THE REAR PASSENGER POWER DOOR UNLOCKED WHICH CAUSED THE DOOR TO OPEN WHEN A TURN WAS MADE. *JB
THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WAS INTERMITTENT, AND THE HEAD GASKET FAILED. TSB 398-4-9 WAS FOUND IN REFERENCE TO 1998-1995 MODELS ARE PRONE TO FAILURE. THE CONSUMER REQUESTED REIMBURSEMENT. MR SCC *JB
VEHICLE EXPERIENCED THE SAME DEFECT WITH THE HEADLIGHT CIRCUIT BREAKER AS STATED IN NHTSA RECALL 98V009000. THIS VEHICLE WAS NOT COVERED UNDER THE RECALL DUE TO VIN. *AK
THERE MAY BE A POTENTIAL DESIGN DEFECT IN THE LIGHT SWITCH IN THE CONSUMER'S 1993 FORD TAURUS. *PH THE PART WOULD BECOME SO HOT THAT IT WOULD MELT IN THE DASHBOARD, AS THE SWITCH STARTED TO GO BAD, THE LIGHTS WOULD GO OFF WHILE DRIVING. THE HEADLIGHT SWITCH WAS REPLACED FOR A THIRD TIME. THE CONSUMER REQUESTED REIMBURSEMENT. *SC *JB
HEADLIGHTS FLICKERED ON AND OFF. THIS MALFUNCTION OCCURRED INTERMITTENTLY EVERY TWENTY MINUTES. *AK
THE HORN NOR THE CRUISE CONTROL BUTTONS WORKED IN THE STEERING WHEEL HUB. *PH CONSUMER FELT THAT THERE'S NO NEED TO FIX THE PROBLEM AT ONCE EVEN THOUGH IT WAS SUCH AN INCONVENIENCE ON HIS BEHALF. AFTER TEN MONTHS OF OWNERSHIP OF VEHICLE PURCHASED FROM E-BAY, VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO REPAIR FACILITY TO HAVE STEERING CONTROLS FIXED. MECHANIC CALLED CONSUMER AND WAS INFORMED THAT AIR BAG HAD BEEN REMOVED FROM STEERING WHEEL HUB AND REPLACED WITH FOAM TO SIMULATE THE SHAPE OF THE AIR BAG. CONSUMER WAS ABLE TO HAVE AIR BAG INSTALLED INTO STEERING WHEEL HUB ALONG WITH THE REPAIRS ON HORN AND CRUISE CONTROL. CONSUMER NOW ASKING IF IT'S AGAINST FLORIDA OR FEDERAL LAW TO SELL A CAR WITH THE AIR BAG EITHER UNIONIZATION OR INOPERATIVE AND NOT INFORM THE BUYER. *LA
VEHICLE EXPERIENCED SUBFRAME CORROSION. ALSO, THE BOLT THAT ATTACHED THE MOUNT TO THE SUBFRAME WAS MISSING. A RECALL WAS ISSUED. HOWEVER, THIS VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL DUE TO VIN. *AK
