TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 FORD FUSION. WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY IN THE REVERSE POSITION, THE TRANSMISSION SHIFT CABLE MALFUNCTIONED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE TRANSMISSION FAILED TO REGISTER ANY OF THE GEAR SHIFT POSITIONS UPON EACH SHIFT. CONSEQUENTLY, THE CONTACT EXITED THE VEHICLE, OPENED THE HOOD, AND FOUND THAT THE GEAR SHIFT CABLE HAD COMPLETELY DETACHED FROM THE TRANSMISSION. A DEALER AND THE MANUFACTURER WERE NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 90,000.
04-AUG-2018 PARKED CAR IN DRIVEWAY. 05-AUG-2018 NEIGHBOR ACROSS STREET CALLED AND INFORMED ME THAT CAR HAD ROLLED DOWN AND STRUCK TRUCK. INVESTIGATED AND FOUND 2013 FORD FUSION HAD STRUCK FORD RANGER. FUSION WAS STILL IN PARK AND REMAINED IN PARK EVEN WITH MOTOR RUNNING AND BRAKE PEDAL APPLIED. AFTER DISCOVERING A RECALL WAS INITIATED 16 JULY 2018 I INSPECTED CABLE CONNECTION AND IT WAS DISCONNECTED AS THE RECALL( CAMPAIGN #18V471000) DESCRIBED. I CALLED FORD C.S. AND WAS TOLD MY VIN # WAS NOT PART OF RECALL. GEORGIA STATE PATROL ACCIDENT REPORT DATED 5-AUG-2018 WAS FILED AND THE CASE # IS [XXX]. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 FORD FUSION. WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED ON AN INCLINE, IT INADVERTENTLY STARTED TO ROLL AWAY. THE CONTACT HAD TO FORCEFULLY DEPRESS THE BRAKE PEDAL, BUT IT FAILED TO STOP THE VEHICLE. THE EMERGENCY BRAKE HAD TO BE ENGAGED IN ORDER TO STOP THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT MULTIPLE UNKNOWN WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO FRANKLIN PARK LINCOLN, INC. (5272 MONROE ST, TOLEDO, OH 43623, (419) 882-7171) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED, BUT THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE COULD NOT BE DETERMINED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 65,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
WHILE DRIVING ON A HIGHWAY AT AROUND 40 MPH, ABOUT TO CROSS A BRIDGE, I LOST POWER STEERING AND IT IMMEDIATELY BECAME VERY DIFFICULT TO TURN THE WHEEL.
MY VEHICLE HAS STALLED WHILE DRIVING AND IS HARD TO START AFTER FUELING WITH GAS. AFTER TAKING IT TO FORD FOR RECALLS IN OCTOBER OF 2018 AND BROUGHT THE ISSUE UP AND THEY WANTED TO CHARGE ME FOR DIAGNOSTIC. AFTER TAKING MY CAR TO MY MECHANIC SHOP FOR OIL CHANGE AND TO LOOK INTO THE ISSUE OF STALLING, THEY MADE ME AWARE OF THE PURGE BALANCE NEEDING REPLACED AND THAT WOULD SOLVE THE ISSUE WITH THE VEHICLE STALLING. APPARENTLY, FORD KNEW THIS DEFECT SINCE 2013 AND PAID FOR REPLACEMENT IF A COMPLAINT WAS FILED. NOW INTO 2019, 93,000 MILES AND NO WARRANTY, FORD DOESN'T WANT TO ASSIST IN PAYING FOR THE REPLACEMENT. I DON'T FEEL I SHOULD BE RESPONSIBLE FOR PAYING FOR THE REPAIR. IT IS VERY DANGEROUS TO HAVE THE CAR STALL IN THE ROAD AND AROUND BUSY TRAFFIC.
I WAS DRIVING ON A HIGHWAY AND ABOUT TO CROSS A BRIDGE WHEN THE STEERING WHEEL WOULD NOT TURN WITHOUT CONSIDERABLE STRENGTH.
WHILE DRIVING THERE WAS A LOUD POP WHEN THE HEADED SEATS WERE ENGAGED THEN A WEEK LATER THE RADIO, REMOTE TO UNLOCK STOPPED WORKING AND THE FLAT TIRE SENSOR WILL NOT STOP FLASHING.
MY 2013 FORD FUSION IS EXPERIENCING AN ISSUE WITH THE CLIMATE CONTROL SYSTEM AND THE WINDOW CONTROLS. I HAVE LOST COMMUNICATION WITH THE 'FRONT CONTROL INTERFACE MODULE', 'DOOR CONTROL MODULE A', AND 'DOOR CONTROL MODULE B'. WHEN THIS HAPPENS, MY ECM DISPLAYS THE FOLLOWING CODES, P193E: A/C CLUTCH REQUEST SIGNAL, U0199: LOST COMMUNICATION WITH DOOR CONTROL MODULE A, U0200: LOST COMMUNICATION WITH DOOR CONTROL MODULE B, AND U0256: LOST COMMUNICATIONS FRONT CONTROLS INTERFACE MODULE. THIS HAPPENS QUITE FREQUENTLY, AND IT HAS HAPPENED WHEN MY CAR IS IN MOTION AND WHEN MY CAR IS STATIONARY. SOMETIMES THIS HAPPENS WHEN I START MY CAR AND SOMETIMES THIS HAPPENS WHEN I AM DRIVING. TO BE CLEAR, I HAVE NO AIR CONDITIONING, NO VENTILATION, AND I CAN NOT ROLL DOWN MY WINDOWS. TO MAKE MATTERS WORSE, THIS SEEMS TO HAPPEN MORE FREQUENTLY WHEN THE TEMPERATURE OUTSIDE IS TOWARDS 90 OR MORE DEGREES FAHRENHEIT. THIS MEANS THE INTERIOR TEMPERATURE OF THE CARE GETS TO BE VERY HOT. IN MY EXPERIENCE, THE ONLY WAY TO FIX THIS ISSUE IS TO DISCONNECT THE BATTERY TERMINALS AND THEN RECONNECT THEM BUT THIS ONLY OFFERS A TEMPORARY FIX TO THE PROBLEM.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 FORD FUSION. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE ENGINE SEIZED WHEN STARTING THE VEHICLE AND THE PASSENGER DOOR AJAR WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. UPON INSPECTING THE VEHICLE, THE CONTACT NOTICED THAT THE FRONT PASSENGER DOOR WAS NOT CLOSED. DUNPHY FORD (7700 FRANKFORD AVE, PHILADELPHIA, PA 19136, 215-624-6700) SERVICED THE VEHICLE PER NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 17V210000 (LATCHES/LOCKS/LINKAGES), BUT THE REMEDY FAILED TO REPAIR THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT THE PASSENGER DOOR STILL OPENED UNEXPECTEDLY AFTER THE RECALL REMEDY. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.
ON 07/30/18 I PULLED INTO A PARKING SPOT IN MY WORK PARKING LOT AND PUT MY CAR SHIFTER IN PARK. WHEN I LET MY FOOT OFF OF THE BRAKE THINKING MY CAR WAS IN PARK IT MOVED FORWARD ALMOST HITTING THE PARKED CAR IN FRONT OF ME! I LOOKED AT MY CAR DASH IT SAID THE CAR WASN'T IN PARK LIKE THE SHIFT WAS BUT MOVED INTO "S"! I HAD TO KEEP MY FOOT ON THE BRAKE BUT MY SHIFTER WAS STUCK IN PARK. I CALLED MY WORK SECURITY AND A FORD DEALERSHIP WHERE I WAS THEN TOLD TO PUT THE PARKING BRAKE ON AND TO TURN THE CAR OFF. BUT NOW MY CAR IS STUCK IN A DRIVE MODE AND THE SHIFTER IN PARK. FORD JUST RECALLED 2013 FORD FUSIONS FOR THIS VERY ISSUE WITH SHIFTER CABLE BUSHINGS BUT FORD CUSTOMER SERVICE IS SAYING THAT MY CAR VIN IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL SINCE IT WAS MANUFACTURED A FEW MONTHS BEFORE THE RECALL DATES! BUT WAS MANUFACTURED AT THE RECALL FACILITY AT HERMOSILLO. SO NOW I'M LEFT WITHOUT A CAR AND NO HELP FROM FORD! *TT
TOOK CAR IN FOR COOLANT SYSTEM RECALL MAY 8 TH , AFTER RECALL WAS DONE THE COOLANT LIGHT CAME ON SEVERAL TIMES AND HAD TO ADD COOLANT TO THE SYSTEM. JULY 10TH CAR OVERHEATED AND SHUT DOWN TOWED THE CAR TO FORD AND THEY SAID THEY DID NOT GET ALL THE AIR OUT THE SYSTEM AND THEY CALIBRATED THE SYSTEM AND GAVE ME THE CAR BACK . THEN JULY 20 TH THE CAR DID SAME THING SAID IT WAS OVER HEATING AND CAR SHUT DOWN . HAD IT TOWED BACK TO FORD AGAIN THIS TIME THEY SAID THEY COULD NOT FIND ANYTHING WRONG WITH THE CAR HAD IT FOR 7 DAYS . I WAS TOLD TO DRIVE THE CAR AND IF SYSTEM SHUT DOWN AGAIN TO CALL THEIR TOW COMPANY . TWO DAYS LATER THE CAR WAS OVERHEATING NOT HOLDING COOLANT AND WHITE SMOKE COMING FROM EXHAUST. FORD TOWED IT TO THERE STORE AGAIN AND 4 DAYS LATER CALLED ME AND SAID THAT THE HEAD GASKETS WAS BLOWN AND RECOMMENDED A MOTOR PUT IN FOR 2,200 . I BELIEVE MY PROBLEMS WAS FROM THE RECALL AND SOMETHING WENT WRONG. BUT FORD IS SAYING THEY WON'T HELP ME THAT THE WARRANTY IS EXPIRED.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 FORD FUSION. THE CONTACT RECEIVED AN UNKNOWN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER FOR THE TRANSMISSION REGARDING A BUSHING THAT ATTACHED THE SHIFTER CABLE TO THE TRANSMISSION. ACCORDING TO THE NOTICE, THE BUSHING MAY DETACH FROM THE TRANSMISSION, ALLOWING IT TO BE IN A DIFFERENT GEAR THAN THE GEAR SHIFT POSITION SELECTED BY THE DRIVER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT RESPONDING TO CALLS AND HAD A RECORDING WITH NO SOLUTION SINCE THE RECALL WAS RECENT AS OF 07/17/18. THE DEALER (ANDERSON FORD, 2207 N BELT HWY, ST JOSEPH, MO 64506, (816) 383-8000) WAS NOT AWARE OF ANY REIMBURSEMENT PLANS WHILE THE RECALL WAS INCOMPLETE. THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE.
THE PARKED VEHICLE (2013 FORD FUSION) WAS FACING NORTHEAST (ON THE SIDE STREET OF MY HOME) WHEN I ENTERED ATTEMPTING TO MOVE IT FROM THE STREET INTO MY DRIVEWAY. AS I MADE A SLIGHT U-TURN, I NOTICED MY DAD HAD FALLEN ONTO THE GRASS AT THE CURB WHERE HE WAS SITTING IN HIS WHEELCHAIR WITH MY MOM. I THEN PUT THE VEHICLE (NOW FACING SOUTHWEST) INTO PARK, LEFT THE DIVER'S SIDE DOOR AJAR AND WALKED ACROSS THE STREET TO HELP HIM UP. AFTER DOING SO, I NOTICED THE CAR WAS ROLLING TOWARDS US. I TRIED TO HOP INTO THE CAR OR AT LEAST GRAB THE WHEEL TO DETER IT FROM RUNNING MY MYSELF AND MY PARENTS OVER. HOWEVER, THE CAR KNOCKED ME BACK ONTO THE CURB AND ROLLED OVER ME. NEEDLESS TO SAY, I SUFFERED VERY SERIOUS INJURIES. THE CONDITIONS WERE A DRY ROAD ON A CLEAR, SUNNY DAY. I DO HAVE A POLICE REPORT BUT DO NOT WISH TO UPLOAD IT AT THIS TIME.

THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN A RECALL. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 90,000.
I SHUT OF MY CAR ON WEDNESDAY EVENING, WENT IN TO RESTART AND THE IGNITION MADE NO SOUND AT ALL. THE CAR WAS IN PARK BUT THE DASH SHOWED THAT IT WAS STILL IN DRIVE AND THE ALARM WAS ALSO TELLING ME IT WAS NOT IN PARK. THE CAR WAS OBVIOUSLY NOT IN PARK AND COULD EASILY BE MOVED BY A PUSH. I PUT THE PARKING BRAKE ON UNTIL IT COULD BE TOWED. I HAD TO TAKE IT TO FORD AND REPLACE THE SHIFT CABLE TO THE TRANSMISSION. I HEARD OF A RECALL FOR THE SAME ISSUES WITH 2013 FORD FUSIONS BUT THE SERVICE CENTER SAID MY VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED. I FEEL THIS IS A BIGGER ISSUE THAN THEY THOUGHT AND I AM NOT VERY HAPPY.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 FORD FUSION. UPON STARTING THE VEHICLE, THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED AND THE ENGINE TURNED OFF WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE TRANSMISSION CABLE FRACTURED. THE DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN A RECALL. THE CONTACT WAS REFERRED TO NHTSA TO FILE A COMPLAINT. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 159,000.
I DROVE FROM MY HOUSE TO THE HIGHWAY WHICH IS ABOUT 3.8 MILES. I GOT ON THE HIGHWAY AND AFTER A ABOUT A MINUTE OR TWO, I STARTED HEARING A WEIRD FAINT NOISE. I LOOKED AROUND THINKING IT WAS MAYBE A CAR NEAR ME, AND I SAW SMOKE STARTING TO COME OUT FROM UNDER THE HOOD. THANKFULLY THE REST STOP WAS LESS THAN HALE A MILE AWAY. I GOT TO THE REST STOP, PARKED THE CAR AND SMOKE STARTED TO COME OUT FROM THE UNDER THE DASHBOARD. I HAD JUST FILLED THE CAR WITH GAS THE NIGHT BEFORE, SO I MADE SURE TO KEEP MY DISTANCE WHILE WAITING FOR THE FIRE DEPARTMENT TO ARRIVE. THE FRONT OF THE CAR QUICKLY WENT UP IN FLAMES. THE FIRE DEPARTMENT ARRIVED AND PUT THE FIRE OUT BEFORE THE WHOLE CAR DISINTEGRATED. THERE WAS NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHT, NO WARNING SIGNS AT ALL. I HAD TAKEN THE CAR TO FORD LAST OCTOBER FOR A RECALL, WHICH I THOUGHT WAS TAKEN CARED OF. I HAD CALLED FORD, BUT THEY STATE THE RECALL WOULD NOT CAUSE AN ENGINE FIRE, SO THEY WILL NOT OWN UP TO IT. I HAVE ALWAYS MAINTAINED MY CAR, SO THERE'S NO REASON THAT I CAN THINK OF THAT WOULD MAKE THIS HAPPEN. PLEASE HELP ME, I KNOW IN MY HEART THAT THIS IS SOMETHING FORD SHOULD TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR. THIS COULD HAPPEN TO SOMEONE ELSE, WHO MAY END UP GETTING INJURED SEVERELY FROM IT. LET'S PREVENT THIS FROM HAPPENING
MY CAR WAS ON PARK AND THE CAR KEPT GOING REVERSE. I PRESSED ON THE BRAKES AND PUT THE EMERGENCY BREAKS ON. NOW MY CAR IS STRANDED IN A STREET. I CALLED A COUPLE FORD DEALERSHIPS AND EITHER THEY HAD A 6 MONTH WAITLIST OR DON'T HAVE THE PARTS TO FIX THE CAR. NOW I'M STUCK PAYING OUT OF POCKET TO FIX IT BECAUSE I NEED MY CAR FOR WORK AND I CAN'T WAIT MONTHS TO FIX THE CAR OR BRING IT TO ANOTHER STATE TO GET IT POSSIBLE LOOKED AT. THEN I WOULD BE STRANDED IN ANOTHER STATE WITH NO CAR. THANKS FORD.
POWER STERRING ASSIST
MY 2013 FORD FUSION HYBRID STEERING WHEEL WAS LOOSE AND FELT LIKE IT WAS ABOUT TO COME OFF WHILE DRIVING. THE STEERING WHEEL WOULD WOBBLE SIDE TO SIDE AND WAS NOT SECURE. THIS HAPPENED WHILE DRIVING ON THE EXPRESSWAY. I TOOK MY VEHICLE TO A FORD DEALER IN WEST PALM BEACH, FLORIDA. I LEARNED THAT FORD HAD RECENTLY ISSUED A RECALL (FORD REF # 18S08) FOR 2014-2018 FORD FUSION LOOSE STEERING WHEELS. MY 2013 FUSION HAS EXACTLY THE SAME PROBLEM. THE FORD DEALER ADVISED ME THAT MY STEERING WHEEL PROBLEM IN MY 2013 FORD WAS EXACTLY THE SAME AS IN THE 2014-2018 FUSIONS, BUT SINCE FORD HAD NOT ISSUED A RECALL FOR THE 2013 FUSION, I HAD TO PAY FOR THE REPAIR. THE DEALER CONTACTED FORD AND FORD SAID THEY WOULD NOT COVER THIS DEFECT. THIS IS VERY UNFAIR AND UNSAFE. THE FORD STEERING WHEEL RECALL SHOULD BE EXPANDED TO INCLUDE 2013 FORD FUSIONS. MY FUSION WAS MANUFACTURED IN THE SAME HERMOSILLO, MEXICO PLANT WHERE THE 2014-2018 FUSIONS WERE MANUFACTURED. FORD NEEDS TO ACCEPT RESPONSIBILITY FOR THIS STEERING WHEEL DEFECT IN THE 2013 FORD FUSION AND IMMEDIATELY ISSUE A RECALL ON 2013 FUSIONS BEFORE SOMEONE IS KILLED OR SERIOUSLY INJURED. I FELT AS IF THE STEERING WHEEL OF MY FUSION WAS ABOUT TO COME OFF DUE TO THIS DEFECT. IT IS A VERY SERIOUS SITUATION.
POORLY DESIGNED SEAL AROUND BACK-UP CAMERA HOUSING ALLOWS MOISTURE INTO HOUSING, SENDS FAULTY SIGNAL TO ENGINE WHEN VEHICLE IS STARTED AND SHIFTED TO REVERSE ULTIMATELY SHUTTING DOWN THE ENGINE. THIS DOES NOT HAPPEN 100% OF TIME, BUT IT IS CONCERNING. USUALLY OCCURS DURING/AFTER RAIN, SNOW, OR HIGH HUMIDITY DAYS. THIS DESIGN FLAW ALSO DISABLES THE BRAKES, EMERGENCY BRAKE, AND POWER STEERING. VEHICLE DOES NOT TURN ON RIGHT AWAY AND STARTER CONTINUOUSLY CLICKS UNTIL VEHICLE COMPUTER RESPONDS TO START, KEY FAUB IS THE ONLY WAY I HAVE BEEN ABLE TO START THE VEHICLE AFTER THIS EVENT OCCURS. SOMETIMES THE COMPUTER GETS SO JAMMED UP THAT I MUST COMPLETELY DISCONNECT THE BATTERY AND HARD RESTART THE COMPUTER. WHEN THE ISSUE OCCURS THE VEHICLE CANNOT BE STOPPED AND WILL CONTINUOUSLY MOVE BACKWARDS UNTIL IT STOPS ON ITS OWN, IT HITS SOMETHING, OR THE VEHICLE CAN BE STARTED AGAIN. THIS DID HAPPEN TO ME WHILE I WAS PARKED ON A SLIGHT INCLINE AND MY CAR STOPPED AFTER IT ROLLED IN TO A PARKED CAR, LUCKILY NO DAMAGE OCCURED. AS SOMEONE WHO USED TO BE AN AIRBAG DESIGN ENGINEER I DEFINITELY BELIEVE THIS TO BE A SAFETY ISSUE. A MECHANIC AT THE FORD DEALERSHIP I BOUGHT THE VEHICLE FROM INFORMED ME THAT THIS ISSUE IS KNOWN TO FORD(HE FOUND THE INFORMATION ON HOW TO DIAGNOSE, REPAIR, AND WHAT PARTS TO BUY IN THE REPAIR DATABASE) AND I CALLED FORD TO CONFIRM THAT THEY DO KNOW THIS ISSUE. FORD INFORMED ME THAT THEY DO KNOW OF THE ISSUE, BUT IT IS NOT A SAFETY CONCERN. THIS ISSUE COSTS OVER $800 TO FIX AT A DEALERSHIP. MY EXTENDED WARRENTY WON'T COVER THE COST OF THE REPAIR BECAUSE IT IS CONSIDERED "WATER DAMAGE"
THE DOOR WILL NOT SHUT. I SAW A NEWS REPORT WHERE THE WAS A RECALL BUT FORD SAYS MY CAR WAS NOT ELIGIBLE. CAME OPEN AD I WAS DRIVING.*DT*JB
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 FORD FUSION. THE CONTACT CALLED ON BEHALF OF THE DRIVER AND STATED THAT THE GEAR SHIFTER CABLE OF THE TRANSMISSION BEARING DETACHED WHILE SHIFTING GEARS. THERE WAS NO WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS ABLE TO COAST TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. THE CONTACT POWERED OFF THE ENGINE. THE VEHICLE WAS RESTARTED AND WAS ABLE TO DRIVE NORMALLY. 2013 FORD FUSION DOOR LOCKS. LAT YEAR 2017, I RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE ON THE ABOVE VEHICLE FOR "DOORS OPENING BY THEMSELVES WHILST DRIVING. WELL, JUST PRIOR TO GETTING THE LOCKS REPLACED, MY REAR PASSENGER DOOR FLEW OPEN UPON TURNING A CORNER ON A BUSY MAIN ROAD AND THANKFULLY MY PASSENGER WAS WEARING A SEATBELT AS THEY ALMOST FELL OUT OF THE CAR. I HAD THE LOCKS REPLACED BY THE DEALERSHIP ON JANUARY 24TH 2017. WELL, TO MY SURPRISE LAST SUNDAY JULY 8TH, 2018, MY WIFE WAS IN THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT AND AGAIN, I TURNED A CORNER ON A BUSY MAIN ROAD AND THE DOOR FLEW OPEN WHILE I WAS DRIVING. SHE TOO ALMOST FELL OUT OF THE CAR. I CALLED THE DEALER AND THEY ORDERED A NEW FRONT DOOR LOCK AND REPLACED IT YESTERDAY JULY 10TH 2018. HOWEVER, I WAS INFORMED THAT FORD WOULD NOT COVER THE COST AND I WAS CHARGED $257.21. THE DEALER SAID THAT THEY CONTACTED FORD WHO REFUSED TO PAY FOR IT BECAUSE THEY SAID THAT THEY HAD ALREADY REPLACED THE LOCKS IN 2017. I CALLED FORD AND THEY TOLD ME THE SAME THING AND REFUSED TO REIMBURSE ME FOR THIS. THIS COULD HAVE RESULTED IN MY WIFE'S DEATH AND I NEED SOME HELP RECTIFYING THIS PROBLEM. REAR CENTER SEAT BELT GETS STUCK IN LOCKED AND WILL NOT RELEASE. TRAPPING OCCUPANT OR LOCKING THE 60 SEAT IN DOWN POSITION. MULTIPLE ONLINE COMPLAINTS WITHOUT RESOLUTION OR RECALL. MOST RESULTED IN SEAT BELT BEING CUT AND OWNER PAYING FOR IT. OUR VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY AND SEAT IS STUCK DOWN DUE TO LOCKED SEAT BELT.
WHILE DRIVING MY FUSION I SUDDENLY NOTICED A LOUD SOUND AND THEN MY TRANSMISSION STARTED SHIFTING VERY ROUGHLY. I WAS OUT OF TOWN AND EVERY STOPLIGHT IT TOOK AN EXTENDED PERIOD OF TIME FOR THE CAR TO SHIFT WHEN TRYING TO TAKE OFF. AFTER ABOUT 30 MINUTES I PULLED INTO A DEALERSHIP TO SEE IF IT WAS SAFE FOR ME TO CONTINUE HOME. I WAS ADVISED THAT IT WAS NOT AND THAT I WOULD NEED A WHOLE NEW TRANSMISSION.
THE FRONT PASSENGER DOOR LATCH (WILL NOT CATCH OR LOCK). IT HAS A FAULTY LATCH LEAVING DOOR TO FLY OPEN. IT WILL ONLY LOCK ON IT'S OWN AFTER PUTTING THE VEHICLE IN DRIVE AND DRIVE FOR A FEW MINUTES AND THEN IT LOCKS. VERY DANGEROUS.

I BELIEVE THE TURN SIGNAL STOCK IS FAULTY. I WAS ON THE HIGHWAY ONE TIME WHEN I DISCOVERED THE BLINKERS WHERE NOT WORKING. COULD OF CAUSED A ACCIDENT! ONLY HAVE 40,000 MILES ON CAR. TOOK IT TO THE FORD DEALER AND SHOWED MANAGER AND AGREED SOFTWARE PROBLEM. NO TROUBLE CODE CAME UP ON SCANNER.

I WAS DRIVING CAR INTO A PARKING STALL. STOPPED, PUT CAR IN P, TURNED OFF ENGINE AND RELEASE THE FOOT BRAKE...AND THE CAR STARTED ROLLING FORWARD. APPLYING THE FOOT BRAKE STOPPED THE ROLLING, HOWEVER, WHEN I TRIED TO START THE CAR TO BACK IT UP, THE ERROR MESSAGE READ (SOMETHING LIKE) "TRANSMISSION NOT IN PARK, CANNOT START CAR". THE SHIFTER WAS CLEARLY IN PARK, SO I JIGGLED IT WITHOUT ANY SUCCESS. THE CAR WOULD NOT START OR COME OUT OF P (ON THE SHIFTER). WHEN THE EMERGENCY ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE FROM GEICO GOT TO THE CAR, IT WAS DETERMINED THAT THE TRANSMISSION LINKAGE HAD FAILED. THEY WERE ABLE TO ZIP TIE THE CONNECTION, SO I COULD TAKE IT TO A REPAIR SHOP (WHERE IT IS RIGHT NOW). IT APPEARS THAT THIS LINKAGE PIECE IS DEFINITELY A "WEAK LINK" IN A CRITICAL SYSTEM. NO ACCIDENT, BUT VERY MUCH A SERIOUS PROBLEM. THE CAR HAS ABOUT 41,000 MILES ON IT.

LUCKILY HE WAS ABLE TO MANHANDLE THE CAR TO A PARKING LOT. ACCORDING TO THE DEALERSHIP, THE CAR IS NOT AFFECTED BY A PREVIOUS RECALL INVOLVING THIS SAME ISSUE.
