As I was driving my kids home from school, my car suddenly started to make a loud whining noise every time I accelerated. Eventually, the car stopped accelerating altogether despite me pushing on the gas pedal. To my surprise and my children's fright, the car suddenly jerked forward, nearly causing a collision with the car in front of us. In order to reassure my children and assess the situation, I pulled over to the side of the road. Although I didn't find any visible damage under the hood, the loud whining noise persisted even after restarting the car and attempting to accelerate. I got an email from carfax that there was a recall on my vehicle for brake lines, upon research I confirmed with my VIN & called Ford of Janesville, they told me in March there was no remedy yet, more than a month has passed and there is still no remedy this poses a huge safety risk to drive due to brake fluid leaking out & potentially causing the brakes to not function & cause an accident. Prior to the recall notification my brakes randomly started making a very loud disturbing noise not caused by brake pads/rotors as my vehicle has been inspected by a mechanic employed through the city of Milton. This causes a very serious and dangerous risk to my driving and the driving of others in the event my brakes do not work anymore.

My trunk keeps opening on it's own. With the keys on me, not in my hands. Without the keys on me. While driving, while not driving, just completely at random. My trunk is continuously opening. From my research this seems to be a pretty common thing for this make and model of car, and I think it's time that it be recalled and fixed. It's not safe from a driving standpoint nor a personal safety standpoint.

Camera. Sometimes the camera is on while I am driving forward and it's dangerous. Yes No No
After a rear-end collision, my passenger front air bag light comes on intermittently. Because of this, I don't know if the air bag was compromised or if the collision caused a faulty sensor. I can't get an answer from Ford.
After a rear-end collision, my check engine light came on. I have been told it is due to a problem with the purge valve; however, the purge value is located in the front of the vehicle. I am concerned that a rear-end collision can cause this vehicle damage to the emission system that is coded incorrectly, or a rear-end collision can cause damage to the car's computer system causing it to throw faulty codes.
