MY DASHBOARD IS SEVERELY CRACKED TO WHERE A PIECE HAS FALLING APART. *TR
THERE ARE 3 MAJOR CRACKS ON MY DASHBOARD, TWO OF WHICH EMINATE FROM THE PASSENGER AIRBAG OPENING. I SEE WHERE THERE ARE LITERALLY THOUSANDS OF COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS. THE DASH BOARD NOW MOVES UP AND DOWN AND RATTLES. THIS IS DEFINITELY A MANUFACTURERS DEFECT WHICH MUST BE ADDRESSED BY MANUFACTURER THROUGH A RECALL. THE CRACKS JUST APPEAR OUT OF NOWHERE. I TAKE EXCEEDINGLY GOOD CARE OF CAR BUT REPLACING AN ENTIRE DASHBOARD BECAUSE OF POOR DESIGN SHOULD BE COVERED BY MANUFACTURER. THANK YOU.

TAKATA CORPORATION ('TAKATA') HAS DECIDED THAT A DEFECT WHICH RELATES TO MOTOR VEHICLE SAFETY EXISTS IN CERTAIN 2007-2011 CADILLAC ESCALADE, ESCALADE ESV, ESCALADE EXT, CHEVROLET AVALANCHE, SILVERADO 1500, SUBURBAN, TAHOE, GMC SIERRA 1500, YUKON, YUKON XL, AND 2009-2011 CHEVROLET SILVERADO 2500/3500 AND GMC SIERRA 2500/3500 VEHICLES. THIS IS BASED UPON TAKATA'S DECISION THAT FRONT PASSENGER AIRBAG INFLATORS IT SUPPLIED TO GM ARE DEFECTIVE. GM HAS SUBMITTED TO NHTSA A PETITION FOR INCONSEQUENTIALITY AND NHTSA HAS GRANTED GM UNTIL AUGUST 2017 TO COMPLETE ITS INVESTIGATION AND TO SUBMIT ALL DATA SUPPORTING THE PETITION. TAKATA RECALL. RECEIVED NOTIFICATION IN JULY 2016. HAVE CONTACTED DEALER SEVERAL TIMES AND AM BEING TOLD THERE IS NO REMEDY AVAILABLE.
INTERMITTENT ELECTRICAL ISSUES. DOORS LOCKS AND WINDOWS DON'T ALWAYS WORK. SOMETIMES WHEN I SHUT MY CAR OFF IT DIES. LIKE I CAN'T TURN IT BACK ON. RUNNING BOARDS DON'T GO UP, CAN'T LOCK IT, NOTHING. DEAD. THEN 15 MINUTES LATER IT'S FINE. SOMETIMES WHEN DRIVING, IT'S LIKE IT'S CUTTING OUT, NOT GETTING ENOUGH POWER OR DIFFERENT WARNING LIGHTS WILL RANDOMLY FLASH. I JUST NEVER KNOW WHEN IT'S GOING TO BE WORKING PROPERLY. I'M JUST AFRAID SOMETHING WILL HAPPEN WHILE WE ARE DRIVING. WE ALSO USE THE YUKON TO TOW A TRAILER. I NEED TO BE ABLE TO DEPEND ON IT. THE SHOP CAN NEVER DUPLICATE THE ISSUE AND THEY JUST LOOK AT ME LIKE I'M CRAZY.
TAKATA RECALL THIS RECALL HAS BEEN OPEN FOR ALMOST 3 YEARS. GM HAS NOT ADDRESSED IT AND PEOPLE ARE DYING. WHY HASN'T THE NHTSA OR SOME OTHER REGULATORY AGENCY HELD GM ACCOUNTABLE? I UNDERSTAND THAT GM HAS APPLIED AND BEEN DENIED 2 TIMES SO FAR TO GET OUT OF ADDRESSING THIS RECALL? THEY ARE WAITING ON A DENIAL FOR THE 3RD APPLICATION? I AM OUTRAGED THAT GM HAS BEEN ALLOWED TO GET AWAY WITH THIS WANTED DISREGARD FOR SAFETY.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 GMC YUKON. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE DASHBOARD WAS CRACKED AND FRACTURED IN THE MIDDLE. ALSO, THE AIR BAG AND TIRE PRESSURE MONITORING SYSTEM WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE LOCAL DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT CONTACTED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 171,000.

DASHBOARD CRACKING ALONG TOP OVER INSTRUMENT CLUSTER AND PASSENGER SIDE AIR BAG. CAR IS GARAGED WHEN NOT IN USE.
TAKATA RECALL. I WANT TO PAY FOR THE RECALL AND COMPLETE THE REPAIR AT A GMC DEALER. I CANNOT. NOBODY CAN GET PARTS. I WANT TO PAY FOR THE PART AND PAY FOR THE REPAIR. WHILE THE RECALL IS IN LIMBO, I WANT TO DRIVE A SAFE VEHICLE. PLEASE ORDER GM TO HAVE USER-PARTS AVAILABLE FOR USER-PAY RECALL REPAIRS - PLEASE!. I CANNOT BE HELD HOSTAGE TO NOT BEING ABLE TO REPAIR. VEHICLE WILL ABRUPTLY STOP WITHOUT ANY WARNING WHEN STARTING TO ACCELERATE FROM ZERO UP TO ABOUT 10 MPH. ALL ENGINE INDICATOR LIGHTS WILL FLASH INCLUDING AUDIBLE WARNINGS OF MALFUNCTION. I MUST COME TO A COMPLETE STOP, PUT THE VEHICLE IN PARK, THEN PROCEED TO RESTART THE VEHICLE. A REAR END COLLISION IS INEVITABLE.
I HAVE A 2008 GMC YUKON SLT THAT I BOUGHT IN FEB OF 2015 WITH 94,000 MILES. I HAVE SERVICED IT REGULARLY FROM DAY 1 AND EVEN PAID IT OFF IN 2.5 YEARS. AS SOON AS I PAID IT OFF, THE VERY NEXT MONTH, MY ENGINE STARTED MAKING A WEIRD NOISE ONCE IN A WHILE W/ NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHT SO NO ONE COULD TELL WHAT WAS WRONG. AT THAT SAME TIME MY "SERVICE STABILITRAK/SERVICE TRACTION CONTROL" WOULD DING ABOUT 40 TIMES IN A ROW. I SERVICED THE 2 AND IT DID NOT HELP FOR MORE THAN 2 DAYS AND IT STARTED AGAIN. THIS TIME THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON CODES WERE FOR NEW PLUGS AND FUEL FILTER. STILL DIDN'T HELP. THEN MY ENGINE BLEW! GOT THAT REPLACED AND IT STILL TO THIS DAY IS DOING SAME THING! SO, LIKE THE 330 OTHERS, WE HAVE A MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE THAT NO ONE CARES TO ADDRESS, AND I'M DONE TRYING! IF THIS MAN ARE HAVING THE SAME ISSUE IT'S A GM ISSUE! WHILE WE ARE DRIVING ON A FREEWAY THE CAR SUDDENLY STOP AND WILL HAVE A "STABILITY LOSE CONTROL" MESSAGE ON A DASH BOARD. THE CAR WILL STOP MOMENTARILY AND THEN IT WILL RUN AGAIN AFTER WE START THE CAR. THE CAR HAS NO POWER AT ALL ONCE IT STOPPED. IT HAPPENS A LOT SO RIGHT NOW WE'RE NOT USING IT DUE TO SAFETY ISSUE. A BIG SAFETY ISSUE BECAUSE WE USE THIS TO TRAVEL WITH FAMILY. I BROUGHT THIS TO THE MECHANIC BUT THEY DON'T SEEM TO FIND WHAT'S WRONG WITH IT. THEY DID A DIAGNOSTIC TEST BUT THEY DID NOT GET AN ERROR MESSAGE AT ALL. ENGINE LIGHT IS NOT EVEN ON.
TAKATA AIR BAG RECALL
THE DASH ABOVE THE GAUGE CLUSTER HAS A HUGE CRACK AND THERE IS ALSO ANOTHER CRACK BY THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG. I NOTICED IT WHEN I STARTED THE VEHICLE AFTER IT HAD BEEN PARKED ALL NIGHT IN MY DRIVEWAY. THERE IS NO OTHER DAMAGE TO THE VEHICLE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 GMC YUKON DENALI. WHILE DRIVING 20 MPH, ALL OF THE SIDE CURTAIN AIR BAGS DEPLOYED AFTER STRIKING A BUMP IN THE ROAD. THERE WERE NO INJURIES. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 105,000. *TT
DASHBOARD CRACKED IN TWO PLACES.
I RECEIVED MY FIRST NOTICE ABOUT THE TAAKA AIRBAG RECALL IN 2018 AND GM STILL DOES NOT HAVE A FIX FOR THE AIRBAGS. VERY UNTIMELY MANNER FOR REPAIRS, WHEN DRIVING DAILY.
THE VEHICLE CAUGHT FIRE WHILE PARKED AND IGNITION TURNED OFF. FIRE APPEARED TO START IN THE ENGINE AREA. VEHICLE HAD BEEN PARKED AND TURNED OFF FOR APPROX 1.5 TO 2 HOURS BEFORE THE FIRE WAS REPORTED.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE AND WAS NOT ABLE TO CONFIRM WHEN THE PARTS WOULD BE AVAILABLE. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. VIN TOOL CONFIRMS PARTS NOT AVAILABLE. TAKATA RECALL , RECEIVED NUMEROUS MAILERS TELLING ME I HAD TO FILE ON THIS WEBSITE ,"NO LATER THAN 12-27-2017" IF I OWNED A VEH. LISTED TO BE REPAIRED, THERE HAS BEEN NO ACCIDENT YET !
TAKATA INFLATORS : I RECEIVED A LETTER SATING THAT MY VEHICLE AIRBAG IS UNDER RECALL AND I SHOULD CONTACT MY LOCAL DEALERSHIP TO HAVE THEM REPLACE THEM FREE OF CHARGE. I HAVE CALLED THEM TWICE SINCE I GOT THE NOTICE AND THEY HAVE TOLD ME THAT I NEED TO CONTACT GMC TO FIND OUT WHO THE SOLUTION TO THE PROBLEM IS BECAUSE AS OF RIGHT NOW THEY CANNOT OFFER ME ANYTHING TO FIX THE ISSUE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 GMC YUKON. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 60 MPH, THE VEHICLE STALLED AND THE TRACTION CONTROL AND REDUCED ENGINE POWER INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE FUEL CONTROL MODULE AND THE BODY CONTROL MODULE WERE FAULTY AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE TECHNICIAN REPLACED THE FUEL PUMP, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE DEALER (ALLEN GWYNN CHEVROLET, GLENDALE, CA, 844-636-8480) SCHEDULED AN APPOINTMENT. WHEN THE CONTACT ARRIVED FOR THE APPOINTMENT, THE TECHNICIAN STATED THAT THERE WAS NO RECALL. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT NOTHING COULD BE DONE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 115,000.
TAKATA INFLATERS JUST A RECALL BUT NO SOLUTION
DEALERSHIP IS REFUSING TO REPAIR THE RECALL AIR BAG PARTS. THEY SAY THEY DON'T HAVE THEM TO DO THE REPAIR.
THE DASH IS CRACKED ABOVE THE CONTROL PANEL. THIS IS THE THIRD TIME THE DASH HAS CRACKED BUT THIS TIME IT IS SUBSTANTIAL.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT FOR AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE CONTACT CALLED BAUMANN CHEVROLET BUICK GMC (2291 W STATE ROUTE 18, TIFFIN, OH 44883; 419-210-5850) AND WAS INFORMED THAT THE PART FOR THE REMEDY WAS NOT AVAILABLE AND DID NOT KNOW WHEN PARTS WOULD ARRIVE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. VIN TOOL CONFIRMS PARTS NOT AVAILABLE.
DASHBOARD CRACKS AROUND INSTRUMENT CLUSTER AND FRONT PASSENGER AIR BAG. MY DASHBOARD STARTED TO CRACK A COUPLE OR YEARS AGO AND IS NOW CRACKED ALL OVER. IT IS ALSO A SAFETY ISSUE. I HAVE TRIED TO STOP THE CRACKS IN DIFFERENT WAYS AND IT JUST CONTINUES. GMC SHOULD RESPOND AND CHANGE THE DASHBOARD OF THESE VEHICLES. I ASKED THE DEALER IN THE LAST INSPECTION FOR THE REPAR. IT IS CLOSE TO 1300 DOLLARS AND GMC DOES NOT RESPOND. CLEARLY THIS IS A QUALITY ISSUE
TAKATA RECALL I HAVE REQUESTED THE DEALER TO CHANGE THE AIRBAG BECAUSE OF THE RECALL FOR A LONG TIME AND THE ANSWER IS THAT PARTS ARE NOT AVAILABLE FROM GMC. I AM CONCERNED FOR MY SAFETY AND MY FAMILY. NHTSA RECALL #16V381. MANUFACTURER RECALL NUMBER:2049151 LAST SERVICE AND REQUEST WAS AROUND NOVEMBER TIME FRAM.
TAKATA RECALL : I CONTACTED THE DEALER (QUALITY GMC IN ALBUQUERQUE) AND THEY SAY THEY CANNOT DO ANYTHING ABOUT THIS RECALL.
TAKATA RECALL-I HAVE CONTACTED OUR LOCAL GMC DEALER TO HAVE THE AIRBAGS FIXED FOR THIS RECALL AND I HAVE BEEN TOLD THERE ARE NO PARTS TO FIX THIS POTENTIALLY FATAL ISSUE AND THEY HAVE NO IDEA WHEN THEY WILL GET THE PARTS...TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE. I WANT THIS REMEDIED IMMEDIATELY.
TAKATA RECALL I HAVE CONTACTED AND CALLED EVERY DEALERSHIP ABOUT THIS AIRBAG RECALL AND THEY ALL TELL ME THE SAME THING THAT IT IS AT THE MERCY OF GENERAL MOTORS AND THEY CAN NOT DO ANY WORK UNTIL GM GIVE THE GREEN LIGHT. I HAVE TRIED TO CONTACT BOTH GM AND TK HOLDINGS BY PHONE BUT TO MY SURPRISE NO ANSWER SO I EMAILED THEM BOTH AS WELL. TAKATA RECALL I'M CONCERNED WITH THIS RECALL FOR THE SAFETY OF MYSELF AND TWO KIDS. I CALLED OUR LOCAL GMC DEALER AND THEY SAID THE PARTS WERE NOT AVAILABLE YET TO GET IT FIXED. I NOTICED THAT TAKATA HAS FILED FOR BANKRUPCY SO I'M CONCERNED THAT THIS MIGHT NOT GET TAKEN CARE OF IN A TIMELY MANNER.
I UNDERSTAND THAT THERE IS A SAFETY RECALL FOR THE AIR BAG ON MY 2008 GMC YUKON XL DENALI. TO CORRECT THE PROBLEM, I CONTACTED THE LOCAL GMC DEALER, KEY BUICK GMC, AND WAS INFORMED THAT THE RECALL WAS SET-UP IN JULY, 2016, HOWEVER, THERE IS NO REMEDY AVAILABLE SO FAR. BASED ON MY UNDERSTANDING THE AIR BAG IN THE VEHICLE CAN EXPLODE. I ASSUME THAT GM AND/OR THE MANUFACTURER OF THE AIR BAG SHOULD PLACE THIS MATTER AS THEIR UTMOST PRIORITY TO COME-UP WITH THE REMEDY BEFORE HUMAN LIVES ARE ADVERSELY EFFECTED. PLEASE ADVISE ME HOW I CAN MAKE MY VEHICLE SAFER.
TAKATA RECALL - GM DEALERSHIP STATES "NO REMEDY". MIND BAFFLING TO ME THAT THEY ARE RECALLING A CRITICAL SAFETY COMPONENT THAT IMPACTS THE LIVES OF MY FAMILY AND THEY ARE ALLOWED TO STATE: NO REMEDY. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE TO ME AND NEEDS ATTENTION BY YOUR ORGANIZATION. GIVEN THAT TAKATA IS GOING OUT OF BUSINESS, THE LIKELIHOOD OF REMEDY IS NIL WITHOUT YOUR INTERVENTION. PLEASE HELP!
TAKATA RECALL I HAVE BEEN SENT A NOTICE SAYING THAT THERE IS A RECALL AND I WOULD BE CONTACTED AS TO WHEN IT CAN BE FIXED. STILL NOTHING AND NOW I GET THIS NOTICE OF CHAPTER 11 BANKRUPTCY. TAKATA RECALL. I AM UNABLE TO GET THE AIRBAGS REPLACED BY GMC. THERE ARE NO PARTS ACCORDING TO THE GMC DEALER THAT I CALLED TODAY 10-26-17. I DO NOT KNOW HOW TO PROCEED. IT IS HARD TO BELIEVE THESE AIRBAGS CANNOT BE REPLACED.
TAKATA RECALL. CALLED GMC SERVICE CENTER TO SCHEDULE AIR BAG RECALL @ BERT OGDEN BUICK GMC,4216 US-281, EDINBURG,(956) 348-1113 AND THEY SAID THEY CAN'T FIX BECAUSE THERE IS NO REMEDY YET. I CHECKED THE AIRBAG RECALL WEBSITE AND MY VEHICLE HAS BEEN RECALLED DUE TO AIR BAG FROM TAKATA.

TAKATA RECALL: I WAS SENT A RECALL NOTICE IN JULY 2016, BUT STILL TO THIS DATE, NOTHING HAS BEEN FIXED!!!
TAKATA RECALL I HAVE BEEN CALLING SINCE 2016 AND ALWAYS THE SAME NO PART AVAILABLE AS YET??
DASHBOARD WARNING OF: "SERVICE AIRBAG" CAME ON SEVERAL WEEKS AGO. GOT A NOTICE FROM TK HOLDFINGS; REF, TAKATA AIRBAG INFLATORS. CHECKED LOCAL DEALER FOR RECALL INFO. AND FOUND NO HELP. WAS TOLD A "FIX" WAS NOT AVAILABLE. SO, WHY THE NOTIFICATION IF I CANT GET MY TRUCK REPAIRED UNDER A RECALL? IN THE MEANTIME, I'VE GOT A WARNING LIGHT ON MY DASH, REMINDING ME THAT SOMETHING IS WRONG WITH THE AIRBAG SYSTEM. I REFUSE TO PAY TO HAVE IT INVESTIGATED AND REPAIRED, WHEN IT HAS ALREADY BEEN RECOGNIZED AS BEING FAULTY. WHAT'S GOING ON HERE? DOES MY TRUCK GET REPAIRED OR NOT?
TAKATA RECALL. GM HAS NOT OFFERED A REMEDY TO FIX THE DEFECTIVE AIRBAG. THE AUGUST 2017 DEADLINE HAS PASSED AND GM HAS NOT PROVIDED OWNERS WITH A REMEDY IN A TIMELY MANNER.
5.3 SEVERE OIL CONSUMPTION. AFTER DEACTIVATING THE FUEL MANAGEMENT SYSTEM IT DID SLOW THE CONSUMPTION BUT DID NOT ELEMINATE PROBLEM. NO OIL LEAKS ON ENGINE. MECHANIC SAID IT'S BURNING IT. SO HOW IS THE ECO FRIENDLY? I'VE OWED THIS VEHICLE SINCE 150K NOW I'M ABOUT 180K
