I WAS DRIVING IN A 45 MILE LANE, MY ELECTRIC POWER STEERING HOPPED OFF AND POWER STEERING SERVICE NOW CAME ON. MY CAR HIT THE CURB AND LANDED IN SOMEONE YARD. VERY TERRIFYING. I CONTACTED FORD AND THEY SAID THEY WILL NOT REPLACE IT. BECAUSE I DON’T MEET THE GUIDELINES FOR THE RECALL. MY CAR IS OVER 150,000 MILES. AND I WILL HAVE TO PAY. I FELT LIKE THIS IS NOT OKAY I ONLY HAD THIS CAR FOR 2 MONTHS AND THE OWNER NEVER TOOK IT IN WHEN IT WAS UNDER 150,000 MILES. IF IT’S ON RECALL IT SHOULDN’T HAVE A TIME FRAME TO GET IT FIX. IF THEY MESSED UP ON THEIR END FIX IT. NOW THEY ASKING ME TO PAY OUT OF POCKET TO FIX ON THEIR BEHAVE.
SAFETY RECALL NOTICE 19S01 / NHTSA RECALL 19V-001 RECALL RECEIVED IN FEBRUARY 2019 AFTER REPEATED CALLS TO THE DEALERSHIP, THEY STILL HAVE NOT RECEIVED THE REPLACEMENT PART TO MAKE THE RECALL CORRECTIONS. THEY CLAIM THEY ARE ONLY BEING SHIPPED SO MANY PARTS AT A TIME? THIS ISSUE IS GOING ON 4-MONTHS NOW, THIS UNACCEPTABLE!

THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 110,000.

WHILE DRIVING 30 MPH, THERE WAS AN ABNORMAL CLICKING NOISE DETECTED FROM THE VEHICLE AND THE STEERING WHEEL SEIZED.THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE CONTACT'S RESIDENCE. AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC INSPECTED THE VEHICLE AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE IDLE PULLEY BOLT FRACTURED AND HALF OF THE BOLT WAS STUCK IN THE ENGINE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING OR REPAIRS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 189,201.
THE CAR WAS IN MOTION BOTH TIMES THE STEERING LOCKED UP AND INDICATOR LIGHT CAME ON AND DISPLAYED POWER STEERING FAULT
The contact owns a 2010 Ford Fusion. The contact stated that while his son was driving the vehicle at an undisclosed speed, the driver noticed that the power steering warning light was illuminated, and the vehicle became difficult to steer. The driver pulled the vehicle over to the side of road and waited a few minutes before restarting the vehicle. The vehicle was restarted, and the power steering functionality returned. The contact stated that the failure recurred and persisted. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the electronic rack and pinion needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 95,000.
THE BLOWER MOTOR CONNECTOR AND BLOWER MOTOR RESISTOR WILL MELT WITH USE, WHICH CAUSES SMOKING TO COME FROM THE PASSENGER SIDE FLOOD UNDER THE GLOVE BOX. IS NOT SAFE AND I HAVE REPLACED 3 TIMES SINCE 2014. IT CAN HAPPEN WHILE SITTING AND DRIVING, DOES NOT MATTER. I HAVE REACHED OUT TO FORD THEY MUST NOT CARE BECAUSE I HAVE BEEN TOLD ITS NOT THEIR PROBLEM, OR TO GET OVER IT.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE FUEL TANK WAS CRACKED AND CAUSED FUEL TO LEAK FROM THE VEHICLE. THE MECHANIC STATED THAT THE FUEL TANK NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. HARRISON FORD (820 N. MAIN ST, WELLINGTON, OH) AND THE MANUFACTURER WERE NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND DID NOT ASSIST. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 15V793000 (FUEL SYSTEM), ALTHOUGH THE VEHICLE EXPERIENCED THE SAME FAILURE LISTED IN THE RECALL. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 91,000.

TOWN & COUNTRY FORD (6015 PRESTON HWY, LOUISVILLE, KY 40219, (502) 964-8131) SCHEDULED AN APPOINTMENT; HOWEVER, THE PART WAS NOT AVAILABLE FOR THE REPAIR. THE RECALL WAS ISSUED ON JANUARY 28, 2019. IN ADDITION, THE DEALER WAS INFORMED THAT THE DRIVERS SIDE DOOR FAILED TO UNLATCH FROM INSIDE THE VEHICLE. THE FAILURE CAUSED THE DRIVER TO HAVE TO ELECTRONICALLY WIND DOWN THE WINDOW TO OPEN THE DOOR FROM OUTSIDE THE VEHICLE. THE DEALER HAD NOT VERIFIED IF THE VEHICLE WAS INCLUDED OR EXCLUDED FROM NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 17V210000 (LATCHES/LOCKS/LINKAGES:DOOR:LATCH). THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE EXHIBITED THE SAME FAILURE AS LISTED IN THE RECALL CAMPAIGN. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURES. CANISTER PURGE VALVE FAILURE - CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON WHILE DRIVING. ERROR CODE P1450 DISPLAYS NOW INDICATING THERE IS A VACUUM ISSUE IN MY FUEL TANK WE HAD THE VEHICLE CHECKED IN APRIL 2016 WHEN THE RECALL NOTICE CAME OUT - THE RECALL WAS CLOSED WITH A COMPUTER MODULE UPDATE TO MAKE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COME ON IF VALVE MALFUNCTIONS - BECAUSE THERE WAS NO VISIBLE ISSUE WITH THE VALVE IN 2016 FORD WILL NOT HONOR THE RECALL AND FIX THE MALFUNCTIONING PART AT THIS TIME
THE POWER STEERING WENT OUT WHILE DRIVING MY 2011 FORD FUSION. I WAS DRIVING ON THE STREET IN THE SUBDIVISION THAT I LIVE. I COULD BARELY GET THE VEHICLE HOME. I COULD BARELY TURN THE CORNER. I WAS TERRIFIED. I CALLED THE DEALERSHIP THE FOLLOWING MORNING AND HAD THE VEHICLE TOWED. THERE IS NOT A RECALL FROM FORD ON THIS YET.
THE POWER STEERING ISSUE THAT WAS RECALLED ON THESE CARS ONCE BEFORE HAS WENT OUT AGAIN 100 MILES PAST THE 12,000 MILE WARRANTY. THE WARNING CAME UP ABOUT 3 MILES FROM HOME AFTER GETTING HOME THE CAR WAS CUT OFF AND WHEN WE STARTED THE NEXT DAY THE POWER STEERING WAS COMPLETELY OUT. THIS WAS CONFIRMED BY LONG LEWIS OF MUSCLE SHOALS ALABAMA THAT IT WAS THE EXACT SAME ISSUE. THEY REFUSED TO FIX THE PROBLEM WITH THE CAR UNLESS WE PAID ALL BUT $300. I FEEL THERE NEEDS TO BE A RECALL ON THIS POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS FAULTY PART. THIS ALL TOOK PLACE ON A CURVY COUNTY ROAD.
TURNING OFF THE HIGHWAY ONTO A SMALL SIDE STREET POWER STEERING WENT OUT CAUSING COLLISION WITH A MAILBOX AND TRASH CANS ALONG WITH SEVERAL UNSIGHTLY SCRATCHES, DENTS, AND DINGS DOWN THE SIDE OF THE CAR

THE MANUFACTURER AND DEALER WERE NOT CONTACTED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 96,000. *BF CONSUMER STATED DOOR LATCH ASSEMBLY BROKE. UNABLE TO EXIT VEHICLE FROM THE INSIDE. IF I HAD BEEN IN AN ACCIDENT I WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN ABLE TO EXIT MY VEHICLE IN THE CASE OF AN EMERGENCY OR MY OR ANY OF MY PASSENGERS.*JB
I HAVE EXPERIENCED LOSS OF POWER STEERING ASSIST SEVERAL TIMES. USUALLY HAPPENED WHEN BACKING OUT OF PARKING AREA. YESTERDAY HAPPENED WHILE DRIVING. POWER STEERING ASSIST FAULT ALARM SHOWS ON DASH. I TOOK TO FORD DEALER AFTER FIRST TIME, THEY SAID NO FAULTS WERE IN COMPUTER, SO COULD NOT DIAGNOSE. IT HAS HAPPENED SEVERAL TIMES SINCE AND NO TROUBLE CODES ARE REGISTERED. THIS IS A VERY DANGEROUS ISSUE AND FEEL A RECALL IS NEEDED. I DID TAKE IT IN SEVERAL YEARS AGO ON THE RECALL TO CHECK THE SOFTWARE. OBVIOUSLY THAT FIX DID NOT TAKE CARE OF THE ISSUE.
THE DRIVER'S SIDE DOOR HANDLE IS BROKEN. I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM IN 2016 AND HAD IT REPLACED AT KENNY ROSS FORD, ADAMSBURG, PA. I HAVE AN APPOINTMENT TUESDAY MAY 7TH FOR THE SAME REPAIR AT THE SAME DEALER. TO OPEN THE DOOR, I CAN EITHER REACH THROUGH THE OPEN WINDOW AND PULL THE HANDLE OR I CAN PULL THE INSIDE HANDLE ALONG WITH THE DOOR LOCK, WHICH OPENS THE DOOR. I FEEL THAT IF SOMETHING HAPPENS, IT'S VERY MUCH A SAFETY ISSUE. I'M 69 YRS. OLD BUT AN OLDER PERSON OR A PERSON WITH LIMITED ABILITIES WILL, NOT MIGHT, BUT WILL HAVE PROBLEMS. THIS IS A SERIOUS PROBLEM THAT NEEDS RESOLVED NOW.

RECENTY THE PART DEFALT AGAIN I TOOK IT INTO FORD THEY ARE SAYING IT'S NOTHING THEY CAN DO BECAUSE IT'S HAS MORE THE 150,00/ MILES ON IT. DASH DISPLAYS "POWER STEERING FAULT". THIS HAS HAPPENED SEVERAL TIMES IN A 3 WEEK SPAN. THIS HAPPENS AFTER TURNING ON IGNITION STEERING WHEEL CANNOT BE TURNED DURING THIS TIME. IGNITION MUST BE TURNED OFF AND BACK ON IN ORDER TO CLEAR DISPLAY FAULT AND REGAIN POWER STEERING CAPABILITIES. THIS HAS ONLY HAPPENED WHILE CAR IS NOT IN MOTION SO FAR.

I LOVE MY CAR BUT IT HAS HAD MANY RECALLS. ONE OF THE RECENT ONES IS CONCERNING THE AIRBAGS. LESS THAN 6 MONTHS LATER THE AIRBAG SENSOR IS ON FOR NO APPARENT REASON AND THE DEALERSHIP WANTS TO CHARGE AN ARM & A LEG. I'VE READ MANY REVIEWS IF THIS HAPPENING TO OTHER FORD FUSION OWNERS. THIS CANNOT BE A COINCIDENCE.
I HAVE PURCHASED FORD FUSION AND FORD FAILED TO HONOR 2011 FORD FUSION NHTSA RECALL ON STEERING, ELECTRIC POWER STEERING, BY FALSELY CLAIMING THAT SOME DAMAGE WAS PREVENTING THEM TO REPLACE THEIR FAULTY STEERING, YET FAILED TO DEMONSTRATE TO DAMAGE.

THE CONTACT STATED AFTER THE REPAIR WAS COMPLETED, THE TECHNICIAN INFORMED HER THAT THE TRACTION WARNING LIGHT WAS ILLUMINATED, THE AIR BAG MODULE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED AND THAT THE AIR BAG MODULE MAY NOT DEPLOY IN THE EVENT OF AN ACCIDENT. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED DUE TO THE REPAIR FEES. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO TWO INDEPENDENT MECHANIC FOR SECOND OPINION AND WAS INFORMED THAT THE DEALER HAD TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY. THE CONTACT ALSO MENTIONED THAT THE SEAT BELT ON THE DRIVER SIDE FAILED TO RETRACT AND WAS LOOSE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC BUT WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 84,000.

THE VEHICLE WAS DRIVEN TO THE CONTACT'S RESIDENCE. ON, NOVEMBER 10, 2016, I PULLED INTO A PARKING SPOT IN A SHOPPING PLAZA. I PUT MY CAR IN PARK, TOOK MY FOOT OFF OF THE BREAK AND MY CAR STARTED ROLLING BACKWARDS. I PUT MY FOOT BACK ON THE BREAK AND PULLED THE EMERGENCY BREAK AND MY CAR STOPPED. I DIDN'T KNOW WHAT WAS WRONG, SO I PUT THE KEYS IN THE IGNITION AND TRIED TO START THE CAR AND IT WOULDN'T. I CALLED A TOW TRUCK, HAD IT TOWED TO A FORD DEALERSHIP WHERE THEY REPLACED THE SIFTER CABLE. I HAD 84,561 MILES ON THE CAR AT THE TIME. THIS PAST WEEKEND, MARCH, 16, 2019, I PULLED INTO A PARKING SPOT IN THE FELLS POINT AREA OF BALTIMORE, PUT MY CAR IN PARK, TOOK MY FOOT OFF OF THE BREAK AND MY CAR STARTED ROLLING FORWARD. I PULLED THE EMERGENCY BREAK AND THE CAR STOPPED. I TRIED TO START THE CAR, AND IT WOULD NOT START. IT IS A PROBLEM WITH THE SHIFTER CABLE AGAIN. I'VE ONLY PUT ABOUT 23,000 MILES ON THE CAR SINCE THE LAST TIME IT WAS REPLACED. I AM CURRENTLY WAITING TO HEAR FROM FORD TO SEE WHAT THEY ARE GOING TO DO ABOUT IT.

AFTER CLIMBING OUT THE PASSENGER SIDE DOOR AND WALKING AROUND THE CAR THE DRIVER'S DOOR DID OPEN FROM THE OUTSIDE. FORD LISTS A RECALL FOR 2013-2014 FUSION, BUT NOT EARLIER YEARS. AN INTERNET SEARCH SHOWS I AM NOT THE ONLY 2011 OWNER WITH THIS SAFETY ISSUE.

THE EPAS ON MY FUSION STOPPED WORKING WHILE I WAS DRIVING AND I WAS ABLE TO GET OFF THE ROAD SAFELY. I A MESSAGE CAME UP SERVICE POWER STEERING NOW AND THE STEERING DOESN'T WORK. I CALLED WITH MY VIN AND THERE'S NO RECALL ON MY CAR.THERE IS A RECALL ON SOME MODELS BUT NOT ALL. THERE'S MORE OF THE SAME MODELS THAT HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM. THERE'S ONLY ONE PLANT THAT WAS INCLUDED NOT ALL.

WHEN DRIVING MY 2011 FORD FUSION GOING STRAIGHT ON CLEAR ROAD THE BRAKES FAIL AFTER HITTING A BUMP AND OR POTHOLE WHILE PRESSING ON THE BRAKES. ITS LIKE A " PERFECT STORM" IN ORDER TO DUPLICATE IT. YOU HAVE TO BE DRIVING AND ALMOST AT THE SAME TIME PRESS THE BRAKE AND HIT THE BUMP/POTHOLE. THE BRAKES FAIL. THE PEDDLE GOES ALL THE WAY DOWN TO THE FLOOR. ALMOST HITTING THE CAR IN FRONT OF ME. TO STOP THE CAR I HAD TO PUMP THE BRAKES WHILE CAR STILL IN MOTION FOR IT TO STOP. EVENTUALLY THE BRAKES COME BACK AFTER FRANTICALLY PUMPING THE BRAKES. THIS IS THE THIRD TIME NOW. I CAN'T DO THIS ANYMORE I'M SCARED THAT I MAY DIE IN A CRASH WITH ME AND MY FAMILY.

WHEN I TOOK IT TO THE FORD DEALERSHIP, THEY TOLD ME THERE IS A RECALL BUT BECAUSE MY CAR IS OVER A CERTAIN MILEAGE THAT IT'S NOT COVERED AND IT'LL COST ME $2000.00 TO FIX THE PROBLEM. I'VE DONE SOME RESEARCH ONLINE AND THERE ARE LOTS OF OTHERS THAT'S HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM THAT I AM. I'VE CONTACTED FORD SEVERAL TIMES AND THEY REFUSE TO FIX THIS ISSUE...EVEN THOUGH IT'S UNDER A RECALL. I'D REALLY APPRECIATE IT SOMEONE COULD GET THIS PROBLEM RESOLVED. IT'S DANGEROUS AND NOW I HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT HOW I'M GOING TO GET WHERE MY KIDS AND I NEED TO GO EVERY DAY.
