I WAS DRIVING THE CAR AND THE ADVANCED TRAC LIGHT CAME ON. SERVICE POWER STEERING NOW. I WAS IN THE CAR WITH MY 9 YEAR OLD SON AND I AM 5 MONTHS PREGNANT.THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS AND NEED TO BE FIXED THIS IS MY ONLY TRANSPORTATION.
AS I WAS DRIVING THE POWER STEERING STOPPED WORKIN. AND COULDNT TURN THE WHEEL. WHILE I HAD MY CHILDREN IN THE CAR. ALSO THE GAS TANK WHENEVER I GET GAS THE CAR SHAKES & WHEN I TURN THE CAR ON AFTER THE GAS IS DONE, THE CAR STALLS & HAVE TO RESTART IT TWICE BEFORE IT STAYS ON
PULLED VEHICLE INTO MY DRIVEWAY SUNDAY AFTERNOON AFTER NORMAL OPERATION AND TURNED IT OFF. AFTER 5 MINUTES WENT TO MOVE VEHICLE. TURNED KEY TO START AND POWER STEERING ASSIST FAULT MESSAGE APPEARED. STEERING WHEEL WAS VERY HARD TO TURN SO VEHICLE WASN'T MOVED. TRIED TO MOVE AGAIN 15 MINUTES LATER BUT STILL NO POWER STEERING. VEHICLE STAYED IN DRIVEWAY OVERNIGHT. MONDAY MORNING, VEHICLE WAS STARTED AND STEERING WAS BACK TO NORMAL. AFTER 3 WEEKS, PROBLEM HAS NOT HAPPENED AGAIN. CONTACTED A FORD DEALER AND 2 PRIVATE SHOPS, ALL TELL ME THERE IS NO CODE RETAINED FOR THIS ISSUE AND IT WOULD HAVE TO BE DIAGNOSED WITH THE PROBLEM ACTUALLY HAPPENING. ALSO CONTACTED FORD CUSTOMER SERVICE. THE REP SAID SHE WOULD RECORD MY INFO BUT COULD NOT PROVIDE TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 FORD FUSION. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 15 MPH, THE STEERING WHEEL SEIZED WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS DRIVEN TO THE CONTACT'S RESIDENCE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED NOR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 FORD FUSION. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE RECALL NOTICE FOR THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM WAS RECEIVED IN NOVEMBER OF 2015. AFTER CONTACTING THE DEALER AND THE MANUFACTURER ON MULTIPLE OCCASIONS, THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE PARTS NEEDED TO REPAIR THE VEHICLE WERE STILL NOT AVAILABLE AND NO ESTIMATED TIME FOR RECEIVING THE PARTS COULD BE GIVEN. THE NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER WAS UNKNOWN. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. UPDATED 05/25/16*LJ *TR
WHEN APPLYING THE BRAKES AT DRIVING SPEED (30 MPH) ON A CITY STREET THE BRAKE PEDAL SUDDENLY WENT TO THE FLOOR WITH NO RESISTANCE AND NO BRAKING ACTION. THE CAR WAS STOPPED USING THE EMERGENCY HAND BRAKE. AFTER TURNING THE CAR OFF AND RESTARTING IT, THE BRAKES WORKED NORMALLY. CAR WAS TOWED TO A FORD DEALER FOR SERVICE. THE COMPUTER BRAKE CONTROL UNIT WAS REPLACED BY THE DEALER AFTER REVIEWING THE CODES. PART NUMBER IS BE5Z-2C219. COST WAS $1120. FORD MOCO SAYS THEY WILL NOT CONTRIBUTE ANYTHING TO COST REDUCTION AND THEY DON'T CONSIDER IT ENOUGH OF A SAFETY PROBLEM TO USE ANY CUSTOMER SAT PROGRAM TO HELP WITH THE COST. THEY ALSO SAY NO RECALL IS APPLICABLE. CAR MILEAGE IS 55,763. 2010 FORD FUSION HYBRID WHICH HAS ALWAYS BEEN DEALER SERVICES AT REGULAR INTERVALS.
APPROXIMATELY TWO YEARS AGO, I HAD AN ISSUE WITH THE VEHICLE'S THROTTLE BODY. AS ACCELERATING AND DRIVING AT A CONSTANT SPEED, THE CAR WOULD STALL AND SHUT DOWN AND THE 'WRENCH' LIGHT WOULD COME ON WITH NO TYPE OF WARNING. I HAD THE VEHICLE FIXED AT A FORD MOTOR COMPANY DEALERSHIP. I AM NOW EXPERIENCING THE EXACT SAME ISSUE.
ENGINE WOULD DROP TO IDLE AND NOT RESPOND TO ACCELERATOR PEDAL, ONLY RESTARTING WOULD SOLVE. ESCALATED TO ENGINE COMPLETELY DYING REQUIRING A RESTART OFTEN AT HIGHWAY SPEED. ON 10/20 DRIVING TO AIRPORT IN CHICAGO, CAR DIED A TOTAL OF 7 TIMES. CALLED FORD CORPORATE REGARDING THE ETB CUSTOMER SATISFACTION PROGRAM, FOUND MY VEHICLE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED. ON 10/22 TOOK TO FORD DEALER AND THE ETB WAS REPLACED AT CUSTOMER EXPENSE. WAS TOLD THAT THE CODES WERE EXACTLY THE SAME AS THE ETB'S BEING REPLACED UNDER THE CUSTOMER SATISFACTION PROGRAM. CALLED FORD CORPORATE AGAIN, BUT WOULD NOT INCLUDED IN THE PROGRAM. A SERIOUS POTENTIALLY LIFE-THREATENING ISSUE WHEN A VEHICLE STALLS IN HEAVY TRAFFIC. SUGGEST THAT ALL OF THE 2010 FORD FUSIONS SHOULD BE INCLUDED IN THE SATISFACTION PROGRAM OR THE PROGRAM SHOULD BE UPGRADED TO A RECALL PROGRAM.
I SMELLED GASOLINE EVERY TIME I FILLED UP. I TOOK THE CAR TO A FORD DEALER AND THEY FOUND THE GAS TANK HAD A CRACK ON THE TOP. IT WAS ACTUALLY DRIPPING GAS NEAR THE EXHAUST SYSTEM. DEALER SAID TANK NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. QUOTED A PRICE OF $1200 JUST FOR THE TANK. DEALER FOUND A USED TANK. TOTAL COST WAS $638. DEALER REFUSED TO CALL FORD TO SEE IF THEY WOULD COVER PART OF THE COST. CAR HAD 93,000 MILES ON IT.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 FORD FUSION. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE DRIVER SIDE DOOR DID NOT OPEN FROM INSIDE THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE INSIDE LINING FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 100,000.
AS WE DROVE OVER THE OVERPASS, SLOWING TO COME TO A STOP SIGN ONTO THE FOUR LANE INTO TOWN, OUR CAR SUDDENLY STOPPED IN THE DRIVING LANE. WE WERE LATER TOLD THE PTU ASSEMBLY LOCKED UP INTERNALLY, MAKING THE CAR IMMEDIATELY UNMOVABLE FORWARD NOR BACKWARDS UNTIL REPLACED. NO HISTORY NOR SYMPTOMS OF ISSUES BEFORE THIS. IT WOULD HAVE CONTRIBUTED TO A LARGE ACCIDENT IN THE HEAVY TRAFFIC, IF IT HAD OCCURRED EARLIER IN THE DAY AS IT COULD NOT BE MOVED, NOR HAD WE ANY SIGNS AT THE TIME. WE WERE STUCK IN DRIVING LANE LATE IN THE EVENING, WAITING ON A TOW TRUCK TO HAUL IT TO DEALERSHIP. THEY REPLACED IT, AT OUR EXPENSE, WITH THE MECHANIC, NOTING HE HAD THE SAME ISSUE WITH THE SAME MAKE AND MODEL OF HIS OWN. WE WERE ALSO TOLD THERE WAS NO RECALL NOR EGRESS FOR US TO RESOLVE THIS ANY OTHER WAY. WE HAVE THE PAYMENT AND SERVICE ORDER AVAILABLE FOR REVIEW. THIS IS QUITE DISTURBING, AS IT WAS OVER $1800 OUT OF POCKET FOR JUST THIS REPAIR, WHICH I FOUND WAS A MORE COMMON ISSUE THAN WAS PREVIOUSLY THOUGHT. I FOUND OUR THAT THERE WAS A RECALL, BUT FOR ONLY CERTAIN PLANTS, ALTHOUGH OTHERS NOTED THE SAME ISSUES AS WELL. TO KNOW THAT THERE IS A RECALL FOR THIS SAME ISSUE, BUT ONLY IN CERTAIN PLANTS IS A CONCERN, AS THEY KNOW OF THE ISSUE AND HAZARDS OF IT, BUT DID NOT FEEL IT PERTINENT TO RELAY THIS TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC WHO USED THEIR PRODUCT, AT THEIR EXPENSE, NOT KNOWING OF RISKS. I JUST FOUND OUT OF THIS AVENUE TODAY TO HELP OTHERS KNOW OF THIS AND TAKE ACTION TO AVOID FURTHER ISSUES AND SAFETY RISKS.
SHORTLY AFTER BEGINNING MY DRIVE, MY CAR ALERTED ME TO "SERVICE ADVANCETRAC SOON" AND "SERVICE POWER STEERING SOON". THE WHEEL TURNED AS IT DID NORMALLY SO I DIDN'T THINK I HAD ANYTHING TO WORRY ABOUT. I GOT TO A STOPLIGHT A LITTLE FURTHER DOWN THE ROAD AND THOUGHT PERHAPS A RESET WOULD CLEAR THE ERROR. I PUT MY CAR IN PARK, AND SHUT OFF THE ENGINE. WHEN I STARTED IT UP AGAIN, I GOT A MUCH MORE URGENT SOUNDING DING AND MY SCREEN SAID "SERVICE POWER STEERING NOW". IT WAS AT THAT POINT THAT I HAD NO POWER STEERING IN THE CAR. IT WAS SO DIFFICULT TO STEER THAT I WAS WORRIED I MIGHT BREAK SOMETHING, FEELING LIKE AT ANY MOMENT THE STEERING WHEEL WAS GOING TO SNAP. UPON READING THE COMPLAINTS AND RECALLS OF OTHER FORD FUSIONS, I AM SHOCKED THAT THE 2010 MODEL ISN'T INCLUDED IN THE RECALL. THE ONLY FIX FOR THIS ISSUE ACCORDING TO FORD IS TO REPLACE THE RACK AND PINION ASSEMBLY. MY SUSPISION IS THAT THE ISSUE IS WITH A SENSOR THAT BECAME FAULTY, AND THE SYSTEM TURNED OFF POWER STEERING TO PROTECT ITSELF. HOWEVER I HAVE HEARD THAT BECAUSE THE SENSOR DOES NOT HAVE A PART NUMBER, IT CANNOT BE SOLD SEPARATELY FROM THE RACK AND PINION ASSEMBLY. I UNDERSTAND COMPONENTS BREAK AND WEAR OUT, ESPECIALLY IN CARS, BUT I THINK IT'S INSANE TO HAVE TO REPLACE A $1300 PART WHEN A $50 COMPONENT FAILS.
WHILE MY HUSBAND WAS DRIVING MY CAR, HE LOST ALL POWER STEERING ABILITY AND THE ADVANCE TRAC AND SERVICE POWER STEERING LIGHT CAME ON. IT IS REQUIRING EXTRA ABILITY TO TURN VEHICLE. I DO NOT UNDERSTAND WHY THIS MODEL IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL OF 15V340000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 FORD FUSION. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING 45 MPH, THE STEERING WHEEL BECAME DIFFICULT TO MANEUVER AND THE POWER STEERING FAILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE POWER STEERING RACK AND PINION NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 100,000.
I HAVE HAD THE POWER STEERING ASSIST FAULT LIGHT COME ON 4 TIMES IN THE PASSED YEAR AND A HALF. WHEN I WENT TO FORD THEY SAID THEY COULD NOT HELP ME UNLESS THE LIGHT WAS ON. SO FINALLY THE LIGHT STAYS ON AND SUDDENLY IT IS NOT COVERED BY A WARRANTY AND THE REPAIR IS CLOSE TO $2000, HOW CONVENIENT IS THAT. YOU KNOW THEY KNEW THAT EVIDENTLY THE SYSTEM WOULD FAIL. I COULDN'T EVEN TURN THE WHEEL AND WHEN I CALLED THEM TO EXPLAIN THAT THEY TOLD ME TO DRIVE SAFELY. THIS IS A PROBLEM THAT NEEDS TO BE RECALLED.IF IT WAS RECALLED FOR OTHER YEARS WHY NOT 2010?
I HAVE A 2010 FORD FUSION SEL AWD V6 WHICH I PURCHASED ABOUT 2 YEARS AGO. I HAVE STARTED NOTICING SHIFTING PROBLEMS WITH MY CAR. IT FIRST STARTED ABOUT 3 WEEKS AGO NOW. THE CAR ACTED LIKE IT COULDN'T FIGURE OUT WHAT GEAR TO GO IN, WHILE MAKING A LEFT TURN THROUGH TRAFFIC IT HESITATED A LOT & THEN FIGURED OUT WHAT GEAR TO GET INTO, BARELY AVOIDING AN ACCIDENT. I WAS THEN COMING BACK FROM THE AIRPORT WITH MY SISTER & IT CLAMMED DOWN IN GEARS AS WE STARTED TO STOP & THEN LUNGED FORWARD 2 TIMES ALMOST HITTING THE CAR IN FRONT OF ME. I HAVE TAKEN IT INTO THE SHOP & THEY SAID THEY NEEDED TO REFLASH THE PCM, THIS WAS DONE THE DAY BEFORE YESTERDAY. I GOT IT BACK YESTERDAY & IT STARTED DOING THE EXACT SAME THINGS. I HAVE SEEN THAT A RECALL NOTICE WAS SENT OUT TO SOME PEOPLE YEARS AGO WITH A TIME LIMIT ON GETTING THIS FIXED. RECALL NOTICE 10B15. IT SAID IT ENDED IN APRIL OF 2011. CAN THR BE A TIME LIMIT ON THIS SORT OF THING? SOME PEOPLE DON'T HAVE $1,000'S OF DOLLARS TO FIX CARS. WHAT CAN SOMEONE DO TO CORRECT THIS ISSUE.
NO ONE CAN FIX BRAKES.
WHILE STOPPED AT RED LIGHT AND STOP SIGNS ATTEMPTING TO TURN, THE VEHICLE WOULD REV ITSELF CORRESPONDING WITH A RAPID INCREASE/DECREASE IN RPM. UPON ACCELERATION THE CAR WOULD STUTTER AND THE ENGINE TURNED OFF WHILE ALLOWING ME TO ENTER THE INTERSECTION RESULTING IN VERY CLOSE CALLS. THIS HAS BEEN RECURRING WITH MORE FREQUENCY.
I WAS AFFECTED BY THE THROTTLE BODY THING. I GOT IT FIXED AT JIM CLICK FORD IN TUCSON. I'VE BEEN EXPERIENCING HEAVY ACCELERATION AND THROTTLE RESPONSE PROBLEMS SINCE. I HAD MY TRAMS FLUID LEAK FROM THE CAP. NO LEAKS IN ANY OF MY HOSES. MY RPMS STAY BETWEEN 1700-2700 REGARDLESS OF WHAT SPEED I'M GOING. I TOOK IT BACK TO JIM CLICK, EVEN THO SHOWING NO ERRORS. AND IT'S ALWAYS WHINING, MY ENGINE. I DON'T KNOW WHAT'S CAUSING THIS, BUT I DEFINITELY TAKE CARE OF MY CAR. AND FUSIONS BEEN HAVING A LOT OF PROBLEMS. AND PEOPLE TELL MY MY CAR MAKES REALLY LOUD NOISE WHEN TURNING. I'VE NEVER HEARD IT OR FELT IT, BUT I'VE BEEN TOLD BY MULTIPLE PEOPLE.
THIS HAS HAPPENED SPORADICALLY SINCE JULY 2015. THERE'S NO WARNING, NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHT. YOU'RE DRIVING THE CAR AND ALL THE SUDDEN THE POWER TO THE ENGINE IS CUT. IT MAINTAINS A VERY ROUGH IDLE AS YOU ATTEMPT TO MANEUVER TO A SHOULDER IN TRAFFIC AND ONCE STOPPED THE CAR SHAKES VIOLENTLY. WHEN THIS ISSUE OCCURS THE "WRENCH" ON THE DASH ELECTRONICS ILLUMINATES. ONCE YOU SHUT THE CAR OFF AND RESTART THE CAR, IT SOMETIMES RUNS FINE FOR A WHILE, OTHER TIMES THIS ISSUE OCCURS AGAIN. WE'VE HAD THE CAR INTO THE SHOP TWICE, BUT BECAUSE THERE'S NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHT SOURCING THE PROBLEM IS INCREDIBLY HARD. THIS IS EXTREMELY UNSAFE, ESPECIALLY IF IT OCCURS ON THE INTERSTATE OR OTHER CONGESTED AREAS. FORD NEEDS TO BE HELD LIABLE FOR SUCH AND SHOULD ISSUE A MANDATORY RECALL. I ATTACHED A PICTURE OF NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS ABOUT THE SAME ISSUE AND SOME SAY IT'S THE THROTTLE BODIES WHICH HAD AN EXTENDED WARRANTY FOR A LITTLE BIT, BUT ONE SHOULD NOT HAVE TO HAVE THIS OCCUR BEFORE GETTING IT FIXED.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 FORD FUSION. WHILE DRIVING 60 MPH, THE POWER STEERING FAILED AND THE VEHICLE JERKED. THE VEHICLE WAS RESTARTED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE ELECTRONIC STEERING GEAR ASSEMBLY NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 130,000.
I WAS DRIVING HOME WITH MY 12 YEAR OLD SON DOWN THE POST ROAD IN ORANGE CT AND ALL OF A SUDDEN, THE MALFUCTION INDICATOR LIGHT FOR TRACTION CONTROL ILLUMINATES AND THEN I GET A MESSAGE TO SERVICE POWER STEERING NOW. WITHOUT WARNING,IN AN INSTANT, I LOST THE ABILITY TO STEER MY CAR SMOOTHLY AND SAFELY AS THE STEERING WHEEL BECAME EXTREMELY TIGHT. I DROVE ABOUT A MILE UNTIL I COULD PULL MY CAR OVER SAFELY AND THOUGHT THAT IT WAS JUST SOMETHING AS SIMPLE AS RESETTING MY CAR SO I TURNED THE CAR OFF AND RESTARTED IT, BUT BY THIS TIME, THE STEERING WHEEL WAS EVEN TIGHTER THAN BEFORE AND I COULD BARELY TURN THE WHEEL. I PRAYED AND DID MY BEST TO MANEUVER MY CAR SO THAT I WOULDN'T HIT ANYBODY ELSE, BUT IT WAS HARD TO EVEN DRIVE IN A STRAIGHT LINE PATTERN. THE TURNS I HAD TO MAKE TO DRIVE TO MY HOME WERE EXTREMELY WIDE AND UNSAFE. I'M UPSET WITH THIS AS I'VE DONE MY HOME WORK AND IT LOOKS LIKE THERE WAS AN INVESTIGATION REGARDING THIS SCENARIO BUT NOT AN ACTUAL RECALL. FORD ACKNOWLEDGES A SAFETY ISSUE, BUT APPERENTLY DOES NOTHING UNTIL SOMETHING HAPPENS. I LIVE IN A STATE THAT IS IN A RAINY SEASON AND SOON WINTER IF THIS HAD OF HAPPEN WITH SNOW ON THE GROUND...THIS WOULD HAVE BEEN BAD....VERY BAD.

THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER WHERE IT DISCOVERED THAT THE WHEEL STUDS OF THE ENTIRE VEHICLE WERE FRACTURED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 11V574000 (WHEELS). THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 92,000. UPDATED 02/12/16*LJ
I STARTED SMELLING GASOLINE EVERY TIME I WOULD GET OUT OF MY CAR OR WALK TOWARDS IT. I WAS UNDER THE IMPRESSION I HAD "SPILLED SOME". I PROCEEDED TO SMELL IT AND NOTICED IT WAS GASOLINE. SO I LOOKED UNDER MY CAR AND REALIZED THAT IT HAD A GAS LEAK. I TOOK MY CARD TO A FORD DEALERSHIP AND THE FOUND MY FUEL TANK SEAL HAS CRACKED. THIS PROBLEM NEEDS TO BE LOOKED INTO FOR THE SAFELY OF THE CONSUMER.
POWER STEERING WAS SUDDENLY LOST FIRST TIME IN OCTOBER OF 2015 ALMOST CAUSING ME TO RUN INTO A CURB. SECOND TIME IN NOVEMBER OF 2015 FIANCE WAS DRIVING AND THE POWER STEERING WAS SUDDENLY LOST POWER STEERING LIGHT CAME ON ONLY GIVING US ABOUT A FIVE MINUTE WARNING WHILE HE WAS DRIVING AND ALMOST RAN INTO ANOTHER VEHICLE. A FORD DEALERSHIP WANTED TO CHARGE ME OVER $2,000 TO REPLACE ENTIRE ELECTRONIC GEAR WHICH WAS NOT THE PROBLEM AT ALL. I TOOK IT TO ANOTHER MECHANIC AND HE SAID IT WAS THE RACK AND PINION THAT HAS GONE BAD AND IS GOING TO COST OVER $1,000 TO GET A NEW RACK AND PINION. HE ALSO SAID THAT THE LOOSE RACK AND PINION WAS CAUSING THE POWERING STEERING HOSE TO LEAK.
WHILE DRIVING, THE CAR WILL SUDDENLY LOSE ALL ACCELERATION AND THE MAINTENANCE WRENCH LIGHT WILL COME ON. THIS HAS HAPPENED WHILE ACCELERATING FROM A STOP, AND WHILE GOING 60 MPH DOWN THE HIGHWAY. THE ONLY WAY TO RESET IT IS TO RESTART THE CAR. IF THE CAR IS NOT RESTARTED, IT WILL SHAKE VIGOROUSLY AS IF IT IS GOING TO STALL ON ITS OWN. ONCE RESTARTED, ACCELERATION IS RESTORED TO NORMAL UNTIL IT DOES THE SAME THING AGAIN.

THE CAR HAS A HARD SHIFT BETWEEN 1ST AND 2ND GEAR AS WELL AS 2ND TO 3RD. I HAVE HAD THE SEALS REPLACED THREE TIMES. THE CV JOINTS HAVE BEEN REPLACED AND THE TRANSMISSION WAS REPLACED IN 2014. I STARTED THE CAR BACK UP, AND IT RAN WITHOUT ISSUE. I SEARCHED ONLINE, AND FOUND SIMILAR COMPLAINTS ON OTHER FUSIONS. I TOOK THE CAR TO A FORD DEALERSHIP AND THEY REPLACED THE THROTTLE BODY AS WELL AS THE FUEL VALVE. LEADING UP TO THIS, I HAD NOTICED SOME SYMPTOMS OF SHUDDERING, BUT, IT COINCIDED WITH A NEW TANK OF FUEL. I PLANNED TO PUT A NEW TANK OF FUEL IN AND SEE IF THE PROBLEM PERSISTED. THE CAR DIED PRIOR TO A NEW TANK. THIS IS A SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE GIVEN THAT IT CAN EASILY RESULT IN BEING REAR-ENDED.
