My vehicle failed to stop which resulted to a car crash

The contact owns a 2009 Ford Fusion. The contact stated that the front passenger's side air bag was starting to deploy underneath the dashboard, causing the dashboard to crack. The contact became aware that the VIN was included in NHTSA Campaign Number: 21V158000 (Air Bags) which she associated with the failure. The dealer and the manufacturer were not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The failure mileage was 162,000.
Extended brake travel that caused me to get into a car accident. Also my airbag did not deploy causing me to have a serious headache. I had two people in the vehicle with me. I pushed down on the brake pedal and it felt like it wasn’t stopping or it was stopping very slowly. I was driving straight the person in the white pontiac was trying to turn left. I had the right away no yield or stop sign, but she pulled out in front of me. Driver was a 16 year old girl
I was driving and my abs light came on and is stuck open, my brake pad fell off on the driver side and the spindle is bent. I’m not sure what happened to my air bags on the passenger side. It looks like it tried to explode
It's been 6 months since the recall notice was issued, and there is still no remedy for the situation, and I feel unsafe driving my vehicle without a correction made.
WHEN I CRANK UP THE CAR THERE ARE TIMES WHEN IT SAYS PASSENGER AIRBAG IS OFF IN THE AIRBAG SIGNAL BE ON THE DASHBOARD AS WELL THIS IS COMING ON ON A REGULAR NOW AS SOON AS I CRANK UP IT WILL COME ON ON THE DASHBOARD EVERY NOW AND AGAIN THE PASSENGER AIRBAG OFF SIGN WILL BE ON AND IT'S USUALLY WHEN I'M DRIVING
RECALL FOR ABS WAS ISSUED BACK ON DEC 18, 2019. LAST UPDATE IS THERE WAS SUPPOSED TO BE A FIX EXPECTED BY END OF FIRST QUARTER OF 2020. IT'S NOW THE END OF FIRST QUARTER OF 2021 (15 MONTHS LATER) AND THERE IS STILL NO INDICATION OF A REPAIR DATE. IN ADDITION THERE IS NOW A SAFETY RECALL REGARDING THE DRIVER AIRBAG AS WELL. I UNDERSTAND IT TAKES TIME TO IMPLEMENT A FIX, BUT IT SEEM AS IF THE MANUFACTURER IS NOT PUTTING ENOUGH PRIORITY ON GETTING THESE REPAIRS DONE IN A TIMELY MATTER. AT THIS RATE, WITH TWO ACTIVE SAFETY RECALLS, EITHER FIXES NEED TO BE EXPEDITED; OR AN ACCEPTABLE BUY-BACK PLAN THAT ENSURES OWNERS ARE COMPENSATED FOR THE FULL VEHICLE VALUE PLUS TIME AND RISK.

MY DAUGHTER REAR ENDED ANOTHER VEHICLE AND PUSHED THAT VEHICLE INTO ANOTHER VEHICLE BECAUSE HER BRAKE PEDAL WENT ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR AND FAILED TO STOP HER VEHICLE. SHE REPEATEDLY MASHED THE BRAKE PEDAL WITH NO RESPONSE. THE AIR BAGS SHOULD HAVE DEPLOYED AND DID NOT. SHE WAS DRIVING AT ABOUT 45-50 MPH ON THE HIGHWAY AND TRAFFIC STOPPED IN FRONT OF HER. SHE WAS DRIVING CAREFULLY BECAUSE IT WAS IN THE CITY AND HAD BEEN RAINING. SHE WAS NOT FOLLOWING TOO CLOSELY OR GOING TOO FAST FOR CONDITIONS. HER BRAKES FAILED. EVEN THOUGH FORD SAYS THIS VEHICLE IS STILL SAFE TO DRIVE UNTIL THE PARTS COME IN FOR THE RECALL, IT IS NOT. THIS IS A DANGEROUS VEHICLE TO DRIVE UNTIL FORD CAN DO THE ISSUED RECALL FOR THE HYDRAULIC BRAKE VALVE. THEY STILL DON'T HAVE THE PARTS AS OF THE DAY I'M TYPING THIS COMPLAINT. RECALL NUMBER 19V-904. I HAVE MADE STATE FARM AWARE AND THEY ARE PERFORMING INVESTIGATIONS. I HAVE HIRED AN ATTORNEY BECAUSE MY DAUGHTER IS NOT AT FAULT. I HAVE REPORTED THE INCIDENT TO FORD AND THEY WERE NOT HELPFUL. OVER THE LAST YEAR, I'VE GOTTEN A DOZEN RECALL NOTICES ABOUT THE AIRBAG. USDOT, BMV, VIOCC, NHTSA, ETC..... I'VE CONTACTED THE LOCAL FORD DEALERSHIP REPEATEDLY. THEY WON'T DO THE RECALL WORK. THEY KEEP SAYING THEY'RE WAITING FOR FUNDING FROM CORPORATE.
TOOK VEHICLE TO BE REPAIRED FOR PREVIOUS AIRBAG ISSUES AND THE LIGHT HAS COME BACK ON WHILE DRIVING ON A CITY STREET IN ROCKPORT, TEXAS AND NEVER WENT BACK OFF.
TAKATA RECALL. VEHICLE STATIONARY ON JANUARY 18, 2019 THE PASSENGER AIR BAG INFLATOR WAS REPLACED UNDER THE 18S01 RECALL, FORD PART NUMBER 8E5Z 54044A74 AD. ON SEPTEMBER 10, 2019 BROUGHT CAR INTO LOCAL QUIRK FORD DEALERSHIP FOR SERVICE BECAUSE AIR BAG COVER WAS NO LONGER WAS FLUSH TO THE DASHBOARD. FORD SERVICE SAID PROBLEM WAS DUE TO "WORN DASHBOARD" AND NOT COVERED UNDER RECALL. SEE FIRST ATTACHED PICTURE. CALLED FORD CUSTOMER SERVICE ON SEPT 11, 2019 WAS TOLD PROBLEM WAS NOT COVERED UNDER ANY RECALLS OR ANY WARRANTIES, CASE NUMBER CAS-24226208-S8R0V4. MY CONCERN IS THAT BY HAVING AN OPEN CORNER (SEE SECOND ATTACHED PICTURE) FOREIGN OBJECTS COULD ACCIDENTALLY FALL INTO THIS SPACE WITHOUT THE DRIVERS KNOWLEDGE (IE. A PENNY, DIME, ETC) AND IF THE AIR BAG DEPLOYED A SERIOUS INJURY COULD OCCUR. SPECIFICALLY, FOREIGN OBJECTS COULD BECOME AIR BORNE WHEN AIR BAG DEPLOYED. A SMALL PIECE OF METAL LIKE A PENNY OR DIME COULD CAUSE FATAL DAMAGE TO THE PASSENGERS IN THE CAR IF AIR BAG DEPLOYED. NOT SURE IF THIS SHOULD BE COVERED UNDER THE ORIGINAL TAKATA RECALL OR IF ANOTHER RECALL SHOULD BE ISSUED. IN ANY CASE I BELIEVE THIS IS A SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE WHICH SHOULD BE BROUGHT TO YOUR ATTENTION.
FORD AIR BAG RECALL. FORD UNABLE TO REPAIR IN A REASONABLE TIME. AFTER YEARS OF EARNING TO REPLACE THE AIRBAGS AND NOTING NONE WERE AVAILABLE, I RECEIVED NOTICE FROM MY STATE DMV TO HAVE THE AIR BAGS REPLACED. I CALLED FORD TO SETUP AN APPOINTMENT AND THEY DON'T HAVE ANYTIME TO DO THE WORK UNTIL 1 OCTOBER. I CONSIDER THE YEARS OF WAIT AND THEN REQUESTING AN ADDITIONAL 6 WEEKS NOTICE TO MAKE THE REPLACEMENT UNREASONABLE.

CO., I HAVE TAKEN THE CAR IN, THEY WANT ME TO SIGN A WAIVER THATS SAYS, THERE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGE WHILE THE CAR IS IN THERE POSSION.THE LETTER FROM FORD SAYS WE WILL BE GIVEN A LONER CAR TO USE, THE LOCAL DEALER SAYS NO !. TAKATA RECALL THE REPLACEMENT R- SIDE AIR BAG WAS REPLACED AFTER 1 YEAR RECALL WAITING. NOW THE INSTALLED AIRBAG SHOWS YELLOW FOAM TYPE COMING OUT FROM ACCROSS THE TOP OF THE AIR BAG ON THE DASH BOARD. NOTIFIED COCCIA FORD- THEY SAID DRIVE IT IN TO BE CHECKED ON MONDAY MAY 20 2019-SAID-OK TO DRIVE IT.
TAKATA RECALL I HAD MADE AN APPOINTMENT FOR 3/28/19 WE HAD AN ACCIDENT ON 3/26/19 A CAR HIT US AT A RED LIGHT TOTALED THE CAR THE AIRBAG HIT ME IN THE CHEST BRUISES AND CUTS . I WAS THE PASSENGER MY HUSBAND THE DRIVER HE LACERATIONS MOSTLY . I ALSO HAD BROKEN ANKLE ON THE RIGHT FOOT AND A SPRAIN ON THE LEFT. THE CAR WAS TOTALED. CAR WAS IN MOTION.
