY MORE GAS THAN WHAT IT SHOULD REALLY BE USING. I WENT FROM HAVING 34-35 MILES TO THE GALLON AND IT DROPPED DOWN TO 29 MILES TO THE GALLON... I HAVE TAKEN IT TO GET A DIAGNOSTIC TEST AND THEY SAID IT WAS MY PURGE VALVE.
THE ENGINE STALLS AFTER ADDING FUEL AT A GAS STATION, THEN HESITATES TO START. BEEN TOLD ITS THE PURGE VALVE STUCK, BUT DEALER CHECKED AND ONLY CLEARED THE ENGINE LIGHT. ALSO, THE TRANSMISSION CLUTCH SLIPS FROM 1ST TO 2ND GEARS, ESPECIALLY WHEN VEHICLE HAS BEEN DRIVEN FOR LONG PERIOD OF TIME. TRANSMISSION ALSO MAKES CLICKING NOISES WHEN DRIVING OFF. NOTE; THE SAME VEHICLE, YEAR, MAKE AND MODEL HAVE BEEN RECALLED FOR THE VERY SAME ISSUES, HOWEVER FOR SOME REASON MY VEHICLE HAS NOT BEEN RECALLED.
I BOUGHT MY 2018 FORD FOCUS HATCHBACK ON 06/23/2018 AND ON 09/03/20 I HAD TO HAVE MY FRONT AND REAR ROTORS AND BRAKE PADS REPLACED. THE ROTOR WAS CRACKED AND THEY WERE REALLY RUSTED. MAKING MY CAR UNDRIVABLE. THIS MAKES ME SICK THAT FORD USES SUCH CHEAP PARTS THAT I MYSELF AS A POOR MICHIGANDER HAD TO REPLACE ROTORS AND BRAKE PADS WITHIN 2 YEARS OF BUYING A BRAND NEW CAR.
ISSUE WITH THE FUEL PURGE VALVE. AFTER GETTING GAS, CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON AND VEHICLE WILL NOT START. ALSO, PROBLEMS WITH THE CLUTCH. VEHICLE STUTTERS AND STALLS, AS WELL AS LEAPS WHILE IN GEAR.
MY CAR 2018 FORD FOCUS ISN'T PART OF THE RECALL. I'M HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM WITH THE CANISTER PURGE VALVE.
I WAS ON MY WAY TO WORK ON 8/25/2020 ABOUT A MILE AWAY THE ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON SO I TURN AROUND TO LEAVE IT HOME THEN MY VEHICLE STALLED ALL OF THE SUDDEN WITH NO WARNING OTHER THAN THE ENGINE AND OIL LIGHTS CAMING ON, I TOWED IT TO THE DEALERSHIP FOR ADIAGNOSIS SAME DAY AND THIS MORNING OF 8/26/2020 I RECEIVED A CALL FROM THE DEALERS SHOP AND THEY ARE STATING THAT THE OIL PUMP WENT OUT AND RUINED THE BATTERY AND NOW I HAVE TO REPLACE THE BATTERY ON THE VEHICLE, NOW IM CONCERNED BECAUSE I DID NOT GET ANY WARNING FROM THE ENGINE, NO SMOKE, NO RATTLING OR SHAKING AND THE WEIRD THING IS THAT IT CRANKS BUT WONT START, IT JUST STALLED AND IT TURNS OUT TO BE A BLOWN ENGINE.
MY DAUGHTER DRIVING HER 2018 FORD FOCUS HATCHBACK WAS INVOLVED IN A HIGH IMPACT FRONT END COLLISON AT APPROXIMATELY 35 MPH AT IMPACT. THE FOCUS HIT A SUV WHO SUDDENLY MADE A COMPLETE STOP FOR NO REASON ON 40 MPH ROAD. THE IMPACT WAS A DIRECT HIT TO THE FOCUS'S FRONT BUMPER FLUSH WITH SUV'S BACK BUMPER. THE DRIVER'S SIDE KNEE AIRBAG WAS THE ONLY AIRBAG TO DEPLOY AND THE MY DAUGHTER (DRIVER) WAS TAKEN BY AMBULANCE TO THE NEAREST HOSPITAL, SUFFERED MULTIPLE COMPRESSION FRACTURES OF THE SPINE, INJURIES TO MULTIPLE INTERVERTEBRAL DISCS, AN APPARENT KNEE LIGAMENT INJURY, AND OTHER SUPERFICIAL BRUISES, CUTS, AND SCRAPS TO THE HIPS, LEGS, SHOULDER, CHEST, AND ARMS. THE HOOD ENDED UP BENT IN HALF LIKE AN "A" FRAME, THE WINDSHIELD WAS CRACKED, MOST OF THE FRONT END WAS PUSHED INTO THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT, AND THE STEERING WHEELING HOUSING WAS CRACKED. THE FORD FOCUS IS A TOTAL LOSS. DURING EXTRACTION OF THE DRIVER, THE FIRE AND RESCUE CUT POWER TO THE VEHICLE TO PREVENT THE STEERING WHEEL AIR BAG FROM DEPLOYING. THEY REMARKED TO THE DRIVER THAT THE STEERING WHEEL AND SIDE AIRBAGS SHOULD'VE DEPLOYED WITH THE AMOUNT OF IMPACT TO THE VEHICLE AND INJURIES SUSTAINED BY THE DRIVER. MY DAUGHTER HAS BEEN IN THE HOSPITAL 3 DAYS AND IS AWAITING A BACK BRACE AND KNEE BRACE AND APPOINTMENTS WITH A NEUROSURGEON, ORTHOPEDIC SURGEON, PHYSICAL THERAPIST, AND PAIN MANAGEMENT. THERE WAS NO INDICATION OF A WARNING LIGHT FOR FAULTY AIR BAG AND THE VEHICLE HAD APPROXIMATELY 30500 ON IT AND WAS STILL UNDER THE ORIGINAL MANUFACTURER'S WARRANTY. A COPY OF THE POLICE REPORT IS PENDING RELEASE AT THIS TIME.
IN THE PAST 3 MONTHS I HAVE STAYED STRANDED SEVERAL TIMES. I DID HAVE GAS, THE TIMES I STAYED RANGED FROM IT SAYING I HAD 13MILES, ANOTHER TIME I WAS AT 28MILES, ANOTHER TIME AT 30MILES AND THE MOST RECENT TIME WAS 20 MILES. 3 DAYS AGO THE ENGINE SIGN CAME OUT, THAT DAY I AS AT A FORD QUICKENED GETTING AN OIL CHANGE AND TOLD THEM ABOUT IT AND WAS TOLD THEY WERE GOING TO CHARGE ME $75 TO CHECK THE CODE SO I DIDN'T TILL TODAY THAT I HAD TIME TO TAKE IT TO AUTOZONE AND IT WAS FREE. THE CODE THAT CAME OUT IS P1450 (3/3) PERMANENT. I DID NOTICE THERE WAS A RECALL IN OCTOBER 2018, I BOUGHT MY CAR FEB 2018. PLEASE PLEASE HELP, I AM BARELY AFFORDING THE CAR PAYMENT, I WOULDN'T KNOW WHAT TO DO IF I STAYED STRANDED AND THIS TIME IT DOESN'T TURN ON, I NEED THE CAR FOR WORK, IT COULD AFFECT ME FINANCIALLY AND EMOTIONALLY.
WHEN DRIVING MY CAR THE ENGINE STALLS TRYING TO GET IT UP TO SPEED AND WHEN YOU ATTEMPT TO STEP INTO IT MY CAR STALLS TO WHERE IT FEELS LIKE YOUR FOOT IS AT THE FLOOR MY DEALERSHIP CLAIMS IT'S JUST THE STYLE OF THE CAR IT'S SUPPOSED TO DO THAT
WHEN ACCELERATING FROM A STOP THE CAR WILL OCCASIONALLY SHUDDER. MY GEAR ALSO SHIFTS HARD AND SLIPS SOMETIMES ON THE DOWNSHIFT TO 1ST. THE SLIP ON THE DOWNSHIFT LURCHED MY CAR FORWARD IN THE RAIN AND ALMOST SLID ME INTO AN INTERSECTION THAT WAS BUSY. WHEN I BROUGHT THE CAR TO FORD THEY TOLD ME THEY COULDN'T DUPLICATE MY ISSUE AND THAT THEY COULDN'T DO ANYTHING WHICH MEANS I AM NOW STUCK TERRIFIED TO DRIVE MY CAR IN THE RAIN. WHICH IS RIDICULOUS CONSIDERING IT ONLY HAS 49K MILES
WHEN YOU REFUEL THE CAR IT WILL HESITATE TO RESTART, IT TAKES AT LEAST THREE TIMES TO GET THE CAR TO START.
MY CAR STARTED SHAKING WHEN TAKING OFF. LOOKING INTO IT I FOUND OUT IT IS A KNOW PROBLEM WITH A BAD TRANSMISSION THAT IS THE FORD FOCUS. IT WAS RECALLED IN PREVIOUS YEARS BUT FORD SAID THEY FIXED IT IN THE NEW MODELS. I CAN'T AFFORD TO TAKE IT TO A SHOP TO HAVE IT REPLACED SO I JUST HAVE TO DRIVE IT HOPING IT GET RECALLED BEFORE MY TRANSMISSION GOES OUT. THE PROBLEM IS WITH THE TRANSMISSION IT SHUDDERS FROM 1-2 GEAR. THEY WERE FORCED TO RECALL THE MANUAL VERSION BECAUSE OF THIS PROBLEM BUT NOT THE AUTOMATIC AS OF YET. WHEN THE CAR IS OFF AND IN PARK YOU CAN TURN THE TIRE BACK AND FORTH AND HEAR THE GEARS CLANGING BACK IN FOURTH IN THE TRANSMISSION WHICH IS NOT NORMAL. I DON'T HAVE A MECHANICS REPORT TO SUBMIT. THE ONLY THING I HAVE IS A VIDEO OF WHAT IT SOUNDS LIKE BUT IT WON'T LET ME SUBMIT IT THROUGH HERE. YOU CAN EMAIL ME WITH ANY OTHER QUESTIONS OF IF YOU WANT THE VIDEO. IT HAPPENS EVERY TIME I DRIVE IT. WHILE AT THIS POINT IT ISN'T A SAFETY CONCERN OF IT PROGRESSES OR THE TRANSMISSION GOES OUT WHILE DRIVING IT COULD BE.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND REFERRED THE CONTACT TO NHTSA. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 63,000.
I WAS DRIVING MY VEHICLE WHEN ALL THE SUDDEN THE CAR STOPPED SPEEDING UP. I KEPT HITTING THE BREAKS AND ALL MY CAR CONTINUED TO DO WAS SLOW DOWN. AFTER THAT THEN MY CAR KEPT KICKING BACK AT ME WHEN I WAS TRYING TO PRESS ON THE GAS AGAIN WHEN I COULD HIT THE GAS OR TURN ON THE CAR TO START IT WAS KICKING BACK. I GO BACK TO TRY ONE MORE TIME TO TURN ON THE CAR AND ALL MY SYSTEMS SHUT OFF AND ALSO INCLUDING MY VEHICLE. *TR
A FULL TANK IS 160 MILES. AND HAS A SMELL WHEN THE A/C ON. ENGINE LIGHT ON BUT CAN'T FIND THE PROBLEM.
ONE OF THE 2 REAR BOLTS THAT BOLT THE REAR OF THE DRIVER'S SEAT TO CAR FLOOR IS MISSING. I NOTICED THIS WHEN I WAS VACUUMING THE CAR OUT. THE SEAT IS ONLY BOLTED A 3 POINTS AND IS A MAJOR SECURITY ISSUE. *TR
THERE ARE SUPPOSED TO BE 2 BOLTS ON THE BACK OF THE DRIVER'S SIDE SEAT. 1 CLOSE TO THE DOOR AND ONE NEXT TO THE CONSOLE. I LOOKED AND NOTICED THAT THERE WAS NO BOLT IN THE MACHINED HOLE CLOSEST TO THE REAR OF THE CENTER CONSOLE. I NOTICED THIS WHILE THE CAR WAS STATIONARY, WHILE I WAS VACUUMING THE FLOOR. *TR
DROVE THE CAR FOR ABOUT AN HOUR, THEN STOPPED AT A GAS STATION. WHEN THE CAR WAS STARTED AGAIN, THE POWER STEERING FAILURE WARNING LIGHT CAME ON, AND POWER STEERING ASSIST WAS NONOPERATIONAL. EVEN AFTER COOLING DOWN THE ENGINE, THE POWER STEERING STILL DID NOT WORK. TOOK TO A FORD SERVICE CENTER, AND WAS TOLD THAT THE RACK AND PINION SYSTEM HAD FAILED, AND IT WOULD COST ABOUT $2,000 TO FIX. *TR
MY CAR IS DOING THE EXACT SAME PROBLEMS THE OTHER RECALLS ARE HAVING. PROBLEMS WITH THE EVAP SYSTEM AND THE TRANSMISSION STALLING I PUT IT IN GEAR AND IT WONT GO
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2018 FORD FOCUS. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING, THE TRANSMISSION FAILED TO PROPERLY SHIFT GEARS WHILE THE RPMS INCREASED AT LOW SPEEDS. ADDITIONALLY, THE VEHICLE HESITATED WHILE DEPRESSING THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT AFTER REFUELING, THE VEHICLE FAILED TO START IMMEDIATELY WITH THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO BE DIAGNOSED NOR REPAIRED. MOUNTAINEER FORD LOCATED AT 615 N. EISENHOWER DR, BECKLEY, WV 25801, WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 54,000.
STUCK CANISTER PURGE VALVE (MAY CAUSE STALL). MINE ALWAYS TRIGGERED P1450 "UNABLE TO BLEED UP FUEL TANK VACUUM" CODE AFTER FILLING AT GAS STATION. I PURCHASED AND REPLACED THE CANISTER PURGE VALVE FROM FORD IN MIDLAND, MI. THIS SHOULD HAVE BEEN A RECALL PART AND I SHOULD NOT HAVE HAD TO PURCHASE! THIS DESIGN IS FLAWED AND ALL MODELS WITH THIS DESIGN (AND ALL YEARS) NEED TO BE ADDED TO THE RECALL. THIS COULD HAVE BEEN VERY DANGEROUS IF IT STALLED AT A BAD TIME.
CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND CHECKED- DIAGNOSIS PURGE VALVE IS STUCK OPEN WHICH IS ALLOWING ENGINE VACUUM INTO THE FUEL TANK WHICH HAS FLATTENED THE FUEL TANK FLAT. THERE IS CURRENTLY A RECALL ON 2018 FORD FOCUS FOR THIS SAME ISSUE IT JUST DOES NOT INCLUDE MY VIN. I WOULD LIKE TO HAVE IT INCLUDED IN CURRENT RECALL. *TR

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2018 FORD FOCUS. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE ATTEMPTING TO OVERTAKE ANOTHER VEHICLE, THE VEHICLE SLIPPED OUT OF GEAR. THE VEHICLE THEN DECELERATED INDEPENDENTLY. THE CONTACT ALMOST GOT REAR ENDED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO CRATER LAKE FORD LINCOLN (2611 BIDDLE RD, MEDFORD, OR 97504, 541-887-6176) BUT WAS NOT DIAGNOSED NOR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 49,500.
AS I WAS DRIVING ON THE INTERSTATE, I HEARD A LOUD POP. NO OTHER VEHICLES WERE AROUND AT THE TIME. I OPENED THE SUNROOF COVER AND NOTICED IT WAS SHATTERED. I PULLED INTO THE GAS STATION TO SEE THAT THERE WAS A LARGE HOLE IN MY SUNROOF.
EACH TIME I FILL THE CAR WITH GAS, EVEN WITH THE TANK HALF FULL, THE CAR STALLS AND HAS TROUBLE STARTING. I HAVE CHECKED FOR CLOGGED OR CRACKED FUEL LINES AND THERE ARE NONE. IT PUTS OUT THE CODE P1450. REPLACEMENT OF THE FUEL TANK PRESSURE SOLENOID AND IT'S STILL HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM. I HAVE READ THAT THERE MAY BE A RECALL OF SOME SORT ON THE FUEL SYSTEM IN THESE CARS. *TR
The contact owns a 2018 Ford Focus. The contact stated that while driving on several occasions at various speeds, the vehicle began shaking violently. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the clutch needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired but the failure reoccurred. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 21,415.

THE LOCAL DEALER PALMETTO FORD LOCATED AT 1625 SAVANNAH HWY, CHARLESTON SC 29407 AND THE MANUFACTURER WERE NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURES BUT NO ASSISTANCE WAS OFFERED. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER 18V735000 (FUEL SYSTEM). THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE HAD EXPERIENCED THE SAME FAILURE LISTED IN THE RECALL. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 60,000.*DT*JB
I HAD ISSUES WITH CAR STALLING LAST YEAR. I BROUGHT IT IN TO MY DEALER HENDERSON FORD IN WEBSTER, NY AND THEY FIXED IT SUPPOSEDLY. NOW HERE IT IS ABOUT 6 MONTHS LATER AND I HAVE SAME ISSUE AGAIN. I KNOW THIS YEAR FORD FOCUS WAS RECALLED FOR THIS ISSUE, BUT NOT MY MODEL. WHY WASN'T IT INCLUDED? CAN'T AFFORD TO FIX IT DUE TO NOT WORKING BECAUSE OF VIVID. *TR

I'VE OWNED THREE DIFFERENT FORDS, ALL OF WHICH WERE THE FOCUS SE (2013,2014, AND DEBATED PURCHASING THE 2018) AND ALL OF THESE HAVE HAD ISSUES WITH THE TRANSMISSIONS SLIPPING. WHEN SHIFTING FROM FIRST TO SECOND GEAR WHILE DRIVING, THE CAR JOLTS BACK AND FORTH AND HESITATES TO SHIFT GEARS. I TEST DROVE THE CAR TODAY AND EVEN THE DEALER ADMITTED THAT THIS IS NOT NORMAL FOR CARS BUT FOR THIS CAR IS TYPICAL BECAUSE THERE ARE SO MANY ISSUES.

THE OTHER DRIVER WAS ALSO TAKEN TO THE HOSPITAL; HOWEVER, THE DRIVER'S INJURIES WERE UNKNOWN. THE VEHICLE WAS INITIALLY TOWED TO A FAMILY MEMBER'S RESIDENCE AND WAS LATER TOWED BY THE INSURANCE COMPANY. THE VEHICLE WAS DEEMED A TOTAL LOSS. THE DEALER NOR THE MANUFACTURER WHERE NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN. *LN

The check engine light came and the code for CPV show up. When you put gas in it doesn't start up right away like it suppose to. And the acceleration take time on occasion. Basically what the recall said for the car. But the dealship says my Vin numbet doesn't match the recalled so I don't know what to do.
MY 2018 FOCUS HAS 2 CODES FOR CHECK ENGINE LIGHT P1450 AND P0456. THESE 2 ISSUES ARE THE SAME THING OTHER 2018 FOCUS'S HAVE BEEN RECALLED FOR. WE ARE AT 43000 MILES AND THINK THIS CAR SHOULD BE RECALLED AS WELL.
MANUAL TRANSMISSION. WHILE IN MOTION, GOING THROUGH GEARS DURING ACCELERATION, CLUTCH PUSHED IN, FOOT OFF GAS, RPMS GO UP ANYWHERE BETWEEN 500 AND 1500 FOR SEVERAL SECONDS BEFORE DROPPING. IF YOU DON'T CLUTCH IN, CAR CONTINUES TO PULL AS THOUGH THE GAS PEDAL IS STUCK AND THE "SHIFT UP" LIGHT STAYS ON.
