TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 FORD FUSION. WHILE TURNING THE VEHICLE, THE STEERING WHEEL SEIZED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE POWER STEERING ASSIST MOTOR NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 85,000.
TAKATA RECALL THE AIRBAG WARNING LIGHT CAME ON IN THE VEHICLE WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION. I TOOK IT TO GARAGE AND THEY REPLACE SOME PARTS WITH THE BUT WERE UNABLE TO FIX AIRBAG PROBLEM. I PAID $411.00 FOR THIS SERVICE. I CALLED FORD WHEN I RECEIVED THE RECALL NOTICE IN JULY 2016. THEY STATED THEY DID NOT HAVE THE PARTS AVAILABLE TO FIX THE RECALL. I TOOK IT TO THE SAME FORD DEALER AND THEY DID NOT HAVE REPLACEMENT PARTS TO FIX IT. THIS WAS IN NOVEMBER 2016. I WAS TOLD I WOULD HEAR FROM THE DEALER WHEN PARTS BECAME AVAILABLE. UNDER THE PASSENGER SEAT. THE LIGHT REMAINS ON. I HAVE NEVER HEARD FROM FORD DEALER AND MY CALL NOT RETURNED.
RECALL NOTICE JULY 2016 AND STILL NO PARTS TO FIX AT LOCAL DEALERSHLIP
FORD NOTIFIED ME OF A RECALL ON MY 2010 FORD FUSION CONCERNING RF AIRBAG IN JULY, 1916. HAVE HEARD NOTHING FROM THEM SINCE. LOCAL DEALER CANNOT HELP.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 FORD FUSION. WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS OVER A SMALL BUMP IN THE ROAD, THE BRAKE PEDAL EXTENDED TO THE FLOORBOARD WITHOUT WARNING. THE CONTACT PULLED OVER, SHUT OFF THE VEHICLE, PUMPED THE BRAKE PEDAL, AND RESTARTED THE VEHICLE. ONCE RESTARTED, THE BRAKE PEDAL RETURNED TO NORMAL. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO SAS TIRE AND AUTO (LOCATED AT 850 WEST BRISTOL, INDIANA, 46514), BUT THE FAILURE WAS UNABLE TO BE DUPLICATED AND AN ERROR CODE COULD NOT BE FOUND. THE CONTACT HAD THE BRAKES, ROTORS, AND PADS REPAIRED BY AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC (CHUCK'S AUTO GARAGE). THE FAILURE RECURRED TWO MORE TIMES WHILE DRIVING OVER A BUMP IN THE ROAD. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND PROVIDED CASE NUMBER: CAS-12555603. NO FURTHER ASSISTANCE WAS OFFERED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 100,000. UPDATED 08/24/17*LJ *CN

TAKATA RECALL, FORD NOTIFIED ME JUNE 1, 2016, BUT HAS STILL NOT PROVIDED A REPAIR AND IT IS MARCH 16, 2017. THIS IS MY PRIMARY FORM OF TRANSPORTATION. ADDITIONALLY, I AM MARRIED WITH TWO CHILDREN AND CANNOT IN GOOD CONSCIOUS HAVE SOMEONE RIDE IN THE PASSENGER SEAT IN THE EVENT THE AIR BAG WOULD DEPLOY.
TAKATA RECALL - I RECEIVED THE SAFETY RECALL IN JULY OF 2016 AND STILL HAVEN'T RECEIVED NOTICE THAT THERE IS A SOLUTION. I WOULD NOT CONSIDER THIS "IN A TIMELY MANNER". THIS A SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE AND I DON'T FEEL SAFE DRIVING IN THE CAR WITH MY FAMILY MEMBERS.

EVERY TIME I CALL ; ALL OF THE ANSWERS ARE THE SAME. PARTS ARE NOT AVAILABLE. I HAVE ALSO BEEN ADVISED TO PARK MY CAR AND NOT TO USE IT UNTIL SUCH PARTS ARE AVAILABLE. TODAY I MADE MY CALLS TO BOTH MY DEALERSHIP AND TO FORD. BOTH GAVE ME THE USUAL ANSWER. NO PARTS ARE AVAILABLE. I RECEIVED IN TODAY'S MAIL A NOTICE OF TAKATA'S BANKRUPTCY. WHAT ARE WE SUPPOSED TO DO? TAKATA RECALL IN JULY OF 2016 I RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE FROM FORD MOTOR COMPANY IN REGARDS TO A RECALL FOR DEFECTIVE TAKATA AIRBAGS. I HAVE SINCE HAD MY VEHICLE IN FOR SERVICE MANY TIMES AND EACH TIME HAVE ASKED ABOUT THE RECALL. EACH TIME I HAVE BEEN TOLD THAT THE PART IS NOT AVAILABLE. AS OF TODAY 10/26/2017 THE PART IS STILL NOT AVAILABLE.
TAKATA RECALL- RECEIVED A LETTER IN SUMMER 2016 ABOUT THE RECALL AND HAVE NOT HEARD ANYTHING SINCE. IT'S NOW BEEN A YEAR AND A HALF AND WHEN I CALL DEALERSHIPS, THEY SAY THEY STILL DON'T HAVE THE PARTS TO FIX IT!
TAKATA RECALL -- SINCE MID 2016 I HAVE RECEIVED NUMEROUS RECALL NOTIFICATIONS AND ALWAYS CHECK WITH FORD DEALER IMMEDIATELY AND AM ALWAYS TOLD THAT PARTS ARE NOT AVAILABLE AND THAT NO ONE KNOWS WHEN THEY WILL BE AVAILABLE. I MOST RECENTLY RECEIVED LEGAL NOTICE FROM TK HOLDINGS THAT I SHOULD TAKE MY VEHICLE TO DEALERSHIP IMMEDIATELY FOR FREE RECALL REPAIR AND THAT I MUST DO SO BEFORE 12/31/17. I CALLED LOCAL FORD DEALERSHIP TO MAKE APPOINTMENT FOR REPAIRS AND WAS TOLD THAT REPAIR PARTS ARE STILL BEING TESTED AND THAT NO ONE KNOWS WHEN THEY WILL BE AVAILABLE. PLEASE LET ME KNOW WHAT ACTION IS BEING TAKEN BY NHTSA TO PROTECT THE SAFETY OF OWNERS OF ALL VEHICLES AFFECTED BY THESE TAKATA AIRBAGS. IT IS HARD TO UNDERSTAND WHY FORD AND/OR TAKATA HAVE NOT BEEN FORCED TO MAKE REPAIRS. DOES ANYONE CARE ABOUT THE VEHICLE OWNERS THAT ARE STUCK WITH THESE SORRY AIRBAGS?
TAKATA RECALL. THIS RECALL TOOK EFFECT WELL OVER A YEAR AGO AND THERE IS STILL NO REMEDY FOR IT. WE CAN HARDLY USE THIS CAR BECAUSE WE FEEL UNSAFE HAVING ANYONE SIT IN THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT.
TAKATA RECALL I RECEIVED A LETTER DATE JULY 2016 TELLING ME THAT THE AIRBAG INFLATOR MAY RUPTURE IN THE EVENT OF A CRASH AND INJURE OR KILL ME. IT IS WELL OVER ONE YEAR SINCE I RECEIVED SUCH LETTER AND FORD HAS NOT TAKEN ANY ACTION TO KEEP ME SAFE.

FRONT SEAT PASSENGERS IN MY VEHICLE, WHICH AT TIMES INCLUDES MYSELF, CONTINUE TO RISK INJURY AND/OR THE POSSIBILITY OF DEATH. THE STRESS AND ANXIETY OF THIS CONTINUED LACK OF RESOLUTION OF THIS PROBLEM NEEDS TO END. I DO NOT FEEL MY VEHICLE IS SAFE.

I EVEN WROTE TO FORD ON 1/16/17, SAYING MY CAR WAS SITTING IN THE GARAGE ALL THIS TIME, I AM SCARED TO HAVE A PASSENGER IN THAT SEAT, HEARING ABOUT DEATHS AND INJURIES. I HAVE NO USE FROM MY CAR SINCE THAT TIME (THE BATTERY KEEPS DYING FROM MISUSE!) I ASKED FOR A LOANER CAR IN THE MEANTIME (AS A TOYOTA OWNER FRIEND OF MINE WAS GIVEN!) AND HAVE BEEN REFUSED. THEY WROTE TO SAY THAT I HAVE BEEN "PROVIDED A RESPONSE TO YOUR REQUEST". I HAVE GIVEN UP CALLING AND WRITING AS THERE IS NO SATISFACTION. NO CAR, NO LOANER CAR, AND NO NEWS OF A FIXED/NEW PASSENGER AIRBAG!!

TO DATE FORD MOTOR COMPANY HAS FAILED TO MAKE REPLACEMENT PARTS FOR TAKATA AIRBAGS AVAILABLE TO FORD DEALERS IN THE SAN DIEGO AREA. FORD MOTOR COMPANY HAS AN OBLIGATION TO PROVIDE REPLACEMENT AIRBAGS IN A TIMELY MANNER. THE FIRST RECALL NOTICE FOR THESE AIRBAGS WAS SENT OUT JULY 2016.

IT HAS BEEN ALMOST A YEAR AND A HALF AND I AM STILL WAITING. I CALLED AGAIN YESTERDAY AND RECEIVED THE SAME ANSWER. SAFETY IS MY PRIMARY CONCERN. I DON'T KNOW HOW THEY ARE ALLOWED TO DRAG THIS OUT THIS LONG, WHEN THIS COULD RESULT IN INJURIES OR EVEN DEATH. HOW CAN I GET THIS RESOLVED NOW?

THE CONTACT WAS NOT EXPERIENCING A FAILURE. VIN TOOL CONFIRMS PARTS NOT AVAILABLE.

TAKATA RECALL. FORD MOTOR RECALLED THE CAR IN JULY, 2016 AND HAS FAILED AND REFUSED TO FIX THE AIR BAG OR REPLACE THE CAR. I CANNOT ALLOW ANY PERSON TO BE IN THE CAR EXCEPT FOR ME, AS IT IS TOO DANGEROUS. FORD MOTOR HAS RECENTLY ISSUED A FOLLOW UP LETTER WITH FURTHER DELAYS TO FIXING MY CAR. FORD HAS DELIBERATELY DELAYED THE SOLUTION TO THE AIRBAG, IN ORDER TO FORCE PEOPLE LIKE ME TO SELL THE CAR OR USE IT AS A TRADE IN. IN ADDITION, WHILE OTHER MANUFACTURERS HAVE REPLACE THE FAULTY AIRBAG, FORD HAS NOT, AND I AM INFORMED THAT FORD MAY SEEK BE BE RELEASED IN THE TAKATA AIRBAG BANKRUPTCY.

IN DECEMBER 2017 I RECEIVED ANOTHER LETTER INFORMING ME PARTS MAY BE IN SPRING 2018. I WAS ALSO NOTIFIED NOT TO HAVE ANY ONE SIT IN FRONT SEAT. I RECENTLY CONTACTED A FORD DEALERSHIP ABOUT AVAILABILITY OF REPLACEMENT PARTS AND I WAS NOTIFIED THAT PARTS MAY NEVER COME IN. I INFORMED THE SERVICE WRITER THAT THIS MAKES THE CAR ALL MOST USELESS. THE REPLY WAS THAT THE WAY IT IS. I FEEL ALL FORD IS DOING IS DELAYING AND AVOIDING THE EXPENSE OF REPAIR. I HAVE FRIENDS WHO DRIVE HONDA'S THAT HAVE BEEN REPAIRED FOR MONTHS.

I HAVE BEEN IN A ACCIDENT WHERE I HAVE BEEN A PASSENGER AND A THE MUSTANG WAS TOTALED BY A DODGE RAM TRUCK RUNNING THE RED LIGHT. IT IS DISTURBING TO ME THAT I'M DRIVING A 2010 FORD FUSION WITH A RECALL AND THE PART IS STILL NOT AVAILABLE. IT IS AN ACCIDENT WAITING TO HAPPEN.
