My daughter was backing my car into the garage when the car started to roll forward, hitting my other car, I asked if she put it in drive and she told me no. I asked her to place the emergency brake on. I then pushed the car into the garage. I asked a mechanic to come look at the car, in my garage, he told me the axle had broke. I asked him if has ever seen this and he said it was very unusual. He also told me it looks as if has rusted in the spot that broke. I looked on the internet and noticed a recall on Honda accord axles rusting, do to not being rust proofed and the he salt in the Midwest region causing the axle to rust. The component was front axle.
