PARKING VEHICLE AT 5MPH BRAKES DID NOT WORK, AND CAR SHOT FORWARD-HIT STEEL POST.
There is a recall on my 2020 Genesis g80 3.3t regarding a faulty turbo oil feed pipe causing the car to leak oil and a safety risk that could cause a fire. Vehicle had no issues prior to me having towed to Genesis north of Cincinnati other than the supply pipe leaking oil. The next day after them performing repairs on my vehicle I receive a text as well as an email stating that my service is complete. In the text message it states that my car is complete and is ready to be picked up but the car is now leaking coolant and the oil leak is not repaired. Genesis did not properly repair the issue and is still leaking oil. Repair includes work done to the coolant system being bled annd refilled with coolant . Now my car is also leaking coolant after them attempting repairs
UNKNOWN AIR CONDITIONER WORKS WELL FOR ABOUT 1 HOUR, THEN SUDDENLY THERE'S A FUNNY NOISE AND THE HEAT COMES OUT INSTEAD OF COLD AIR. WE HAVE INFORMED GENESIS DEALER ABOUT THE PROBLEM, BUT THEY SAID IT WOULD NOT BE COVERED UNDER WARRANTY. WE HAVE SEEN MULTIPLE REPORTS OF THIS ISSUE BUT GENESIS HAS NOT ISSUED A RECALL FOR THIS POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS AND HAZARDOUS PROBLEM.
AC stops running during very hot days, air flow stops and heat inside the car gets dangerously high. There are multiple complaints about this in a Genesis blog, and dealers are unable to reproduce the problem to find the problem. I contacted Genesis America and they cannot do anything because service technicians are unable to diagnose the problem. Genesis MUST do something about this. I can provide snapshots of the blog with the multiple complaints. This started sometime in the 2023 summer.
AC stops working while driving on hot days, airflow stops and the situation is very dangerous. Tried to get the dealer to fix it, to no avail. I've been dealing with this dangerous (temperatures reached more than 110 F, without airflow) problem for two years. We are more than 20 owners of these luxury cars experiencing the same problem. I can provide their names and VINs upon request.
It is dead everyday and I have to jump it I noticed when I attach a power source it makes very odd noises. I feel the current recall you have on the g80 2020 may be the issue. It runs extremely hot wit no warning lights showing. I have had a lot of brake dust and the car is hot fast. Also issues with usb and when connected to phone it sound like crackling and volume sounds odd unless I unplug and replug. Replaced battery twice in a year
We took the vehicle in for the ABS recall on the 2020 Genesis G80 [XXX] The Dealer changed the Fuses and told me the fuses where changed from a 10 amp to a 20 amp fuse. This seems to be the wrong way to go for a defective ABS module. Then they told me it is ok to park the car in the garage. INFORMATION Redacted PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).

The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that rodents had chewed through the soy-based wire coating. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure reoccurred. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer who provided the same diagnostic and repaired the vehicle; however, the failure persisted. The vehicle was taken back to dealer where it was diagnosed that rodents had also chewed through the starter wiring. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 12,000.

The vehicle has 11,000 miles on it. I just drove from Boston, MA to Scranton, PA on Thursday 6/24/21. There were no issues and I did not hit any pot holes. On Friday morning we started driving and 3-4 miles away going about 40 mph, we noticed a problem on the right front. I pulled over and we noticed the tire was flat. I called triple A and took the car to a tire repair shop. The sidewall was worn all around the perimeter of the tire and it had a hole in the sidewall. I also noticed a bubble on the left front tire, thus both tires were replaced. I notified Continental and opened a claim with them.
