TAKATA RECALL I WAS NOTIFIED IN JULY OF 2016 THAT I HAD ONE OF THE AFFECTED AIRBAGS ON MY FRONT PASSENGER SIDE. AS OF THIS DATE I HAVE NOT RECEIVED ANY OTHER INFO. IT HAS BEEN 17 MONTHS ON TOP OF THE FACT THAT THIS CAR IS ALMOST 10 YEARS OLD, AND STILL NO NEW AIRBAG.
TAKATA RECALL, I TOOK MY CAR TO THE DEALER WITH THE RECALL NOTICE AND THEY SAID THERE WAS NOTHING THEY COULD DO SINCE TAKATA WENT OUT OF BUSINESS. I WENT BACK AGAIN AND THEY SAID THEY DIDN'T HAVE THE PARTS TO FIX THE AIR BAG.
TAKATA RECALL I WAS NOTIFIED IN JULY 2016 OF THE AIRBAG RECALL AND WAS TOLD THERE WAS NO FIX AT THAT TIME AND I WOULD BE NOTIFIED WHEN THERE WAS A FIX. I REVISITED MY LOCAL FORD DEALERSHIP IN JULY OF 2017 AND WAS TOLD THERE WAS STILL NO FIX. I RECEIVED FROM TK HOLDINGS INC. ABOUT THEM FILING FOR CHAPTER 11 AND I SHOULD CONTACT MY DEALER IMMEDIATELY AND HAVE MY AIRBAG FIXED. THERE IS STILL NO FIX AVAILABLE.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE CONTACT CALLED HALDEMAN FORD AT (833) 668-9583 (LOCATED AT 640 US-130, EAST WINDSOR, NJ 08520) AND WAS INFORMED THAT THE PART WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE MANUFACTURER OPENED CASE NUMBER: CAS15083331-B2D7V4 AND REFERRED THE CONTACT TO NHTSA. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. VIN TOOL CONFIRMS PARTS NOT AVAILABLE.
"TAKATA RECALL" A RECALL LETTER FOR OUR VEHICLE WAS SENT IN JULY 2016 AND IT IS NOW JULY 2017 AND NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE ABOUT THE RECALL. THIS IS VERY UNACCEPTABLE. HOW CAN IT TAKE OVER A YEAR TO RESOLVE THIS PROBLEM? THIS ISSUE NEEDS TO BE ESCALATED SO THESE VEHICLES CAN BE REPAIRED/FIXED BEFORE SOME ONE ELSE GETS KILLED FROM THE FAULTY PASSENGER AIR BAGS.
TAKATA RECALL: FORD AIRBAG RECALL LETTER WAS FROM 2016, FORD DEALERSHIP IS JUST NOW ABLE TO ORDER THE PASSENGER AIRBAG, PARTS DEPARTMENT ESTIMATED ANOTHER 3 WEEKS BEFORE GETTING THE PART.
RECEIVED 5 NOTICES REGARDING AIRBAG SAFETY PROBLEMS (FIRST DATED JULY 2016 SECOND DATED DECEMBER 2017, THIRD DATED JUNE 2018 AND FINAL ONE DATED AUGUST 2018) I CALLED A FORD DEALER IN MY AREA IN SEPTEMBER 2018 AND WAS INFORMED THEM OF THE DMV NOTICE. WAS TOLD THAT THE DMV DON'T DECIDE THESE MATTERS WE DO AND SAID I SHOULD GET A NOTICE WITHIN 2 TO 3 WEEKS. WELL IT'S NOW NOVEMBER AND NO NOTICE. SINCE WE ONLY HAVE THIS CAR WE CONTINUE TO DRIVE IT. WE HAVE NO OTHER FORM OF TRANSPORTATION. I HAVE BEEN VERY WORRIED ABOUT DRIVING THIS CAR BUT HAVE NO OTHER OPTIONS. ANY HELP WOULD BE WELCOME. THANK YOU
I HAVE REPLACED THE BROKEN BOLT ON THE IDLER PULLEY FOR THE SECOND TIME IN 6 MONTHS. THIS IS AN ANNOYING ISSUE WITH THIS ENGINE. FORTUNATELY IT HAPPENED ON STATRT UP SO WE WERE IN THE DRIVEWAY. HAD IT HAPPENED ON THE HIGHWAY, THE LOSS OF POWER STEERING COULD HAVE EASILY RESULTED IN A FATAL CRASH. THE BOLT IS POORLY DESIGNED AND NEEDS TO BE LARGER AND OR HARDER. IF THIS IS NOT FIXED SOMEONE WILL EVENTUALLY BE KILLED. HOW MANY DEATHS DOES IT TAKE TO WARRANT ATTENTION BY FORD???
RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE OVER 15 MONTHS AGO AND THE ACTUAL DASHBOARD WHERE THE AIR BAG IS HOUSED IS SEPARATING FROM THE REST OF THE DASHBOARD. HAVEN;T HAD ANY CONTACT FROM THE MANUFACTURER AND THE RECALL IS STILL OPEN.
TAKATA REALL - OVER A YEAR THE ISSUE IS STILL UNRESOLVED. WHAT DOES YOUR OFFICE RECOMMEND? HOW UNSAFE DOES YOUR OFFICE BELIEVE THE VEHICLE IS TO DRIVE? ALSO, I RECEIVED THE 15S21 RECALL (DRIVER SIDE AIR BAG) ON THE FAMILIES FORD MUSTANG 2007; HOWEVER, A 15S21 RECALL WAS NEVER RECEIVED ON THE 2008 FUSION (DRIVER SIDE AIR BAG) WHY?
REFERENCE COMPLAINT NO. 11006081 AND NO. 11006075 AIRBAG REPLACEMENT - 2007 MUSTANG AND 2008 FUSION: I FOUND THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION ON A HONDA WEBSITE - "THE 'ALPHA' DRIVER-FRONT AIRBAG INFLATORS WERE THE SUBJECT OF THE FIRST TAKATA AIRBAG INFLATOR RECALLS STARTING IN 2008. IN MOST CASES, THE PREVIOUS OWNERS OF THESE AFFECTED VEHICLES DID NOT REPLACE THE INFLATORS UNDER THOSE RECALLS AND, THUS, THE VEHICLES REMAIN UNREPAIRED. NOW, BECAUSE OF THE TIME THAT HAS PASSED, THEY ARE EVEN MORE LIKELY TO RUPTURE IF THE DRIVER'S AIRBAG DEPLOYS IN A CRASH. IN FACT, IN TESTING DONE BY TAKATA, ALPHA INFLATORS REMOVED FROM VEHICLES IN CONSISTENTLY HOT AND HUMID AREAS SHOWED A RUPTURE RATE AS HIGH AS 50 PERCENT." CAN I EXPECT THE SAME, HIGHER PERCENTAGE OF KILL RATE, IN THE INFLATORS IN MY 2007 MUSTANG AND 2008 FUSION AS THEY AGE, AS FOUND BY HONDA? I WILL PAY TO HAVE THE AIRBAGS/INFLATORS REPLACED - REQUEST YOUR OFFICE PROVIDE THE CORRECT PART NUMBERS AND RECOMMENDED PLACE TO HAVE THE WORK CORRECTLY ACCOMPLISHED. TAKATA RECALL I GOT A RECALL LETTER IN THE MAIL IN JULY ABOUT MY PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG INFLATOR MAY RUPTURE IN THE EVENT OF A CRASH NECESSITATING AIRBAG DEPLOYMENT. A RUPTURED INFLATOR MAY RESULT IN METAL FRAGMENTS STRIKING VEHICLE OCCUPANTS CAUSING SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH. I'VE BEEN VERY SCARED TO DRIVE MY CAR EVERY SINCE. I DO NOT FEEL LIKE THIS ISSUE IS BEING RESOLVED IN A TIMELY MANNER.
TAKATA RECALL. RECEIVED RECALL NOTICE (16S26/NHTSA RECALL 16V-384) JULY 2016 FROM FORD. TODAY IS NOVEMBER 7, 2016. NOTICE OF REPAIR SCHEDULE AND FIX FOR OF DEFECTIVE AIRBAG IS NOT TIMELY AND HAS NOT YET BEEN MADE YET.
RECALL REPAIR HAS BEEN IGNORED BY DEALERSHIP AND MANUFACTURER TO DATE. I RESPONDED TO THE SAFETY RECALL LETTER 7/2016 AND NOTHING MORE THAN - NO PARTS- NO TARGET DATE FOR PARTS-NO THERE IS NO ONE WHO KNOWS OR CAN DO ANYTHING MORE. JUST HAVE TO WAIT. FOR WHAT?? UNTIL THERE IS AN INJURY OR DEATH. THE ALARM HAS BEEN SOUNDED - THEN NO REMEDY AVAILABLE. THE ACCESS ON THE TOP OF THE FRONT DASH HAS PULLED APART AND NOW HAVE BEEN NOTIFIED THAT THE AIRBAG MAY DEPLOY AT ANY TIME.

I RECEIVED RECALL LETTER BACK IN JULY 2016 REGARDING THE PASSENGER AIR BAG RECALL. SAFETY RECALL NOTICE 16S26/NHTSA RECALL 16V-384. AND THE ISSUE HASN'T BEEN CORRECT TO DATE. I AM NERVOUS DRFIVING MY CAR WITH A PASSENGER AND NOW THE DASH IS PEELING AWAY FROM THE AIR BAG SITE.
RECEIVED RECALL ON AIRBAGS 6 MONTHS AGO AND AS OF 1/3/2017 HAS NOT BEEN TAKEN CARE OF. FORD DEALERSHIP SAYS THEY HAVE NOT RECEIVED THE PARTS YET. ALSO THE BRAKES GO SOFT WHEN BRAKING AND HAVE NOT RECEIVED ANY RECALL ABOUT THIS PROBLEM. 2 VERY DANGEROUS PROBLEMS THAT NEED TO BE TAKEN CARE OF.

TAKATA RECALL 16S26. I WAS FIRST NOTIFIED ABOUT THIS AIR BAG RECALL IN JULY, 2016. NOW IT IS MARCH, 2017 AND STILL NO SOLUTION HAS BEEN FOUND. THIS IS TAKING ENTIRELY TO LONG FOR THE SERIOUSNESS OF THE RECALL. IT IS VERY IMPORTANT THAT THE AIR BAGS WORK CORRECTLY.

I CONTACTED FIVE STAR FORD OF PLANO UPON RECEIPT OF THIS CORRESPONDENCE AND WAS ADVISED ANOTHER LETTER WILL BE SENT WHEN PARTS ARE AVAILABLE. NO 2ND FORD MOTOR COMPANY LETTER HAS BEEN RECEIVED. WHAT IS THE NEXT STEP? THE INITIAL LETTER IS ATTACHED.

"TAKATA RECALL". SAFETY RECALL NOTICE 16S26 / NHTSA RECALL 16V-38. I RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE ABOUT THE TAKATA RECALL FROM FORD MOTOR CO. MORE THAN A YEAR AGO (JULY 2016). I HAVE NEVER HEARD FROM FORD SINCE AND HAVE QUESTIONED MY LOCAL DEALER SEVERAL TIMES AND HAVE BEEN TOLD THEY HAVE NOT RECEIVED THE PARTS. THE NOTICE STATED THAT THE ISSUE WAS WITH THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG, SO I AM CONCERNED ABOUT LETTING ANYONE RIDE IN THAT SEAT. I BELIEVE THAT HAVING TO WAIT MORE THAN A YEAR WITH NO RESPONSE OR TO HAVE THIS RESOLVED IS UNREASONABLE AND A REAL SAFETY ISSUE FOR ME AND MY FAMILY.

TK HOLDINGS SENT ME NOTICE TO SCHEDULE A REPLACEMENT IN THE MAIL 11-2-2017. I WENT TO YREKA, CA. FORD DEALERSHIP AND THEY WILL NOT DO IT TILL FORD SAYS TO DO IT. FORD IS DRAGGING THEIR FEET IN MY OPINION, HOPING THESE OLDER MODEL YEARS WILL HIT THE JUNK YARDS BEFORE THEY HAVE TO REPLACE THEM. THE LOCAL DEALERSHIP SAYS IT WILL BE IN EXCESS OF $1500. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 FORD FUSION. THE CONTACT RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 16V384000 (AIR BAGS); HOWEVER, THE PART TO DO THE REPAIR WAS UNAVAILABLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. HAWK FORD IN SAINT CHARLES, ILLINOIS WAS MADE AWARE OF THE RECALL AND STATED THAT THE PARTS WERE UNAVAILABLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. VIN TOOL CONFIRMS PARTS NOT AVAILABLE.
TAKATA RECALL. THE RECALL HAS NOT BEEN ADDRESSED FOR OVER A YEAR AND A HALF. THE DASH BOARD IS SEPARATING FROM AROUND THE AIR BAG. I AM CONCERNED OF THE SAFETY FOR ANYONE RIDING IN MY CAR. THIS IS MY 3RD TIME ISSUING THIS COMPLAINT...

TAKATA RECALL. I RECEIVED A LETTER CONCERNING THE PROBLEM ON 7/2016 AND I CALLED AGAIN TODAY AND PARTS ARE STILL NOT AVAILABLE. I'M CONCERNED FOR MY SAFETY AND MY PASSENGER(S) SAFETY WITH THIS PROBLEM UNRESOLVED.
"TAKATA RECALL" I RECEIVED A LETTER FROM FORD ONE YEAR AND A HALF AGO STATING THAT MY PASSENGER AIRBAG WAS DEFECTIVE. THEY STATED THAT IT WAS A SERIOUS ISSUE THAT CAN CAUSE DEATH OR SERIOUS INJURY. THWY SAID THEY WOULD SEND OUT LETTERS SOON TO FIX THE PROBLEM AND I WAITED FOR MONTHS AND I DID NOT RECEIVE ANYTHING FROM THEM. I CALLED AND FORD KEPT ME ON HOLD MAKING IT IMPOSSIBLE TO SPEAK TO A LIVE PERSON. I FILED A COMPLAINT AND THEY FINALLY SENT ME A RESPONSE. THE LETTER STATES THAT THE REPAIRS HAVE BEEN DELAYED. WHEN WILL THEY FIX THIS? THIS IS A SERIOUS MATTER. PLEASE DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS.
TAKATA RECALL I HAVE RECEIVED A SAFETY RECALL WHICH STATES THAT "THE PASSENGER FRONTAL AIRBAG INFLATOR MAY RUPTURE IN THE EVENT OF A CRASH NECESSITATING AIRBAG DEPLOYMENT." IT, ALSO, STATES THAT "A RUPTURED INFLATOR MAY RESULT IN METAL FRAGMENTS STRIKING VEHICLE OCCUPANTS CAUSING SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH." I HAVE RECEIVED THREE LETTERS TO THIS EFFECT, BEGINNING JULY, 2016. IN ADDITION, THE LETTER STATES "IF YOUR VEHICLE CONTAINS A DEFECTIVE OR POTENTIALLY DEFECTIVE AIRBAG INFLATOR AND IS UNDER RECALL, CONTACT YOUR NEAREST DEALERSHIP IMMEDIATELY TO SCHEDULE A FREE REPAIR." I CONTACTED FORD SEVERAL TIMES, AND THEY SAY THEY DO NOT HAVE THE PARTS TO REPLACE THE AIRBAGS. TODAY, I CALLED FORD AGAIN, AND I WAS TOLD THE PART IS "CURRENTLY BEING DEVELOPED IN CONJUNCTION WITH OUR SUPPLIERS. THEY ARE EXPECTING PARTS THE SPRING OF 2018; HOWEVER, NO SPECIFIC DATE HAS BEEN DETERMINED. FINALLY, I WAS DENIED A LOANER VEHICLE UNTIL THE PARTS COME IN. I HAVE NO TRANSPORTATION, AS I AM HANDICAPPED AND CANNOT EASILY GET INTO THE BACK SEAT. ALSO, THE LETTER STATED THAT METAL FRAGMENTS COULD STRIKE VEHICLE OCCUPANTS, SO IT WOULD NOT MATTER WHERE THEY WERE SEATED. I AM LOOKING FOR A LOANER (FREE OF CHARGE) UNTIL REPLACEMENT PARTS ARE PUT IN, OR I WOULD LIKE TO HAVE ALL OF THE AIRBAGS DISENGAGED PERMANENTLY, UNTIL THE REPLACEMENT PARTS COME IN.
TAKATA RECALL I JUST CHECKED THE STATUS OF THIS RECALL AND FORD SAYS IT IS STILL WAITING FOR PARTS. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE. IT'S BEEN 18 MONTHS SINCE THIS RECALL WENT OUT. IT NEEDS RESOLVED IMMEDIATELY! I HAVE NOT HAD ANY ACCIDENT WITH THE CAR BUT IT COULD HAPPEN ANY TIME AND MAY AFFECT MY ABILITY TO SELL OR TRADE THIS CAR!
