CAR STALLS WITHOUT WARNING WHILE DRIVING. HAS HAPPENED TWICE SINCE I BOUGHT THE CAR THIS SPRING. ONCE I WAS COMPLETING A TURN FROM A STOP THE OTHER TIME I WAS DOING A CONSISTENT SPEED OF ABOUT 40MPH. NO WARNING LIGHTS BEFORE OR AFTER, JUST A NOTIFICATION THE 'TRANSMISSION NOT IN PARK' ONCE THE CAR WASN'T RUNNING. EACH TIME THE DEALER PUT IT ON THE COMPUTER AND SAID THERE IS NO ISSUE FOUND. THERE IS A RECALL FOR 2013-1015 TAURUS HOWEVER MY VIN ISN'T INCLUDED IN THE FUEL PUMP ELECTRIC MODULE REPLACEMENT THOUGH STALLING IS AN ISSUE CITED IN THAT RECALL. DEALER SAYS THERE IS NO PROBLEM WITH THE FUEL PUMP ELECTRIC MODULE BECAUSE THE COMPUTER SAYS SO. I LEFT MY CAR AT THE DEALERSHIP FOR ABOUT 3 WEEKS THINKING IT MIGHT BE AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM SINCE THE GPS INTERMITTENTLY DOESN'T WORK THE PANIC ALARM GOES OFF MULTIPLE TIMES A WEEK FOR NO REASON. DEALER SUGGESTS REPLACING THE SD CARD. I AM AFRAID TO DRIVE MY CAR, ESPECIALLY WITH THE DEATHS RECENTLY FROM CARS STALLING. I WILL MOST LIKELY PAY OUT OF POCKET TO CHANGE THE FUEL PUMP ELECTRIC MODULE AS I CAN'T AVOID THE HIGHWAY FOREVER. I WILL BE HAPPY TO SEND YOU THE PART ONCE IT IS REPLACED IF IT WILL HELP INVESTIGATE THE PROBLEM. HOPEFULLY THAT WILL SOLVE THE PROBLEM, OTHERWISE I AM NOT SURE WHAT TO DO. HELP PLEASE! I DON'T HAVE POLICE REPORTS OR ACCIDENT PHOTOS THANKFULLY.
2015 FORD TAURUS UNDER 93,000 WATER PUMP FAILURE. NO WARNINGS WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY. STARTED TO OVER HEAT AND COOLANT WAS PORING OUT UNDERNEATH. HAD IT TOWED TO A FORD DEALERSHIP AND WAS TOLD THE WATER PUMP NEEDS REPLACED. OVER $2000 DOLLARS FOR THIS FIX. THE WATER PUMP SHOULD LAST UNTIL 150,000. FORD KNEW IT WAS AN ISSUE AND NEEDS TO STEP UP AND FIX IT. CURRENTLY STILL IN GARAGE TRYING TO FIGURE OUT WHAT I'M GOING TO DO.

THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT LOT AND THE TOW TRUCK DRIVER STATED THAT THE FUEL PUMP WAS INOPERABLE. THE CONTACT CALLED ACADEMY FORD (13401 BALTIMORE AVE, LAUREL, MD 20707, (800) 658-7794) AND INFORMED THEM OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND REFERRED THE CONTACT TO THE LOCAL DEALER. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 80,000.
MY 2015 FORD TAURUS WAS OPERATING UNDER NORMAL CONDITIONS WHEN TWO WARNINGS APPEARED ON THE DASH. ONE FOR A STEERING ASSIST FAULT AND ONE FOR AN ADVANCETRAC SERVICE BEING REQUIRED. I WAS DRIVING ON A COUNTRY ROAD AS THIS OCCURRED AND APPROACHING A SHARP CURVE. AS THESE LIGHTS ILLUMINATED THE POWER STEERING WAS LOST WHILE OPERATING AT SPEEDS ABOUT 60 MPH. LUCKILY I WAS ABLE TO SAFELY BRING THE VEHICLE TO A STOP. WHEN I WENT TO THE FORD DEALER TODAY THEY ADVISED THAT THAT THIS IS A COMMON ISSUE WITH FORDS ELECTRONIC POWER STEERING SYSTEMS AND THAT EXTENDED COVERAGES ARE AVAILABLE ON SOME MODELS TO REPLACE THE FAULTY ITEMS HOWEVER THE 2015 TAURUS IS NOT COVERED. I WORK IN LAW ENFORCEMENT SO I AM A WELL TRAINED DRIVER AND IT IS BECAUSE OF SAID TRAINING THAT I WAS ABLE TO AVOID A COLLISION WHEN THIS SYSTEM FAILED HOWEVER IT IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS AND I WOULD BE FEARFUL THAT THIS COULD HAPPEN TO A LESS TRAINED DRIVER AND HAVE CATASTROPHIC RESULTS.

I WAS DRIVING AT HIGHWAY SPEED WHEN MY ENGINE DIED AND THE WRENCH LIGHT CAME ON. THE CAR STALLED VERY RAPIDLY. LUCKILY I WAS ABLE TO MAKE IT TO THE SHOULDER BEFORE AN ONCOMING TRAFFIC COULD COLLIDE WITH ME. AFTER RESTARTING MY CAR, I WAS ABLE TO DRIVE HOME WITHOUT FURTHER INCIDENT. THIS PROBLEM HAS HAPPENED MULTIPLE TIMES SINCE. I CHECKED AND MY MODEL IS NOT ELIGIBLE FOR RECALL 16V621000. I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY FORD IS NOT RECALLING ALL TAURUS OF THIS YEAR RANGE AS THE PROBLEM DOES NOT SEEM ISOLATED TO JUST THE ECOBOOST ENGINES. THERE ARE MANY PEOPLE REPORTING THE SAME ISSUE WITH NON-ECOBOOST ENGINES. THIS IS NOT RIGHT TO GAMBLE WITH PEOPLE'S SAFETY. I WOULD REALLY HOPE THAT THE NHTSA TAKES THIS SERIOUSLY.

THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE FUEL PUMP SENDING UNIT FAILED. THE TECHNICIAN INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THERE WAS AN UNKNOWN RECALL REGARDING THE FUEL PUMP SENDING UNIT. THE VEHICLE WAS LATER TOWED TO FORD OF PORT RICHEY (10715 US-19, PORT RICHEY, FL 34668, (727) 233-7148) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE FUEL PUMP SENDING UNIT FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 16V621000 (FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE). NO FURTHER ASSISTANCE WAS PROVIDED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 54,000.
THE STEERING ON MY 2015 FORD TAURUS FLASHES A MESSAGE TO HAVE THE STEERING SERVICED. SHORTLY, FOLLOWING THIS WHEN I BEGIN TO MAKE A TURN...ANOTHER MESSAGE POPS UP AND THE POWER STEERING DISENGAGES, MAKING IT VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO CONTROL THE CAR.
THE STEERING ON OUR 2015 FORD TAURUS HAS BEEN DISENGAGING WHILE THE CAR IS BEING DRIVEN. FIRST WE GET A MESSAGE THAT THE STEERING NEEDS TO BE SERVICED. NEXT, ANOTHER MESSAGE FLASHED, THE CAR JERKS AND THE POWER STEERING DISENGAGES MAKING IT EXTREMELY DIFFICULT TO CONTROL THE CAR.
I WAS PICKING UP MY SON AFTER WORK. I HAD DRIVEN ROUGHLY 45 MINUTES AND PARKED WAITING FOR HIM FOR ROUGHLY 10 MINUTES. AFTER HE GOT IN, WE DROVE TO THE END OF THE STREET AND TURNED ON TO THE MAIN ROAD. 2 WARNINGS POPPED UP SUDDENLY. 1 FOR POWER STEERING FAILURE AND 1 FOR STABILITY CONTROL FAILURE. STEERING INSTANTLY BECAME EXTREMELY DIFFICULT TO CONTROL. I WAS ABLE TO PULL INTO A GAS STATION, AND POPPED THE HOOD. I WASN'T AWARE AT THIS POINT IT WAS ELECTRONIC POWER ASSISTED STEERING. I QUICKLY REALIZED THERE WAS NO POWER STEERING RESERVOIR. I TURNED THE CAR BACK ON AND STEERING CONTROL SEEMED TO BE RESTORED. SO I CONTINUED ON. AS I TURNED BACK ON TO THE MAIN ROAD AND THE POWER STEERING FAILED AGAIN. LUCKILY I WAS ONLY GOING ABOUT 500 FEET DOWN THE ROAD AND MANAGED TO PULL IT IN DESPITE THE INCREASE IN STEERING DIFFICULTY. THE POWER STEERING FAILURE HAS BEEN PRESENT EVER SINCE.

I HAVE HAD SEVERAL OCCASIONS, WHILE DRIVING, WHERE THE POWER ASSISTED STEERING HAS STOPPED WORKING CAUSING DIFFICULT STEERING AS WELL AS A "STEERING FAULT SERVICE NOW" MESSAGE ON MY INSTRUMENT CLUSTER. FORD HAS RECALLED SEVERAL VEHICLES FOR THIS SAME CONCERN BUT MY VEHICLE HAS NOT BEEN INCLUDED IN THE RECALL SO FAR.

THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT THE SAME FAILURE OCCURRED ON ANOTHER VEHICLE OF THE SAME YEAR, MAKE, AND MODE THAT HE PREVIOUSLY OWNED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 70,000. THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN.

THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 125,000.
WHILE DRIVING ON I-95 S AT 70 MPH. STEERING WHEEL BEGIN TO TWITCH. STEERING BECAME EXTREMELY HARD TO TURN AND CONTROL VEHICLE. STEERING LIGHT FLASH, TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT ALSO.I MANAGE TO GET VEHICLE OFF HIGHWAY SAFETY.STOP VEHICLE. OPEN HOOD TO CHECK POWER STEERING RESERVOIR.THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION..WITHOUT POWER STEERING , THIS VEHICLE IS AT THE POINT OF NOT BEING DERIVABLE. MY WIFE MAY HAVE BEEN DRIVE THE VEHICLE. AND SHE WOULD N'T HAVE BEEN ABLE TO CONTROL SAFETY THIS VEHICLE. GOOGLE SHOW THIS IS A ELECTRIC STEERING RACK & PINION UNIT.FORD HAS A RECALL ON THIS PROBLEM. WHILE DRIVING AT 65 MPH ON BUSY ROAD, VEHICLE LOST POWER. WAS ABLE TO COAST TO SIDE OF ROAD. VEHICLE WOULD NOT ACCELERATE. VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION. NO IWARNING/INDICATORS OF ANY PROBLEMS BEFORE LOSS OF ACCELERATION. ONLY INDICATOR THAT CAME ON AFTER WAS MAINTENANCE INDICATOR WHICH DISAPPEARED AFTER RESTART.. PLACED THE VEHICLE IN PARK AND RESTARTED. VEHICLE FINE AFTER RESTARTING. NOTICED THIS VEHICLE AND YEAR HAD A SAFETY RECALL 16S31 FOR MODELS BUILT IN CHICAGO. I CHECKED MY VIN. NOT INCLUDED IN RECALL, HOWEVER I HAVE A FORD TAURUS 3.5 LITER BUILT AT THE CHICAGO PLANT. NOT SURE WHY I WASN'T INCLUDED IN SAFETY RECALL IF VEHICLE IS EXPERIENCING THIS ISSUE. VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION TO LOOSE POWER ESPECIALLY ON BUSY FREEWAYS.
I BOUGHT A NEW BATTERY AND ITS DRAIN BECAUSE OF ITS SAYING CHECK CHARGE SYSTEM IN DONT KNOW WHAT ELSE TO.DO I LOST MY JOB BECAUSE MY VEHICLE STOP RUNNING
I WAS DRIVING AT 45 MILES AN HOUR THROUGH TOWN AND WITHOUT ANY WARNING THE CAR STOPPED ACCELERATING AND THEN A LOUD BANG. THE TRANSFER CASE DETACHED RIGHT OFF THE TRANSMISSION AND THE TRANSMISSION WAS DAMAGED IN THE PROCESS.
VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY, AS I HAD JUST TURNED IT ON. STEERING WOULD NOT MOVE, CALLED FORD TO ASK AND SET UP AN APPOINTMENT AND WENT BACK OUT AND IT WORKED AGAIN. STEERING FELT VERY FUNNY AND DID NOT DRIVE IT TILL I TOOK IT TO THE SHOP. FORD NEVER STATED THE PROBLEM, NO CODE PRESENT. THEY REPLACED THE WHOLE STEERING RACK AND CALLED IT GOOD. I BELIEVE THIS IS THE ISSUE WHERE STEERING FAILS TO WORK. A RECALL SHOULD OCCUR.... THIS COULD BECOME A HUGE ISSUE IF I WAS IN MOTION. I BELIEVE THE CAR WAS AT 45 K MILEAGE.
THE VEHICLE AUTOMATICALLY SHUTS OFF WITH NO WARNING. YOU MAY BE IN THE MIDDLE OF HEAVY TRAFFIC OR IN YOUR DRIVEWAY - IT SHUTS OFF WITH NO APPARENT REASON. THE FUEL PUMP MODULE WAS REPLACED 1 YEAR AGO AND HAS NO BEGUN THE SAME THING AGAIN. WE PURCHASED THIS CAR THINKING IT WOULD BE SAFE FOR OUR SON. NOW WE DO NOT WANT HIM DRIVING IT

THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 32,578. *BF CONSUMER STATED WHEN I WOULD STOP AT A RED LIGHT OR STOP SIGN SOMETIMES IT WOULD JUST SHUT OFF AND WOULD NOT START IMMEDIATELY IT TOOK A FEW SECONDS OR MORE AND ON THE ONE DAY IT STARTING DOING IT MORE OFTEN SO I HAD IT CHECKED OUT AND WAS BAD PART.*JB
BOUGHT CAR IN JUNE OF 2018. NO PROBLEMS UNTIL ABOUT A MONTH AGO, WHEN ENGINE BEGAN ACCELERATING ON ITS OWN, SOMETIMES IN PARK AFTER STARTING, OR WHEN IDLING IN DRIVE AT A LIGHT IN TRAFFIC. MUST PRESS HARD ON BRAKE TO KEEP IT FROM MOVING UNTIL I CAN PUT IT IN NEUTRAL, WHERE IT REALLY RACES EVEN LOUDER FOR ABOUT A MINUTE, THEN RUNS NORMAL. HAS HAPPENED ABOUT A 10 TIMES. FINALLY QUIT DRIVING IT UNTIL I TOOK IT IN TO A FORD DEALER AND IT HAPPENED AGAIN THAT MORNING. LEFT IT THERE AND WAS TOLD A FEW DAYS LATER THAT IT HASN'T HAPPENED WHEN THEY DROVE IT. THEY WANT US TO PICK IT UP WITHOUT ANY REPAIRS, BUT I KNOW THERE IS SOMETHING WRONG AND FEEL IT ISN'T SAFE. REFUSED TO PICK IT UP, BUT WILL PROBABLY HAVE TO THIS WEEK.

A MECHANIC DROVE THE VEHICLE AND WAS ABLE TO DUPLICATE THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED BUT IT WAS UNKNOWN WHICH PARTS WERE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND DID NOT ASSIST. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 43,000.

MY VEHICLE WAS PARKED IN MY DRIVEWAY, WORKED FINE IN THE EARLY MORNING TO DRIVE A FEW MILES DOWN THE ROAD AND BACK. WHEN I ATTEMPTED TO START THE CAR AGAIN THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT TURN ON. DASHBOARD, RADIO, WINDOWS, STILL TURNED ON PROPERLY BUT MY VEHICLE WOULD NOT TURN ON COMPLETELY. I TOOK IT TO A FORD DEALERSHIP WHERE I WAS TOLD IT WAS THE FUEL PUMP MODULE THAT FAILED CAUSING MY VEHICLE TO NOT TURN ON.
THE IN CAR TOUCH SCREEN HAS STOPPED WORKING, COMPLETELY BLACK SCREEN. FORD HAD AN UNLIMITED MILEAGE RECALL FOR THIS EXACT ISSUE UP UNTIL 2014 HOWEVER I OWN A 2015 WHICH THEY STATE IS NOT COVERED BY THE RECALL. FORD ADVISED THAT IF I FEEL IT SHOULD BE INCLUDED I SHOULD CONTACT YOU AND REPORT MY ISSUE. THE CAR IS LESS THAN 4 YEARS OLD, THE IN CAR TOUCH SCREEN WHICH CONTROLS MOST FUNCTIONS OF THE CAR SHOULD WORK BEYOND 4 YEARS. THIS SCREEN CONTROLS CLIMATE CONTROL, RADIO FUNCTIONS, GPS, BLUETOOTH HANDS FREE FEATURES, ETC.

DRIVING MY FORD 2015 TAURUS SEL TRIM PACKAGE OUT OF THE DRIVEWAY ONTO THE ROAD AND IT DIES WILL NOT START THE ENGINE I HAVE IS A 3.5 LITER V6 FLEX FUEL, HAD A BAD FUEL PUMP CONTROL MODULE CHECK WITH FORD MOTOR COMPANY AND THEY HAVE A RECALL ON TAURUS BUT NOT MY MODEL BUT THE SAME PART ISSUE, THE RECALL NUMBER IS 16S31, THE ENGINE WILL STOP AT ANY TIME DOES NOT MATTER IF YOU ARE IN STATIONARY OR IN MOTION THIS IS VERY DANGERS.
"TAKATA RECALL" THE FIRST OCCURRENCE WAS IN MARCH 2018. I AM NOT THE FIRST OWNER. I GOT THE VEHICLE EXACTLY 2 MONTHS AND IT WON'T ACCELERATE. IT WAS TOWLES TO A GARAGE AND I PAID $975.00 9FUEL PUMP AND ELECTRICAL. ON 2/4/2019, THE VEHICLE STOPPED ACCELERATING WHILE I WAS IN TRAFFIC AGAIN.
SO MY 2015 FORD TAURUS AND I WAS COMING TO A STOP AT A STOP LIGHT STEERING STARTED TO FEEL KIND OF TIGHT. ALMOST IS JUST ON AN OLDER CAR MY POWER STEERING FLUID MAKE IT BE GETTING A LITTLE LOW I CONTINUE GOING ABOUT MY TRIP THINKING THAT MUCH OF IT WHEN I GOT TO MY DESTINATION I CHECKED TO SEE IF THERE WAS A POWER STEERING RESERVOIR TO SEE IF THE POWER STEERING FLUID IS LOW TO FIND OUT THAT THE FORD TAURUS IS AN ALL ELECTRICAL POWER ASSIST SYSTEM. I LIVE IN UPSTATE NEW YORK AND THE WEATHER HAS BEEN PRETTY COLD OUT SO I THOUGHT MAYBE THERE WAS A ICE BUILD-UP UNDERNEATH THE VEHICLE I'LL HAVE SINCE WASHED THE BOTTOM OF THE CAR OUT AND THE WEATHER IS NOW IN THE 50 AND I'M STILL IN GETTING THE NUMB TIGHT FEELING IN THE STEERING IT'S ALMOST AS IF HEADING INTO A TURN PERIODICALLY AT ANY SPEED THE STEERING JUST SEEMS TO GET TIGHTER AS IF IT'S GOING TO LOCK UP I TRAVEL ABOUT 51 MILES TO WORK A DAY SO I CAN NOTICE A DIFFERENCE OFF AND ON THROUGHOUT THE TRIP

WHILE DRIVING HOME FROM WORK MERGING TO GET ON THE HIGHWAY AS I WAS TURNING THE STEERING WHEEL FROZE UP AND BECAME HARD TO TURN I ALMOST DROVE INTO THE WALL MY CAR ONLY HAS 26 THOUSAND MILES ON IT
AS MY WIFE DROVE HER 2015 FORD TAURUS DOWN HIGHWAY 395 THE CAR SUDDENLY CUT OFF WITHOUT ANY WARNING. LUCKILY WE HAD ENOUGH ROOM BEHIND US BEFORE THE BIG RIG FOLLOWING BEHIND COULD AVOID US AS WE PULLED OUT OF THE WAY. TOOK THE CAR TO FORD VIA AAA. THEY INFORMED ME IT WAS A FUEL MODULE RELAY. THIS WAS A MASS RECALL SITUATION FOR FORD. COINCIDENTALLY MY VIN WAS NOT ON THE RECALL LIST FOR A WIDELY KNOWN PROBLEM. NOW I'M FORCED TO PAY FOR REPAIRS. I REQUEST THAT ALL CARS MADE FROM 2013 TO THE END OF 2015 OR NEWER BE PLACED ON THE RECALL LIST. LUCKILY IT DIDN'T RESULT IN A HORRIFIC ACCIDENT.

THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO KRAPOHL FORD & LINCOLN (1415 E PICKARD RD, MT PLEASANT, MI 48858, 1-800-772-5974) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE ENGINE FUEL MODULE FAILED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND STATED THAT THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN A RECALL. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 55,000.

THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE FUEL PUMP WAS NOT CONNECTED TO THE FUEL CONTROL MODULE, AND THE FUEL GAUGE PROVIDED AN INCORRECT READING. THE MECHANIC STATED THAT THE FUEL PUMP CONTROL MODULE FAILED AND THAT THE VIN WAS EXCLUDED FROM NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 16V621000 (FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE). THE MANUFACTURER AND DEALER WERE NOT CONTACTED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 80,000.
IN THE LAST MONTH AND A HALF MY CAR DIED 3 TIMES AS I WAS DRIVING. ALL THREE TIMES I WAS SLOWING DOWN TO TURN AND A WARNING SIGN CAME ON SAYING THE TRANSMISSION ISN'T IN PARK. AFTER THAT THE CAR COMPLETELY DIED ON ME. THE LIGHTS ,STEERING,BRAKES IT JUST COMPLETELY DEAD. I WAS SO AFRAID THE CARS BEHIND ME WOULD HIT MY CAR.IT IS IN THE GARAGE NOW FOR THE THIRD TIME. THE FIRST TIME AFTER 4 DAYS THEY SENT THE CAR HOME AND SAID NO CODES CAME UP AND THEY COULDN'T FIND ANYTHING WRONG.A MONTH LATER IT HAPPENED AGAIN AND THEY REPLACED THE THROTTLE BODY AND GASKET HOPING IT WAS FIXED.JANUARY 4 2019 ,A FRIDAY NIGHT IT HAPPENED AGAIN AND THE CARS BEHAVE IND ME ALMOST HIT ME IN THE BACK. THE CAR STARTS UP WRIGHT AWAY AFTER THIS HAPPENS. I AM SO AFRAID TO DRIVE THIS CAR. THE FIRST TIME I COASTED OFF THE BUSY STREET BECAUSE I HAD NO LIGHTS , STEERING OR BRAKES. CAN YOU IMAGINE NO LIGHTS AND IF I WOULDN'T OF COASTED OFF INTO A DRIVEWAY I WOULD HAVE BEEN HIT. THE GARAGE KEEPS SAYING THAT MY CAR DOESN'T HAVE A RECALL, BUT THERE SHOULD BE ONE ON THIS CAR.MY HUSBAND WENT WITH ME TO THE GARAGE TODAY AND HE TOLD THEM THAT HE DOESN'T WANT THIS CAR BACK UNTIL THEY CAN GUARANTEE IT WILL BE FIXED SO I AM NOT IN A TERRIBLE ACCIDENT!!

THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 16,823.
I BEGAN HAVING ISSUES WITH MY 2016 FORD TAURUS SEL WHERE MY BACK LEFT DOOR WOULD NOT OPEN. THE ELECTRONIC SYSTEM IN THE CAR WAS NOT DISTRIBUTING ANY POWER TO THE BACK DOOR TO ALLOW IT TO OPEN. THE LOCKING KNOB WOULD NOT RISE OR LOWER USING THE LOCKING SYSTEM INSIDE THE CAR OR THE KEY FOB. SHORTLY THERE AFTER, THE OTHER REAR PASSENGER DOOR ON THE RIGHT SIDE BEGAN HAVING THE SAME ISSUE. CURRENTLY BOTH OF MY REAR DOORS CANNOT BE OPENED ELECTRONICALLY. I PHYSICALLY HAVE TO LEAN IN THE BACK OF THE VEHICLE AND RAISE THE LOCKING KNOB TO OPEN THE DOOR. PULLING THE DOOR HANDLE FROM INSIDE THE CAR WILL NOT OPEN THE DOOR. IT HAS NO RESISTANCE TO THE HANDLE WHATSOEVER. THE ONLY WAY TO OPEN THE LOCKED DOOR IS TO PHYSICALLY PULL UP THE LOCKING NOB NEAR THE WINDOW. THIS HAS CREATED DIFFICULTY IN ME TRANSPORTING ANY PASSENGERS AND IS EXTREMELY INCONVENIENT TO PLACE ANYTHING IN THE BACK SEAT. THE INABILITY TO LOCK THE BLACK DOORS WITH THE KEY FOB OR ELECTRONIC SYSTEM IN THE CAR HAS RESULTED IN THE DOOR BEING LEFT UNLOCKED IF NOT THE LOCKING KNOB IS NOT PHYSICALLY PUSHED DOWN EVERY TIME. I TOOK MY VEHICLE TO A LOCAL MECHANIC WHO INFORMED ME THAT I WOULD NEED A NEW DOOR LOCK ACTUATOR ON BOTH REAR DOORS BUT THAT IT HAD TO BE DONE AT A FORD DEALERSHIP. I CALLED FORD AND THEY INFORMED ME THAT THE DOORS WOULD NEED TO BE REPROGRAMMED AFTER INSTALLING THE DOOR LOCK ACTUATORS TO ENSURE THE DOORS ARE PROPERLY SYNCED TO THE ELECTRONICA SYSTEM OF THE CAR. THE COST OF THIS IS OVER OVER $500 PER DOOR AND I HAVE NO OTHER OPTIONS TO FIX THIS PROBLEM. I HAVE HAD PRIOR ISSUES WITH MY 2010 FORD TAURUS WHERE THE BACK DOOR WOULD NOT OPEN AND HAD TO PAY ABOUT $500 FOR A REAR DOOR ACTUATOR TO BE INSTALLED AND SYNCED. THE USABILITY OF THE DOORS DOES NOT CHANGE WHEN THE CAR IS OFF, ON, PARKED, OR IN MOTION. MY PASSENGERS COULD POTENTIALLY BE AT RISK AND THE COST OF REPAIR MAKES THIS ISSUE CONTINUING.

NOW THE THIRD TIME I HAVE THE SAME ISSUE WITH THIS CAR DOING THE SAME THING *CRANKING WITH NO TURN OVER* I GET TOLD IT'S A FUEL CONTOL MOD. YOU SHOULD HAVE THE RECALL ACROSS THE BOARD FOR THESE CARS. INSTEAD OF THE OWNERS HAVING TO SPEND 500 TO REPLACE IT BY THE DEALERSHIP.
DRIVING ON INTERSTATE AND WARNING LIGHT CAME ON DASH SAYING POWER STEERING ASSIST FAILURE. POWER STEERING IMMEDIATELY QUIT WORKING AT SPEED OF 70MPH DURING A LAND CHANGE AND ALMOST LEAD TO A CRASH. NO PRIOR EARRING THIS SYSTEM WOULD FAIL. NOT SAFE

THIS IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS WHEN I AM ON THE ROAD AS SUDDENLY STOPPING CAN CAUSE A CAR TO HIT ME FROM BEHIND.

ONCE IT STALLS AND THE VEHICLE IS TURNED OFF AND THEN TURNED BACK ON IT WILL WORK FINE UNTIL IT WILL DO IT AGAIN. WITH THE RECALLS OF SOME OF THESE MODELS I LOOKED UP THE VIN NUMBER AND THERE IS NO RECALL HOWEVER IT SEEMS BASED ON RESEARCH WE ARE HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM AS OTHER FORDS WERE HAVING WITH THE FUEL SYSTEM.
ON A NUMBER OF OCCASIONS IN THE PAST 30 DAYS MY 2015 TAURUS HAS HAS A LOSS OF POWER TO THE STEERING SYSTEM WHICH MAKES IT DIFFICULT TO DRIVE IT HAPPENS AT LOW AND HIGH SPEEDS IT HAPPENED AT MY SONS GRADUATION IN A PARKING LOT FULL OF STUDENTS AND PARENTS AND COULD NOT STEER THE CAR IT ALSO HAPPENED ON A MAIN ROAD TRAVELING IN MY LANE AROUND A HARD TURN IN ROAD AND THE STEERING FAILED I STOPPED THE CAR ON THE SHOULDER BY SLAMMING ON THE BRAKES THANK GOD NO ONE WAS BEHIND ME AND IT HAPPENED AT THE GROCERY STORE TURNING INTO A PARKING SPOT ON 2 OCCASIONS THE WAY TO MAKE IT WORK AGAIN IS IF YOU TURN OFF CAR AND RESTART IT AND IT'S FINE TILL THE NEXT TIME A LIGHT COMES ON ON THE DASH THAT READS POWER STEERING SYSTEM FAILURE I CONTACTED FORD ABOUT THE PROBLEM AND I WAS TOLD THAT IT WASN'T COVERED UNDER WARRANTY AND THERE WAS NO RECALLS IN AND THAT IT NEEDED A NEW STEERING GEAR AND RACK AND IT WOULD COST ME 1500$ TO DO THE JOB I HAVE LOOKED INTO ANY RECALLS ONLINE AND THEY DID HAVE A RECALL ON A THE POWER STEERING ASSSIST ON EARLIER MODELS OF THE TAURUS 2012-2013 SO MAKES ME THINK THAT THEY KNOW THERE IS A PROBLEM AND WON'T ISSUE A RECALL ARE THEY WAITING FOR SOMEONE TO GET HURT OR POSSIBLY KILLED AS I SAID PREVIOUSLY THE POWER STEERING FAILS AT ALL SPEEDS AND GIVES NO INDICATION THAT IT IS ABOUT TO HAPPEN SOMETHING SHOULD BE DONE THANK YOU
