The contact owns a 2009 Ford Fusion. The contact stated while driving at various speeds, the ABS light would randomly illuminate and turn off and on. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who diagnosed that the ABS hydraulic control unit was faulty and needed to be replaced. The contact stated that the vehicle was previously serviced under the NHTSA Campaign Number 19V904000 (Service Brakes, Hydraulic) and the brake fluid was flushed but the vehicle continued to experience the failure listed in the recall. The local dealer and manufacturer were notified of the failure, but no assistance was offered. The failure mileage was 102,700.

I WAS CONTACTED BY MAIL TO TELL ME THERE WAS A RECALL ON MY AIR BAG IN MARCH 2017. THE LETTER STATED THERE IS A CHANCE OF METAL SHARDS DEPLOYING WITH THE AIRBAG. I HAVE CHILDREN THAT RIDE IN MY VEHICLE EVERYDAY. IF THIS COULD BE SOLVED IN A TIMELY MANOR THAT WOULD BE GREAT!

I WAS DRIVING AS NORMAL SLOWING TO CROSS RAILROAD TRACKS, DOING THIS CAUSED THE ABS TO ENGAGE BRIEFLY. BRAKING EACH TIME AFTERWARDS THE PEDAL WOULD GO ALMOST COMPLETELY TO THE FLOOR BEFORE STOPPING. AFTER RESEARCHING IM CONFIDENT THAT IT'S A STUCK VALVE IN THE ABS MODULE.
I RECEIVED A LETTER STATING THAT THERE WAS A RECALL ON MY CAR DUE TO THE PASSENGER AIR BAG BUT THE PARTS TO REPLACE IT ARE NOT IN, I WANT TO DISABLE THE AIR BAG TO AVOID POSSIBLE INJURY UNTIL IT CAN BE FIXED BUT THE DEALERSHIP WILL NOT DO THIS UNTIL THE COMPANY WILL AUTHORIZE IT. THE RECALL DESCRIBES PERSONAL INJURY OR POSSIBLE DEATH AS A RESULT OF THE DEFECT. I DO NOT WANT TO DRIVE MY CAR AND IF I AM INJURED OR DIE AS A RESULT OF THIS....MY FAMILY WILL SUE THE HECK OUT OF THE COMPANY AND THE AGENCY OVERSEEING THE INDUSTRY. JUST GIVE DEALERSHIPS THE PERMISSION TO DEACTIVATE THE PASSENGER SIDE AIR BAGS SO WE DON'T HAVE TO RIDE AROUND WITH MINIATURE IEDS IN OUR DASHBOARDS OR COMPENSATE US FOR RENTAL CARS.

FORD DOES NOT HAVE REPLACEMENTS AND AIR BAG IS PARTIALLY COMING OUT OF PASSENGER SIDE DASH.
I HAVE EXPERIENCE A SOFT BRAKE PEDAL DURING/AFTER GOING OVER A BUMP, AND ITS OCCURS RANDOMLY AND HAS HAPPEN TO ME A FEW TIMES. I HAVE HAD NUMEROUS COMPONENTS REPLACED AND EVEN AFTER TAKING TO THE DEALER AND HAVING THE BRAKE LINE GO THROUGH A BLEEDING THE ISSUE DID NOT RESOLVE. IT IS VERY CLEAR IN A YOUTUBE HTTPS://WWW.YOUTUBE.COM/WATCH?V=0R46_UNYYK8 VIDEO ONLINE THAT THE ISSUE IS THE HCU AND DESPITE MY EFFORTS IN DIRECTING ATTENTION TO THIS VIDEO AND FINDINGS, I HAVE BEEN CONSTANTLY INSTRUCTED TO OPEN A COMPLAINT. I FINALLY LET THE DEALER DO EXTENSIVE EXAMINATION AND REPLACING ULTIMATELY FOR THEM TO REPLACE THE HCU AND CORRECT THE PROBLEM. COMPONENTS THAT HAVE SIMILAR SYMPTOMS ARE MASTER CYLINDER AND BOOSTER CAUSING LOSS OF PRESSURE IN THE PEDAL. THESE ARE NOT THE ISSUE... I HAVE ALSO HAD AN ACCIDENT WHERE A PERSON RAN THE RED LIGHT AND I DID NOT HAVE PEDAL TO COME TO A SUDDEN STOP. THIS NEED TO BE ADDRESSED BEFORE SOMEONE GETS KILLED.
ON NUMEROUS OCCASIONS, THE BREAKS HAVE LOST PRESSURE AFTER HAVING ENGAGED IN A STOP THAT MAY HAVE ENGAGED THE ABS. HAVE TO BLEED THE BREAKS AFTER TO RESTORE PRESSURE. VERY HAZARDOUS

TAMARA RECALL. I RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE IN THE MAIL MARCH 2017 TELLING ME OF THE AIRBAG RECALL. THAT I WOULD BE NOTIFIED BY FORD MOTOR COMPANY VIA MAIL WHEN PARTS BECOME AVAILABLE. I CALLED MY LOCAL FORD TWICE. ONCE IN MAY AND THEN AGAIN IN AUGUST. BOTH TIMES THEY INFORMED ME THAT THE PARTS WERE STILL NOT AVAILABLE. I STILL HAVE NOT BEEN NOTIFIED AND MY CAR ISN'T FIXED.

CONTACTED DEALERSHIP, THEY HAVE NO EXPECTED DATE FOR REMEDY AND HAVE RECEIVED NO GUIDANCE FROM FORD MANUFACTURER TO DATE. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE. FORD IS SUPPOSED TO BE WORKING ON SUPPLIER FOR THIS RECALL, YET SEEMS TO BE DOING NOTHING. THE NHTSA ALSO HAS NOT INITIATED INQUIRY AS TO WHY FORD HAS NOT YET STARTED TO WORK ON THIS RECALL - ALSO UNACCEPTABLE. THIS IS A SERIOUS RECALL, I WISH SOMEONE WOULD MAKE FORD ACT. NOW RECEIVING BANKRUPTCY NOTICES FROM TAKATA INFORMING ME THAT I MAY NOT HAVE ANY REMEDY AFTER ALL. SOMEONE NEEDS TO MAKE FORD STEP UP OR CREATE AN EXCEPTION FOR VEHICLE OWNERS TO HAVE AIRBAG SWITCH INSTALLED ON THEIR VEHICLE. IF THIS IS A RECALL AND THEY CAN'T HELP WITH IT, I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHAT KIND OF COMPANY THIS IS. WE HAVE ALWAYS PURCHASED FROM FORD BUT THIS IS A SERIOUS RECALL?

I FEEL THEY ARE NOT LOOKING FOR REPLACEMENT PASSENGER AIR BAGS DUE TO THE YEAR OF THIS VEHICLE. SOMEONE NEEDS TO LIGHT A FIRE UNDER THEM TO GET THEM TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY AND RESOLVE THIS ISSUE.

TAKATA RECALL - I RECEIVED NOTICE THAT MY CAR HAD A RECALL BECAUSE OF FAULTY AIR BAGS. I'VE TAKEN IT TO THE LOCAL DEALERSHIP IN STATESVILLE, BUT THEY TELL ME THEY DO NOT HAVE THE PARTS TO CORRECT THE PROBLEM. I'VE HAVE BEEN CHECKING BACK WITH THEM FOR MONTHS AND THEY STILL DO NO HAVE THE REPLACEMENT AIR BAGS. I HAVE BEEN DRIVING AN UNSAFE CARE FOR YEARS.
I WAS GIVEN BACK IN MARCH 2017 A PAPER STATING MY AIRBAGS ON MY 2009 FORD FUSION WERE DEFECTED. MONTHS LATER IN APPROXIMATELY OCTOBER 2017 I RECEIVED A POST CARD STATING TK HOLDINGS INC IS FILLING BANKRUPTCY, WHO MADE MY CARS AIRBAGS. THE POST CARD ALSO STATED ""IF YOUR VEHICLE CONTAINS A DEFECTIVE OR POTENTIALLY DEFECTIVE AIRBAG INFLATOR AND IS UNDER RECALL, CONTACT YOUR NEAREST DEALERSHIP IMMEDIATELY TO SCHEDULE A FREE REPAIR". WHEN I CALLED THE FORD DEALER THIS DECEMBER STATED THEY WOULD FIX IT WHEN THEY GET THE PARTS IN. I HAVE BEEN TOLD THIS SINCE I FIRST CALLED BACK IN MARCH TOO. IT IS A HUGE SAFETY RISK TO BE DRIVING MY CAR, IF THE AIRBAGS DO NOT WORK PROPERLY. THIS NEEDS FIXED AS SOON AS POSSIBLE, BUT FORD IS NOT HELPING AT ALL AND WILL NOT REPLACE THESE IN A TIMELY MANNER. THEN THIS YEAR IN 2018 I RECEIVED ANOTHER NOTICE FROM FORD, STATING THE I CAN CONTACT THE LOCAL FORD DEALERSHIP AND THEY WOULD PROVIDE ME WITH A RENTAL VEHICLE UNTIL THE PARTS COME IN FOR REPAIR. I THEN CALLED FORD OF MURFREESBORO IN MURFREESBORO, TN SO THAT THEY COULD PROVIDE ME WITH A RENTAL VEHICLE UNTIL THEY ARE ABLE TO REPLACE THE DEFECTIVE AIR BAGS. I WAS INSTRUCTED BY JONATHAN GREENE IN THEIR SHOP TO EMAIL HIM PHOTOS OF ALL 4 SIDES OF MY VEHICLE, ALONG WITH A PHOTO SHOT OF THE VIN PLATE AND PHOTO SHOT OF THE ODOMETER, WHICH I DID ON JUNE 12, 2018. I DID THAT AS INSTRUCTED, BUT I NEVER HEARD BACK FROM HIM. I THEN RE-SENT THE EMAIL TO HIM ON JULY 3, 2018, BUT AS OF THIS DATE, I HAVE HEARD NOTHING MORE FROM FORD OR FROM THE FORD OR MURFREESBORO DEALERSHIP. THEREFORE I STILL HAVE THE DEFECTIVE AIRBAGS IN MY VEHICLE, WAITING FOR A CRASH TO OCCUR. IT WOULD APPEAR THAT FORD WOULD WANT TO TAKE CARE OF THIS ASAP IN ORDER TO AVOID A CATASTROPHIC OCCURRENCE AND POSSIBLE SUIT, BUT NO, I HAVE HAD NO FURTHER RESPONSE AND NO INDICATION OF CONCERN ON THE PART OF FORD.
TAKATA RECALL. I RECEIVED MY FIRST RECALL NOTICE FROM FORD ON MARCH 2017. AS OF OCTOBER 2018, I STILL HAVE NOT HAD MY AIRBAGS REPLACED! I BOUGHT THE CAR FROM MYERS FORD AND HAVE CALLED THEM SEVERAL TIMES. THEY JUST SAY THAT THEY DON'T HAVE THEM AND I HAVE TO WAIT. I HAVE TO DRIVE MY CAR AND AM AFRAID EVERY TIME I GO OUT THAT EVEN SOME MINOR FENDER BENDER COULD KILL ME. PLEASE HELP. I FEEL LIKE I'M DRIVING A TIME BOMB.
TAKATA INFLATORS. MY ISSUE IS THE LENGTH OF TIME IN GETTING MY AIRBAGS REPLACED. THE RECALL WAS EFFECTIVE JANUARY 2017. I WAS NOTIFIED BY LETTER MARCH 2017. I HAVE CALLED MY LOCAL FORD DEALER SEVERAL TIMES, AND EACH TIME TOLD THE PARTS ARE NOT AVAILABLE. IT'S AN UNNECESSARY STRESS IN DRIVING THIS CAR KNOWING OF THE POTENTIAL ISSUES WITH THE AIRBAGS. I JUST WANT THE PARTS REPLACED. THAT'S ALL.
TAKATA RECALL- AIRBAG-UPDATE ON COMPLAINT # 11062997, FILED 1/16/18- AIRBAG REPLACEMENT IS STILL NOT AVAILABLE, LOCAL FORD COMPANY CAN NOT ORDER-I DO TRAVEL TO HUMID AREA (AL.), I HAVE BEEN AUTHORIZE TO RENT A VEHICLE, BUT MY PRIVATE CAR INSURANCE WILL NOT COVER, MECHANICAL BREAK DOWN, DIMINISH VALUE, AND LAY UP TIME, HENCE I WILL BE OUT A DAILY AMOUNT OF MONEY. THERE APPEARS NO END IN SITE , AND I DO NOT HAVE THE EXTRA MONEY FOR ADDED INSURANCE FOR A LENGTHY PERIOD I HAVE NOT EXPERIENCE A FAILURE-BUT FEEL UNSAFE USING MY CAR WITH ANYONE IN THE PASSENGER SEAT. .
"TAKATA RECALL" - PERSONAL VEHICLE IS NOT DISABLED BUT HOW CAN A TOP TIER VEHICLE MANUFACTURER BE ALLOWED TO DEFER REPAIRS REGARDING A "SAFETY" RECALL FOR SUCH A LONG PERIOD OF TIME? VERY FRUSTRATING AND DANGEROUS FOR ALL CONCERNED.
THERE HAS BEEN AN ONGOING RECALL FOR THE HYDRAULIC SYSTEM THAT CAUSES BRAKES TO NOT SLOW DOWN MY VEHICLE. I NOTICE THIS MORE WHEN IT RAINS OR IS ICY OUTSIDE. RECALL REMEDY WAS SUPPOSED TO BE READY FIRST QUARTER OF 2020; I HAVE GONE THROUGH MORE SETS OF BRAKES AND BRAKE PADS ON THIS VEHICLE THAN ANY OTHER VEHICLE I HAVE EVER OWNED. FORD HAS DONE NOTHING TO HELP REMEDY THIS AND NO FORD DEALERSHIP CAN GIVE A CLEAR ANSWER REGARDING WHEN THIS WILL BE AVAILABLE. ONGOING ISSUE FOR NEARLY 3 YEARS NOW.
I RECEIVED A RECALL FROM THE DEALER IN FEB 2017. I JUST CALLED AND CHECKED AND THEY ADMITTED TO THE RECALL BUT SAID THEY HAVE NO OTHER INFORMATION AT THIS TIME. AS OF TODAY 10/20/17, I DO NOT THINK THAT THIS IS A TIMELY CORRECTION FOR THE RECALL.
ABS SYSTEM BYPASS STICKS WHEN ENGAUGED WHICH CAUSES BRAKE PEDAL TO GO TO FLOOR AFTER USE. HAPPENS ALOT IN WINTER ON ICE.
WENT OVER A BUMP WHILE BRAKING AND THE BRAKE PEDAL BECAME SOFT AND WENT TO THE FLOOR. THIS HAD HAPPENED SIX TIMES PREVIOUSLY AND WHEN EVER I TURNED OFF THE VEHICLE IT RESET. IT DID NOT RESET AND THEY HAVE REMAINED SOFT AND GOING TO THE FLOOR TO STOP
WHILE DRIVING IN MY NEIGHBORHOOD I HIT A ROUGH SPOT IN THE ROAD AND MY BRAKE PEDAL WENT TO THE FLOOR I COULD BARELY STOP THE CAR.I TOOK THE CAR TO A LOCAL SHOP AND THEY REPLACED THE MASTER CYLINDER AND BRAKE BOOSTER.STILL NO BRAKES, THEY REPLACED THE ABS MODULE WITH A USED UNIT A NEW ONE IS 1300.00 DOLLARS AND THAT FIXED THE PROBLEM 1168.00 DOLLARS LATER. I CALLED FORD AND IF THEY COULD HELP ME WITH THE COST OF THIS AND THEY SAID IT WAS NOT A RECALL.I WILL NOT BE PURCHASING A FORD PRODUCT IN THE FUTURE.THE ABS MODULE IN THESE CARS ARE DEFECTIVE.

VERY SNOWY WHERE I LIVE, WHENEVER I HIT ICE AND BRAKE THE ABS WILL KICK ON AND OFF LIKE ITS SPOSSED TO. AFTER THE ABS DOES ITS JOB THE PEDAL GETS VERY SOFT FOR QUITE A LONG TIME. IT ISNT UNTIL THE NEXT DAY THE PEDAL IS FULLY HARD. ONE TIME THE ABS WAS WORKING THE PEDAL WENT ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR.
