2025 Ford Maverick Engine Problems

The contact stated that the flames spread to the rear of the vehicle, and she heard and felt two loud explosions. The vehicle was fully engulfed in flames and had also started a fire in another vehicle parked near it, as well as started a fire on the side of the contact's residence. The contact had called the local fire department which extinguished the fire with water. The vehicle was a total loss and was towed to an impound lot. The manufacturer was informed of the failure and referred the contact to file a complaint with the NHTSA Safety Hotline. The failure mileage was approximately 3,400.
