TAKATA RECALL. THERE HAS BEEN A RECALL ON THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG ON MY FORD FUSION FOR OVER A YEAR. THE PARTS TO REPLACE THE AIRBAG ARE STILL NOT AVAILABLE. I FEEL UNSAFE DRIVING MY CAR, AS THERE'S RISK OF SHRAPNEL IMPALING ME AND THE OTHER PASSENGERS IN MY CAR. THE LOCAL FORD DEALERSHIP STATED THEY LEGALLY CANNOT DISCONNECT THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG IN MY CAR. I FEAR FOR MY SAFETY DRIVING MY OWN CAR. IT SHOULD NOT TAKE THIS LONG TO HAVE MY CAR FIXED.
2008 FUSION - VEHICLE IDENTIFICATION NUMBER (VIN): [XXX] I AM INSTRUCTED BY THE FIRST LETTER BY FORD IN JULY 2016 AND THE POSTCARD BY TK HOLDINGS THAT THE REPAIR AND REPLACEMENT IS FREE OF CHARGE AND CARRIED OUT BY MY DEALER AND I SHOULD APPROACH MY DEALER, AND I HAVE APPROACHED MY DEALER SEVERAL TIMES THROUGHOUT 2016 AND 2017 BUT MY DEALER HAS NOT REPLACED AND REPAIRED THE AIRBAG BECAUSE THEY/FORD SAYS NO PARTS ARE AVAILABLE SO FAR. I RECEIVED A LETTER ON JULY 2016, FROM FORD MOTOR COMPANY, PO BOX 1904, DEARBORN, MICHIGAN 48121 AND THE LETTER STATES AND READS IMPORTANT SAFETY RECALL - SAFETY RECALL NOTICE 16S26 / NHTSA RECALL 16V-384 ON YOUR VEHICLE THE PASSENGER FRONTAL AIRBAG INFLATOR MAY RUPTURE. I HAVE SEEN SO OFTEN MY DEALER HERE IN CARLISLE FAMILY FORD BUT THEY ALWAYS TELL ME THAT FORD DOES NOT HAVE SPARE PARTS TO REPAIR THE FAULTY AIRBAG. WE HAVE NOW NOVEMBER 2017 AND I GOT A POSTCARD THAT TK HOLDINGS INC HAS FILES CHAPTER 11. THEY ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE FAULTY AIRBAG. I SHOWED MY DEALER FAMILY FORD IN CARLISLE THE POSTCARD AND MY DEALER IS TELLING ME THAT THEY ARE AWARE OF TK HOLDINGS INC AND THAT TK HOLDINGS INC HAS FILED CHAPTER 11 BANKRUPTCY , BUT NO PARTS ARE AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME TO REPLACE AND REPAIR MY FAULTY AIRBAG. MY DEALER IS ALSO TELLING ME THAT I HAVE TO KEEP WAITING AND WHEN SOMETIME IN THE NEAR FUTURE THE PARTS ARE AVAILABLE THEY/FORD WILL SEND ME ANOTHER LETTER. SO FAR FORD IS NOT REPLACING AND REPAIRING THE FAULTY AIRBAG. I JUST WONDER WHEN THEY/FORD WILL REPLACE AND REPAIR THE FAULTY AIRBAG IN MY CAR. IN NOVEMBER OF 2017 MY BREAK PEDAL BECAME UNRESPONSIVE AND WOULD GO ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR WHEN'S PRESSED. IT WOULD BREAK AFTER I PUMPED MY BREAKS BUT BREAKING WAS STILL COMPROMISED. I REPLACED MY MASTER CYLINDER AND BLED MY BREAKS, CHECKED FOR LEAKS TO NO AVAI. I TOOK IT TO A MECHANIC AND HE'S COULD FIND NOTHING WRONG BUT SUSPECTED THE ABS HYDRAULIC CONTROL UNIT. THIS ISSUE CAN ONLY BE HANDLED BY FORD DEALERSHIPS. NO HARSH BREAKING OCCURRED TO CAUSE THE ISSUE AND I NARROWLY AVOIDED AN ACCIDENT DUE TO THE FAILURE (I HAD TO SWERVE INTO THE ONCOMING LANE TO AVOID THE ACCIDENT). I FEEL THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE AND SHOULD BE RECALLED BECAUSE I RESEARCHED IT AND FOUND NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS THAT ARE SIMILAR TO MINE AND I COULD'VE SERIOUSLY INJURED MYSELF OR OTHERS DUE TO THE PROBLEM.
ALL LOCAL FORD DEALERS DO NOT HAVE THE REPLACEMENT AIR BAG THAT HAS BEEN RECALLED FOR MY VEHICLE TO REMEDY THE POTENTIAL DANGEROUS SITUATION FROM MY TAKATA AIRBAG SINCE JUNE 1, 2016.

THE DEALER (WATERMARK FORD OF MARION, 1910 WEST COOLIDGE AVENUE, MARION, IL 62959) STATED THAT PARTS WERE UNAVAILABLE FOR THE REPAIR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND COULD NOT ASSIST. TL* TAKATA RECALL. THE CONTACT OWNED A 2008 FORD FUSION. WHILE DRIVING 5 MPH AND MAKING A RIGHT TURN, A TRUCK STRUCK THE DRIVER'S SIDE OF THE CONTACT'S VEHICLE. THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED PRIOR TO THE COLLISION. THE DRIVER WAS KNOCKED UNCONSCIOUS AND BOTH OCCUPANTS REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION AND WERE TRANSPORTED TO THE HOSPITAL BY AMBULANCE. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC, BUT WAS NOT INSPECTED TO DETERMINE THE CAUSE OF THE AIR BAG FAILURE. THE INSURANCE COMPANY DEEMED THE VEHICLE A TOTAL LOSS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. PRIOR TO THE COLLISION, THE CONTACT RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 16V384000 (AIR BAGS). THE PARTS TO DO THE REPAIR WERE UNAVAILABLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE DEALER (MARK MARTIN FORD, 1601 BATESVILLE BLVD, BATESVILLE, AR 72501 (800) 566-4461) WAS CONTACTED AND CONFIRMED THAT THE PARTS WERE NOT AVAILABLE FOR THE RECALL REMEDY. THE CONTACT ALSO RECEIVED NOTIFICATION FROM TK HOLDINGS THAT THE MANUFACTURER FILED FOR BANKRUPTCY. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 75,000. VIN TOOL CONFIRMS PARTS NOT AVAILABLE.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 FORD FUSION. WHILE DRIVING 45 MPH, A DEER STRUCK THE CONTACT'S VEHICLE. NEITHER OF THE FRONT AIR BAGS DEPLOYED. THE VEHICLE SUSTAINED FRONT END DAMAGE TO THE RADIATOR, HEADLINE ASSEMBLY, BUMPER, AND MOTOR. THE BODY DAMAGE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS DRIVEN TO THE CONTACT'S RESIDENCE. THE CONTACT'S MOTHER TOOK THE CONTACT TO THE HOSPITAL DUE TO INJURIES TO THE RIGHT FOREARM, THUMB, AND RIGHT SHOULDER. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN. TAKATA RECALL THE RECALL HAPPENED IN 2016 AND THERE IS STILL NO REMEDY AS OF 11/20/2017. THIS IS ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE.

TAKATA RECALL WEST HERR FORD ROCHESTER NY DOES NOT HAVE AIR BAGS IN STOCK AND HAVE NO DATE FOR FUTURE FOR AIR BAGS TO REPLACE DEFECTIVE ONE.
IN MULTIPLE OCCASIONS, AFTER HITTING A SLIGHT BUMP WHILE BRAKING THE BRAKE PEDAL HAS GONE COMPLETELY TO THE FLOOR. MAKING IT HARD TO STOP AT A SAFE DISTANCE. THE ABS HYDRAULIC CONTROL UNIT SEEMS TO BE THE MAIN PROBLEM. THIS PROBLEM IS OCCURRING WITH MANY 2008 FORD FUSION OWNERS AND IT IS A HUGE SAFETY RISK. IN TWO SEPARATE OCCASIONS I HAD TO QUICKLY MOVE TO THE NEXT LANE IN ORDER TO AVOID HITTING THE CAR IN FRONT OF ME.
TAKATA RECALL STILL HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO REPLACE MY AIRBAG. HAVE SERVICED CAR AT DEALERSHIP FOR ENTIRETY OF OWNERSHIP.
HAVE CONTACTED MY AUTOMAX DEALER 3 TIMES IN THE LAST 4 MONTHS TO REMEDY THIS AIRBAG RECALL....EVERY TIME I HAVE BEEN TOLD THAT THEY HAVE NO REMEDY FOR THIS DEFECTIVE PRODUCT.
AFTER A HARD BRAKING THAT ENGAGED THE ABS, THE BRAKE PEDAL FELT SOFT AFTERWARDS. BRAKING IS STILL POSSIBLE, BIT THE PEDAL TRAVELS FARTHER UNTIL THE BRAKES START TO ENGAGE AND FEELS MUSHY BETWEEN THE PREVIOUS BRAKING POSITION OF THE PEDAL AND THE NEW POSITION WHERE THE BRAKES NOW ENGAGE. IT FEELS AS IF A VALVE IN THE HCU/ABS BRAKE CONTROL MODULE IS STUCK IN AN OPEN OR HALF OPEN POSITION (I.E. MORE FLUID IS REQUIRED TO FILL ALL PATHS BEFORE SUFFICIENT PRESSURE BUILDS UP TO THE BRAKES). DEALERSHIP CHECKED EVERYTHING OUT AND COULDN'T FIND THE CORE ISSUE, PEDAL IS STILL MUSHY AFTER HAVING THE BRAKE SYSTEM BELD BY THEM.
TAKATA RECALL - WE RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE IN JULY 2016 AND HAVE HEARD NOTHING SINCE. NOTHING HAS HAPPENED, WE HAVE HAD NO ACCIDENTS. YET.
TAKATA RECALL - THE MANUFACTURER HAS FAILED OR IS UNABLE TO REMEDY THIS SAFETY RECALL FOR MY VEHICLE IN A TIMELY MANNER,
EXPERIENCING PROBLEM WITH LOW/SOFT BRAKE AFTER THE ABS ENGAGES. VEHICLE IN MOTION, STOPPED SLIGHTLY SUDDENLY, ABS ACTIVATED. AFTERWARDS MY BRAKE PEDAL IS VERY SOFT, BEGINS TO BRAKE, THEN GOES NEARLY TO THE FLOOR BEFORE FULLY STOPPING CAR. DANGEROUS SITUATION.
I HAD TO MAKE A SUDDEN DECELERATION ON ROUGHED UP ASPHALT ( CITY STREET IN PREPARATION TO RESURFACE). ABS KICKED IN FOR A MOMENT, THEN MY BRAKES WENT OUT. PEDAL WOULD GO TO THE FLOOR WITHOUT STOPPING MY VEHICLE. LUCKILY I WAS ONLY GOING 10-15 MPH AND NO CARS IN FRONT OF ME SO I WAS ABLE TO PULL INTO A PARKING LOT USING MY EMERGENCY BRAKE. PARKED FOR ROUGHLY AN HOUR, PUMPING BRAKES THAT SLOWLY REGAINED PRESSURE, BEFORE I WAS COMFORTABLE ATTEMPTING TO DRIVE AGAIN.. SEEMS FINE NOW, BUT AFTER READING ABOUT THE ISSUE, I KNOW IT VERY WELL WILL PROBABLY HAPPEN AGAIN. WHO KNOWS WHEN OR HOW FAST I COULD BE GOING, BUT THE FIX IS $2000 WHICH I AM UNABLE TO AFFORD.
TAKATA INFLATORS: ITS BEEN SINCE JULY 2016 I WAS FIRST NOTIFIED THERE WAS A RECALL ON THE AIR BAGS. I CALLED AGAIN TODAY BECAUSE OF THE LEGAL NOTICE MAILED TO ME BY T^K HOLDING INC THAT IF I DON'T FILE A CLAIM BY DEC 27, 2017 OR MAY BE BARRED FROM DAMAGED CAUSED BY THE AIR BAGS. I HAVE CALLED AGAIN TODAY 11/8/2017 TO GET A APPOINTMENT TO HAVE A NEW AIRBAG INSTALLED. THEY DO NOT HAVE ANY NOW AND HAVE NOT HAD ANY BAGS IN THE LAST YEAR AND HAVE NO IDEA WHEN THEY WILL GET THE BAGS IN TO REPLACE THE RECALLED ONES.. CAN YOU HELP THEM WITH THEIR DEALER TO GET THIS MOVED ALONG AND GET THE AIRBAGS REPAIRED BEFORE WE LOSE A LIFE OR HAVE BODILY INJURY FROM THE OLD ONES. THIS IS A FORD DEALERSHIP IN SAN JOSE, CA.

"TAKATA RECALL" I CALL THE 888 NUMBER AND I GO ONLINE AND THERE IS NO ONE TO SPEAK OR GET MY RECALL RESOLVED AND GET ME A NEW ONE FOR MY CAR. I CALLED THE DEALER SHIP I PURCHASE THE CAR FROM AND THEY ARE NO HELP AT ALL. I FEEL ANYONE WHO SITS IN MY CAR IS AT RISK AND I WOULD LIKE TO RECV A NEW AIR BAG. BUT NOONE WILL HELP OR ANSWER THE PHONE.
TAKATA RECALL - I CALLED FORD DEALER (AUTOFAIR FORD IN HAVERHILL MA) WHO TOLD ME THAT FORD HAD NOT RELEASED A FIX FOR THIS ISSUE IN 2008 FORD FUSIONS
WHEN BRAKING ON A STEEP HILL AT 20+MPH, BRAKES BECOME SOFT AND REQUIRE PUSHING THE PEDAL TO THE FLOOR TO BRING CAR TO COMPLETE STOP. PROBLEM SEEMS TO FIX ITSELF AFTER SOME TIME BEFORE REOCCURRING LATER AFTER NEW BRAKING.
ON DECEMBER 7, 2016, I WAS DRIVING HOME FROM WORK IN EXTREMELY COLD TEMPERATURES (ROUGHLY -20 DEGREES) AND ON SNOW AND ICE. DURING A STOP, MY ABS ENGAGED AND AFTER THAT TIME, MY BRAKES BECAME VERY SOFT, REQUIRED THE PEDAL TO BE PUSHED ALMOST ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR AND OFFERED VERY LITTLE STOPPING POWER. I HAD MY CAR TOWED TO THE DEALERSHIP WHICH WAS ALREADY CLOSED FOR THE EVENING. THE NEXT DAY, THEY WERE UNABLE TO RECREATE THE PROBLEM AND THEORIZED THAT THE EXTREME COLD TEMPERATURES DIDN'T ALLOW THE HYDRAULIC CONTROL UNIT (HCU) TO REROUTE FLUID PROPERLY AFTER THE ABS ENGAGED. THEY ADVISED ME THAT IF IT HAPPENED AGAIN, I MAY NEED TO REPLACE THE HYDRAULIC CONTROL UNIT. I'M GUESSING MY CAR HAD ROUGHLY 100,000 MILES ON IT AT THAT TIME. ON NOVEMBER 4, 2017, I WAS DRIVING IN A BLIZZARD THAT HAD STARTED AFTER A PERIOD OF RAIN SO THE ROADS WERE EXTREMELY SLICK AND ICY. ONCE AGAIN, MY ABS ENGAGED WHICH LED TO A BRAKE FAILURE. I ALSO HAPPENED TO BE AT THE SUMMIT OF A MOUNTAIN WITH A 5% GRADE - NOT A GREAT TIME TO LOSE YOUR BRAKES! I TOOK MY CAR IN TO A SHOP ON 11-6-17 TO HAVE THEM DIAGNOSE THE PROBLEM. THEY WITNESSED THE BRAKE FAILURE AND AFTER TESTING, DETERMINED THAT THE HYDRAULIC CONTROL UNIT HAD FAILED. THEY REPLACED THE HCU (WITH A USED UNIT AT A MATERIALS/LABOR COST OF ROUGHLY $450) AND I WILL SEE WHAT HAPPENS NEXT TIME MY ABS ENGAGES. MY CAR CURRENTLY HAS ABOUT 115,000 MILES ON IT. I CONSIDER MYSELF EXTREMELY LUCKY THAT I DID NOT GET INTO AN ACCIDENT DURING EITHER OF THESE MALFUNCTIONS. THE HCU FAILURE IS DEFINITELY A SAFETY ISSUE THAT NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED AND CAN BE EXTREMELY DANGEROUS.
THE PARTS WILL NOT BE IN UNTIL DEC 2017-- AND I CANNOT GET MY VEHICLE FIXED UNTIL THE PARTS ARE IN .

TAKATA RECALL TOOK CAR INTO DEALERSHIP TO HAVE AIRBAGS REPLACED, AND WE WERE TOLD THEY DIDN'T HAVE THE PARTS AND THEY DIDN'T KNOW IF/WHEN THEY WOULD EVER RECEIVE THE NECESSARY PARTS.
TAKATA RECALL: FORD DEALERS IN MY AREA STATE THAT THEY CURRENTLY DO NOT HAVE THE PARTS TO FIX THE AIRBAG PROBLEM.
THE BRAKES ARE SPONGY AND HAVE TO PUSHED ALMOST TO THE FLOOR FOR THEM TO BE APPLIED.

I HAVE CALLED LOCAL FORD DEALERSHIPS NUMEROUS TIMES AND BEEN TOLD THAT THE PARTS ARE NOT AVAILABLE TO REPAIR MY CAR. I WAS TOLD THAT MY EMAIL ADDRESS IS IN THEIR FILES AND THAT I WILL BE NOTIFIED WHEN PARTS ARE AVAILABLE. TAKATA RECALL - IN JUNE 2016 WE WERE NOTIFIED THERE WAS AN ISSUE WITH THE AIRBAG ON THIS VEHICLE AND TO WAIT FOR THEM TO SEND ANOTHER NOTICE WHEN THERE WAS A REPAIR AVAILABLE. IT HAS NOW BEEN MORE THAN A YEAR, AND WE HAVE NOT RECEIVED THIS NOTICE. WE HAVE ANOTHER VEHICLE UNDER THE SAME RECALL (2005 DODGE DAKOTA), FOR WHICH WE RECEIVED INSTRUCTIONS TO CONTACT A DEALER FOR REPLACEMENT OF THE FAULTY AIRBAG IN THE INITIAL WARNING ABOUT THE RECALL (WITHIN THE PAST COUPLE OF WEEKS) - MY COMPLAINT IS THAT OBVIOUSLY THERE IS A SOLUTION IF DODGE CAN OFFER REPLACEMENT OF THE AIRBAG - HOWEVER, WE HAVE BEEN WAITING OVER A YEAR WITH NO SIMILAR OFFER FROM FORD.
TAKATA RECALL SPOKE TO JOHNSON FORD ON EAST ST PITTSFIELD MA 01201 AND THEY SAID THEY WONT HAVE PARTS BECAUSE THE COMPANY IS FILING CHAPTER 11. THIS IS A SERIOUS MATTER THAT SOMEONE NEEDS TO CORRECT

TAKATA RECALL - I RECEIVED THE SAFETY RECALL NOTICE IN MARCH 2017. IT STATED THAT FORD WOULD CONTACT ME WHEN THE PARTS ARE AVAILABLE. I RECEIVED THE NOTICE FROM TK HOLDINGS, INC. ABOUT THE CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT VS. TAKATA. IT STATES THAT THE DEADLINE FOR FILING CLAIMS AGAINST TAKATA IS 12/27/17. I CALLED TOWNE FORD DEALERSHIP IN ORCHARD PARK, NY TO SCHEDULE THE REPLACEMENT. THEY STATED THAT THEY DO NOT HAVE THE PARTS YET. MY CONCERN IS THAT THIS IS A STALL TACTIC BY BOTH TAKATA AND FORD TO DELAY PAST THE 12/27/17 DATE AND ABSOLVE THEM OF ANY EXPOSURE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE CONTACT CALLED DRUM HILL FORD DEALER ((978) 452-3900, 1212 WESTFORD ST, LOWELL, MA 01851) AND WAS INFORMED THAT THE PART WAS NOT AVAILABLE AND SHOULD BE EXPECTED THE THIRD QUARTER OF 2018. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. VIN TOOL CONFIRMS PARTS NOT AVAILABLE.

TAKATA RECALL IN JUNE 2016 I RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE FROM FORD (16S26) ON A TAKATA PASSENGER. AS OF OCT 2017 THERE HAS BEEN NO SOLUTION PROVIDED. LAST WEEK I GOT A NOTICE SAYING THAT TAKATA IS ENDING ALL CLAIMS ON DEC 27 WHEN I CALLED TAKATA AND FORD, NEITHER COMPANY COULD TELL ME WHAT TO DO OTHER THAN TO WAIT FOR A PENDING SOLUTION. SO IF THE AIRBAG GOES OFF AND CAUSES AN INJURY AFTER DEC 27TH I HAVE NO RECOURSE. SINCE THE TERMS OF THE DOCUMENT THEY GAVE ME INDICATE THAT I CAN SUBMIT A CLAIM FOR FUTURE INCIDENCES I TRIED GOING TO THE WEBSITE TO DO SO BUT THE LINK TO FILL OUT THE CLAIM FOR IS NOT WORKING.

RECEIVED RECALL NOTICE AND CONTACTED DEALER (MAGIC CITY FORD - ROANOKE, VA 24019), BUT THEY SAID THAT THEY COULD NOT DO ANYTHING, AND THAT I NEED TO CONTACT THE NUMBER ON THE RECALL FORM. WHEN I CALLED THAT NUMBER, THEY TOLD ME TO CONTACT THE DEALER. NO INCIDENT HAS OCCURRED.
