TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 FORD MUSTANG. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FUEL INDICATOR LAMP ILLUMINATED AND REMAINED ILLUMINATED FOR TWO WEEKS. THE VEHICLE LOST MOTIVE POWER DURING ACCELERATION. THE CONTACT HAD RESEARCHED ONLINE AND BECAME AWARE OF A TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN: 10019387 (FUEL SYSTEM GASOLINE), WHICH DESCRIBED THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT ALSO MENTIONED THAT THE PARKING BRAKE CABLE CEASED WHICH CAUSED THE REAR BRAKES TO DRAG. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO MIRACLE FORD, 1394 NASHVILLE PKE, GALLATIN, TN 37066 FOR REPAIRS. THE VEHICLE WAS ALSO TAKEN TO TOWN AND COUNTRY FORD, 101 ANDERSON LANE MADISON TN, 37115 FOR ADDITIONAL REPAIRS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 174,000.
I WAS GOING 25 MPH ABOUT TO MAKE A LEFT TURN AT STOP SIGN LET OFF GAS STEPPED ON BRAKES IT DID NOT SLOW DOWN PUSHING HARDER I FELT LIKE IT WAS ON THE ROTORS BUT DID NOT SLOW DOWN TILL A BMW HIT MY FRONT END. I HAVE HAD SAME ISSUES WITH STEERING WHEEL WOBBLE WHEN BRAKES APPLIED SOMETIMES. I PUT NEW FRONT WHEEL BEARINGS AND ROTORS AND SWAPPED WHEELS AROUND IT STILL WOBBLED SOMETIMES AND SOMETIMES NOT. I SUSPECT PROBLEM WITH TRACTION CONTROL SYSTEM
IN THE MORNING, WHEN IT IS FREEZING OUTSIDE, MY EMERGENCY BRAKES WILL NOT RELEASE. I HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL IT WARMS UP OUTSIDE BEFORE I CAN DRIVE MY CAR. IT HAS HAPPENED ON TWO SEPARATE OCCASIONS, AFTER SITTING IN MY DRIVEWAY STATIONERY ALL NIGHT LONG. *TR
LIVING IN BOSTON ON DECEMBER 18TH I WENT OUT TO MY 2006 MUSTANG GT 4.6 LITER IT WAS PARKED AND I ENGAGED THE CAR TO START. THE PARKING BRAKE WAS NOT WORKING CORRECTLY WAS VERY LOOSE. AND IT IS NEVER LIKE THAT. BRAKES FEEL STIFF IN BACK FEELS LIKE A TOUGHING,,,I WAS ON A SMALL EMBANKMENT IN NEUTRAL AND CAR DID NOT ROLL BACK AT ALL. MY CAR IS STILL UNDER THE EXTRA CARE EXTENDED WARRANTY. 3 WEEKS AGO I WAS SITTING AT A TRAFFIC LIGHT I PUSHED THE CLUTCH IN, TO PUT INTO FIRST GEAR AND GOT READY FOR THE LIGHT TURN GREEN, WHEN MY CAR SUDDENLY LUNCHED AND THE CLUTCH MASTER CYLINDER PART PA6-GF25 BROKE . PART NUMBER PA6-GF25 BROKE AND WAS LYING INSIDE THE DRIVER SIDE INTERIOR FLOOR. I CAN'T BELIEVE FORD USED A PLASTIC PIECE PART PA6-GF25 TO HOLD THE CLUTCH PEDAL TO THE CLUTCH MASTER CYLINDER. AFTER CLOSE INSPECTION I NOTICE THAT DUE TO STRESS OVER TIME IT WAS BROKEN IN HALF. I COULD HAVE SERIOUSLY INJURED ME OR SOME ELSE, WHEN MENTION IT TO GALPIN FORD, THEY SAID IT'S NOT THERE PROBLEM THEY WANTED TO CHARGE ME 450 DOLLARS TO FIX THE PROBLEM, MY CAR IS STILL IN THE SHOP AND MY BILL IN GOING TO BE OVER A 1000 DOLLARS AND THEY DON'T WANT TO COVER IT UNDER THE WARRANTY EITHER, I READY FOR TO FILE A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT AND A RECALL CAN SOMEONE HELP ME WITH THIS OR KNOWS OTHER PEOPLE WHO EXPERIENCED WITH THE SAME PROBLEM. *TR
PREVIOUSLY FILED COMPLAINT ODI# 10319368. PARKING BRAKE WILL NOT DISENGAGE, PASSENGER SIDE REAR BRAKES AND ROTOR HAD TO BE REPLACED AT THE TUNE OF $200. THAT WAS 4 WEEKS AGO AND IT IS HAPPENING AGAIN. GOOGLE 2006 MUSTANG DEFECTS AND THIS SEEMS TO BE A COMMON ISSUE DUE TO A FAULTY RUBBER BOOT. I BOUGHT THE CAR USED FROM A FORD DEALER (IT HAD 4000 MILES ON IT AND LESS THAN A YEAR OLD. MOST PLACES WANT TO CHARGE SEVERAL HUNDRED DOLLARS TO REPLACE. VEHICLE HAS 31,000 MILES, THIS IS CRAP! *TR
AFTER THE UNUSUALLY COLD WEATHER MY REAR BRAKES ARE NOT WORKING AS WELL AS THEY WERE BEFORE. THE BRAKE PADS HAVE BEEN REPLACE 3 MONTHS PRIOR. THE EMERGENCY BRAKE IS NOW LOOSE. NOW THAT THE TEMPERATURE IS WARMER,THE EMERGENCY BRAKE LEVER IS STILL LOOSE AND IT STILL FEELS LIKE I AM ONLY BRAKING WITH MY FRONT BRAKES. THE BRAKES ON MY 2006 FORD MUSTANG LOCKED UP TWICE THIS WINTER. THE BRAKES PADS AND ROTORS NEED TO BE REPLACED AND ARE DANGEROUS TO DRIVE WITH. THE VEHICLE HAS LESS THAN 25,000 MILES ON IT. I DRIVE A 2006 FORD MUSTANG. I HAVE HAD A BRAKE PROBLEM SIMILAR TO THE PROBLEM THAT THE TOYOTA PRIUS RECALL IS HAVING. WHEN I AM TURNING OUT OF A PARKING LOT AND HIT A BUMP, THE BRAKE GIVE OUT. I TOOK IT IN TO HAVE IT LOOKED AT STARTING IN OCTOBER 2007, BUT THE DEALERSHIP LOOKED AT THE BRAKES AND SAID NOTHING WAS WRONG. THEY WOULDN'T EVEN RECORD IT IN THEIR COMPUTERS. THE PROBLEM HAS ONLY BEEN REPLICATED WHEN TURNING AND HITTING A BUMP SIMULTANEOUSLY. THE BREAK PEDAL GIVES OUT AND DEPRESSES ALL THE WAY WITHOUT PROVIDING ANY BREAKING. I HAVE TO REMOVE MY FOOT AND RE-APPLY THE BRAKE FOR IT TO WORK AGAIN. *JB
ON THE 27TH OF MAY 2006 I TOOK MY MUSTANG GT WITH ONLY 1,069 MILES TO BRUNSWICK FORD. THE CAR WAS SHIFTING LIKE A 95 GT HARD TO SHIFT ON THE WAY MY FUEL JET PUMP WENT OUT. THEY FIXED THE JET PUMP BUT SAID THE TRANS WAS FINE. AT 3,556 MILES I TOOK IT BACK FOR THE TRANSMISSION . IT WAS MAKING A WINDING SOUND THEY REPLACED THE INTERNALS AND THE NOISE WAS STILL THERE. SO THEY REPLACED THE TRANSMISSION. THEY HAD TO BLEED THE CLUTCH 4 TIMES TO GET IT TO SHIFT HALF WAY RIGHT .NOW AT 5,713 MILES THE REAR CALIPER WAS STICKING. THE REPLACED THE CALIPER. AND IT LEFT ME STRANDED AT WORK WITH A STUCK CALIPER. THIS IS A MUSTANG GT NOT A PINTO AND FORD NEEDS TO COME UP WITH A PLAN TO FIX THIS CAR. *NM

HESITATION AT ACCELERATION AND UNINTENDED ACCELERATION. HESITATION WAS NOT CORRECTED AT DEALERSHIP, I CORRECTED THROUGH COMPUTER REPROGRAM WITH DIABLO PROGRAMMER TO DECREASE AMOUNT OF THROTTLE DELAY, HESITATION GONE. UNINTENDED ACCELERATION CORRECTED BY MODIFYING THE BRAKE PEDAL TO INCREASE DISTANCE BETWEEN GAS AND BRAKE PEDALS WHICH ARE EXTREMELY TO CLOSE, SOLVED PROBLEM. DEALERSHIP MECHANICS ARE INEPT AND UNSKILLED. TOOK ME HALF HOUR TO IDENTIFY AND CORRECT PEDAL ISSUE. *TR
