TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 FORD FUSION. EVERY TIME THE VEHICLE WAS STARTED, THE "SERVICE POWER STEERING" INDICATOR WOULD ILLUMINATE ON THE MESSAGE CENTER. THE FAILURE OCCURRED SINCE OCTOBER OF 2017. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC AND IT WAS DETERMINED THAT THE POWER STEERING COLUMN HAD TO BE REPLACED. THE DEALER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 170,000.
GAS TANK IS LEAKING. PER FORD- A RECALL FIX WAS DONE IN 2016 ON THE PURGE VALVE, BUT NOT THE TANK ITSELF. THE TANK ITSELF IS LEAKING. PER FORD SINCE THE RECALL FIX WAS DONR IN SOME CAPACITY, IT DOESN'T QUALIFY FOR THE REMAINING PORTION BEING FIXED.
POWER STEERING WENT OUT WHILE DRIVING AND RECEIVED MESSAGE OF POWER STEERING ASSIST FAILURE WHICH WAS RECALLED FOR 2011 AND IS CURRENTLY BEING INVESTIGATED FOR 2010 AS IT IS THE SAME ISSUE. I WAS IN MOTION AND SUDDENLY HAD NO POWER STEERING CAR JERKED AND WAS HARD TO CONTROL LUCKILY I WAS NOT ON FREEWAY NOR WAS THERE A CAR NEXT TO ME, I WAS LUCKY VERY SCARY!
WHILE BACKING OUT OF PARKING LOT, POWER STEERING WENT OUT COMPLETELY AND A WARNING MESSAGE APPEARED STATING THERE WAS A POWER STEERING ASSIST FAULT WHILE BEEPING REPEATEDLY. I TURNED THE CAR OFF AND ON AGAIN AND IT RETURNED TO NORMAL. A WEEK LATER THE SAME THING HAPPENED WHEN BACKING OUT OF ANOTHER PARKING LOT. THIS TIME IT DIDN'T RETURN TO NORMAL AFTER TURNING THE CAR ON AND OFF. THE MESSAGE REMAINS AND THE CAR IS UNSAFE AND UNDRIVABLE. I NEED MY CAR AND DON'T HAVE THE $1500 TO REPAIR THIS SAFETY ISSUE. I KNOW IT'S BEEN UNDER INVESTIGATION BUT WHEN WILL IT FINALLY BE RECALLED? LUCKILY MY TEENAGERS WEREN'T DRIVING. PLEASE HELP!
LUGS NUTS WILL NOT COME OFF
THE METAL PART UNDER THE DRIVER SIDE SEAT BROKE CAUSING THE SEAT TO BE SOME DETACHED.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME AS THE RECALL NOTICE WAS RECEIVED OVER A YEAR AGO. THE DEALER (APPLE FORD LINCOLN, 8800 STANFORD BLVD, COLUMBIA, MD 21045) WAS CONTACTED AND CONFIRMED THAT THE PARTS WERE NOT AVAILABLE FOR THE RECALL REMEDY. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE CONTACT RECENTLY RECEIVED A POSTCARD FROM TK HOLDINGS, ALERTING HIM THAT THEY FILED FOR BANKRUPTCY. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
PASSENGER SIDE CALIPER LOCKED UP REPLACED IT 3 DAYS LATER IT LOCKED UP AGAIN THEN THE DRIVER SIDE LOCKED UP REPLACED IT LASTED A WEEK THEN IT LOCKED UP AGAIN GOT A DEFECT REPLACEMENT 3 DAYS LATER BOTH FRONT WHEELS LOCKED UP I ALLMOST GOT HIT FROM BEHIND HAD TO FORCE DRIVE THE CAR OFF THE ROAD WITH BOTH WHEELS SMOKING SO BAD IT MELTED THE CENTER CAPS OFF THE WHEEL THE STICK ON WEIGHTS FELL OFF
THE DRIVERS DOOR HANDLE WAS FIXED THAT WAS COVERED BY A RECALL. HOWEVER, NOW BOTH FRONT DOOR HANDLES ARE BROKEN AND THE WATERFORD, MICHIGAN DEALEERSHIP WHERE WE PURCHASED IT SAYS THE COST IS ABOUT $140.00 EACH TO FIX. HOW CAN A RECALL BE COMPLETED WHEN THE SAME PROBLEM KEEPS REOCCURING?

EVERY TIME I PUSH MY BRAKES TO STOP, MY BRAKES GOES ALL THE WAY DOWN TO THE FLOOR. I'VE REPLACED MY MASTER CYLINDER AND MY BRAKE BOOSTER BUT IT'S DONG THE SAME THING.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 FORD FUSION. WHILE DRIVING 20 MPH, THE STEERING WHEEL FAILED TO TURN LEFT OR RIGHT. THERE WAS ALSO AN ABNORMAL BEEPING NOISE AND THE POWER STEERING WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE LOCAL DEALER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 180,000.
TAKATA RECALL. I RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE IN MAY 2018. THE FORD RECALL NOTICE SAID THAT PARTS ARE ANTICIPATED TO BE AVAILABLE DURING THE SECOND AND THIRD QUARTERS OF 2018. FORD STATED THAT IT WOULD NOTIFY ME TO SCHEDULE THE AIRBAG RECALL REPAIR. NOTWITHSTANDING THIS REPRESENTATION, THE SECOND AND THIRD QUARTERS OF 2018 HAVE PASSED AND FORD HAS FAILED TO NOTIFY ME TO SCHEDULE THE REPAIR. MY 2010 FORD FUSION IS WORTHLESS FOR SALE OR TRADE-IN, EXCEPT FOR SALVAGE VALUE, AS LONG AS THE AIRBAGS HAVE NOT BEEN REPAIRED. ALSO, AND IMPORTANTLY, THERE IS A RISK OF INJURY IF THIS IS NOT REPAIRED. I REQUEST THAT NHTSA REQUIRE FORD TO FIX THIS VEHICLE WITHIN THE TIME PROMISED. THIS CONDUCT BY FORD IS NOT ACCEPTABLE.

TAKATA AIR BAGS RECALL: FORD RECALL# 18S01 & NHTSA# 18V046. I RECEIVED THE RECALL FROM JANUARY 2018. I KEEP CALLING FORD & AS OF TODAY THE PARTS ARE STILL NOT BEING MADE. MY QUESTION IS: WHAT TO DO BECAUSE MANY HAVE BEEN KILLED WITH THESE AIRBAGS EXPLODING. I SEE THERE IS A LAW SUIT GOING ON BETWEEN TAKATA & FORD BUT HOW DOES THIS HELP IN THE MEAN TIME? DEATH IS NOT A FORGIVING THING FROM A RECALL WHERE HALF THE WORK IS FAMILIAR WITH. ANY HELP TO BE HAD OTHER THAN HIRING AN ATTORNEY?
"TAKATA RECALL" I HAVE TRIED TO CONTACT THE LOCAL FORD DEALERSHIP TO FIX THE AIR BAG ISSUE BUT THEY HAVE TOLD ME MULTIPLE TIMES THAT THEY DO NOT HAVE THE PARTS FOR THE AIR BAG AVAILABLE AND I WOULD HAVE TO WAIT AND THEY WOULD NOTIFY ME WHEN THEY COULD FIX IT. THIS HAS BEEN TOLD TO ME SINCE MAY 2018. SO 5 MONTHS LATER AND IM STILL TOLD THE SAME THING. I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHY THE PARTS ARE STILL NOT AVAILABLE FOR MY VEHICLE. MY PASSENGER AIRBAG LIGHT WILL BE ON SAYING THAT THE AIR BAG IS OFF AND NOT EVEN WORKING SO ON TOP OF METAL FRAGMENTS THAT COULD POSSIBLY COME OUT IF THE AIR BAG DID WORK AND DEPLOY HALF THE TIME ITS NOT ON ANYWAY SO THEREFOR IS MORE RISK ADDED TO WHOMEVER IS IN MY PASSENGER SEAT AT THE TIME. FORD NEEDS TO RESOLVE THIS ISSUE ASAP AND STOP TELLING PEOPLE THEY DO NOT HAVE PARTS AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME WHICH I FIND HARD TO BELIEVE.

A CALL TO CUSTOMER SERVICE CLAIMS THAT YOU ARE ONLY AUTHORIZED TO RECEIVE A RENTAL CAR WHILE YOUR CAR IS AT THE DEALER ACTUALLY BEING REPAIRED. YOU DO NOT RECEIVE A RENTAL CAR WHILE "WHILE WAITING FOR PARTS TO BECOME AVAILABLE..." AS DESCRIBED IN THE LETTER.
APRIL 30, 2018 AFTER DRIVING FOR 3 HOURS ON THE HIGHWAY AT APPR. 75 TO 80 MPH THE DASH LIGHTS WENT HAYWIRE, FLICKERING AND THEN THE SERVICE ADVANCETRAC WARNING CAME D. I WAS ABLE TO DRIVE IT TO MY EXIT AND DRIVE SLOWLY. I COULD STOP AND GO VERY SLOW. AFTER A MILE OR 2 THE BATTER LIGHT AND ALL THE LIGHTS CAME ON AND THE BRAKE LIGHT WARNING LIGHT CAME ON. I COULD FEEL THE CAR LOOSING POWER SO I PULLED OVER. AT THIS TIME IT WAS ALSO CHIMING THAT THE CROSS FAULT SYSTEM WAS NOT AVAILABLE. AFTER TURNING THE CAR OFF, IT WOULD NOT START, THE RADIO WOULD PLAY, LIGHTS WOULD WORK AND HAZARDS WOULD WORK .THE STEERING WAS HARD TO TURN THE CAR WAS TOWED TO A MECHANIC SHOP AND I AM AWAITING A DIAGNOSIS. EARLIER ON APRIL 16, I RECEIVED A LETTER FROM FORD STATING THEY WOULD NO LONGER HOST THE VEHICLE HEALTH REPORT SYSTEM.
THE STEERING SYSTEM BECAME VERY HARD TO STEER. I TOOK IT TO THE DEALER AND HE SAID IT WAS THE ELECTRICAL STEERING SYSTEM . NO WARRANITY COVERAGE AAND IT WAS GOING TO COST $1500.00 .ALTHOUGH THIS HAS HAPPEN ALSO IN THE NEW MODELS AND FORD HAS REPAIRED THE PROBLEM AT NO COST!!!
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 FORD FUSION. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 70 MPH, THE DIFFERENT GEAR SELECTION OPTIONS STARTED TO ILLUMINATE ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. THE SERVICE ADVANCE TRACK WARNING INDICATOR ALSO ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE STARTED TO DECELERATE, ALL THE WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED, AND THE VEHICLE STALLED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DETERMINED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS STUCK IN FIFTH GEAR. THE MECHANIC RECOMMENDED THAT THE VEHICLE BE TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR FURTHER DIAGNOSTIC TESTING AND REPAIRS. THE DEALER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 180,000.
TAKATA RECALL. FORD HAS NOT PROVIDED ME WITH A REMEDY TO THIS AIRBAG ISSUE. I WOULD LIKE TO FEEL SAFE WHEN I DRIVE MY CAR. PLEASE HELP. MUCH APPRECIATED. JOSH.
ON AN INTERMITTENT BASIS AND AT SLOW SPEEDS, THE CAR LOOSES POWER STEERING. A DIAGNOSTIC APPEARS THAT SAYS "POWER STEERING ASSIST FAULT". ALTHOUGH THE CAR HAS MANUAL STEERING WHEN THIS HAPPENS, IT IS EXTREMELY DIFFICULT TO STEER. THE OTHER DAY I WAS TRYING TO PULL INTO A PARKING SPACE AND THIS HAPPENED. I ALMOST HIT THE ADJACENT CAR. IN ORDER TO GET POWER STEERING BACK, I NEED TO TURN OFF THE ENGINE AND RESTART. I AM CONCERNED THAT SOMEDAY I'LL GET INTO AN ACCIDENT IF THIS HAPPENS AT THE WRONG TIME. I NOTICE THAT THE POWER STEERING IS CUTTING OUT MORE FREQUENTLY AS TIME GOES ON. THIS FAULT HAS INCREASED IN FREQUENCY AND IS NOW HAPPENING AT LEAST ONCE EVERY TWO WEEKS, IN PARTICULAR WHEN I PULL OUT OF MY DRIVEWAY ONTO THE STREET.
SUDDEN LOSS OF POWER STEERING WHILE DRIVING. WARNING LIGHT CAME ON AT SAME TIME OF FAILURE. LUCKILY NEAR HOME AND DRIVING AT A SLOW RATE OF SPEED.
POWER STEERING FAILED AND WAS REPORTED EARLIER THIS YEAR. COMPLAINT NO. 11090283. SUBSEQUENT TO INITIATING THE COMPLAINT I DID HAVE THE POWER STEERING RACK REPLACED A THE FORD DEALERSHIP WHERE THE CAR WAS PURCHASED. TOTAL COST FOR REPLACEMENT WAS $1618.37. I CALLED FORD CORPORATE AND EXPLAINED THE SITUATION. I WAS ADVISED TO KEEP MY INVOICE AND WOULD BE REIMBURSED IF THERE IS A RECALL. WITH SO MANY COMPLAINTS OF THIS NATURE (STEERING FAILURE) WHEN WILL THE NHSTA DIRECT FORD TO INITIATE A RECALL?
WHEN DRIVING, PARTICULARLY IN STOP AND GO TRAFFIC, IT FEELS LIKE THE BRAKES FAIL. THE PEDAL GOES ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR AND THEN I HAVE TO PUMP THE BRAKE 2 OR 3 TIMES BEFORE I CAN GET THE CAR TO STOP. TWICE IT CAME REALLY CLOSE TO NOT STOPPING AT ALL. THE PADS ARE FINE, MASTER CYLINDER IS FINE AND THE BRAKE FLUID LEVEL IS FINE AS WELL. CAR HAS APPROXIMATELY 97,000 MILES ON IT AND THE ISSUE HAS BEEN HAPPENING INTERMITTENTLY FOR THE PAST 10 DAYS, WITH THE LAST FEW DAYS OCCURRING 3-4 TIMES PER DAY.
POWER STEERING STOPPED WORKING WHILE BACKING OUT OF DRIVEWAY. NOTICE LIT UP ON DASH STEERING ASSIST FAULT. TURNED VEHICLE OFF AND RESTARTED WHICH CLEARED MESSAGE AND POWER STEERING WOULD OPERATE. 2010 FUSION NOT INCLUDED IN RECALL FOR THIS FAILURE. WAS ADVISED BY FORD DEALER D THAT SINCE IT HAPPENED ONCE IT WOULD HAPPEN AGAIN. DO NOT FEEL SAFE DRIVING VEHICLE. WILL NEED TO HAVE REPAIR AT MY EXPENSE SINCE 2010 NOT COVERED BY RECALL.
TAKATA RECALL: FORD IS TELLING US WE HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL PARTS ARE AVAILABLE AND THEN THEY WILL CONTACT US. THAT WAS OVER 2 MONTHS AGO AND STILL NO CONTACT. I AM WORRIED ABOUT THE POSSIBILITY OF DANGEROUS SHRAPNEL SHOULD THE AIRBAG DEPLOY.
"TAKATA RECALL" (FORD 18S01/NHTSA 18V046) - IT IS WELL OVER THREE MONTHS SINCE THE RECALL WAS ANNOUNCED ON JANUARY 11, 2018. A REMEDY HAS NOT YET BEEN OFFERED BY FORD. ASSUMING THAT ONE IS FORTHCOMING, IT CAN NO LONGER BE CONSIDERED "TIMELY".
I HAVE RECEIVED A LETTER FROM FORD MOTOR INDICATING THAT THERE IS A DEFECTIVE AIRBAG IN MY VEHICLE AND THAT THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG DEFECT IS MOST CRITICAL AND URGENT. THE LETTER INDICATES THAT NO ONE SHOULD SIT IN THE PASSENGER SIDE FRONT SIDE OF MY 2010 FORD FUSION SE. THE LETTER INDICATES THAT AIRBAG REPLACEMENT PARTS ARE CURRENTLY NOT AVAILABLE AND THE LETTER DID NOT INDICATE A DATE AS TO WHEN PARTS WOULD BECOME AVAILABLE. I HAVE CALLED FORD IN SOUDERTON PA TO DISCUSS BUT HAVE NOT BEEN GIVEN A CALL BACK.
POWER STEERING ASSIST FAILURE. LOST STEERING AND CAR IS UNSAFE TO CONTINUE DRIVING
POWER STEERING SENSOR CAME ON. I TURNED OFF THE STABILITY ASSIST BUTTON AND DROVE HOME. AFTER PARKING AND ATTEMPTING TO DRIVE THE CAR AGAIN, THE STEERING FEELS LIKE IT IS RESISTING.
I HAVE A 2010 FOR FUSION. I HAVE HAD IT FOR 2 YEARS NOW AND IT RECENTLY STARTED LEAKING GAS A FEW WEEKS AGO. IT IS LEAKING FROM MY TANK BY THE REAR PASSENGER TIRE AND IT LEAKS MOSTLY WHEN I FILL UP OR PUT AT LEAST 3/4 TANK OF GAS IN THE CAR. I SEE THAT THERE WAS A RECALL ON MY CAR FOR THIS VERY ISSUE AND I AM TRYING TO SEE IF IT WERE TOO LATE FOR ME TO GET IT LOOKED AT AS A PART OF THE RECALL

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE RECALL REPAIR EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE AND WAS NOT ABLE TO CONFIRM WHEN THE PARTS WERE TO BECOME AVAILABLE. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
TAKATA RECALL......CALLING DEALERS TO OBTAIN AN APPROXIMATE TIMEFRAME FOR THE REPAIRS. NO ONE KNOWS. THIS YEAR? NEXT YEAR? TWO YEARS? FIVE YEARS? NO ANSWER. I SUSPECT THE RECALL IS A SCAM. WAIT LONG ENOUGH AND THE AFFECTED CARS WILL BE OFF THE ROAD BEFORE REPAIRS ARE MADE.
DURING A RIGHT TURN FROM A HIGHWAY FEEDER ROAD ONTO SIDE STREET, THE 2010 FORD FUSION I WAS DRIVING SUDDENLY LOST POWER STEERING AND FLASHED A SERVICE POWER STEERING NOW NOTIFICATION ON THE DASHBOARD INFORMATION PANEL. POWER STEERING HAS NOT RETURNED AFTER SEVERAL RESTARTS OF THE CAR. THE CAR WAS IMMEDIATELY TAKEN TO A NATIONWIDE CHAIN CAR SHOP AND DIAGNOSTIC SCAN WAS TAKEN. THE CODE THAT WAS GENERATED WAS POWER STEERING CONTROL MODULE (P07AE). THE CAR IS DIFFICULT TO STEER AND THEREFORE I CONSIDER IT A HIGH RISK TO DRIVE. THE REPAIR IS COST PROHIBITIVE DUE TO A COMPLEX DESIGN THAT INCORPORATES ADDITIONAL COMPONENTS INTO THE CONTROL MODULE THAT NEEDS TO BE REPLACED.
I WAS DRIVING MY CAR INTO MY DRIVEWAY WHEN A HAZARD LIGHT APPEARED. IT STATED THAT THE POWER STEERING SYSTEM NEEDED TO BE SERVICED IMMEDIATELY. THE PROBLEM IS THAT WHEN THE POWER STEERING GOES OUT, YOU HAVE NO CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE., I CANNOT TURN THE WHEEL EVEN AN INCH. IF I HAD BEEN ON A MAJOR HIGHWAY, IT WOULD HAVE CAUSED A MAJOR COLLISION. I CALLED MY LOCAL FORD DEALERSHIP AND THEY SAID THAT MY VIN DIDN'T MATCH THE RECALL. I WAS COMING TO A STOP WHEN THE LIGHT CAME ON.
POWER STEERING ASSIST FAULT OCCURRED WHILE DRIVING. TURNING OFF VEHICLE AND THEN BACK ON CLEARED FAULT. THE FAULT OCCURRED SEVERAL MORE TIMES OVER A 2 MONTH PERIOD. FAULT IS NOW BACK TO STAY. POWER STEERING IS PRETTY MUCH NONEXISTENT. HOPEFULLY I CAN DRIVE IT TO THE GARAGE FOR DIAGNOSIS.
POWER STEERING ASSIST FAIL - WHILE BACKING OUT OF MY PARKING SPACE AND ATTEMPTING TO TURN, WARNING BELLS STARTS GOING OFF IN MY 2010 FORD FUSION AND A WARNING WAS POSTED "POWER STEERING ASSIST FAIL." I AM A RETIRED 72 YR OLD WORKING NANNY WHO DRIVES CHILDREN AROUND. HAD THIS HAPPENED WHILE ON THE ROAD, FAILURE TO STEER MY CAR COULD BE CATASTROPHIC. MY CAR IS SITTING IN THE PARKING SPACE UNTIL I CAN GET A LOAN TO PAY THE EXPENSIVE REPAIR FOR THE STEERING ASSIST MECHANISM. FORD HAS ADVISED ME THAT MY YEAR 2010 IS NOT UNDER RECALL. I REQUIRE A TOW TO BRING MY CAR IN FOR DIAGNOSTICS AND REPAIR. SHOULD I NOT BE ABLE TO AFFORD THE REPAIR, I WILL HAVE TO TOW IT BACK OUT. MY CAR IS MY LIVELIHOOD AND I WISH I HAD RESEARCHED THIS CAR BEFORE I BOUGHT IT 7 MONTHS AGO.

POWER STEERING ASSIST FAULT. SUDDENLY LOST POWER STEERING WHILE DRIVING CAR. TURNED CAR OFF AND THEN BACK ON AND FAULT WENT AWAY AND REGAINED POWER STEERING FOR A FEW WEEKS. LOST POWER STEERING AGAIN WHILE DRIVING AND CAR VIOLENTLY JERKED TO THE RIGHT. AFTER TURNING IGNITION KEY ON AND OFF SEVERAL TIMES THE STEERING ASSIST FAULT WOULD NOT GO AWAY. DROVE CAR HOME WITHOUT POWER STEERING AND FAULT WILL NOT DISAPPEAR.
WHEN I STARTED MY 2010 FORD FUSION (71,000 MILES) AND PUT THE CAR IN REVERSE AND STARTED TO STEP ON THE GAS, I RECEIVED A POWER STEERING FAIL ALERT AND I COULD NOT DRIVE MY CAR. THIS HAS NOW HAPPENED TWICE WITHIN THE PAST TWO WEEKS. LUCKILY BOTH TIMES IT OCCURRED, I TURNED MY CAR OFF AND RESTARTED IT AND POWER STEERING CAME BACK. IT LOOKS LIKE THE 2011 AND 2012 MODELS WERE RECALLED BUT THE 2010 HAS NOT BEEN EVEN THOUGH IT CLEARLY SEEMS LIKE THE SAME ISSUE OCCURS WITH THE 2010 MODEL.
ABOUT A YEAR AGO WHEN I LEFT A MODELING EVENT I WENT TO THE BEAUTY SHOP AND WHEN I GOT READY TO LEAVE MY STEERING WHEEL WAS LOCKED I COULD TURN IT EITHER WAY SO I HAD IT TOWED TO THE CAR SHOP AND GOT IT REPLACED. JUST THIS MORNING I WAS AT THE GAS STATION AND WHEN I CAME OUT TO LEAVE THE STEERING WHEEL LOCKED UP AGAIN THIS REALLY IS BECOMING A MAJOR ISSUE IT'S BY THE GRACE OF GOD IT DIDN'T HAPPEN ON THE FREEWAY, BUT SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE ABOUT THIS PROBLEM.
INTERMITTENT LOSS OF POWER STEERING. FORD DEALER SAYS POWER STEERING GEAR ASSEMBLY NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. CONTROL PANEL SAYS "POWER STEERING ASSIST FAULT" PROBLEM OCCURS ON STARTUP. POWER STEERING INOPERATIVE. SO FAR, TURNING OFF AND RESTARTING HAS FIXED THE PROBLEM, BUT IT IS OCCURRING MORE AND MORE OFTEN.
