There are 1 owner-reported lighting complaints for the 2017 Honda Accord Hybridin NHTSA's database. These are unverified consumer reports and may not reflect confirmed defects.
MANY NEW CARS ARE NOW EQUIPPED WITH DAYTIME RUNNING LIGHTS. I HAVE EXPERIENCED MANY DRIVERS INCLUDING MYSELF, WHO HAVE STARTED OUT DRIVING AT DUSK AND NOT REALIZED THAT THEY ARE DRIVING WITH THE DAYTIME RUNNING LIGHTS ON ONLY. THE VEHICLES TAILLIGHTS ARE NOT OPERABLE WITH ONLY THE DAYTIME RUNNING LIGHTS ACTIVATED. I JUST RECENTLY APPROACHED A VEHICLE ON A POORLY LIT ROADWAY THAT DID NOT HAVE ANY TAIL LAMPS ACTIVATED. THIS SEEMS TO BE A BUILT IN DANGER WITH THE NEW VEHICLES.
Complaints are unverified consumer reports submitted to NHTSA. A high complaint count may reflect vehicle popularity, not defect severity. Data sourced from NHTSA public records.
