TAKATA RECALL: THIS RECALL HAS BEEN OUT OVER 18 MONTHS AND FORD SAYS THEY STILL DO NOT HAVE THE PARTS. I HAVE CALLED NUMEROUS TIMES TO MY LOCAL DEALER AND THE ANSWER IS ALWAYS THE SAME WE ARE WAITING FOR THE PARTS TO BE RELEASED
DRIVERS DOOR HANDLE FAILED TO OPEN DOOR AT DESTINATION. 1ST FAILURE IT PARTIALLY OPENED LATCH, THEN AFTER DID NOT UNLATCH AT ALL. NO ABNORMAL FEEL PRIOR TO NOT WORKING. DROPPED WINDOW AND OPENED USING EXTERIOR HANDLE. LOOKING INTO THE SYMPTOM ON THE WEB I WAS SURPRISED TO FIND RECALL(S) FOR SIMILAR/IDENTICAL ISSUE ON OTHER EARLIER AND LATER YEAR FUSIONS! PART NUMBER FOR INTERIOR HANDLE FOR ALL YEARS APPEARS TO BE THE SAME. SEEMS RECALL WOULD BE APPLICABLE TO FAILING PART RATHER THAN YEAR SPECIFIC SEEING AS HOW IT WAS DEEMED A SAFETY ISSUE? I SUSPECT SIMILAR TORSION FAILURE BETWEEN LATCH HANDLE AND LOCK HANDLE WITHIN 6E5Z-5422601-A ASSEMBLY. WILL KNOW FOR SURE ONCE REPLACING/REPLACED.

I HAVE AS OF THIS DATE, NOT RECEIVED ANY RECALL NOTICE FOR THIS PROBLEM
SINCE JUNE 2016 FORD ISSUED A RECALL, BUT THEY HAVE YET FAILED TO MAKE THE REPLACEMENT AVAILABLE AT THEIR DEALERSHIPS. IT IS NOVEMBER 2, 2017. MY VEHICLE IS STILL AT RISK FOR OVER A YEAR.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE CONTACT CALLED QUALITY AUTO MALL (55 NJ-17, RUTHERFORD, NJ 07070; 201935-2400) AND WAS INFORMED THAT THE PART FOR THE RECALL REPAIR WAS UNAVAILABLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. VIN TOOL CONFIRMS PARTS NOT AVAILABLE.
"TAKATA RECALL" I RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE IN JULY 2016 AND THERE IS STILL NOT A REMEDY IN PLACE TO FIX THIS POTENTIALLY FATAL PROBLEM. ALTHOUGH I HAVE SUFFERED NO INJURY YET, THOSE OF US WAITING ON A FIX FOR THIS PROBLEM DRIVE EVERY DAY, PRAYING THAT AN ACCIDENT DOESN'T OCCUR, WHICH COULD RESULT IN INJURY OR DEATH. WHY IS IT TAKING SO LONG TO FIX THIS PROBLEM?
THE POWER STEERING WENT OUT AND NOW WE HAVE TO REPLACE THE STEERING GEAR AT OUR OWN EXPENSE. THIS CAR PART OF A JUNE 2015 RECALL # 15S18 FOR THE ELECTRIC POWER ASSIST SYSTEM FOR THIS EXACT PROBLEM WHICH THE LOCAL DEALERSHIP SUPPOSEDLY FIXED BUT FORD NOW REFUSES TO PAY FOR THE FIX!
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 FORD FUSION. WHILE DRIVING 30 MPH AND DEPRESSING THE BRAKE PEDAL ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOORBOARD, A LOUD NOISE WAS HEARD COMING FROM THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC OR DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING OR REPAIR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 106,300.
TAKATA RECALL MY CAR IS ONE THAT IS IN THE RECALL OF THE TAKATA AIRBAG INFLATORS AND I WOULD LIKE TO GET IT FIXED.
NOTIFIED BY MAIL CHAPTER 11 CASE NO. 17--11375
THE POWER STEERING WENT OUT. GOT A 'SERVICE POWER STEERING' WARNING ON DASHBOARD, ALSO 'SERVICE ADVANCETRAC' WARNING. TURNED CAR OFF, THEN BACK ON, STILL A PROBLEM. DISCONNECTED AND RECONNECTED BATTERY, STILL A PROBLEM. THIS HAPPENED WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY. I HAD MY 5 YEAR OLD IN THE CAR GOING FOR ICE CREAM. STEERING SEEMED TO WORK OK UNTIL I GOT TO THE DRIVE THRU AT DAIRY QUEEN. AFTER ORDERING, MAKING THE TURN AROUND THE BUILDING THE POWER STEERING WAS GONE. HAD TO WRENCH THE STEERING WHEEL TO GET INTO A PARKING SPOT.
TAKATA RECALL I CAN NOT GET MY AIR BAG REPLACED UNTIL THE PART BECOMES AVAILABLE AND I CONTACTED MY FORD DEALER WHO INFORMS ME THERE IS NO EXPECTED DATE FOR THE AIR BAG TO BE AVAILABLE. THIS IS TOTALLY UNEXCEPTABLE. THE PART NEEDS TO BE MANUFACTURED AND SENT OUT TO ALL DEALERS WHO HAVE CUSTOMERS WITH AN EFFECTED AUTO. WHAT IS GOING HAPPEN IF A PERSON IS KILLED DUE TO THIS RECALL THAT IS NOT BEING FULFILLED,? THE COMPANY NEEDS TO GET IT IN GEAR AND GET THESE AIR BAGS MADE AND SENT OUT.
THE AIR BAGS WERE RECALLED IN JUNE OF 2016. I RECEIVED A NOTICE FROM THE BANKRUPTCY COURT (TK HOLDINGS, INC) TO CONTACT A LOCAL DEALER FOR A REPLACEMENT AIR BAG. I DID AND THEY DO NOT HAVE ANY REPLACEMENT AIR BAGS. WHEN WILL THIS RECALL BE FULFILLED? THE DELAY IN REMEDYING THIS DEFECT IS UNREASONABLE.
SERVICE TRAC OFF POWER STEERING OFF RECALL NUMBER 15 S 18 MY VIN NUMBER WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THIS RECALL EVEN THOUGH THIS IS THE PROBLEM I AM CURRENTLY HAVING WAS INVOLVED IN A CAR ACCIDENT BECAUSE OF IT ON THE 25TH OF OCTOBER 2017
WE RECEIVED THE RECALL NOTICE IN THE MAIL FOR MY CAR WHEN FORD FIRST WENT PUBLIC WITH THE RECALL NOTICE.VI WENT TO DEALERSHIP AND WAS TOLD THAT THERE WERE NO REPLACEMENTS AVAILABLE AND THERE WOULD PROBABLY NEVER BE A REPLACEMENT AVAILABLE. BUT THEY DID SAY THEY WERE PUTTING US ON A LIST TO BE REPAIRED IF THE AIRBAGS EVER BECAME AVAILABLE. OF COURSE I'M STILL DRIVING AROUND IN THIS DEATHTRAP OF A CAR WITH NO REPLACEMENT INSIGHT.

FORD HAS NOTIFIED ME ABOUT THE ISSUE THROUGH THEIR RECALL REPORT SYSTEM FOR THIS CAR MODEL, HOWEVER, STILL NO REPAIRING OR SOLUTION TO THIS RECALL HAS BEEN PROVIDED SINCE THIS RECALL HAS BEEN REPORTED (JUNE 2016 - STATUS: RECALL INCOMPLETE. REMEDY NOT YET AVAILABLE). MY CAR IS RUNNING FINE NOW, BUT AT THIS POINT AND WITH THIS AIRBAG RECALL PENDING, I'M NOT SURE HOW SAFE IS DRIVING IT.

I WAS DRIVING FROM JASPER, TX TO GEORGETOWN, TX. WHEN THE SERVICE POWER STEERING NOW LIGHT CAME ON. THERE WERE ALSO TWO OTHER WARNINGS THAT CAME ON INCLUDING REMOVE ALL ITEMS FROM FRONT PASSENGER'S SEAT, BUT I DON'T REMEMBER THE OTHER. I TRIED TO RETURN TO JASPER BUT THE CAR BECAME TOO HARD TO STEER AND I STOPPED IN BRYAN, TX. I BELIEVE THERE WAS A PREVIOUS RECALL ON THIS CAR BUT AT THE TIME MY CAR WAS DISABLED FOR OTHER REASONS. I CALLED FORD ABOUT THIS PROBLEM AND THEY SAID THEY WOULD CALL MY DEALERSHIP, BUT THE DEALER INDICATED THAT THEY HAD NEVER BEEN CALLED. I AM CURRENTLY AT A HOTEL IN BRYAN WITHOUT MY BROTHER'S OR MY OWN MEDICATION. I CANNOT CONTACT FORD UNTIL TOMORROW WHICH WILL MEAN TWO DAYS WITHOUT MEDICATION. THIS IS AN EMERGENCY SITUATION. PLEASE HELP.

NUMBER OF CONTACT ATTEMPTS WITH FORD DEALER WHO SOLD ME THIS 34,000 DOLLAR CAR THAT CANNOT CARRY FRONT PASSENGERS WITHOUT FEAR OF DEATH: MANY AS IN UNDERGO MAINTENANCE CHECKS EVERY 5000 MILES. NUMBER OF POST CARDS WITH MINISCULE TYPE FROM TAKATA DECLARING BANKRUPTCY AND RELEASING ITSELF FROM ANY FURTHER RESPONSIBILITY FOR THEIR EXCEEDINGLY POOR AND DANGEROUS CRAFTSMANSHIP: 1 DATED OCTOBER 19,2017.
THE HEADLIGHT SELECTOR SWITCH ON THE CAR DASHBOARD WAS ON AUTOMATIC AND THE HEAD LIGHTS WERE OFF AS IT WAS IN THE MIDDLE OF THE AFTERNOON ON A BRIGHT SUNNY DAY WHEN I ENTERED A TUNNEL ON THE BLUE RIDGE PARKWAY IN NORTH CAROLINA. THE HEAD LIGHTS DID NOT COME ON AND THE TUNNEL WAS LONG, NOT LIGHTED, AND HAD A SLIGHT BEND. I WAS IN COMPLETED DARKNESS AND COULD SEE NOTHING. I SCRAPPED THE SIDE OF MY CAR AGAINST THE TUNNEL WALL BEFORE ANOTHER CAR FROM THE OTHER DIRECTION PROVIDED ENOUGH LIGHT THAT I WAS ABLE TO STEER MY CAR OUT OF THE TUNNEL TO SAFETY. THERE IS NO POLICE ACCIDENT REPORT. I HAD THE CAR PATCHED UP ENOUGH TO SAFELY DRIVE IT HOME TO CINCINNATI, OH BUT HAVEN'T YET FILED AN INSURANCE CLAIM OR TAKEN IT IN FOR REPAIRS. THE CONSUMER STATED THE VEHICLE HAS A HIDDEN FEATURE THAT DELAYS THE AUTOMATIC HEADLIGHTS. THE CONSUMER BELIEVES THIS FEATURE SHOULD BE DISABLED. *JS
ELECTRONI POWER STERRING ASSIT. DOES NOT WORK. DAUGHTER DRIVING DONE THE HIGHEST WHEN LOSS OF POWER ASSIST TO STERRING G WENTRY OUT. VOLTAGE IS GOOD AND NO BLOWN FUSES.
I CAME HOME FROM SHOPPING AND WAS UNABLE TO OPEN MY DRIVER SIDE DOOR TO EXIT THE CAR. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE, I HAVE OWNED PREVIOUS VEHICLES AND NEVER HAD ISSUES THAT A DOOR WOULD NOT OPEN. I HAD TO OPEN MY DRIVER SIDE WINDOW AND ACTUALLY REACH OUT TO OPEN THE CAR DOOR. THIS WAS A ISSUE THAT WAS ONGOING FOR FORD FUSIONS AS I HAVE SEEN SEVERAL COMPLAINTS REGARDING THE FAULTY DOOR LATCHES.
ON 10/7/17 DRIVING ON MAIN ROA DOING ABOUT 45MPH AND THE POWER STEERING WARNING LIGHT CAME ON AND THE ACTION CONTROL LIGHT. ONCE TURNED OFF THE STEERING WAS VERY HARD TO TURN. I CALLED TO HAVE RECALL FIXED ON 10/11/17. ON 10/14/17 POWER STEERING WENT OUT AGAIN. BROUGHT BACK TO DEALER ON 10/16/17 AND THEY STATED THE COMPUTER NEEDED TO BE RESET AND NOW WORKING FINE. I PICKED UP CAR AND DROVE ABOUT 1/2 MILE AND IT WENT OUT AGAIN. LEFT AT DEALER AS I WAS GOING ON VACATION. CALLED ON 10/6 OR 10/27 AND TOLD ALL FIXED AND WILL BE READY WHEN I GET HOME. 10/30/17 WENT TO PICK UP CAR AND TOLD THE ISSUE HAPPENED AGAIN WHILE ONE OF THE MECHANICS WAS DRIVING IT. ON 11/2/17 I WAS TOLD THAT THE LEFT AND RIGHT LOWER CONTROL ARMS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED.PICKED UP CAR ON 11/3/17 AT COST OF $830. ON 11/6/17 DRIVING FROM STORE POWER STEERING WENT OUT AGAIN. BROUGHT CAR BACK TO DEALER ON 11/7/17. CAR WAS BROUGHT INTO THE BAY TO BE LOOKED AT ON 11/9/17 AFTER I CALLED FOR UPDATE. CALLED AGAIN ON 11/14/17 BUT HAVE NOT HEARD BACK YET. I HAVE THE DOCUMENTATION ON ALL THE WORK FROM THE DEALER IN THE CAR.
CAR JUST STOPS WHILE DRIVING. HAPPENED 5 TIMES IN THE LAST 5 MONTHS. MOST RECENT INCIDENT WAS 10/04/2017. THOUGHT THAT THIS PROBLEM WAS RELATED TO MY POWER STEERING ASSEMBLY THAT WAS REPLACED LAST WEEK, BUT APPARENTLY THIS IS A DIFFERENT PROBLEM ALTOGETHER. DRIVING 50 MPH ON A SINGLE LANE ROAD AND CAR JUST STOPS. TURNED KEY TO OFF, RESTARTED, DROVE ABOUT 2 MILES, STOPPED AT A STOP SIGN, AND CAR LOST POWER. AGAIN TURNED KEY TO OFF, TURNED BACK ON AND CAR WAS DRIVEABLE. HAPPENED TWICE IN MAY, SAME SCENARIO, DRIVING ABOUT 45-50 MPH, CAR JUST STOPPED, DROVE ABOUT 1 MI., STOPPED AT A TRAFFIC LIGHT AND CAR JUST SHUT OFF. IN EARLY SEPTEMBER, HAPPENED ON DECELERATION APPROACHING A STOP LIGHT.
DRIVING ON INTERSTATE AT 70MPH WHEN POWER STEERING SERVICE LIGHT CAME ON. AS EXITED FIRST AVAILABLE OFF RAMP ONTO STATE HIGHWAY, STEERING BECAME INCREASINGLY MORE DIFFICULT TO THE POINT OF BEING UNABLE TO MAKE FIRST TWO DESIRED TURNS OFF STATE HIGHWAY. PRIOR OCCURRENCE 08/22/2017 RESULTING IN FORD SERVICE DEPARTMENT REPLACED STEERING RACK ASSEMBLY AND SET TOE ADJUSTMENT. WHEN CAR WAS RETURNED FROM FORD SERVICE DEPARTMENT, PULLED LEFT AND STEERING WHEEL OFF CENTER. CAR WAS RETURNED TO FORD SERVICE DEPARTMENT WHO STATED NOTHING WRONG WITH POWER STEERING, ISSUE WAS BECAUSE TIRES NEED ROTATED. CAR RETURNED AND DRIVEN UNTIL THIS OCCURRENCE. FORD SERVICE DEPARTMENT STATES NO ISSUE WITH POWER STEERING AND IS AGAIN BLAMING TIRES, HOWEVER LAST SERVICE RECEIPT REPORTS "GTIRE TIRES CHECKED GOOD AT THIS TIME."
CROSS TRAFFIC ALERT SYSTEM MALFUNCTION AND REAR PARK AID ALERT MALFUNCTION.
THE STEARING WHEEL GETS TIGHT WHERE'S AS THOUGH I CANT MOVE IT THAN IT READS STEARING POWER ASSIST FAULT I ALMOST GOT INTO AN ACCIDENT WITH MY CHILDREN IN THE CAR WHEN THE STEARING WHEAL LOCKED ON ME ALSO SOMETINES IT FEEL AS IF THE CAR IS NOT STOPPING WHEN I PUSH THE BREAKS IT KEEPS GOING EVEN WHEN I PUT BRAND NEW BRAKES ON IT I ALMOST RAN INTO THE BACK OF SOMEONES CAR ON THE ROAD THESE A HAZARDOUS FOR MY CHILD

I WAS DRIVING ON FREEWAY WHEN I NOTICED A ODOR FOR ABOUT FIVE MINUTES BEFORE IT GOT WORSE, ONCE I PULLED OVER TO CHECK IT AND LET THE WINDOWS DOWN THE ODER GOT STRONGER. I'VE HAD THIS HAPPENED A COUPLE OF TIMES BUT DIDN'T THINK IT WAS MY CAR.
THE CAR OFTEN LOSES POWER STEERING. SOMETIMES WHEN FIRST STARTING THE VEHICLE AND PUTTING IT IN GEAR. SOMETIMES WHEN DRIVING. SOMETIMES WHEN TURNING. IT ASKS FOR A DATE SO I PICKED A SINGLE INCIDENT, BUT TO DATE IT HAS HAPPENED MORE THAN 12 TIMES STARTING AROUND 60,000 MILES IF I REMEMBER CORRECTLY.
I HAVE BEEN DEALING WITH FRONT END ISSUES THAT HAVE HAD MY 2011 FORD FUSION IN THE SHOP 6 TIMES FOR THE FRONT END ALLIGNMENT PROBLEMS IN THE PAST 6 MONTHS. I HAVE HAD THE UPPER AND LOWER CONTROL ARMS REPAIRED AND IN LESS THAN 3 MONTHS AGO, AGAIN I'M IN NEED OF A FRONT END ALIGNMENT THE FRONT TOE IS OUT AGAIN. I HAVE NOT HAD ANY HELP GETTING TO THE BOTTOM OF THESE ALIGNMENT ISSUES.
MY DRIVERS SIDE DOOR LATCH BROKE, NOT ALLOWING ME TO EXIT THE CAR UNLESS YOU PUT THE WINDOW DOWN PRIOR TO TURNING OFF THE CAR. I HAD IT REPAIRED UNDER MY EXTENED WARRENTY HAWEVER THAT WOULD HAVE COST 126. THIS SHOULD BE A RECALL
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 FORD FUSION. AFTER STARTING THE VEHICLE, THE POWER STEERING ASSIST ERROR INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A LOCAL DEALER (SHEEHY FORD OF SPRINGFIELD, 6727 LOISEDALE RD, SPRINGFIELD, VA 22150) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE RACK AND PINON NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER ADVISED THE CONTACT THAT NO RECALL WAS ASSOCIATED WITH THE VIN; HOWEVER, HE SHOULD KEEP THE REPAIR RECEIPT FOR FUTURE REIMBURSEMENT. CHECK FUEL FILL INLET: THE CHECK FUEL FILL INLET WARNING HAS INTERMITTENTLY COME ON IN MY 2011 FORD FUSION SEL FOR THE LAST 6 MONTHS. I HAVE COMPLETED THE RECOMMENDED STEPS TO REMEDY THE ERROR BY CLEANING THE AREA AND BLOWING OUT ANY POSSIBLE DEBRIS FROM THE INLET. WHILE DRIVING TODAY, THE ERROR MESSAGE CAME BACK ON. A FEW MOMENTS LATER WHEN I WAS DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 70 MPH ON THE INTERSTATE WITH CRUISE CONTROL ON, MY VEHICLE SUDDENLY REVVED UP APPROXIMATELY 2000 RPM AND STAYED UNTIL I PULLED OFF OF THE ROADWAY. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 FORD FUSION. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE SERVICE ADVANCE STABILITRAK INDICATOR ILLUMINATED WHILE DRIVING 30 MPH. IN ADDITION, THE CONTACT EXPERIENCED A LOSS OF POWER STEERING. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE STEERING COLUMN COULD BE MOVED, BUT EXCESSIVE EFFORT HAD TO BE APPLIED. THE VEHICLE WAS OPERABLE AFTER BEING MANUALLY RESTARTED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO FOX FORD (3560 28TH ST SE, GRAND RAPIDS, MI) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE STEERING GEAR WAS DEFECTIVE AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. CAR SPONTANEOUSLY SHUT DOWN WITH NO POWER TO ENGINE WHILE DRIVING ON HIGHWAY WHEN CHECK THROTTLE/TRANSMISSION WARNING LIGHT CAME ON. PROBLEM IS RELATED TO NHTSA ACTION NUMBER: PE13003. DEALERS REFUSED TO FIX IT. FORD CORPORATE NEVER RESPONDED TO MY MAIL.
PULLED OUT OF DRIVEWAY, THOUGHT CAR DIED, LOOKED AT DASHBOARD AND MESSAGE WAS 'POWER ASSIST FAILURE'. PULLED BACK INTO GARAGE WITH NO POWER STEERING. WAITED 10 MINUTES, STARTED CAR AND NO PROBLEM. DROVE AROUND BLOCK WITH NO INCIDENT. SIDE NOTE: FILLED CAR WITH GAS YESTERDAY AND DASH INDICATED CAR HAD 471 MILES TIL EMPTY WHICH IS ABOVE CAPACITY FOR CAR.

FORD HAS RECALL ON 2011 FORD FUSION 2011 FORD FUSION STEERING:ELECTRIC POWER ASSIST SYSTEM NHTSA CAMPAIGN #15V340000 BUT HAS LIMITATIONS ON MILEAGE WILL NOT COVER MY VEHICLE DUE TO BEING OVER MILEAGE. THE STEERING HAS LOCKED UP ON MORE THAN ONE OCCASION AND SEVERAL OF THOSE HAVE ALMOST CAUSED AN ACCIDENT. CALLED FORD AND THEY WILL NOT FIX THAT I COULD PAY TO HAVE FIXED AND ONLY THEN WOULD THEY WARRANTY THE POWER STEERING AND THEN IT WOULD ONLY BE FOR 3 YEARS. WHEN THIS IS HAPPENING YOU LOSE TOTAL CONTROL OF STEERING, THE STEERING WHEEL LOCKS UP AND YOU HAVE TO TURN VEHICLE COMPLETELY OFF AND RESTART BEFORE YOU CAN EVEN MOVE THE STEERING WHEEL. IT HAS HAPPENED AT SPEED FROM 5MPH ALL THE WAY UP TO 30 MPH AND IT HAS HAPPENED WHILE BACKING OUT OF PARKING SPACE TO PULLING OUT OF PARKING SPACE AND WHILE GOING DOWN ROAD IN CURVES. AFTER I TALKED TO FORD REPRESENTING AND HE TOLD ME IT WOULD NOT BE FIXED UNDER THE RECALL I KNEW THIS NEEDED REPORTED FOR WHEN I'M OUT THERE ON THE ROAD IT'S NOT ONLY MY LIFE INVOLVED BUT POSSIBLY OTHERS IF IT SHOULD HAPPEN WHEN OTHER VEHICLES ARE AROUND.
I WAS DRIVING ABOUT TO MAKE A RIGHT TURN WHEN POWER STEERING ASSIST FAULT DISPLAYED ON THE DASHBOARD THEN MY WHEEL WAS HARD TO TURN... I PULLED OVER TO THE GAS STATION TO GET POWER STEERING FLUID CAN'T FIND THE RESERVOIR TO ADD FLUID CALLED FORD DEALERSHIP IN STONE WALL TO ASK IF THIS HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH THE RECALLS BECAUSE I CAME IN FOR MY RECALLS THAT SPECIFIED POWER STEERING HE SAYS THAT NOT THE SAME PROBLEM I HAVE..I WANT TO KNOW IT HE'S CORRECT ALSO FEW MONTHS BEFORE THIS PULLED INTO AT GAS STATION CAR WILL NOT SHIFT TO PARK HAD TO MANUALLY PUT IT IN PARK ONCE IN PARK IT WILL SHIFT TO REVERSE AND DRIVE BUT WILL NOT GO IN PARK WHAT CAN THAT B?, AND IS IT SOMETHING WE NEED TO PAY TO FIX ?
VEHICLE REPAIRED 4 TIMES FOR INOPERABLE BLOWER MOTOR. FAN/BLOWER WILL EITHER FAIL OUTRIGHT, OR OPERATE INTERMITTENTLY FOR SEVERAL WEEKS AND EVENTUALLY COMPLETE FAILURE. WILL FAIL EITHER IN WINTER OR SUMMER WHEN FAN IS USED THE MOST. THE FIRST TWO TIMES (3/1/2014 & 3/14/2016) THE RESISTOR CONTROL ASSEMBLY WAS REPLACED ALONG WITH THE WIRE HARNESS. THE THIRD TIME (11/29/2016) THE BLOWER MOTOR WAS REPLACED. THE FOURTH TIME THE BLOWER MOTOR CONNECTOR WAS REPLACED. OBVIOUSLY THESE CONNECTORS ARE MELTING DUE TO THE CURRENT DRAWN BY THE BLOWER MOTOR. I BELIEVE THERE MAY BE A TSB ISSUE, BUT FORD REFUSES TO ASSIST AS THE VEHICLE IS OUT OF WARRANTY. THE DEALERSHIP REFUSES TO HELP OR HONOR ANY WARRANTY BECAUSE THEY MANAGE TO REPLACE "DIFFERENT" PARTS EACH TIME, THOUGH I BELIEVE THAT IF THE BLOWER MOTOR, THE RESISTOR, AND ALL CONNECTORS WERE ALL REPLACED AT THE ONSET WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS UNDER WARRANTY ONE OR MORE OF THESE REPAIRS COULD HAVE BEEN AVOIDED. THERE IS A SAFETY ISSUE PRESENTED DURING WHEN THE FAN BLOWER STOPS WORKING SUDDENLY, AND THE WINDSHIELD WILL NOT DEFROST IN THE WINTER. THIS HAS HAPPENED WHILE DRIVING. DURING THE SUMMER DURING HIGH HUMIDITY, THE SUDDEN FAILURE OF THE FAN BLOWER MOTOR ALSO CAUSES THE DRIVER WINDSHIELD TO FOG UP ABRUPTLY, ALSO A SAFETY HAZARD. BOTH HAVE HAPPENED TO ME. THE COST OF THE REPAIRS $368, $455, $165 (~$1000) THUS FAR WITH THE FIRST CLAIM BEING UNDER WARRANTY. I'M CONCERNED THAT AFTER 4 VISITS FOR THE SAME CONCERN, THIS WILL REPEATEDLY HAPPEN. NOT SURE IF IT MAKES A DIFFERENCE BUT MY VEHICLE HAS THE INTEGRATED ONBOARD NAVIGATION SYSTEM.
WHILE DRIVING THE DASH HAD A POWER STEERING ASSIST FAULT IN AMBER ON DASH AND I HAD NO POWER STEERING. I GOT CAR STOPPED, CUT CAR OFF AND STARTED CAR AND THE MESSAGE WAS GONE. THIS HAS HAPPENED ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS. THE OTHER DAY WHEN I STARTED THE CAR THE MESSAGE POPPED BACK UP. I TRIED TO TURN STEERING WHEEL BUT IT WAS VERY DIFFICULT. I CUT CAR OFF AND RE-STARTED AND FAULT WAS GONE. I SEE THAT THIS IS A PROBLEM THAT TONS OF CARS ARE HAVING. SOME HAVE RECALLS WHILE OTHERS DON'T BUT THEY SHOULD ALL BE RECALLED. I HAVE A DAUGHTER DRIVING THIS CAR AND IT SCARES ME FOR HER TO DRIVE IT. I BELIEVE THEIR IS ENOUGH COMPLAINTS BEING FILED THAT IT JUSTIFIES A RECALL TO FIX ALL THE CARS. THE LAST TIME THIS HAPPENED WAS 09 SEP 17. IT HAS HAPPENED ABOUT A DOZEN TIMES. IT HAS BEEN GOING ON OVER A YEAR....

VEHICLE FAILED TO ACCELERATE. DEALERSHIP INDICATED THAT THIS VEHICLE VIN WAS OUTSIDE THE EXTENDED WARRANTY FOR TROTTLE BODY REPLACEMENT. CAR WAS EXPERIENCING EXACT SYMPTONS OF TROTTLE BODY ISSUE. DURING ACCELERATION THE VEHICLE WOULD STALL AND FAILED TO RESTART FOR A FEW MINUTES. THE ISSUE IS EXTREMELY INTERMITTENT.

TOWN AND COUNTRY FORD IN CHARLOTTE, NORTH CAROLINA WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT THEY WERE UNAWARE OF ANY RECALLS REGARDING THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE AND STATED THAT THE VEHICLE DID NOT QUALIFY FOR THE EXTENDED MILEAGE WARRANTY COVERAGE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 154,000.
DRIVER'S DOOR INSIDE LATCH SUDDEN FAILURE - UNABLE TO OPEN DOOR FROM INSIDE. CAR WAS PARKED. THE DOORS WILL CONTINUE TO LOCK AND UNLOCK AND THE DOOR CAN BE OPENED WITH THE OUTSIDE HANDLE.
