TAKARA INFLATORS: MY COMPLAINT IS THAT I AM HAVING A DIFFICULT TIME GETTING MY LOCAL FORD DEALERSHIP TO TAKE CARE OF THE RECALL BECAUSE I DID NOT BUY THE CAR FROM THEM. I HAVE BEEN ON A WAITING LIST FOR OVER A YEAR. I CALLED AGAIN YESTERDAY AND HAD TO PUT MY NAME ON THE LIST AGAIN! TAKATA RECALL. FORD HAS YET TO FIX MY PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG. THEY PREDICT THEY "MIGHT HAVE" REPLACEMENT PARTS IN THE SPRING OF 2018 BUT THE LETTER RECEIVED ONLY STATES SELECT VEHICLES. THEIR REMEDY IS TO NOT HAVE ANYONE SIT IN THE PASSENGER SEAT. IT IS A FORD MUSTANG. THE BACKSEAT IS NOT BIG AT ALL AND IS ONLY COMFORTABLE IF YOU HAVE A DOUBLE AMPUTEE BACK THEIR. HOW IS MY WIFE WHO IS CLAUSTROPHOBIC SUPPOSED TO RIDE WITH ME? THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE. THIS WILL ALSO EFFECT IF I EVER WANT TO TRADE IT IN OR RESELL MY VEHICLE AS IT IS A POTENTIAL DEATH TRAP FOR A PASSENGER. FORD HAS TAKEN A 4 PASSENGER CAR THAT IS REALLY ONLY FOR 2 PEOPLE COMFORTABLE AND MADE IT A ONE SEATER.
