2003 FORD MUSTANG COBRA COUPE: DURING DECELLERATION WHILE SHIFTING OR IN NEUTRAL, CAR STALLS, LOSING POWER STEERING AND BRAKES.*AK
2003 MUSTANG COBRA , 600 PLUS MILES, WAS DRIVING AT AROUND 32 MILES AN HOUR WHEN I PUSHED IN THE CLUTCH TO SHIFT AND THE CAR DIED, WHICH LOCKED UP THE STEERING WHEEL, NEEDLESS TO SAY THIS IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS, AND LUCKILY NO ONE WAS HURT. THE LOCAL DEALER HAS NO CLUE HOW TO FIX THIS, AND SUPPOSEDLY SVT IS WORKING ON A FIX BUT IN THE MEAN TIME THERE ARE OVER 13000 OF THE CARS DRIVING ON THE ROADS WAITING TO CAUSE AN ACCIDENT. PLEASE ADDRESS THIS PROMPTLY THANKS. *LA
STALLING UPON SLOWING DOWN WITH THE CLUTCH FULLY ENGAGED. LOST ALL POWER STEERING AND POWER BREAKING. 2003 MUSTANG COBRA. HAS OCCURRED NUMEROUS TIMES. PROBLEM OCCURS SEMI-FREQUENTLY. HAS BEEN TO THE DEALER ONCE FOR THIS PROBLEM, PROBLEM NOT RESOLVED. *LA
WHILE DRIVING AT AN UNDETERMINED SPEED VEHICLE STALLED, CAUSING THE CONSUMER TO PULL OFF THE ROAD. *AK
MY 2003 FORD MUSTANG SVT COBRA COUPE HAS AN ENGINE STALLING ISSUE. THE ENGINE CAN STALL AFTER FOLLOWING THESE SEQUENCES IN ORDER WHILE OPERATING THE VEHICLE IN MOTION. FIRST I RELEASE MY RIGHT FOOT FULLY FROM THE GAS PEDAL, THEN PRESS IT ONTO THE BRAKE PEDAL, AND WHILE HOLDING ON THE BRAKE PEDAL I ALSO THEN WITH MY LEFT FOOT DEPRESS CLUTCH PEDAL DOWN FULLY, THE CAR MAY THEN STALL, BUT IT DOES NOT ALWAYS DO SO. STALLING CAN OCCUR WHEN THESE SEQUENCES IN ORDER ARE FOLLOWED WHILE OPERATING THE VEHICLE IN MOTION. IF DRIVING INTO AN INTERSECTION, THIS CAN POSE RISK DUE TO LOST VEHICLE POWER STEERING AND POWER BRAKE SYSTEMS IF THE ENGINE HAS STALLED. THE POWER BRAKES ON MY 2003 FORD MUSTANG SVT COBRA ARE BOOSTED BY THE POWER STEERING SYSTEM'S PUMP WHICH IS DRIVEN BY THE ROTATING ENGINE, THE BRAKES ON MY 2003 FORD MUSTANG SVT COBRA ARE NOT POWER ASSISTED BY THE ENGINE'S INTAKE VACUUM WHICH IS VERY COMMON WITH DOMESTIC VEHICLES. WITH A VACUUM POWER ASSIST DESIGN, POWER ASSIST CAN STILL BE AVAILABLE TO THE BRAKE PEDAL EVEN THOUGH THE ENGINE HAS JUST STALLED. ON THE OTHER HAND, WHEN THE ENGINE DRIVEN POWER STEERING PUMP STOPS TURNING WHEN THE ENGINE STOPS TURNING (IE HAS STALLED) ON MY 2003 FORD MUSTANG SVT COBRA, POWER ASSIST TO THE DRIVER TO PUSH ONTO THE BRAKE PEDAL IS LOST AND THEREFORE THE FORCE NEEDED TO PUSH DOWN ONTO THE BRAKE PEDAL IN ORDER TO SLOW THE CAR IS SIGNIFICANTLY MORE. THIS CAN BE A PROBLEM FOR THOSE WHO DO NOT HAVE THE ABILITY TO EXERT ENOUGH FORCE ONTO THE BRAKE PEDAL TO STOP THE CAR IN A TIMELY MANNER FOR THE CIRCUMSTANCES NEEDED IN AN INTERSECTION, SHOULD THE ENGINE STALL. ALSO, OF COURSE, THE POWER STEERING ASSIST TO THE DRIVER IN ORDER TO EASILY TURN THE STEERING WHEEL IS LOST. FORD SHOULD FIGURE OUT WHY THE ENGINE STALLS WHILE THE CAR'S IN MOTION DURING THESE CONDITIONS AND PUT FORWARD AN EFFORT TO FIX IT. THANK YOU. JOE.*AK
2003 FORD MUSTANG COBRA ENGINE STALLS. *LA
WHILE DRIVING AT 40 MPH VEHICLE WAS INVOLVED IN A HEAD ON COLLISION. UPON IMPACT, BOTH FRONT AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. *AK CONSUMER WAS ATTEMPTING TO MAKE A LEFT TURN WHEN ONCOMING VEHICLE TRAVELING TO FAST TO STOP HIT THE CONSUMER. NO INJURIES AND NO ONE WAS CHARGED WITH THE ACCIDENT. CONSUMER'S INSURANCE DIDN'T COVER THE DAMAGES SO HE REQUEST REIMBURSEMENT FOR EXPENSES NOT COVERED. *PH
WHILE DRIVING, THE DRIVERS SEAT BEGAN TO MOVE FORWARD. I DON'T KNOW IF IT DID IT AUTOMATICALLY OR IF IT WAS BUMPED. HOWEVER, THE BUTTON TO MOVE THE SEAT IS IN FRONT OF THE SEAT AND IT STICKS OUT WHICH DID MAKE IT EASY TO BUMP AGAINST ACCIDENTALLY WITH YOUR LEGS WHILE SHIFTING GEARS AND DRIVING. *JB
UNDER HEAVY ACCELERATION TRANSMISSION MAKES CHATTERING/RATTLING SOUND. THE SOUND IS VERY PRONOUNCED. TOOK THE CAR TO THE DEALER, THEY REPLACED THE CLUTCH, REAR DIFF FLUID, OUTPUT SHAFT SEAL AND SEVERAL BEARINGS IN THE TRANS WITH NO LESSENING OF THE EFFECT. DEALER STATED NO REPAIR WAS POSSIBLE. TRANS STILL LEAKS FROM THE OUTPUT SHAFT SEAL, AND STILL MAKES A NASTY RATTLE UNDER ACCELERATION LOADS. POST REPAIR, IT IS DIFFICULT TO SHIFT INTO 2ND GEAR WHEN BEFORE THE TRANS HAS WARMED UP. AFTER A BIT OF WARM UP, THE HARD SHIFT GOES AWAY, THE RATTLE NEVER DOES.
CAR STALLS WITHOUT WARNING. *LA
MY 2003 FORD MUSTANG COBRA STALLED AS I WAS GETTING OFF THE FREEWAY. WHEN I HIT THE CLUTCH AFTER DECELERATING, THE CAR STALLED CAUSING ME TO LOSE BRAKES AND STEERING. IF IT WASN'T FOR THE PEOPLE AT SVTPERFORMANCE.COM, I WOULDN'T HAVE KNOWN OF THIS ISSUE, AND WOULDN'T HAVE BEEN ABLE TO START THE CAR WHILE IT WAS STILL MOVING, NARROWLY AVOIDING SLAMMING INTO A BRICK WALL AT 60 MPH.
TRANS SHIFTING PROBLEMS GRINDING FIRST TO 2ND GEAR AND LOCK OUT SOMETIMES TO THIRD. SOME DIFFICULTY GETTING INTO 2ND ALSO FROM FIRST
2003 FORD MUSTANG COBRA... VEHICLE WILL STALL WITHOUT WARNING WHEN CLUTCH IS DEPRESSED. OFTEN THIS HAPPENS WHEN COMING TO A STOP AND SHIFTING GEARS. WHEN THIS HAPPENS THE BRAKES AND STEERING IMMEDIATELY STOP WORKING. WHEN STOPPING ON AN INCLINE THIS CAN CAUSE A SITUATION WHERE YOU EITHER ROLL INTO THE VEHICLE IN FRONT OF YOU OR OUT INTO THE MIDDLE OF AN INTERSECTION. I HAVE HAD NO ACCIDENTS YET BECAUSE OF THIS BUT I HAVE HAD 1 CLOSE CALL. *JB
CONSUMER STATED THAT NEW MUSTANG'S PASSENGER SIDE AND DRIVER SIDE WINDOWS LEAKED EVERY TIME IT RAINED. SHE TOOK VEHICLE BACK TO THE DEALER 4-5 TIMES, AND THEY COULD NOT FIX IT. CONSUMER CONTACTED THE MANUFACTURER, AND WAS TOLD THAT THE DEALER SHOULD FIX IT, AND AFTER GOING BACK TO THE DEALER, DEALER CLAIMED THAT THE MANUFACTURER SHOULD TAKE RESPONSIBILITY AND HAVE IT REPAIRED. THEN, DEALER/MECHANIC TOLD CONSUMER SHE HAD A LEMON. ALSO, SHE WAS TOLD THAT SINCE WINDOW LEAKAGE WAS NOT CONSIDERED A SAFETY ISSUE NOTHING WOULD BE DONE ABOUT IT.*AK
AT 800 MILES I HAD A CRUNCHING SOUND FROM THE FRONT END. THEY HAD TO REPLACE THE BUSHINGS AND ARMS. DID BOTH SIDES. I HAVE HEARD OTHER MUSTANG OWNER HAS HAD SAME ISSUE. CAN SOMEONE CHECK INTO THIS? *AK
SEAT BELT DOES NOT RETRACT PROPERLY.*AK

JUST BOUGHT MY MUSTANG IN AUGUST OF 2003. PAINT WAS PEELING OFF FRONT BUMPER BEFORE I EVEN PICKED UP CAR. THEN HAD TO HAVE FRONT END REPLACED BECAUSE OF A DEFECTIVE SUSPENSION. NOW MY AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION IS SLIPPING. *LA
THE STEERING WHEEL VIBRATED. CONSUMER TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER, AND THEY ROTATED THE TIRES. THE PROBLEM GOT WORSE. THEN, CONSUMER TOOK THE VEHICLE BACK TO DEALER SEVERAL TIMES, AND THE FOLLOWING HAD BEEN DONE; THE FRONT END, REAR END REALIGNED, AND WHEEL BALANCED. THEN, VEHICLE BROKE DOWN, AND WAS TOWED. REAR END WAS REPLACED SINCE IT WAS CRACKED. VIOLENT STEERING WHEEL SHAKING STILL EXISTS. *AK
MANUAL TRANSMISSION SERIES 3650 ON 2003 FORD MUSTANGS GRIND AND/OR LOCK OUT UPON SHIFTING INTO 2ND GEAR AS WELL AS IN TO THIRD AS THE PROBLEM CONTINUES.*AK
WHILE DRIVING FLOORBOARDS VIBRATE VIOLENTLY, CAUSING IMPAIRED VISION OF REAR VIEW MIRROR. DEALER STATES, THEY HAVE NO SOLUTION FOR THIS PROBLEM.*AK
1998 FORD MUSTANG GT CONVERTIBLE UNDER WARRANTY, THE DRIVER'S SEAT BELT (LAP PORTION) BECAME SEVERELY FRAYED. BELT (AND MAYBE ENTIRE ASSEMBLY) WAS REPLACED BY DEALER. DON'T HAVE AN EXACT DATE - BUT WITHIN THE FIRST YEAR OF OWNERSHIP. *AK NOW, AT 5 YRS 4 MO OF AGE, THIS BELT IS AGAIN FRAYING.
DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD ABOUT 35 MPH AND PUT ON THE BRAKES AND THE CAR SHUT OFF (SHUTTING OFF THE POWER STEERING AND POWER BRAKES). THIS HAS HAPPENED TO ME TWICE. THE SECOND TIME WAS A COUPLE OF DAYS AGO I WAS GETTING OFF THE INTERSTATE AND WHEN I APPLIED THE BRAKES THE CAR SHUT OFF, I WAS LUCKY THERE WAS NOBODY IN THAT INTERSECTION... *JB
2003 SVT FORD MUSTANG COBRA CONVERTIBLE KEEPS STALLING AT STOP WITH CLUTCH FULLY DEPRESSED, DOES IT MOST WHILE RUNNING AIR CONDITIONING DURING HOT WEATHER, THE CAR HAS LESS THAN 1000 MILES ON IT AND HAS STALLED 7 TIMES, ONCE NEARLY REAR-ENDING THE CAR IN FRONT OF ME DUE TO NO POWER STEERING OR BRAKES. OUR LOCAL DEALER HAS HAD SEVERAL COMPLAINTS (SAME) AND HAS ME SCHEDULED TO GO IN LATE JULY TO "REFLASH THE COMPUTOR" THOUGH IT HASN'T MADE MUCH DIFFERENCE ON OTHER FRIENDS COBRAS. PLEASE HELP !!!!!!
DT*: THE CONTACT STATED WHEN TURNING ON THE A/C SYSTEM, THE CONDENSATION DRIPPED ON THE EXHAUST PIPE CONTINUOUSLY AND RUSTED OUT THE PIPE.
I PURCHASED A 2003 FORD MUSTANG ON JUNE 20, 2003. SINCE THEN I HAVE HAD IT IN THE REPAIR SHOP TWO TIMES, GOING BACK FOR A THIRD ON SEPT. 3, 2003 FOR THE AIR CONDITIONING UNIT. IT WORKS FOR A WEEK OR TWO THEN STARTS BLOWING WARM AIR. THE FIRST TIME I WAS TOLD IT DIDN'T HAVE FREON, THE SECOND TIME THE COMPRESSOR WAS TAKEN OUT AND I WAS GIVEN A NEW ONE. I WON'T KNOW UNTIL I GO BACK FOR THE 3RD TIME WHAT THE PROBLEM NOW IS.
VEHICLE EXPERIENCED SUDDEN ACCELERATION WHILE DRIVING WITHOUT ANY WARNING. DEALER NOTIFIED. *AK
I JUST PURCHASED MY CAR APRIL 21,2003. I ALREADY NEED THE STEERING WHEEL REPLACED DUE TO GAPPING. THERE IS A LOUD NOISE UNDER THE PASSENGER SIDE FENDER THAT SOUNDS LIKE I HIT SOMETHING. MY CIGARETTE LIGHTER DOESN'T WORK, AND MY WINDOW IS OFF TRACK.*AK
I OWN A 2003 MUSTANG GT 5-SPEED. IT HAS DIED NUMEROUS TIMES AND AFTER THE FIRST TIME I CALLED THE FORD CONSUMER HOTLINE AND WAS BRUSHED OFF. BUT THEY DID REFER ME TO A LOCAL DEALER, THE SAME DEALER THAT LESS THAN 10MINS AFTER THE FIRST FAILURE TOOK MY CAR FOR A SHORT SPIN AND SAID THAT MY CAR WAS A LITTLE LOW ON GAS AND THAT WAS THE LIKELY CAUSE. I WAS DRIVING APPROX. 35MPH AND WAS NOT ON THE CLUTCH OR ACCELERATING. IT JUST DIED. THIS IS AN EXTREMELY DANGEROUS PROBLEM AND NEEDS TO BE ACKNOWLEDGED. I FINALLY HAD A DEALER DIAGNOSE THE PROBLEM AND THEY REPLACED MY CARS IAC VALVE. MY CAR HAS STILL DIED SEVERAL TIMES BUT NOW ITS WHEN COMING TO A STOP AND ITS BEEN ISOLATED. I FEEL THAT A TSB OR RECALL ON THIS LONG OVERDUE.
2003 FORD MUSTANG SVT COBRA. THIS IS MY SECOND 2003 COBRA (THE FIRST WAS INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT). BOTH COBRA'S HAVE AND HAD PROBLEMS WITH STALLING, WHICH CAUSES A NEAR COMPLETE LOSS OF BRAKING POWER (THE BRAKES MUST HAVE THE ENGINE RUNNING IN ORDER FOR THEM TO WORK, UNLIKE SOME VEHICLES), WHICH IS POTENTIALLY EXTREMELY HAZARDOUS TO MY SAFETY, AS WELL AS ANY OTHER VEHICLE, PEDESTRIAN, CHILDREN, OR ANIMAL NEAR ME. IT HAPPENS ON DECELERATION AT LOW SPEEDS DRIVING AROUND TOWN. THERE IS A MASSIVE AMOUNT OF DOCUMENTS GOING ON THAT SHOWS NEARLY 40% OR MORE OF 2003 COBRA OWNERS ARE HAVING THE SAME ISSUES. FORD HAS UPDATED THE PCM 2 TIMES ALREADY FOR THE 2003 MODEL YEAR, AND THE PROBLEMS STILL EXIST! THE COVER DOES NOT FIT PROPERLY. I HAVE CALLED AS WELL AS VISITED MY LOCAL FORD DEALERSHIP CONCERNING THIS PROBLEM. I HAVE ALSO CONTACTED FORD IN MICHIGAN(WHERE THE CAR WAS BUILT). THE PROBLEM IS THE CONTROL ARMS AND BUSHINGS ON THE FRONT END OF THE CAR. WHENWE BRAKE ALL YOU CAN HEAR IS A LOUD CRUNCHING NOISE. WE GOT IT FIXED ONCE IN JUNE AT 7003 MILES AND IT BROKE AGAIN AT 8484 MILES IN JULY. THE DEALER AND FORD REFUSE TO FIX THE PROBLEM EVEN THOUGH IT IS UNDER WARRANTY BECAUSE THEY CLAIM IT WILL BREAK AGAIN AND AGAIN. IT IS A DEFECT IN THE CAR. QUOTE FROM FORD IT WILL COST US TO MUCH MONEY.
SEAT BELTS BOTH SIDES NEVER WORKED TO THIS DAYY. I TOOK THE CAR BACK TO THE DEALER TWICE THEY NEVER FIXED THE PROBLEM.THE BELT S WILL NOT RETRACT INTO THE HOLDER BELTS LAY DOWN GET STUCK IN DOOR AND DANGLE OUT SIDE CAR
FREQUENT STALLING WHEN IN A DECELERATION MODE - COASTING UP TO A TRAFFIC LIGHT - PRESSING IN THE CLUTCH WHILE BRAKING. THE IDLE SPEED DROPS TO ABOUT 500 RPM, AND THEN EITHER CATCHES ITSELF AND IDLES UP, OR DOES NOT, AND STALLS OUT. THIS HAS HAPPENED IN TURNS, AND THIS HEAVY CAR IS HARD TO TURN WHEN THE POWER STEERING IS INACTIVATED BY THE STALLED ENGINE. *NLM
CONSUMER STATED THAT WHEN HIT AT 35MPH IN THE FRONT DRIVER SIDE OF THE VEHICLE THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. DEALER NOTIFIED. *AK
2003 COBRA. VEHICLE STALLS DURING DECELERATION. TYPICAL SCENARIO INVOLVES LIGHT TO MODERATE BRAKING WHILE OUT OF GEAR. CLUTCH ENGAGEMENT WILL NOT RECOVER CAR. BRAKES RAPIDLY FADE AND VEHICLE LOSES STEERING CAPABILITY. OCCURRED AT LEAST 2-3 TIMES A WEEK FROM DATE OF PURCHASE, JULY 02. ABATED DURING WINTER MONTHS AND RETAINED IN SPRING. DEALER DUPLICATED STALL BUT NO REPAIR AVAILABLE. STILL STALLS TO DATE. *TT

THE CAR SOMETIMES STALLS AND THE BRAKES AND POWER STEERING TURN OFF. VERY DANGEROUS, I ALMOST GOT HIT BY A SEMI TRUCK. *JB
PROBLEMS WITH VEHICLE'S TRANSMISSION.*MR THE FIRST TIME THE CONSUMER TOOK THE VEHICLE IN FOR SERVICE WAS FOR A NOISY TRANSMISSION AND IT WAS RUNNING ROUGH. THE DEALER WAS UNABLE TO FIND A PROBLEM BUT TOPPED OF THE FLUID AND REPROGRAMMED THE PCM. THE DEALER INSTRUCTED THE CONSUMER TO CONTINUE DRIVING THE VEHICLE AND IT WOULD WORK ITSELF OUT. THE SECOND VISIT WAS FOR THE TRANSMISSION AGAIN, HOWEVER THIS TIME IT WAS GRIDING BETWEEN FIRST, SECOND AND THIRD GEARS WHEN COLD. 2003, COBRA SVT CONVERTIBLE, THE CAR STALL WHEN DECELERATING TO A STOP WHEN THE TAKEN FROM A GEAR TO NEUTRAL WITH THE CLUTCH IN/OUT AND DEPRESSING THE BRAKES. THE DEALER WAS ABLE TO HAVE THIS OCCUR ON A TEST RIDE, THEY HAD NO ANSWER TO WHY THIS HAPPENS. THEY ADDED A DEVICE THAT I HAVE TO PUSH WHEN THIS OCCURS SO I CAN CAPTURE A PICTURE OF THE CARS COMPUTER IS DOING WHILE THIS OCCURS. I HAVE SEEN A NUMBER OF OTHER 03 COBRA OWNERS WITH THE SAME PROBLEM. FORD NEEDS TO HAVE A TSB ON THIS SOON THIS CAR HAS BEEN IN PRODUCTION OVER A YEAR. THIS CAUSES A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION, LOSING POWER BRAKES AND STEERING.
RECENTLY PURCHASED A 2003 MUSTANG GT CONVERTIBLE AND THE DEALERSHIP CANNOT SEEM TO GET THE TOP TO STOP LEAKING. I RECENTLY FILED A REPORT WITH THE DISPUTE SETTLEMENT BOARD TO GET FORD TO REPLACE THE CAR. HOWEVER, IT RECENTLY RAINED AND I ATTEMPTED TO CONTACT THE DEALERSHIP TO CONTINUE THE WARRANTY WORK ON THE CONVERTABLE TO INCLUDE REPLACING THE FRONT SEATS DUE TO WATER SPOTS. DEALERSHIP TELLS ME THEY CANT SERVICE THE CAR BECAUSE IT IS CURRENTLY WITH THE DISPUTE SETTLEMENT BOARD, FORD TELLS ME IT IS STILL MY CAR TO GET IT SERVICED. I AM AT A TOTAL LOSS, IF FORD WANTS TO DROP NEW SEATS IN THE CAR EVERY TIME IT RAINS THAT IS FINE THEY CAN WASTE THE MONEY. I LOVE THE CAR BUT THE DEALERSHIP HAS ACKNOWLEDGED THAT THEY CANNOT FIX THE PROBLEM. DISPUTE SETTELEMENT BOARD STATES THEY CAN'T HEAR MY CASE UNTIL THE END OF AUGUST. WELL BY THEN THE CAR WILL BE FULL OF MOLD SMELL FROM THE RAIN AND THE SEATS WILL LOOK WORSE THEN THEY DO NOW......*AK
I HAVE A 2003 SVT MUSTANG COBRS THAT HAS A STALL PROBLEM. IT CUTS OFF RANDOMLY AND WHEN THIS HAPPENS I LOSE POWER TO THE BRAKING AND STEERING SYSTEMS. IT HAS HAPPEN SEVERAL TIMES IN TRAFFIC AND I HAVE BEEN LUCKY TO NOT HAVE HIT SOMEONE. THIS STARTED HAPPENING THE DAY I PICKED THE CAR UP AND TO DATE I HAVE NOT RECEIVED A FIX ONLY PUT OFFS.
TREMEC 5 SPEED TRANSMISSION HAS ERRATIC PERFORMANCE WHEN SHIFTING GEARS. MY RESEARCH ON THIS HAS INDICATED THAT THERE IS A SEVERAL YEAR HISTORY OF MANY CARS WITH THIS TRANSMISSION (MUSTAND GT AND COBRA ) THAT HAVE THIS PROBLEM. I HAVE HAD THE TRANSMISSION REPLACED BY FORD DEALER ONCE BUT WITH NO DIFFERENCE AND FORD CONSUMER HELP LINE HAD YIELDED NO RESULTS. THIS HAPPENS MORE FREQUENTLY IN WINTER WHEN FLUID IS MORE VISCOUS AND BLOCKING RINGS HAVE BEEN IDENTIFIED BY DEALER AS POTENTIAL CAUSE. HAS BEEN HAPPENING CONTIUOUSLY SINCE I HAVE OWNED VEHICLEL FOR OVER A YEAR AND 28,000 MILES.

From all the research I have done on my vehicle, it has the Takata airbag inflators that uses phase‑stabilized ammonium nitrate without a desiccant which should have been in the Nationwide Ford vehicle recall. I am the original owner of my 2003 Mustang Mach 1 and it has never had the airbags replaced and I have never received a recall notice. I had Ford run an OASIS report on my VIN and they tell me there is no recall for my car. I told them the reports don't show data past 15 years. After all these years I thought I was safe because my car never showed it had the Takata recall, so I didn't think mine had them. Now after watching a YouTube documentary and doing research, I am now afraid to drive my car. What can be done about this?

THE CAR IS A 2003 SVT FORD MUSTANG COBRA CONVERTIBLE. A CALL TO FORD'S SVT DIVISION HAD NO SOLUTIONS. MANY PEOPLE THAT I KNOW WITH THE SAME CAR ARE EXPERIENCING THE EXACT SAME PROBLEM.
