MY CAR IS JERKING AND THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT HAS NOT COME ON IT HAS BEEN SINCE JULY AND THEY CAN'T TELL ME BUT IT A RECALL ON THE 2.0 LITER BUT NOT ON MINE FOR A 2.5 TORQUE CONVERTER THAT IS THE PROBLEM AND THE GUY AT FORD PLACE SAID IT WOULD BE 2700 TO FIX I WOULD RATHER RUN IT IN A RIVER WOW
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2017 FORD FUSION. ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS, WHILE DRIVING BETWEEN 30 AND 70 MPH, THE VEHICLE STALLED WITHOUT WARNING. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO RESTART THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO MANLEY'S BELVIDERE FORD LINCOLN (1800 N STATE ST, BELVIDERE, IL 61008, (815) 544-2138) TO BE DIAGNOSED, BUT THE MECHANIC WAS UNABLE TO RETRIEVE A FAULT CODE. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT A SOFTWARE UPDATE WAS PERFORMED; HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND PROVIDED CASE NUMBER: CAS-22298025. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 21,108.
SO, I HAVE COMPLAINED TO FORD ON 3 SEPARATE OCCASIONS ABOUT MY GEAR SHIFT MALFUNCTIONING. WHEN I PUT IT INTO DRIVE, THE GEAR WILL GO BACK INTO PARK AND START FLASHING. OR IT WILL START DRIVING AND GO BACK INTO PARK AFTER MOVING. IT'S CRAZY. THEN, FORD SERVICE HAS TOLD ME MULTIPLE TIMES THAT THEY CAN'T FIND ANYTHING WRONG. NOW THERE IS A RECALL FOR THE EXACT SAME ISSUE. I EVEN HAD WANTED THEM TO TAKE THE CAR BACK BECAUSE I DIDN'T FEEL SAFE, BUT THEY SAID IT HADN'T BEEN LONG ENOUGH AND THEY COULDN'T FIND ANYTHING WRONG. AGAIN, NOW THERE IS A RECALL FOR THE EXACT ISSUE. ALSO, MY WINDOWS ROLL BACK DOWN AFTER I ROLL THEM UP. THEY WILL DO THIS SEVERAL TIMES UNTIL THEY STOP. AGAIN, FORD SAID THEY CAN'T FIND ANYTHING WRONG.
AS I WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY MY CAR ENGINE STARTED CUTTING OUT AND CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. REPLACED SPARK PLUGS, FUEL FILTER AND COIL PACK. PROBLEM DID NOT RESOLVE. TOOK CAR TO CHAPMAN FORD IN SCOTTSDALE AZ. THEY FOUND THAT THE FUEL INJECTOR IN CYLINDER 2 HAD STUCK OPEN FLOODING THE CYLINDER WITH GASOLINE AND COMPROMISING LUBRICATION IN THAT CYLINDER. REPAIR REQUIRES REMOVING ENGINE AND REBUILDING IT. VEHICLE ONLY HAS 70,000 MILES ON IT OF WHICH 95% IS HIGHWAY MILES. IF I WOULDN'T HAVE KNOWN TO SWITCH IT TO SPORT MODE AND KEEP THE RPM UP UNTIL I COULD GET TO A SAFE LOCATION IT COULD HAVE STALLED ON THE HIGHWAY CAUSING A COLLISION. AFTER DOING RESEARCH ONLINE FOUND THAT THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM WITH THE ECOBOOST 4 CYLINDER MOTOR AND SHOULD BE A RECALL ITEM. FORD REFUSING TO PAY FOR REPAIRS ON A CAR THAT'S JUST OVER 2 YEARS OLD. WITH PREVIOUS FORD VEHICLES I HAVE ALWAYS BEEN OFFERED AN EXTENDED WARRANTY BUT WAS NOT ON THIS VEHICLE.
I ATTEMPTED TO BRAKE BUT THE ENGINE STARTED RACING. THE ONLY WAY TO STOP IT WAS TO THROW IT INTO PARK, I TURNED THE ENGINE OFF AND IT RESTARTED IT. THE ENGINE RACED AGAIN AND THE ONLY WAY TO STOP IT BEFORE IT HIT ANOTHER CAR WAS TO TURN THE CAR OFF SINCE THE BRAKES COULD NOT OVERRIDE THE RACING ENGINE. I RESTARTED THE CAR AGAIN AND THE ENGINE WAS FINE. IT HAS RUN FINE FOR THE LAST 100 MILES. THE DEALER COULD FIND NOTHING WRONG WHEN I BROUGHT THE CAR IN .
VEHICLE STUCK IN NEUTRAL WON'T SHIFT GEARS
YESTERDAY I WAS PARKED AT WORK, I GOT INTO MY CAR AND MY SERVICE ADVANCE TRAC LIGHT AND STEERING ASSIST FAULT LIGHT CAME ON. MY STEERING WHEEL WAS LOCKED AND I COULD NOT TURN THE WHEEL. I HAD NO WARNING AND NO PROBLEMS LEADING UP TO THIS.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2017 FORD FUSION. WHILE DRIVING AT 70 MPH THE VEHICLE OVERHEATED AND THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE THE SPARK PLUGS, TRANSMISSION, HEAD GASKET, AND ENGINE WERE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO (CRESCENT FORD 100 OLD WINSTON RD, HIGH POINT, NC 27265 (336) 869-2181) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED AND THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT A CALIBRATION WAS NEEDED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED HOWEVER NO FURTHER ASSISTANCE WAS PROVIDED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 80,000.
THE WINDOWS GO UP AND DOWN BY THEMSELVES AND YOU CAN'T PUT THEM UP ALL THE WAY OR THEY WILL GO BACK DOWN BY THEMSELVES AND THEIR IS SOME KIND OF INTERFERENCE IN THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM THAT COMES THROUGH THE STEREO AND LIGHTS. AND THIS SAME PROBLEMS HAPPENED 2 TIME'S BEFORE THIS DATE BELOW SO IT HAPPENED 3 TIMES

TAKATA RECALL - I DONT KNOW IF THAT APPLIES TO MY CAR. MY WIFE HAD AN ACCIDENT ON MARCH 12 2019 WHERE SHE HIT A TREE. THE IMPACT WAS SO MUCH THAT THE CRADLE OF THE BODY WAS DAMAGED. MY INSURANCE COMPANY IS GEICO , DECLARED THE CAR AS TOTAL LOSS. THE REASON THAT I AM WRITING THIS COMPLAINT IS THAT CAR AIRBAGS DID NOT INFLATE THEY WERE NOT ACTIVATED. WHEN YOU SEE THE PICTURE OF DAMAGE YOU WILL BE AMAZED WHY THIS MUST HAVE HAPPENED. WHEN I REPORTED THIS TO FORD THEY SAID THIS IS YOUR CASE NUMBER CAS17428626 AND SOMEONE WILL GET IN TOUCH WITH YOU SHORTLY. NOBODY HAS GOT IN TOUCH THEY HAVE MY EMAIL ID THEY HAVE MY PHONE NUMBER AND MY HOUSE ADDRESS NOTHING NOT A SINGLE RESPONSE. WHEN WE TALK ON THE PHONE THEY ARE LIKE EVERYTHING WILL BE DONE RIGHT AWAY BUT THE RIGHTAWAY IS LIKE A SUMMER DAY IN THE MONTH OF JANUARY WHICH NEVER COMES. I EVEN TOLD THEM JUST INCASE IF I DONT PICK UP THE PHONE PLEASE LEAVE A VOICEMAIL OR EVEN A MESSAGE SO THAT I CAN GET BACK TO YOU QUICKLY. SO FAR NO ONE HAS RESPONDED. FRANKLY I AM DISAPPOINTED IN THEIR HANDLING OF MY CASE AND ALSO THIS IS AMERICA WHERE SAFETY IS NEVER COMPROMISED SO WHY DID IT HAPPEN TO ME OR WHY SHOULD IT HAPPEN TO ANYONE WHO HAS A SIMILAR CAR LIKE MINE.
I TOOK MY VEHICLE TO MULLINAX FORD OF OLYMPIA FOR A SQUEAK DURING SUSPENSION JOUNCE. THEY TRACED THE PROBLEM TO A BRAKE LINE RUBBING ON THE SWAY BAR. THEY ALLEGEDLY FIXED THE ISSUE. ON MARCH 5, 2019, I EXPERIENCED A COMPLETE HYDRAULIC FAILURE OF THE VEHICLE'S BRAKE SYSTEM. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO SKYLINE FORD IN SALEM, OR FOR REPAIRS AND THEY FOUND A BRAKE LINE FAILURE DUE TO RUBBING THE VEHICLE'S SWAY BAR. I BELIEVE THERE IS THE POTENTIAL FOR THIS TO BE A WIDESPREAD ISSUE AND AM REQUESTING A FULL INVESTIGATION DUE TO THE VOLUME OF FORD FUSION VEHICLES ON THE ROAD AND THE SEVERITY OF A BRAKE HYDRAULIC FAILURE. THE ISSUE MAY BE CONFINED TO "SPORT" MODELS WHICH MAY HAVE A LARGER FRONT SWAY BAR THAN OTHER FUSION MODELS. MY VEHICLE HAS OVER 50,000 MILES WHICH IS ABNORMALLY HIGH FOR A 2017 MODEL YEAR VEHICLE. AS OTHER VEHICLES OF THIS TYPE ACQUIRE THE MILEAGE MY VEHICLE HAS, MORE MAY BE SUBJECT TO THIS TYPE OF FAILURE. THE SPORT MODEL WAS NOT PRODUCED BEFORE 2017
I HAVE HAD MY BATTERY REPLACED A NUMBER OF TIMES MY CAR LOSES POWER OFTEN HAS TO BE JUMP STARTED. THE CRUISE CONTROL ACTIVATES ITSELF SPEEDING ME UP AND SLOWING ME DOWN AND THE RADIO NO LONGER WORKS ACTUALLY NONE OF THE CONTROLS ON THE STEERING WHEEL AND OR THE RADIO WORK

UNKNOWN STATIONARY, BRAKING AT TRAFFIC SIGNAL - VEHICLE SHUT OFF, DISPLAYED ENGINE LIGHT AND WRENCH. VEHICLE PUT IN PARK AND RESTARTED. DISPLAY READ SEE MANUAL, SERVICE ADVANCE TRAC. VEHICLE PUT INTO PARK AND RESTARTED. UNKNOWN. VEHICLE HAS SHUT OFF 7 TIMES, DATE PROVIDED IS THE LAST DATE THE VEHICLE SHUT OFF. THIS ISSUE HAS BEEN GOING ON FOR OVER A YEAR. VEHICLE DOES NOT STORE CODES. DEALER SAYS THERE IS NOTHING THEY CAN DO BECAUSE THE VEHICLE "DOESN'T THROW A CODE" BEEN TO THE DEALER 4 TIMES AND THERE HAS BEEN NO ATTEMPT TO REPAIR. NOTIFIED FORD MOTOR COMPANY TWO SEPARATE TIMES - FORD HAS CLOSED MY CASE BECAUSE THE DEALER CANNOT DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM. CURRENTLY VEHICLE HAS A FLIGHT RECORDER INSTALLED BY THE DEALER.
I BOUGHT A BRAND NEW FUSION 2017 HAVE AROUND 79,500 MILES ON IT NOW IT'S BEEN TWO YEARS. LAST WEEK THE CAR WRENCH LIGHT CAME ON BUT IT WOULD COME OFF AND ON AS I WOULD DRIVE THE CAR WOULD PLOW WHEN ACCELERATION RANDOMLY ON THE HIGHWAY WHEN I WOULD BE DRIVING IN THE CITY AND CAME TO A RED LIGHT THE CAR WOULD STALL AND REV BUT WOULDN'T GO SAME WHEN I WOULD BE TURNING SLOWING DOWN IT WOULDN'T GO. IT DOESN'T HAVE COVERAGE ON WARRANTY BECAUSE IT EXCEEDS THE MILES I BOUGHT A NEW CAR SO I WOULDN'T HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT A TRANSMISSION I'M STILL PAYING THE CAR AND THE DEALERSHIP IS TELLING ME IT COST 5,000 PLUS OTHER FEES FORD MOTOR COMPANY DOESN'T WANT TO PAY FOR A FAULTY TRANSMISSION, THEY SOLD ME A BAD TRANSMISSION!NOW I'M PILED WITH FEES OF RENTAL BECAUSE THEY DON'T EVEN WANT TO GIVE A COURTESY RENTAL ! THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO DISCOVERED COOLANT INSIDE CYLINDER NUMBER ONE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO PEORIA FORD (9130 W BELL RD, PEORIA, AZ) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE ENGINE WAS FAULTY AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE, BUT NO ASSISTANCE WAS OFFERED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 59,000. THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN.
The contact owns a 2017 FORD Fusion. The contact stated while attempting to start the vehicle it requires a jumpstart. The contact stated no warning lights was illuminated. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was informed of failure and told the contact was not included in a recall. The failure mileage was approximately 10,000.
PRIMARY CONCERN: CAR LOSES ALL PROPULSION AND GOES INTO ACCESORY MODE WHEN ACCELERATING. I, AS WELL AS SEVERAL OTHERS WITH 2017 FORD FUSION SPORT MODELS, HAVE LOST TOTAL POWER WHILE LEAVING RED LIGHTS, STOP SIGNS, AND WORST OF ALL, MERGING ONTO THE HIGHWAY. MY CAR DIED UNDER NORMAL ACCELERATION WHILE ATTEMPTING TO MERGE ON THE HIGHWAY, AND WHILE PULLING AWAY FROM A STOP SIGN, ON TWO DIFFERENT OCCASIONS, MONTHS APART FROM EACH OTHER. A MEMBER OF OUR FACEBOOK GROUP OF FUSION SPORT OWNERS CAPTURED HIS CAR LOSE ALL POWER, ON VIDEO, AND HIS CAR IS BEING BOUGHT BACK BY FORD, BUT THAT IS NOT ENOUGH. THESE CARS, ALTHOUGH FUN AND ENJOYABLE, POSE A SERIOUS THREAT TO NOT ONLY THE OWNERS OF THE CAR, BUT ALSO TO OTHER DRIVERS ON THE ROAD WHO COULD HIT US FROM BEHIND, INJURING OF KILLING PASSENGERS IN EITHER VEHICLE, OR VEHICLES NEARBY. I HAD DRIVEN THE CAR THE PREVIOUS DAY AND PARKED IT IN MY DRIVEWAY AND THE CAR WAS COMPLETELY DEAD THE NEXT MORNING. I HAD REPLACED THE BATTERY ONLY 4 MONTHS PRIOR. IT WAS A NEW BATTERY. I TOOK IT TO THE FORD DEALERSHIP IN UPLAND AND THEY TESTED STARTING AND CHARGING SYSTEM CIRCUITS-CHARGE-TEST NOTHING CAME UP. I HAD CHARGED THE BATTERY EARLIER THAT DAY TO GET THE CAR TO THE DEALERSHIP. THIS IS THE SECOND TIME THE CAR HAD COMPLETELY DISCHARGED THE BATTERY AND BOTH TIMES THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG WITH THE BATTERY.

STATIONARY VEHICLE - DEALER COULDN'T ROTATE THE TIRES BECAUSE THE LUG NUTS WERE SWOLLEN. I WAS TOLD THAT I COULD BUY NEW LUG NUTS FOR $140.00. THE TECHNICIAN STATED THAT THERE IS A CLASS ACTION LAW SUIT AGAINST FORD FOR THE LUG NUT ISSUE. POTENTIAL PROBLEM WOULD BE IF I HAD A FLAT WHILE ON THE ROAD AND COULD NOT FIX BECAUSE THE LUG NUTS WERE SWOLLEN, WHICH COULD CAUSE SAFETY ISSUE.

FIESTA FORD (78990 VARNER RD, INDIO, CA 92203, 760-772-8000) WAS CONTACTED AND CONFIRMED THAT THE PARTS WERE NOT AVAILABLE FOR THE RECALL REMEDY. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. PARTS DISTRIBUTION DISCONNECT.
STEERING WHEEL BECAME NOTICEABLY LOOSE AND WOBBLY WHILE DRIVING.

THE BATTERY WAS REPLACED THREE TIMES BY THE CONTACT. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN UNKNOWN DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE SOFTWIRE CONNECTION, F33 AND ACM NEEDED TO BE UPDATED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE CONTACT MENTIONED COMMUNICATION NUMBER: SSM 48757110000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM) AS A POSSIBLE SOLUTION TO THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 481.
I FIRST NOTICED WHEN I WAS IN REVERSE THE CAR STALLED THEN A WRENCH TOOL APPEARED ON THE DASHBOARD. I PUT THE CAR IN PARK THEN PROCEEDED TO SHIFT TO DRIVE AND DROVE OFF. THAT OCCURRED SPORADICALLY UNTIL 12/14/2018 WHEN A SHIFTSYSFAULT APPEARED ON THE DASHBOARD. I STARTED TO DRIVE OUT OF A PARKING LOT AFTER I PUT THE CAR IN REVERSE BUT THE GEAR SHIFTED TO PARK ON IT'S OWN AS I WAS DRIVING. BOTH ME N MY PASSENGER TRIED SHIFTING THE GEAR WITHOUT SUCCESS. I TRIED OVERRIDING THE GEAR ACCORDING TO THE MANUAL AND YOUTUBE VIDEO BUT IT WOULD NOT COME OUT OF PARK. CONTINUOUSLY SHIFTING TO PARK FROM NEUTRAL, REVERSE AND DRIVE ON IT'S OWN WHICH CAUSED ME TO PAY FOR A TOW TRUCK TO GET HOME. ONCE HOME I WAS ABLE TO PUT THE CAR IN NEUTRAL THEN DRIVE SO I COULD PARK IT BETTER HOWEVER A NEIGHBOR ATTEMPTED TO OVERRIDE THE COMPUTER BY UNPLUGGING THE BATTERY THEN REATTACHING IT WHEN ANOTHER ALERT APPEARED SAYING ENGINE COOLANT WAS AT A HIGH TEMPERATURE AFTER THE CAR HAD BEEN OFF FOR 2HRS. THE CAR WAS TOWED TO THE DEALERSHIP THE NEXT DAY AND I'M WAITING FOR A RESPONSE ON SERVICING.
AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION SHIFT STUCK IN PARK. ATTEMPTED TO OVERRIDE PER USERS MANUAL AND FORD DEALERSHIP SERVICE TECHNICIAN WITH NEGATIVE RESULTS. THE VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY AND HAD BEEN SHUTDOWN. THIS OCCURRED WHEN ATTEMPTING TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE AFTER STARTING IT.
RANDOMLY UPON STARTING THE CAR NONE OF THE DASHBOARD CONTROLS WORK INCLUDING HVAC CONTROLS, RADIO OR WINDOW CONTROLS, MEMORY SEATS ALSO.

THE CONTACT ATTEMPTED TO PLACE THE VEHICLE IN THE DRIVE POSITION AND THE GEAR BECAME STUCK IN THE PARK POSITION. ALSO, THE "SHIFT SYSTEM FAULT, SEE MANUAL" MESSAGE APPEARED. IN ADDITION, THE DEALER REFERENCED NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 18V471000 (POWER TRAIN) AS A POTENTIAL CAUSE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND REFERRED THE CONTACT TO NHTSA. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 71,000.
VEHICLE (FORD FUSION) HAD JUST STARTED TO PROCEED FORWARD FROM MEDIAN TURN AREA ONTO CITY STREET TO TURN LEFT WHEN 2ND VEHICLE (TOYOTA CAMRY) SWOOPED AROUND ANOTHER VEHICLE TRAVELING APPROXIMATELY 45 MPH AND HIT AFFECTED VEHICLE (FORD FUSION) ON FRONT DRIVERS SIDE (BUMPER AND ENTIRE DRIVERS SIDE FRONT QUARTER PANEL). SPUN BOTH VEHICLES AROUND AND AFFECTED VEHICLE (FORD FUSION) WAS PROPELLED INTO THE OTHER VEHICLE (TOYOTA CAMRY). IMPACT CAUSED FRONT DRIVERS SIDE TIRE TO DETACH, NO AIR BAGS DEPLOYED WHICH RESULTED IN THE HEAD OF THE DRIVER OF AFFECTED VEHICLE (FORD FUSION) TO HIT THE DRIVERS SIDE WINDOW WITH ENOUGH FORCE TO SPIDER SHATTER THE WINDOW LEAVING AN IMPRINT OF DRIVERS HEAD IN THE WINDOW. DRIVER WAS TRANSPORTED TO HOSPITAL AND INJURIES WERE MINOR THUS FAR. STILL SEEKING MEDICAL ATTENTION. IMPACT WAS SUFFICIENT ENOUGH THAT 2ND VEHICLE (TOYOTA CAMRY) DID DEPLOY ALL AIRBAGS.

I WAS BACKING OUT OF MY DRIVEWAY AND THE CAR DID NOT GO MORE THAN 10 FEET BACKWARDS WHEN THE WHOLE SYSTEM SHUT DOWN AND HAD TO RESTART. IT TOOK MORE THAN 10 MINUTES TO RESTART AND IT TOOK 3-4 TIMES OF PUTTING ON THE BRAKE AND PUSHING THE START BUTTON BEFORE THE SYSTEM WOULD RE-INITIATE. THIS WAS THE SECOND TIME THE CAR HAD DONE THIS AND THE WHOLE SYSTEM AND TO RE-START. I TOOK IT TO THE FORD DEALERSHIP IN UPLAND, CA AND THEY DID A SYSTEM/CHARGING CIRCUITS-CHARGE-TEST AND NOTHING CAME FROM THE TEST. THE CAR IS STILL UNDER WARRANTY BUT SINCE THEY DID NOT FIND ANYTHING IT COST ME $ 95.
ON MAY 13, 2017 OR THERE ABOUT MY 2017 FORD FUSION FROM A STOPPED DURING TAKE OFF ACCELERATED VERY FAST ALMOST CAUSING ME TO RUN INTO THE REAR OF ANOTHER VEHICLE. ON MAY 15, 2017 I TOOK MY CAR IN FOR SERVICE AND TOLD TECHNICIAN ABOUT IT. HE COULD NOT FIND A PROBLEM. AGAIN ON SEPTEMBER 20, 2017 I TOOK MY CAR IN SPECIFICALLY TO HAVE THE ACCELERATION PROBLEM CHECKED OUT AND AGAIN NO PROBLEM WAS FOUND. I WAS TOLD TO BRING THE VEHICLE IN SOON AS IT HAPPENED. ON OCTOBER 10, 2017 TAKING OFF FROM A STATIONARY POSITION I TOOK OFF AFTER LIGHT TURNED GREEN AND THE CAR JUST TOOK OFF ACCELERATING IN A CURVE CAUSING ME TO LOOSE CONTROL AND I RAN INTO A TREE.
ALMOST EVERYTIME I PUT MY CAR INTO REVERSE, IT PUTS ITSELF BACK TO PARK. IT HAPPENS SOMETIMES WHEN I PUT IT INTO DRIVE- IT WILL PUT ITSELF BACK INTO PARK.I TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY REPLACED THE ACTUATOR, BUT IT IS STILL DOING IT.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VIN AND FAILURE MILEAGE WERE NOT AVAILABLE.
RECALL ON BOLT WITH STEERING WHEEL
I WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY UTILIZING THE ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL. IT WAS SET TO 55 OR 65. I WENT TO CHANGE FROM THE RIGHT LANE TO THE LEFT LANE AND MY VEHICLE STARTED ACCELERATING QUICKLY. I WAS COMING ON TO ONCOMING TRAFFIC WAY TOO QUICKLY TO AVOID HITTING THE VEHICLE IN FRONT OF ME I HAD TO SWERVE AND HIT THE CEMENT MEDIAN. IT ALL HAPPENED SO QUICKLY I'M NOT SURE IF I WAS EVEN ABLE TO TRY AND HIT THE BRAKES AT ALL. I SEARCHED THE FORD WEBSITE AND HAVEN'T FOUND ANY RECALLS FOR MY VEHICLES YEAR. I THOUGHT I SHOULD REPORT THIS RIGHT AWAY SO OTHER DRIVERS ARE AWARE. THIS IS SECONDARY TO HAVING TO HAVE THE BATTERY REPLACED AND ELECTRICAL SYSTEM RESET....AND THE STEERING WHEEL BOLT REPLACED! I WISH I COULD GIVE THIS CAR BACK. SO SCARED TO GET BACK IN IT.
RECEIVED THE VEHICLE WITH APPROX 64 MILES ON IT IN AUG 17. AT 70 MILES, I WAS STOPPED AT A STOP SIGN, WENT TO PULL THROUGH AND THE ENGINE MADE A FUNNY SOUND AND THEN THE CAR LOST POWER. WHEN I ATTEMPTED TO ACCELERATE, THE ENGINE REVED HIGH BEFORE THERE WAS MOVEMENT OF THE VEHICLE. SHUT THE CAR OFF AND TURNED IT BACK ON AND THE ORANGE WRENCH LIGHT WAS ILLUMINATED. CAR HAD NO POWER AND HAD TO LIMP IT TO A PARKING LOT. CAR WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER AND I WAS INFORMED THEY REPLACED THE SENSOR. NOW A YEAR LATER (13 AUG 18) WITH APPROX 4K MILES ON THE VEHICLE, I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM. ORANGE WRENCH LIGHT AND NO POWER. THIS TIME THE VEHICLE WAS GOING UP A HILL AT 10 MPH AND THE ENGINE "CLUNKED", LOST POWER. WAITING ON A TOW TO THE DEALER FOR "REPAIR". THANKFULLY THE CAR IS UNDER WARRANTY HOWEVER, THIS SHOULD NOT HAVE HAPPENED TO A VEHICLE WITH 70 MILES AND AGAIN AT 4K MILES. I HOPE FORD TAKES NOTICE OF THIS PROBLEM. I'M GLAD THESE EVENTS HAPPENED IN CITY CONDITIONS AND NOT WHILE I WAS ON THE HIGHWAY.
IN MAY 2017 MY FORD FUSION SPORT LOST POWER TO THE WHEELS WHILE ACCELERATING, I WAS ABLE TO BRAKE AND COAST TO A STOP ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. TURNED VEHICLE OFF AND ISSUE WENT AWAY. TOOK CAR TO BOB RORHMAN DEALERSHIP IN SCHAUMBURG IL, FORD AND DEALERSHIP STATES NTF, NO TROUBLE FOUND, FORD CORPORATE SERVICE MANAGERS ALSO SAID NTF, CASE FILE 12313619-N2S9X3. ON AUGUST 7TH, 2018 THE ISSUE HAPPENED AGAIN AS I WAS LEAVING WORK, I ACCELERATED AND CAR WENT INTO LIMP MODE. I PROCEEDED TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AS I WAS GETTING HONKED AT BY OTHER DRIVERS, TURNED CAR OFF AND ON AND THE ISSUE WENT AWAY. I OPENED A NEW CASE FILE WITH FORD CAS15469320 ON 8/9/2018. THE ETB HAS BEEN AN ISSUE IN THE PAST, REFERENCE 'CUSTOMER SATISFACTION PROGRAM (13N03)'. I DEEM THIS A CRITICAL SAFETY CONCERN, IF I WAS A FORD ENGINEER ON MY FMEA THIS FAILURE MODE SEVERITY IS A 10, I WORK IN AUTOMOTIVE. I HAVE PHOTOS AND VIDEOS OF THE INCIDENT.

The vehicle was taken to the dealer who diagnosed that there was a coolant intrusion into the engine. The engine was replaced under warranty. The contact stated that the failure became persistent. The contact stated that the failure occurred after driving approximately 5 miles or while driving 45 MPH. The vehicle was returned to the dealer who diagnosed the vehicle with coolant intrusion and that the engine needed to be replaced again. The dealer informed the contact that the VIN was no longer covered under warranty. The vehicle had not been repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and a case filed. The manufacturer confirmed that the VIN was not covered under recall or warranty. The manufacturer referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline to report the failure. The failure mileage was 28,000.
ON FRIDAY, JUNE 29TH 2018, I REMOTE STARTED MY CAR AND WHEN I GOT INSIDE THE CAR I WAS PRESENTED WITH THE WRENCH ICON AND IT SAID TO SEE THE MANUAL. I CHECKED THE MANUAL AND IT SAID THAT IT HAD SOMETHING TO DO WITH A POWERTRAIN FAULT. LIGHT WENT OFF ABOUT 3-5 LATER. AS I WAS DRIVING, I CAME TO A RED LIGHT AND WHEN IT TURNED GREEN, I GAVE IT GAS AND THE CAR WANTED TO STALL (RPM LEVELS DROPPED TO 500 OR LOWER RPM). IT DID IT AGAIN THE SAME DAY, BUT AT A LATER TIME. ALSO, WHEN I START BRAKING THE CAR'S RPM LEVELS GOES UP TO 3-4K RPMS WHEN BRAKING FROM 70MPH AND WHEN BRAKING FROM 40MPH. OCCASIONALLY IT DID IT AT DIFFERENT SPEEDS. I HAVE PROOF ON VIDEO, BUT CAN'T UPLOAD THEM HERE DUE TO FORMAT.

THE FRONT DRIVER SIDE AND PASSENGER SIDE WINDOWS WILL NOT CLOSE FULLY ON OCCASION. IF YOU TRY ROLLING THE WINDOW UP IT WILL AUTOMATICALLY ROLL BACK DOWN TO ABOUT HALFWAY TO 2/3 OPEN. I TRIED TO GET THIS ISSUE CORRECTED AT HE DEALERSHIP ONCE. THE MECHANICS REFUSED TO LOG THE ISSUE AND 'RECALIBRATED' THE WINDOW IN A FEW SECONDS. THE PROBLEM PERSISTS. IT IS A SAFETY ISSUE IN MY OPINION BECAUSE PASSENGERS AND DRIVERS CANNOT CLOSE THE WINDOW IN CASE OF EMERGENCIES. THIS HAS BEEN ONGOING SINCE LAST YEAR.

MY CAR WINDOWS WILL GO UP AND THEN AUTOMATIC COME BACK DOWN. THE RADIO SWITCHS CHANNELS ON ITS OWN. THE CAR STALLS OUT AND WON'T START. THIS HAS HAPPEN AND GOTTEN REPAIRED MORE THAN 6 TIMES IN THE LAST 1.5 YEARS. IT HAS HAPPENED AGAIN THIS PASS WEEKEND. MY LOCAL FORD DEALERSHIP IS GOING TO FIX AGAIN. AS OF NOW I AM PAYING FOR A CAR THAT FORD KEEPS SAYING DOES NOT FIT UNDER THE MARYLAND LEMON LAW. THIS CAR CLEARLY HAS SOME SERIOUS ELECTRICAL ISSUES THAT FORD DOES NOT EVEN UNDERSTAND. I AM PUTTING THE LATEST DATE ON IT, BUT IT HAS HAPPEN MULTIPLE TIMES IN THE LAST YEAR AND A HALF. THESE PROBLEMS OCCUR WHILE DRIVING OR STOPPED AT A LIGHT OR PARKED.
